Alternatively, you can switch biscuits for Assassin in your solo lane.

Feast could be switched to fresh blood if you prefer poking vs. sustain.

This is really controversial. Maxing W or Q first has its benefits. Q has a relatively low mana cost and does decent amount of damage. It also applies the sheen proc as well and is great for helping you CS. W does more damage from the AP items however, but it's sheen proc will not be proc'd and will have to be done so with your auto attack. W has a high mana cost as you level it up as well, but allows you to poke through minions without pushing the wave from a missed skill shot, something Q can't do.

As for your second ability, E max can be beneficial as it lowers the cool-down of your get-a-way ability. It also scales with the AP you'll be building so allows more damage for your all-in. It also stays a constant 90 mana throughout. If you chose W max first, you could level Q second for more constant damage output and long-range poke. If you maxed out Q first, W should be your second skill to max as you need the damage coming out.

Always max ult when given the opportunity to.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Standard start. Mana regen good for poking.
Another ok start. Allows you to sustain with the lifesteal from the Doran's Blade but lacks an extra potion. It helps to CS if you aren't confident to do so with the less AD start from Doran's Ring, however, your Q can make up for that

Core Items

90% of the time you come back and you have enough gold, this should be bought. Gives mana, cdr, and best of all, extra damage dealt with your Q and autos after a skillcast
Another potential first back item. Be warned that getting a tear first could decrease your damage output early and delay the rest of your core items. However, if you think the sheen item's mana isn't enough for you or you enjoy poking and skirmishes with your laner.
One of the sheen items is a definite must. However, after your sheen, you have two choices. You can either rush and finish your sheen item, or go for the Hextech revolver and then finish your sheen item. Either path works. Finishing your sheen item makes your Q stronger and your full combo will do a lot of damage. Hextech revolver also allows for good poke with your Q or auto attack as it procs the UNIQUE PASSIVE: Magic Bolt. Getting reolver could let you get the GUNBLADE much quicker giving you heals on the damage you dish out as well as extra damage on its active that does 250 magic + 30% of your AP.
An alternative to lichbane. It decreases your damage output, but does offer survivability. A slow on your Q helps with kiting away from enemies as well as chasing slippery targets. It gives a lot more mana and adds survivability against AD champs. Not really recommended but it has its perks
    Its just good, idk lol
Don't really finish your tear item until the other core items are finished or until tear is maxed out.
CDR boots if you need more cooldowns on skills such as your E of if you lack cooldowns. SORC SHOES if you want to go through the early magic resist that they are building or simply want more damage. Merc treds to increase your survivability against CC team comps.

    VS FULL AD

Situational Items

Slows on your W and E. and added tankiness
Provides both AP and AD which synergizes with your Q and Ult. However, there might be better items to get such as Magic Pen if they are stacking Magic Resist.
Tons of damage. Get if you are dominating.
Vs Zed, AD champs, or to survive all ins.
MAGIC PEN ITEM if they are stacking MR
SOLID ITEMS as well. 400 mana and 100 AP is great as well as grievous wounds. 20% CDR is great and mana restoration is great as well.
