Summoner Spells Back to Top

You ever want to take 4.png because its the best summoner spell in the game and in 90% of the time
and also because you need it for your Q Flash Combo (I'll cover Combos more in the Combos Section below)
12.png
as your second Summoner Spell because it gives you more options for roaming or just to come safer to lv6/survive the early game.
 
If you play in the Jungle pick of course 11.png as your second Summoner spell.

Take 14.png only in matchup you think you wont be able to win without for example 157.png or 238.png etc
BUT you dont have to and I sometimes still prefer 12.png over 14.png because if you play safe until you hit 6 you simply dont need ignite just play safe and dont let you opponents snowball you.

NOTE: vs LB e.g you dont need Ignite in my opinion because once you survive your pre 6 time you can almost 100 to 0 her with a simple Q-R-W-R-Passive AA-Combo ^^

NOTE 2: I cover wheter I take 12.png or 14.png in the Matchup Section below.

(I used to pick 3.png very rearly vs Assasins when i DuoQed with someone and its totaly fine too but 12.png is still the way to go in my opinion)
Sumoner spells i wouldnt recommend on Diana would be: 21.png2.png13.png1.png6.png7.png

This is a somewhat normal Mastery Page for Diana.
OFC you can take Double Edged Sword over Feast but i like the little extra sustain more than the little procentage damage increase you would get.
Same with the Cookies you can of course take Assasin for the 1.5% extra damage you get only tho when you are ALONE and you wont be alone always when you are in the Midlane so its your decisoin what you like more.
Thunderlords should be normal on Diana duo to its easieness you can prock it e.g. you need only to hit all of your 3 W Orbs in order to prock Thunderlords or you simply AA the enemy 3 times what even increases the damage you would deal with your Passive(3th AA) on top and in generel its just very easy to proc thunderlords on Diana so I would recommend everyone who wants to play her to take thunderlords (even in the Jungle Thunderlords>Strenghts of the Ages)

Wheter you are in the Mid/Toplane OR in the Jungle you should always start with your dianaW.png because of the shield you get from it and cause you can proc Thunderlords very easy even on Level 1 you simply need to hit 1 or 2 Orbs and do 1 to 2 AA and your enemy should already be at 50-60% HP if he underestimated you.
Then skill dianaQ.png on lv 2 and 3 and skill dianaW.png on level 4 again [you can skill dianaE.png on level 4 too but i prefer the stronger shield in the laning phase but I have to experiment now after her E got buffed a bit in Patch 6.17]

But I personally think you dont need yourdianaE.png before level 8 to be honest because the greater shield and Dmg on your dianaW.png will get you almost in 95% of the times more. The only times i would skill dianaE.png on level 4 would be if I havent warded yet and the enemy Jungler is meele and easily kiteable/dont has much cc or if my Jungler comes to gank me and my oponent is inmobile e.g. 1.png4.png etc so they MUST burn their 4.png or pretty much die to either me or my Jungler but that is rearely the case so better dont skill your dianaE.png until you are level 8 and just play safe and WARD WARD WARD!

Starting Items

    Standard Start Items You will buy them in over 95% of your games.
    Standard Junglestart Itmes for Diana (in my opinion I prefer the Talisman more because you get easier through the Jungle if you start at your red instead of your Blue and you will be OOM really fast with Machet BUT once again just my personal prteference^^)

Core Items

    Glascanon vs AD Zhonyas-Dcap-Void-Ludens-Nashor's get boots after zhonyas
    Glascanon vs AP Abysall OR Ludens first-Dcap-Void-Nashor's get boots after first item (sell the boots if you are full build for a zhonyas)
    Ap Off-tank ROA-Nashor's-Dcap-Void/Zhonyas get boots after ROA or Nashor's
    Build this if you are super hard ahead or just want to onehit everyone! Ludens-Lichbane-Dcap-Void-Nashor's/Abysal/Zhonyas w/e you feel like you need (look at the situational items!) boots after Ludens/Lichbane

Situational Items

    Buying One of these items FIRST is fine too but not always recommended
    The Only Real defense items you want to buy (keep in mind you play an heavy AP-burst champion not a full tank Mundo)

I normally go either 3 Dorans into Ludens/Abysall/Zhonyas first OR straight into ROA
I personally like 3 Dorans very much because you can just go base with 900-1k Gold buy another 2 Dorans 2 pots 1 Pink if you have enough money for one and tp straight back into your lane with those items you can usually crush almost every oponnent at least after you hit level 6 and played even pre6 with him you will now be able to pretty much bully your enemy until he grets his first item because of the raw stats the 3 Dorans give you and more importantly all the mana reg you get through killing minions (12 Mana PER UNIT YOU KILL!). You also get 30 Ap and 120 Health on top of that for only 800 Gold and you usually can buy your 2 extra Dorans after you hit level 4-5 depends on how well you cs ;P
'Only' 1 or 2 Dorans are fine tho its just more comfortable for me to go with 3 Dorans and also i got used to it^^
