Summoner Spells Back to Top

I take flash on azir in all my games.

Take exhaust if you are against someone like Zed, Yasuo, or whoever you think it is good against.
You can go either barrier or heal. I prefer heal because I can speed up and heal my jungler when they gank. But it is all up to you.

Masteries Back to Top

12/18 are probably the best masteries to take on azir.

If you would like to change bounty to oppressor or savagery to wanderer you can but these are just what I run.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

    Standard Start

Core Items

    Don't upgrade until last item
    Then this
Buy in whatever order you need them in
I buy these pretty much every game
    Get this LAST ITEM

Situational Items

If they have a lot of hp
If you like ludens replace zhonyas

Stinger - Shoes - Rylai's - Void - Death - Zhonyas - Nashors

This is my standard final build almost every game
+++ The reason you don't finish nashors until last item is because the only thing you get from finishing it is 80 AP and 20% CDR (nashors passive doesn't work on Azir's W (soldiers). You just want to reach your strong point the fastest so you get nashors last. If you like nashors first go ahead but I don't

Getting Good At Azir, Combos, Goodbye Back to Top

The only way to get good at any champions is to play them alot. Azir is one of the hardest or the hardest champion to get good at. I have only been maining Azir for a month but I think I can teach you some useful information.

Combos: The first basic Azir combo is called the drift. This is where you place a soldier E to it and right before you hit your soldier you Q. This will allow you to travel to your soldier while it is dashing. This is very useful for engaging and escaping.
The next combo is called the shurima shuffle. What you want to do is drift towards your enemy and then if you hit them with your e you can r backwards into your team or tower. If you don't hit them with e you with most likely have to flash behind them to hit them with the ult. The more you do this the easier it will be. This can be very imprtant in teamfights or in lane when you are trying to get a kill.
Next I will teach you your basic lane combo. In lane if you are against a melee opponent you will want to put your soldier on top of the minions they are hitting. If you can get 1 auto on them you should Q towards them and auto them again. This will proc your Thunder Lords. Every time you try to do damage to your opponent in lane try to get the Thunder Lords proc because it does a lot of damage.
Azir is a very hard but very fun champion. As I learn more I will update this guide. I hope you enjoyed this guide. I know it is simple but it is pretty much all the basics you need to know. I'm sure that the more you play him you will learn your own way of playing him. This is pretty much the whole guide. Btw this is my first guide if you have any suggestions or things that I could work on or questions just leave it in the comments. :)
