  • Natural Talent 5/5 - Ezreal Benifits from both AD and AP
  • Double Edged Sword 1/1 - Take more damage and deal more damage, don't over think the extra damage you take, if you get CC'd on Ezreal you are probably dead anyways, but not having this Extra damage and losing out on a kill because of it would be a lot bigger loss than being able to get away from a fight alive.


  • Savagery 5/5 - Clear camps quicker, Ezreal's Auto attacks and Q ezrealmysticshot.png count as single target
  • Runic Affinity 1/1 - Keeping buffs longer Ezreal is a real terror with double buffs and keeping them on him for longer duration lets him have more time to over power enemies with them
  • Merciless 5/5 - Higher damage against low targets, lets you secure those cross maps ezrealtrueshotbarrage.png ULT kills, also just another source of free extra damage.
  • Greenfather's Gift 1/1 - More damage to camps and on intial auto attacks out of bushes during ganks, very easy to proc and simply gives you more damage.
  • Preceision 5/5 - Armor and Magic Pen, Ezreal deals AD and AP damage so he gets double the value.
  • Storm Raider's Surge 1/1 - Early and Mid game it is extremely easy to proc Storm Raiders and chase down targets, without it you kind of show up in lane and burst someone, but with it you can chase them down and kill them after bursting them.

  • Fires a bolt in a line damaging first enemy hit, counters as a basic attack and has +125% AD Ratio, and low cooldown.
  • Cost very little mana and should be spammed to clear camps quickly and build up Ezreal's Passive ezrealpassive.png
  • Very long range can be abused to poke / kite during fights

  • Damages enemy champions and gives allies attack speed

1041.png Is everything Ezreal Jungle wants in a starting item, you easily make use of the passive on hit damage, that only gets better and better the more you stack up ezrealpassive.png Ezreal's Passive.
1039.png isn't required first clear since you don't use that much mana, don't clear as quickly.

2031.png Since Ezreal doesn't take much damage while clearing it's not required to start 3 health pots, and refillable keeps giving you value throughout the entire game until you sell it.

1412.png Red smite makes gives you reduces damage to you, and deals True damage to a target, Ezreal's Q ezrealmysticshot.png has a 120% AD ratio so getting lots of Flat AD like Warrior gives you puts a lot of Power into Q ezrealmysticshot.png, and CDR is basically more damage and Attack speed for Ezreal 


Ezreal has options to get all boots, but these 3 are the best on him, ideal you can get Berserk Greaves3006.png most games since it's such an early spike in Attack Speed and movement speed that goes so well with the completion of Warrior 1412.png

3078.png Trinity Force's best quality is it's components 3044.png3057.png3101.png that all give unquie bonuses to any champions kit, but the best things it gives Ezreal's kit is movement speed for hiting a champion, Sheen Proc, and CDR and attack speed.
3147.png  The Build path into dusk blade is after warrior and trinity force, and is to further push the lead / tempo of a game, also gives you lots of AD, CDR, and Passive to see wards.
3153.png BORK, Tank Shreding item not a lot of AD or Attack speed, but the utiltiy of it works well for Ezreal.
3033.png Mortal Reminder - Usually a 3rd or 4th core item, you want to get this at different stages of the game depending on the enemy team comp, if they have tanks then ya it's pretty simple that you would want last whisper to be able to damage them, the healing reduction will also help you against most carries & tanks.

Against a Cho'gath jungle he will most likely always full clear, so you don't have to worry as much about counter ganks early, but you should try to time your route to be in the river he would end up in after a full clear, to punish him if he trys to take a scuttle crab, he has no gap closer so if you have red buff he should be dead.




Elise can match Ezreal’s early game tempo

Don’t be caught walking in unwarded areas Elise will be looking to catch you off guard
Lots of outplay potential from both champions but if Elise lands ezrealarcaneshift.pngelisehumane.png its over




Graves is short ranged like Ezreal, but Ezreal out ranges Graves with ezrealmysticshot.png so use this to your advantage and shoot at him while he is approaching you. If you try to try auto for auto up close you will most likely lose.


Jarvan IV


Jarvin either becomes a super tank, or a 1 shoter be mindful of his build

Save your E ezrealarcaneshift.png for his ULT jarvanivcataclysm.png if you have to dodge his EQ jarvanivdemacianstandard.pngjarvanivdragonstrike.png then you will have to blow flash to get out of his ULT jarvanivcataclysm.png




Kha'zix is weak on his first clear, if you catch him at his 2nd buff you likely get a kill or a summoner spell from him

Later into the game khazixr.png makes it so you can't auto attack him while stealth so don't click into him as he stealth.




You out range her with ezrealmysticshot.png and can time ULT ezrealtrueshotbarrage.png to burst her at the end of her ULT kindredr.png


Lee Sin


Lee sin has a good counter gank top or bot after 3 camps. Also after level 6 can single you out in fights but you can change the direction of his kick blindmonkrkick.png with ezrealarcaneshift.png




Expect Rek'sai to flash onto you while burrowed, once shes on you it's hard to get away before being bursted down, try to invade her 2nd buff and kill her.




Catch her trying to take dragon around 6-12 minutes, keep a control ward on it and be ready to catch her out.  and ping your team a ton to come, if shyv gets to far ahead of you don't get caught out and keep farming.


Xin Zhao


Save your E ezrealarcaneshift.png until Xin uses his xinzhaoe.png onto you 

Unless you are close range you can't damage Xin while he is ULTed xinzhaor.png so don't waste abilities on him

You slightly out pace his first clear and can beat him to the first gank, so you can either counter gank or try for the first gank.

Early Game Back to Top

On Blue or Red side, Ezreal has a very strong Level 2 gank by starting Red buff > and going to Mid Lane. Ezreal also has one of the fastest 3 camps Buff > Wolves > Buff in the game, so he can show up Top, Mid, or Bot, much faster than normal jungler. 

This Huge strength is what makes Ezreal jungle so strong, if you don’t capitalize on this than a huge majority of your early game is lost. Unlike other jungler when Ezreal falls behind he doesn’t have CC or supportive abilities to make him relevant regardless of his items. So it is crucial to have a steady flow of gold. 

After attempting a first gank or invade, if you have enough health try to take as many camps as you can without dying then recall. 

Ideally you can back and get say 3715.png1036.png small amount of AD goes a long way if Aquired on a first recall. After first recall still be looking for ganks but since you have a completed smite you get more XP from farm camps so doing Golems, and Raptors is also easier and worth more than when you only have 1 jungle item 1041.png1039.png 

Also try to expect the path of the enemy jungler as well and make a plan around it.

Mid Game Back to Top

Ideally you have a lead built up from the early game that you are looking to push during the Mid Game, how you approach pushing that lead will change every single game, so look to attack champions you have already made weak and put them in the ground even more, you don’t have to successfully shutdown all 5 enemy champions, if you take 1 completely out of the game it’s better than having 5 down say 50-100 gold because of a gank vs a top lane than can’t farm under his 2nd tower because of multiple ganks and wards.

Ezreal also has the ability to snipe champions that are low across the map, don’t expect your team to tell you when champion are low, it’s your job as a jungler to always be watching your lanes, and when you see low champions go back to their tower it’s up you to take a shot at them, you can also try to combo your ULT by hitting a camp you are farming as well, you can also hit champions siege towers most likely bot lane, and also thin out big minions waves on the tower as well. Don’t use Ezreal’s ULT as a starting ability when ganking a lane as well, it’s better to snipe the running away than leading with it, if an enemy sees that ULT coming from a bush they won’t walk into you they will be running away.

Same thing as early game Ezreal is all about Ganks > Towers > ULTs, Farming jungle camps. Getting a gold flow to build into Trinity is a huge spike for Ezreal.

Stay mindful of the enemies strong champions, you don’t have to go out of your way to take down the strongest if you can continue to feed on the weak ones.
And don’t worry about spending to long in a bush for a counter gank it can make all the difference. 

Late Game Back to Top

Late game say +27 Minutes Ezreal jungle has a lead and is looking to close out a game, or is behind and looking to stall it out.

In the case that you are ahead, Ezreal strong in extended 5v5 sieges since you can poke enemy champions with Q ezrealmysticshot.png and ULT ezrealtrueshotbarrage.png when waves crash in, and get a few autos on the tower, but it’s usually better to do this over multiple waves hitting the tower to build up poke damage, but if the enemy isn’t contesting a siege is important to take the tower and inhibitor as fast as possible and move onto the next objective quickly.

In the case that you are behind it’s hard to make a judgement call on when to split from your team and make a move in a side lane or on the map and when to stay with them. You benefits for staying with your team is:
  • Poke damage
  • ULT ezrealtrueshotbarrage.png waveclear 
  • DPS during a 5v5 

Benefits of splitting are hard to value, you can get value from being in the fog of war and shooting Qs ezrealmysticshot.png towards the lane the enemy is siegeing from, so they have to react to your position behind them, and if they push past you, you can clear out the next wave coming behind them to delay a siege, while doing this type of play you have to avoid the champions coming to stop you, and ping your team to advance in different parts of the map, if they come to help you most the time it will be them walking to your grave and the enemy killing them next rather than pushing out waves and successfully delaying the match.

Jungle Pathing Back to Top

Ezreal’s pathing early like I covered your 2 most classic plays are :

Red side :

Red Buff > Mid 

Blue > Wolves > Red > Top / enemy Blue buff

Ezreal’s clear speed beats out most jungler so you can get to the first gank / invade a lot quicker.

After first gank you can look to clear as many camps as possible before recalling or just recall and get 3715.png which will give you more XP when clearing camps, making Raptors and Golems more worth your time. 

Throughout the game you NEED to be watching your lanes with the F keys (F1,F2,F3, etc) to quickly glance at a lane and view champions health mana, and minion wave location. Knowing where to be when has a lot of factors, but the easiest way of looking at ganks is comparing taking your next camps if it would give you a level or not, if it does take it then gank, if it doesn’t than just gank and comeback to it. Also by watching lanes you can see opportunities to ULT ezrealtrueshotbarrage.png 

Around 3rd or 4th back you can clear all camps on your side relatively quickly and without using much mana, in which case you can also look to take the enemies Blue side, since you clear gromp and wolves the quirkiest. You also have bigger walls to escape around / run th enemeies around if caught.

If you keep track the enemy blue buff timer than you can take it with ezrealtrueshotbarrage.png it will probably take a lot of tries to get it right, but if you really want to practice this play than just ward the enemy blue buff before hand, makes the shot at least 99% easier to hit with vision, but hitting it without vision makes the play 100% more stylish.

Ezreal needs to stack up his Passive before going full into a fight, without it his DPS is cut but a lot, also you have no CC for the enemies which is a very different play style compared to other jungler. Be patient and wait for your allies with CC to start fights unless you have a huge lead and can ezrealarcaneshift.png someone and burst them. 

Ezreal has lots of potential to capitalize on short bursty aggressive plays, then transitioning or setting his team up to transition the play into something else. Think of the play style like a Pro Nidalee player during the Mid and late game, dipping in and out of the fog of war and being a pest, the better you get at this the better Ezreal can work for you.

Understand that Ezreal's role in fights is to damage, and be setup for damage, if you play as if you are the support and the damage you will get much less value out of Ezreal's kit.
