We’re looking for as much front-loaded damage as possible so we can burst out enemies before they have a chance to retaliate. 3303.png/3098.png proc + 3057.png proc +Electrocute.png?width=32proc alone will cut down enemies who haven't purchased MR and put a dent in those who have.
Dark%20Harvest.png?width=32is also viable, as it can proc multiple times in teamfights, but its harder to make use of when playing from behind. If we aren't able to consistently stack Dark%20Harvest.png?width=32, it won't do us any good. Electrocute.png?width=32 is always guaranteed damage when it procs, making it the more reliable and safer bet.179.png

Sudden Impact

Sudden%20Impact.png?width=32 is the only choice for 28.png. Because we always leave stealth before dealing damage, Sudden%20Impact.png?width=32 is a shoe-in.179.png

 Eyeball Collection

Eyeball%20Collection.png?width=32 is the Domination tree's mini 1082.png/3041.png. The majority of our stacks are going to come from champion takedowns, so taking all these stacking runes and items: Eyeball%20Collection.png?width=32 and Relentless%20Hunter.png?width=32 will help us to snowball even further out of control if we are given the chance to.
Zombie%20Ward.png?width=32 is sorta viable, but because we are invisible for a majority of the game, we don't want to come out of evelynnpassive.png and reveal ourselves destroying a ward. 179.png

 Relentless Hunter 

Relentless%20Hunter.png?width=32 at max stacks gives us an additional 48 movement speed. 28.png base movement speed + 3020.png + Relentless%20Hunter.png?width=32 + Celerity.png?width=32 gives us around 440 OUT OF COMBAT movement speed! High movement speed + evelynnpassive.png invisibility makes us very difficult to protect against.

 The Ultimate Hat

The%20Ultimate%20Hat.png?width=32 puts our evelynnr.png on a shorter cooldown the more we use it, up to a cap. Cooldown reduction is a relatively worthless stat on 28.png because evelynnq.pngevelynnw.pngevelynne.png have relatively short cooldowns; only evelynnr.png benefits from it. The%20Ultimate%20Hat.png?width=32 rounds out our kit's cooldowns without the use of an item slot.179.png

 Celerity 

Celerity.png?width=32 gives us even more movement speed and AD. It has good synergy with Relentless%20Hunter.png?width=32, giving us the movement speed to be at the right place at the right time and chase down enemies. The extra damage is nice too.
Absolute%20Focus.png?width=32 trades more damage for less MS, but IMO, MS in general isn't that big of a problem for perma-stealthed 28.png. The MS decrease isn't noticeable to me, so I currently take Absolute%20Focus.png?width=32 as a personal preference.

"Glass Glass Cannon" Alternative Rune Page

Taking all this raw AP damage in the form of Absolute%20Focus.png?width=32 and Gathering%20Storm.png?width=32 will ensure that we will be able to kill around 90% of all champions. We lose out on CD and MS, but trade it for a possible overkill amount of AP. If you're not confident in your Evelynn play, stick with the Standard Page.

The loss of The%20Ultimate%20Hat.png?width=32 CD is partially made up for in our 3098.png buy, which is why I opt not to take it here.

Leveling evelynnr.png shortens its CD and improves our execute damage. Take R whenever possible.

Maxing evelynnq.png improves Q damage. We max Q 3 points in Q and then max it second because fully maxing evelynnq.png only boosts our sustained DPS by a bit, while also having no effect on our burst damage because we kill so quickly.

Maxing evelynnw.png improves W CC duration, cast range, shreds more magic resist, and increases damage dealt to jungle monsters.We max W "first" because it provides the biggest mid game spike to our damage.

Maxing evelynne.png increases E damage. We max E last because its level by level benefits are very lackluster. Leveling evelynne.png from 1 to 5 only increases its visible (no evelynnpassive.png active) damage by 60 and its invisible damage by 80.

    Talisman gives us sustain. Refil pot is more gold efficient that 3 health pots.
    Buy early and buy often.

Core Items

    Order of importance of items. Dark Seal is optional, but highly recommended.
    1st COMPLETED ITEM.
    2nd COMPLETED ITEM. Choose to build Revolver after if you want to.
    3rd COMPLETED ITEM.
    4th COMPLETED ITEM.
    5th COMPLETED ITEM.

Situational Items

    Possible 3rd COMPLETED ITEM. Substitutes Lich Bane in a full penetration build.
    Usually our 6th COMPLETED ITEM. Since Evelynn invisibility is a defensive tool in and of itself, we can get away with buying Zhonya's later than most other champions.
    Possible 5th OR 6th COMPLETED ITEM. Can be a Rabadon's substitute against squishy teams with CC or a Zhonya's subsitute against CC initiation we want to avoid.
    POSSIBLE 6th COMPLETED ITEM. Really only a consideration VS low-damage comps. 99/100 times never a consideration.
    REPLACEMENT 3rd COMPLETED ITEM INSTEAD OF LICH BANE. We won't have as much raw AP, but is a good utility item for team if we are feeding or are not a major damage source.
    Buy before full build when big, game-deciding fights are coming up.
    POSSIBLE 5th COMPLETED ITEM. If you're tired of winning and the shop is fresh out of Rabadon's, a Luden's might spice things up. Or you could sell smite item for it.

Now that 3098.png is bad on 28.png1082.png is the only early-game snowballing item we can purchase. 1082.png is entirely optional, but I still suggest buying it because 28.png early needs the stats.179.png1402.png

Our first real damage spike comes from 1402.png. By the time we can afford it, we usually have enough levels for evelynnr.png. I highly recommend making aggressive plays immediately after completing 1402.png.

3020.png is the preferred boots buy when building pure damage. 

3117.png are an alternative option, but I strongly recommend selling them and purchasing 3020.png regardless after completing your 5th CORE item.

3100.png greatly increases the burst damage of our combo, while also slightly patching up our sustained damage through the weaving in our auto attacks if we choose to do so. 179.png

3135.png allows us to keep up with enemies who may start buying magic resists, usually in the forms of 3155.png3156.png3190.png3065.png, and 3194.png

Buying magic pen now is ideal because our next core item, 3089.png, is so expensive that IF we choose to build it first, by the time we have 3089.png but no 3135.png, we'll be lacking the pen to one-shot anyone with a completed MR item.

3089.png isn't the only option for 5th item; 28.png will be one-shotting almost everybody with 3100.png 3135.png already, so any AP item will do. I prefer 3089.png though, but if you want to buy a 3285.png instead, it shouldn't make too much of a difference.179.png

Because of 3098.png nerf, we can try to build 3145.png in its place early after boots. I personally feel that it's only worth to build when ahead, as we most likely won't have the gold generation to afford our actual core items.

3136.png is preferred over 3135.png against enemy comps that cannot effectively spec against our magic damage. Flat penetration is a stronger early game stat than percent penetration, so if we're really fed before 20 minutes, 3136.png might just tip the game completely in our favour.

3151.png is an item replacement for 3100.png in a full pen build. 3151.png + 3135.png + 3020.png won't hit as hard as 3100.png build, but it should be strong enough to still burst out squishies.

3285.png is the best replacement for 1402.png if you have the gold. MS, a similar damage passive, and even more AP is a little better for a lot of gold.

3116.png is the best AP defensive hybrid item for 28.png. AP and health are great late game stats. The slow passive is a little too late to make use of now, but welcome nonetheless. I would personally still buy 3157.png over 3116.png though.

3151.png is a decent SECONDARY magic pen item, coupled with 3135.png, but lacks in overall benefit for our 6th item slot. If we've purchased 3136.png earlier, 3151.png should be completed ASAP in a full pen build.

Defensive Item Options

3157.png rounds out our build with a little bit of defense. Because we have evelynnpassive.png invisibility, we can get away with building defensive items this late.

3102.png is a situational replacement to 3089.png OR 3157.png. We really only consider building it against strong enemy initiation or risky assassination targets like 60.png80.png45.png90.png, etc. 179.png

Elixirs

I cannot stress how important it is to buy elixirs before full build. Mid-late to late game, 28.png creates team-wide benefits for her team through assassinating a target and turning games into 4v5s. The longer the game goes on, the less 28.png can realistically do. Buy investing into 2139.pngs early, we want to accelerate the game to a point where it is no longer possible for the enemy team to outscale us, if this isn't already the case. 

Purchase after completing big items (4+), when a game-deciding fight is about to happen, or at full build.

There are two types of junglers: ones that are stronger than the enemy jungler at level 3 and ones that are weaker. Evelynn falls into the latter group in a majority of games.

If 28.png wins against the enemy jungler at level 3 and/or there are nearby gankable lanes:

 Path from buff -> camp -> buff. 28.png now has 5 options:
  1. Continue farming
  2. Kill Scuttle Crab
  3. Invade the enemy jungle with the intent of running into them
  4. Invade the enemy jungle with the intent of not running into them
  5. Gank a lane
Options 2, 3, 4, and 5 are our best options. Go with option 3 against Cinderhulk junglers and option 4 against Runic/Warrior junglers if you decide to invade. Go with option 5 if the most of the conditions: summoner spells, wave position, kill potential, and health are green-lit.

If 28.png loses against the enemy jungler at level 3 and/or there are no nearby gankable lanes:

How you choose to do this is up to you, but try to path with keeping the uptime of respawning camps to a minimum. 28.png will eventually outdamage the enemy jungler, we just need the experience and items.

Provide meaningful vision to unsafe and/or volatile lanes


Dive/gank-prone champions like 41.png 157.png 10.png lose most lane matchups. Ideally, we center our presence around this lane, be there to match ganks, and provide vision for them if we can't physically be there.

Snowball lanes like 420.png 55.png 92.png are decided by the smallest of advantages. If we don't win 2v2s with or against them early, we need to ward around them so the enemy jungler can't completely decide the lane in their favour. Post-6, 28.png can abuse evelynnpassive.png stealth to skew snowball lanes.

Here are some general things to keep in mind when jungling:

Kill camps in a systemic order and be there to kill them again when they respawn. Being competent at this is enough to get you to Diamond. 179.png

Recall only when necessary


Every time you recall, you waste around 20 seconds walking back to your jungle. If backing isn't a necessity, stay on the map for as long as possible. We can do a lot in 20 seconds.

Understand the value of a successful gank in each of your lanes and gank accordingly


Not all lanes are created equal. Prioritize lanes that benefit the most from advantages. For example, a 55.png snowball lane will do more with a lead than a 31.png tank lane

On the other side of the coin, deprioritize lanes that are difficult to gank. 40.png 223.png 429.png lanes, for example, will almost never net us a kill or free local objectives near them. Counterganking is the only option here.

When in doubt, farm


If your teammates are pinging you to come gank their lanes, ask yourself if you're in a position to do so. 

"Are ___ and I strong enough to kill ___?"
"Where is the enemy jungler? What are the chances of him counterganking?"
"Am I forcing a gank on ___ lane?"
"Is ___ lane even gankable? (in terms of position, summoner spells, champion matchups, etc)"

If you have multiple reservations about ganking a lane AT THAT MOMENT, don't force it, farm or find something else to do. BUT periodically check in to see if anything changes your mind; a lane can change a lot in a matter of seconds.

Level 6, 11, and 16 Power Spikes: Play Around Them

28.png gains a large advantage against enemies who are a level behind her at 6, 11, and 16. If a big objective is going to be up soon and a fight for it is imminent, farm like the wind for the next point in your evelynnr.png. If we pop out of evelynnpassive.png invisibility with a stronger evelynnr.png, we may be able to catch enemies off guard with just its increased damage.

The #1 28.png tip that makes her jungle clear a whole lot more sustainable. We can evelynnq.png raptors, run towards red buff or wolves, and continue to press evelynnq.png to heal back to full. This works because 1039.png gives us health back on each spell cast.

Stick Around Enemy Laners who Lack Summoner Spells

28.png is a very potent solo lane ganker.1402.png smite + evelynnw.png CC is lethal to almost every champion lacking 4.png28.png can abuse enemies' lack of mobility plus her stealth to continually oppress a lane. This holds true in the top lane especially, where we can take advantage of a toplaner without 4.png, kill them, wait for them to 12.png back, and then kill them again.

Don't Engage in 5v5 Teamfights

As much as you want to kill the seemingly isolated ADC, hold back on using evelynnw.png or evelynnr.png to start teamfights. Wait for some big ultimates and CC spells to come out and then make a safe entry into the fight, amidst all the chaos.

Gank lanes from behind

The natural reaction to seeing a evelynnw.png on your head is to walk backward, or towards your own turret. 28.png can take advantage of her evelynnpassive.png stealth, walk into lanes unseen, cast evelynnw.png behind an enemy, wait for them to run towards you, and one-shot them.

Mirror your starts against early game junglers

28.png is very abusable early game. If the enemy jungler decides to walk into your jungle to contest your camps, there's nothing we can do to stop them. I commonly do this against 60.png64.png141.png107.png121.png, and 59.png.

To avoid all of this, we can start on the opposite side of our jungle, getting a leash from top lane as opposed to bot lane, and mirror our path so that we never risk being invaded early.

Buy Elixirs after completing major Items

After we've purchased our 4th core item, we can look to purchase 2139.png. If we enter into a teamfight with a newly completed  3089.png and a 2139.png for example, enemies will not be prepared for how much more burst we can deal. Champions like 58.png and 122.png who we previously couldn't 0-100 with 3.5 items will shred like paper if we choose to buy into this artificial spike.
