Summoner Spells Back to Top

4.png+14.png is the standard thing to take on mid Annie. The ignite damage adds kill pressure and let's you all in for a kill your enemy at a higher health value. The grievious wounds is also good against healing.

4.png+12.png is my go to summoner when I give up the possibility of 1v1 killing my laner. I take Teleport to be able to go to my lane instantly after my first back and to be able to TP gank sidelanes.

4.png+6.png seems to have become a popular pick amongst mid laners, including Annie. I haven't tried this yet but a lot of high ranked players use it on Annie mid. It replaces the damage spell 14.png, and instead gives you more movement speed for 10 seconds. In these 10 seconds you can run away, catch up with someone, avoid damage, roam, etc. If you feel like you're not good at positioning yourself, don't bother with this one in my opinion.

Masteries Back to Top

12/18/0
Default Annie mastery page. It is currently pre-season 7: Double-edged sword's stats have changed and it is tier 4 instead of 2 now. Feast is definitely the best tier 2 ferocity for Annie now. With having Feast, I feel like Secret stash isn't needed, so I choose for Assassin. In tier 4 I choose Bounty hunter because I don't feel like the added received damage on Double-edged sword is worth it when Bounty hunter exists in the same tier.

18/0/12
Ferocity tree is the same as 12/18/0, take the magic penetration and Deathfire Touch. In the Resolve tree it's Recovery, Explorer, Veteran's Scars and Insight. There are people that like 18/12/0 but I don't like it. When taking Deathfire Touch it is to use the DOT, I've already forfeited the burst from Thunderlord's Decree. Therefore I don't find the 12 points in Cunning more efficient then the 12 points in Resolve, which gives Insight. When taking Deathfire Touch I often build 3040.png of 3027.png. Scaling cdr runepage recommended, this increases your dps and lets you apply DFT more often while having a low cdr item build.

zxxxzxzxzxzxzxxxxdd.png0/18/12
The Annie Bot starter pack. Everything in Cunning that can help burst someone and Insight from the Resolve tree to have a lower cooldown on Flash 4.png. You trade less effectively with this, but you have your Flash up more often which enables the Flash+Tibbers outside of laning.

Generic skill leveling order.
At level 3/4/5 you can pick E earlier if you're getting bullied a lot, the damage reduction will most likely be more useful than a point in Q or W to trade back in that situation.
Be sure to take a second point in W at level 4, this gives you more damage when doing your 3-hit combom W-Q-AA. Having 2 points in Q and W at level 4 allows you to last hit the caster minions with W-AA-Q from 100% HP with just 15 AP from doran's ring or dark seal. The caster minions that arrive with 320 HP don't die to this though, you'll need AP quints or the mastery page with 4 points in Natural Talent.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Standard start, very efficient. The mana refund and regen allows you to freely use W on the wave and to trade with the enemy without getting oom too quick.
I only consider buying this if I have TP. Less possibilities to trade, less health from potion.

Core Items

If you get full build, these items should be in your inventory every game. Boots will be upgraded of course.
    Very often bought.

Situational Items

    Less often bought.
    Pure defensive items.
    Frost Queen's Claim

Starter items

1082.png+2031.png:  It doesn't give mana regen or refund and the refillable gives noticeably less health than 2 normal potions. It makes you less able to trade but the stacking potential and the effective health after a refill is what makes it good. Doran's start is safer.

Very often bought

1001.png: for dodging skillshots, effectively reducing a lane's length and for roaming.

3027.png: gives a lot of stats for a cheap price, but needs to be stacked first. The sustain is really nice for laning but this item does not give you an immediate power spike to snowball the game with.

3165.png: A not too expensive source of high ap and 20% cdr. Usually only built when running scaling ap glyphs. Important to buy against healers to apply grievious wounds on them.

Less often bought

3040.png: usually combined with deathfire touch scaling cdr glyphs to increase dps while having a low cdr item build. An item that's is heavily reliant on stacking/scaling. Usually bought if you're not gonna burst annieone annieways, hence the choice for DFT and scaling cdr glyphs.

3060.png: allows you to either counter an enemy banner or to create a splitpushing minion.

3100.png: maybe as a superlate game replacement for 3165.png.

3152.png: gives you a dash that allows for more engage possibilities. Can also be used as a low economy item as it's REALLY cheap.

Pure defensive items

3512.png: only realistic scenario is when it is bought as a 5/6th item to place at an inhib turret to stall the enemy's momentum. Or you're playing tank Annie.

Frost Queen's Claim

3092.png: a strong item in an earlier patch, but nerfed to the point it is rarely seen in mid lane anymore. It gives good gold generation and a good active slow for roaming (?). Annie Bot started picking this item as his first item almost every game when season 6 was just about to end.

Build path examples

Items before the arrow are important and very often in that order, items after the arrow can be different and/or in a different order. If there is no starting item, pick one. If there is a starting item stated, you can switch it with the other 'starting' items situationally (doran's rings, the dark seal).

Annie tips and tricks Back to Top

Pyromania stun

4 stacks: stun with Q, W or R.
3 stacks: stun with Q>W, Q>E, Q>R, E+R, E+W
2 stacks: stun with Q>W+E, Q>W>R, Q>R+E
1 stack: stun with pressing all the buttons. this takes a long time as your Q, W and R use a cast time. Best thing to do is dropping R>W and then stunning them with Q. DONT ENGAGE with 1 stack, it's posibble but it's way too slow.
0 stacks: no stun possible. Using all abilities gets you to 4 stacks. You'll have to wait for your Q cooldown to stun with that.

Managing Pyromania stacks

While CS'ing with Q, keep track of both the enemy's minions and your minions' health bars. If your minion is getting low enough for your enemy laner to last hit, get 3 or 4 stacks of Pyromania and zone them. This is zoning with a CC or damage move like anybody else would do, but your CC is in your passive stacks, not in one ability particular. So when they see you're on 1 stack, they will CS freely without getting pressured by you.

Forcing enemy retreat with all-in

You can Tibbers combo (without using flash or ignite) the enemy midlaner even if it won't kill them. It will force them out of lane or it will allow you to flash W+Q ignite them. Doesn't work as well on people that have bought anniething that gives magic resist or on champions that can farm behind their turret and/or outside your flash W range.

Tibbers does NOT need 4 Pyromania stacks to summon

Yeah, surprise surprise, you can use your ultimate without 4 Pyromania stacks. Don't forget this, many people say 'Don't use tibbers without stun!'. This is helpful until you reach level 30 in LoL >_>

When to Q stun

Against champions like Leblanc and Ezreal, use your ignite and Q early since those are your targeted abilities, then use W and R to finish them off. You can't use Q during Leblanc stealth and Ezreal might be able to E out of your W or R. Q stun in situations where you're unsure if you're gonna hit your W or Q.

Tibbers is a minion and can block skillshots

He can get Q'd by Nunu, W'd by Syndra, W'd by Tam Kench. Don't just let Tibbers run loose, tell him to do something constantly. You can also use Tibbers to block skillshots that would be stopped by minions like Lee Sin Q and Ahri E.

Kled and Skaarl

If you lasthit Skaarl with a 4th stack Q, the stun stack will be consumed but Kled won't be stunned after he jumps off of Skaarl.

Tibbers teleport

You can command Tibbers to walk from point A to point B, but you can also command him to reach his maximum leash range, this will teleport him right next to you.

Tibbers bait

You can fake a recall in a brush by letting Tibbers stand just outside a brush in plain sight of the enemy. They will be baited into thinking you're recalling in the brush. You can recall in another spot instead, or kill them.
