Summoner Spells Back to Top

  • 4.png You take Flash almost every time on Darius. It's just the to-go Summoner Spell for every situation. With Flash's defensive and offensive component, you can escape almost every situation or flash for a kill, just a very good allround Spell.

  • 6.png Ghost pretty much prevents you from getting kited in teamfights or either in lane. You wan't to take Ghost, when you are either up against ranged top laners, like Quinn or Gnar.

  • 12.png Since Darius is a lane bully and has a very high damage output, TP will help you get back to lane for Creeps. Also you are able to splitpush and still join your Team which is really good. Botlane flanks will be almost impossible, since the channel duration is way to long, but you can go for drake TP's.

  • 14.png Ignite gives you greater lane dominance if you have either a counter matchup or feel more comfortable with more lane presence. You will win your lane most of the time especially when your lane opponent takes TP.

Masteries Back to Top

With this Mastery page, you are very aggressive which is your goal as a lane bully and it's good if you go a tanky itembuild. Here you've got some flat Hybrid-Pen which you didn't take in the runes. With Greenfather's Gift, you can just walk into one of the three bushes on Toplane and try to get it off on the enemy champion. Everything else should explain itself.

Darius' Abilities:

  • Passive: Hemorrhage

Darius' basic attacks and damaging abilities cause enemys to bleed 10-27 ( level 1-18 ) and has a scaling of 30% bonus AD over 5 seconds, but stacking up to 5 times. If you apply 5 stacks, or kill an enemy with Noxian Guillotine, you get Noxian Might*.

*Noxian Might: Darius gainst 40-200 ( level 1-18 ) bonus AD and instantly applies full stacks to enemys hit.

  • Q Spell: Decimate

Darius hefts his axe for 0,75s and then swings it, dealing double the damage to enemys hit by the blade.
He also heals for 12%-36% of his missing health depending on how much enemys hit by the blade.
The damage for the shaft is 20 / 35 / 50 / 65 / 80 + 50% / 55% / 60% / 65% / 70% AD.
The damage for the blade is 40 / 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 + 100% / 110% / 120% / 130% / 140% AD.
It has a cooldown of
9s / 8s / 7s / 6s / 5s and mana costs of 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 depending on ability level.

  • W Spell: Crippling Strike

It is an Auto Attack reset ability, which gives him bonus range on activation and deals 40% bonus AD. It slows the enemy hit by 90% for 1s and refunds the mana cost of 30 and half of the cooldown which is 9s / 8s / 7s / 6s / 5s.

  • E Spell: Apprehend

Darius passivly gains 5% / 10% / 15% / 20% /25% Armor Pen., depending on ability level.
After a short delay, Darius pulls all enemy in front of him, slowing them by 40% for 1s.
It has a stable mana cost of 45 and a cooldown of 24s / 21s / 18s / 15s / 12s.

  • R Spell: Noxian Guillotine

Darius dashes to his target and deals 100 / 200 / 300 true damage + 75% bonus AD. The damage is increased by 20% for each stack of Hemorrhage, up to 100%. It has a cooldown of 120s / 100s / 80s, but unlocks entirely at Rank 3.
If you kill the target, nearby minions will be feared for 3s and you may recast the ability for 20s.

Starting Items

    Normal starter
if you are against either ranged or someone who works a lot with auto attacks

Core Items

The core build i use, a lot of tankynes and healthy damage
this is a very aggressive build which still gives you tankyness, movement speed to stay with your enemys and a lot of damage, great for carrying

Situational Items

Take either one of them if you are behind in lane or feel like you need them
you can take this item if you want your enemys to stay even closer to you
take this if they have 4 or more ad champions

VS

Cassiopeia

Hard

So if the enemy plays Cassiopeia top, which is also kinda rare, you need to aggresse here early on to win her lane. You really need to watch out for her ultimate and her Rylais spike against you. If you dont manage to kill her earlier in the game, I suggest roaming.

VS

Cho'Gath

Medium

Only thing to watch out for is Cho'Gath's silence. I suggest you baiting the silence and then go for an all-in. Try to dodge his Q's in lane and you will be good to go.

VS

Dr. Mundo

Medium

Dr. Mundo needs, as Cassiopeia, to be shut down early. In the mid or late game he has either more tankyness or damage and his ultimate just gives him too much healing.

VS

Fiora

Hard

Fiora can just Riposte your Q when trading in lane, which hurts you a lot, since damage and healing is gone. In the mid-late game, her passive will do too much damage for you and you have no chance. Ask for either jungle help or go roaming.

VS

Gangplank

Medium

Gangplank is a medium matchup, because if you hook him he is most likely to die with your ultimate up. Don't use all of your CC at once, because he might orange it. If he pokes you down in lane with his barrels, just go for an all-in. Barrel damage will be very high later on so be aware of that!

VS

Garen

Easy

Garen is a very easy matchup. Just bait his silence once, and you can all-in him. Without enemy jungle help it should be safe winning lane.

VS

Gnar

Medium

Gnar will poke you down in lane, but if you manage to hook him once in his mini form, he should be dead. I suggest either building thornmail, or go for the Ghost Summoner Spell.

VS

Illaoi

Medium

Skill lane. If you can dodge her Q's and E's, you will win your lane. If you get often hit by them, you've lost your lane pretty hard since she can snowball.

VS

Irelia

Medium

Only thing to watch out here, is for a potential engage. If she dashes to you while you "channel" your Q, you might have a problem. Otherwise just normally trade her in lane and you should win it.

VS

Jayce

Easy

Jayce might poke you down a bit, but if you manage to either Ghost to him or use your Phage movementspeed, you can hook him and without Flash he cant escape.

VS

Kennen

Medium

Kennen has a very high range on his Q, so all you want to do is standing behind minions. If he tries to go for CS, use either Ghost or your Phage movement speed.

VS

Lissandra

Medium

Same as the Gnar matchup.

VS

Malphite

Medium

Same as the Mundo matchup, you need to shut him down early, otherwise he will be way too tanky.

VS

Quinn

Hard

It is very hard to come close to her. Always take Ghost! Ask for jungle help or all-in her with Ghost, otherwise you need to roam because your lane will be lost.

VS

Renekton

Medium

Same as the Irelia matchup.

VS

Rumble

Easy

If he goes for CS, you can just grab and kill him, he has no way to escape. Phage movementspeed is enough to get close to him when he tries to CS with his Q.

VS

Tryndamere

Medium

Tryndamere needs to be killed early on. You basically need to kill him >6 because otherwise he might be able to overrun you. Taking ignite is recommended.

VS

Vladimir

Medium

Vladimir will poke you down in lane, he can pool your E so it's kinda hard to get to him. Try to bait his pool and then go for a all-in. Taking Ghost and Ignite is recommended.
