DISCLAIMERS

This guide actually don't have a section for gameplay in deep, it's just a build/rune/playstyle combination that I created because Bard is a loved champ for me and I've never seen this in other webs or guides so I think "why not share it?"

Please, take the time to read the guide because I explain there why I choose one thing instead of the other.

I almost don't have ranked games with Bard, and even with other champions because I decided to learn and mastery GP months ago, but even of that fact I played Bard a lot and I tried a lot of builds and lanes.

A nice thing about the new rune system is the variety of worth strats, so don't think that I'm saying "play this, is the best"

Im doing my best to make the guide organized and "cute", but it's my first and I don't know how use the guide tool of LoLKing, once I touched the font size and bugs attacked D:, so... sorry!

PD: If you thumb up this guide and you like it I can expand it and explain combos, sinergy with ADC's, tricks, etc. Just ask for it :-)

What I get?  Why is a good rune/build guide?

Hello, if you are interested to know why I play 432.png this way then read the benefits

This are the benefits of the build, the variations in stats are because of situational items, depending of wich you choose:

-Very powerfull bardw.png (like 350 heal level 8~12, 600+ lategame)

-Full CDR

-Around 200~300 AP lategame (in other words = a lot of damage being Bard)

-2500~3500 HP

-100~200 MR/Armor.

-Utility on actives (Redemption, Solaris, Knight's)

As you can see is a mix that gives you all, you don't lose DMG for having utility or tankyness and vice versa, that's what I've looking for.

If it sounds good for you... let's read the guide:

4.png

  • No explanation about this, 4.png is a must on almost every champ of League (except someones like27.png , you know), so... take it 100% of the time.

3.png

  • Ok, here starts the real sh*t, I know that almost everyone Bard player uses14.png , and I understand why but the tittle says "my way" so read the guide, the way that I play Bard is making thebardw.png something relevant because when I start playing him I noticed that the heals wasn't heal (xD) I'll talk more about this in the next sections, but you need to know that the guide it's for play Bard healing a lot and defending the carries, and if you add the fact that right now Targon + Overheal for play safe are "meta" the aggressive early stomp 432.png is not a real thing, if you wanna play some aggressive support you have a lot more, I'm trying to give 432.png a DMG/Heals balance so 3.png is the best option in this case.

14.png

  • Not the best option IN THIS GUIDE, if you are putting all your tokens on early game... take it, but I don't recommend it.

New Runes Back to Top

RUNES

Ok, here comes the explanation of how this build works. I'll explain the runes one by one but first let me clarify that our friend can use a few runes effectively, like Glacial%20Augment.png?width=32orElectrocute.png?width=32but, again, this is my way.

SORCERY

Summon%20Aerie.png?width=32 Summon: Aery

Excelent for how I want play the champion, this little friend give us extra damage, creating pressure and kill potential but most important is the first power up for us bardw.png , sinergy, relative low CD, etc.

The%20Ultimate%20Hat.png?width=32 Ultimate Hat

I know that Manaflow%20Band.png?width=32 is very usefull on lane, but think about how you will use it later... the The%20Ultimate%20Hat.png?width=32 give us more bardr.png and considerating how this ultimate can change or initiate battles, plus the full CDR build the bardr.png has 40 seconds of cooldown it's a great rune for 432.png.

Transcendence.png?width=32 Trascendence

Another core rune, I've tried a lot in the S7 the powerfull bardw.png build, but the problem was the low damage, with Transcendence.png?width=32 and the items that you'll buy your AP will be around 200~300 on lategame without the obligation of being squishy or not having utility/peel items, with this rune you don't need to care about CDR cap, moreover the most CDR you overcap the better is.

Waterwalking.png?width=32 Waterwalking

In this branch of the runes page we have Scorch.png?width=32 wich is pretty nice, but considerating that 432.png is a roaming support plus bardpassive.png around the map make Waterwalking.png?width=32 a nice sinergy rune for our favorite space-time God.

RESOLVE
thumb (1).jpg

Font%20of%20Life.png?width=32 Font of Life

Another way to make 432.png a relevant healer, this rune aply when you use your bardpassive.png autoatacks and your bardq.png.

Revitalize.png?width=32 Revitalize

Excelent rune for our intentions playing Bard, is amazing if you think about all of the bardw.png power ups we have for now, and the items will improve it even more.

Let's see, it's not a secret that bardq.png is your needed maxed ability, it's your most powerfull tool and the second point at level 4 is almost a must because the potential of your barde.png while laning on early levels is really low, the second ability to max, although the barde.png is amazing, will be bardw.png, remember, we are boosting our heals and most of the power ups in the heal are %, so at most higher is your base heal most powerfull will be the boosts, we'll mainly peeling and protecting.

I know barde.png is very good for max after bardq.png but if you try the bardw.png second (especially and mainly for the runes/build) you'll notice how much you're healing of nowhere.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

AP helps on DMG and healing, so we'll go for this instead of Coin.
You can take this if there's a hard lane to play against (DMG supports, early high damage ADC's)

Core Items

Core items, Redemption's +10% heals and shields applies on W and Aerys, Grail is amazing because you'll do damage 100% of the time between W and W so the heal will be absolutely powerfull.
You should go for this almost ever.
If you're snowballing and potentially will break the nexus soon go for this, you can catch people alone thanks to the great sinergy of the slow ghosts + R, and AP for nuke people :D.
Choose depending of the game, enemy team, lane, etc.

Situational Items

A lot of enemy magic damage + a DPS magic damage on your team, or a triple AP comp, etc. Very situational.
Nice sinergy with Font of Life, each meep and Q will mark the enemy, then if someone hit that enemy will be buffed with Censer, also your meeps will hit on area so is a nice option if you're ahead and want to go aggresive, first take Grail and Redemption.
Highly recommended, tankyness, CDR, mooore healings for your carry, 10/10 item, not core for our set up but very very nice.
Highly recommended but not like 2nd o 3rd item, because it scales with HP, if you don't have a respectable amount of HP it's like a 6/10 item. Having HP improves a lot the active and makes it an amazing option.
ALMOST a core item, why? because if you have enough HP to use the passive (nor rare considerating the other items on the build) is superb for engage or defend, make damage with your passive, throw a Q, tank the team and then go to a safe place to refill your HP completely while you're healing from the backline.
I don't like this a lot, but definitely a good as a support, take it when there's a defining and dangerous CC.

The explanation of why use each item and when use it is above in the boxes, take the time to read it so you can choose wisely for help your teammates :3

PD: If you need in deep explanation and examples for each item or one in particular leave a comment :-)

Thank for reading my guide! Back to Top

Hey everyone, thanks for read the guide 432.png .

As I said, I've never seen a playstyle focused on take the bardw.png an make it really (really) relevant, I mean I've seen Athene's on Bard, I've seen Aery, etc,. but I've never seen use ALL that you have for make the heals the strongest possible PLUS having a lot of damage with Transcendence.png?width=32 so I want to share it.

If you have any recommendation let me know it in the commentaries :-)

PD: English is not my mother language, so sorry for any mistake on spelling, verbs or some thing like that, and also sorry for the font size, the guide tool bugged for some reason.

Good-bye and enjoy playing 432.png!!
