Summoner Spells Back to Top

This ad carry guide and this are best summoner spells you can get, here is explanation why.There are other possiblities but i will not cover them since i think they aren't viable as much as these are on ad carry role.

1. Heal is most useful survival summoner spell if you are playing marksman because it heals you for good amount of health and also heals your support + it gives movement speed buff witch is extremly useful against ganks and high mobility junglers.

2. Flash is most common pick for summoner spell because it gives ability to jump over walls, dodge spells, enable agressive combos etc....it's a must have summoner spell. !!!

Masteries Back to Top

Explanation for each mastery point taken.

Cunning:12
1. Five points in Savagery because it gives you 5 extra damage with spells and basic attks to minions which is really important early for farming and pushing minion waves.
2. One point in Secret Stash because it gives you +20hp/10mana instantly on use and that's extremly helpful in early fights and can save your life in most situations.
3. Five points in Merciles, reason behind this is that extra 5% damage to targets below 40% hp.Very useful for finishing off your enemies.
4. One point in Dangerous Game, much better than a Bandit also heals you on kills and assists. Sometimes that extra 5% hp can save your life.

Ferocity:18
1.Five points into Fury for extra 4% attack speed, best mastery for most of ad carrys since they rely on it.
2.Duble Edged Sword increases your damage dealt by 2% but it also increases damage taken by 2%, very good mastery for agressive plays and more damage.
3.Five points in Vampirism for extra 2% of lifesteal combined with Dorans blade you start game with 5%  lifesteal wich is pretty good sustain early game.
4.Personaly i think Opresor is much better than a Bounty Hunter mastery because you want to increase that damage early game rather than stacking % damage for late.
5.Obviously Battering Blows is taken over Piercing Thoughts since other one gives magic penetration and Draven doesn't really really need that.Every Draven spell deals physical damage and that extra 7% armor penetration helps alot.
6.Warlord's Bloodlust is amazing keystone which gives Draven insane sustain while low hp, other keystones are good but they give damage. I think Draven doesn't really needs that extra damage from other keystones and this one is best choice in my opinion.


That's pretty much for the masteries at this patch.Once again these are masteries i personaly use, but you are free to test other ones and try to fit your own playstyle.

Starting Items

    Common starting items for ad carry.

Core Items

    Best first item you can get early, get it on your first back if you can.
    If you are forced to back before you get 1300 gold get this item it helps you trade and gives you big kill potential in 2v2 fights.
    Get boots after you have these two items or buy it if you get back to base with 1200 gold in combination with vamp scepter.
    If you return with 800-1000 gold this is your first choice, it depends if you need that extra movement speed+ attack speed.
    If you return to base with 800-1000 and you don't need that extra movement speed, more damage and one step closer to Infinity Edge is good.
    1300-1500 gold you can get zeal instead of pickaxe or bersekers boots, after that continue working on Inifinity edge.
    This should be your midgame build
    I personaly started to like Rapid Firecannon more than Pd or Static because it gives you ability to hit squishy targets while sieging turrets...also helps you pickup some kills while chasing.

Situational Items

You don't allways have to follow same build, be free to test items that you think will work for you and your playstyle.When you are making your build allways check enemy team champions and look what source of damage they do(ex.if enemy team got zed you should make qss but in game where are no cc champs you don't really need it) and build around that.

Ashe can be really hard adc to play against if she goes for passive/poke and wait for safe 6.....but aswell she lacks mobility and if caugh out of position with your E she can be dead really fast.Stand behind minions early to avoid her w, try to trade her when she goes for a last hit and punish her mistakes by catching her out of position with your E.

Caitlyn

Easy

Cait range allows her to poke from a distance and make really good trades....try doing safe trades and wait your support to land skillshot....also be really careful with rushing at her because you are going to be on really bad position which she's probably going to use to punish you with E/Q combo....just try to survie early game against her and you are going to be fine after first few levels.

Corki

Easy

Corki has and escape pretty good range....he will probably play passive and wait his support to land skillshot on you which gona hurt you after his burst....but dodging his q early will punish him alot and you will have favorable trades with him....so get your chance to trade him while his q is on cooldown or when he goes for a skillshot.

Ezreal

Easy

Ez can play pretty passive agianst Draven until he gets items that he needs, try to trade him after he misses his Q ability it's his main source of damage.Use minions as your shield!

Easy

Graves is really tanky champion and he's one of adcs that can trade draven pretty well despite having really low range...if he haves support that bring cc be really careful at level 6....also he's smoke bomb gives draven huge truble if landed good at good time.

Jinx

Easy

Jinx will be able to poke you very good with rockets....and her traps are going to be pain in the ass if caugh out of position....if you are pushing her under turret be really careful of traps and w.....but jinx is like ashe,without mobility who can be punished easily with your E ability.

Easy

Lucian is one of the best adc's to counter draven with....because he's laser and passive give insane trade potential at early levels..take care of position at early part of game,because getting caugh of any support cc spell gona cost you alot of health.

Miss Fortune

Easy

Mf have no dash ability soo it's pretty easy to catch her out of position,don't play passive against her because she's going to punish you with q spell if you stand behind creeps.Try going for trades and at lvl 4 you can easily kill her if you "e" her....

Sivir

Easy

Sivir Q can be easily landed on you since it's really obv where draven go when he catch axes.....but she can be punished if out of position like most of the adcs without escape...also trading with her should be really easy.Try to save your E ability to use it after she waste shield on something else.

Twitch

Easy

Don't let this champion stack alot of poison on you...try making safe trades and be carefu of enemy support,because if you get caugh in cc he's going to have alot of time to make stacks and easy kill you....try making safe trades and punish him with your E when he's out of position also try going for kill only if locked hard by your support.

Vayne

Easy

Laning phase against vayne can be really easy and really hard it all depends on the supports :) and ofcourse mistakes.....you should be really aggresive early on.

Early Game Back to Top

Early game is most important part of the game for Draven.You want to be agressive on lane and pick up as much kills as you can....if you don't, you're going to be punished by death/ganks wich is going to cause you lose stacks and get far behind enemy adc wich is really really bad for Draven.So most important tips for early game i can give you are...try to position really good and dodge enemy skillshots,go for trades since draven "Q" damage is really high at early levels.Try having 2 spinning axes all the time and punish enemy players for bad positioning with your E ability.Once you succesfuly make few kills,you should be able to snowball lane and also the game pretty easy.After that try using that advantage to help your team in midgame by killing dragon or taking mid turret.

Mid Game Back to Top

Mid game should be pretty easy if you succesfuly done early game picking up few kills, at that point you should have atleast Bt or Ie and boots.If enemy mid lane have really good wave clear such as (oriana, ziggs...) don't go for mid siege(Draven is not really good at sieging turrets), stay at bot and don't take bot turret....use it to deny enemy cs and get even more advantage over enemy players. Ask your support to ward deep in enemy jungle and around drake to secure that objective since you have advantage over enemy botlane. Once you completed your mid game build,you can group with your team and start looking for bigger objectives or even finishing the game.

Late Game Back to Top

As you already know draven is good in every part of game, but in lategame he can show himself as true carry, ofcourse if you know what to do. So let's get started....first thing you need to know is who to focus?, Well it's pretty easy, you should be focusing nearest target as every marksman does(don't be bothered if "low elo boys" flame you over focusing tank or w/e_).Try spamming your "W" to use movement speed as advantage,also your "E" ability can help you alot, catching someone out of position or simply use it to slow/kite enemy tank/bruiser. Focus on picking up axes and positioning really good,since one bad move can cost you teamfight or even game....don't get too greedy(Draven players usualy get really greedy :D). Follow your team,stay grouped and try to finish game while you have advantage.
