Summoner Spells Back to Top

New Runes Back to Top

This rune page will let you poke in lane to get more gold and sustain. Demolish is for later on when you can become a split push threat from the support role which is very hard to deal with for a lot of teams if you can make it to that point.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

You want to take Coin because your cool downs are actually very long so you will be spending a lot of time waiting for the right time to engage.
If you fall behind start building IBG
Pick up a few of these early if you run into some trouble laning early.
You can try this as well. I personally like coin but if you are more comfortable using this I would go for it.
These are the 3 major choices for first item. Phage is the safe. Get it if the lane is even. Tiamat is the fed option. Get it if you get early kills. Sheen/Glacial Shroud should be bought if you fall behind early.
One of these should be your first completed Item. If you get a Tiamat First then go right into phage for the black cleaver after.

Core Items

This is a pretty solid build that will let you live a long time in team fights while still doing decent damage.
This is also a pretty solid final build.

Situational Items

ZZ'rot is actually a great item. It lets you put down lane pressure and it slows down enemy split pushing. If you get it get it 4th or 5th.
Might be good items to try for tank items as well.

The build order should look like this throughout the game.

3301.png2009.pngx3 --->3096.png---> 3025.png or 3077.png+3044.png or 3071.png---> 2049.png --->  3009.png or 3117.png----> 3065.pngor 3068.png or3742.png --->3512.pngor3074.pngor 3072.png

For most games you will want to upgrade coin to the 2nd tier item. If you get gold early or have enough for phage/tiamat get either of those instead. You don't HAVE to get a sight stone but your team will be at a disadvantage if you are not putting down wards. Depending who is fed or how much AP or AD they have get spirit visage or sunfire. Deadmans or randuins can also be good in some situations.

Old: Fiora support doesn't really work as well anymore so feel free to try out other items. Specifically the tank items could be changed around. I think you still want to start coin into phage most games.

As of patch 7.22: Fiora support is actually a lot better again. The increase of the base damage on her passive from 2% to 2.5% helped Fiora support out a little. Also Kleptomancy allows you to poke and trade slightly more than before while getting more gold and being able to sustain back easier.

VS

Alistar

Medium

Alistar isn't that hard of a lane match up. He has a lot of CC you can reflect back at his ADC and most Alistar players aren't expecting Fiora bot lane so you can use that to your advantage to secure an easy kill by riposting some CC.

VS

Blitzcrank

Easy

This match up is super easy for you. You can reflect his grab ether at him or his ADC. You can dash into the grab to save your ADC from being grabbed and then reflect his knock up auto back at him. You should be able to win the 2v2 against him all game. Specially after level 6.

VS

Brand

Medium

If you can riposte his stun reliably this match up is incredibly easy. Most brand supports are not smart enough to bait out the riposte before they throw their stun. You can use it to stun them in return or even their ADC. Normally I find its better to just stun and kill the brand.

VS

Braum

Medium

Braum is a pretty even lane match up. He is a strong pick and good at 2v2 but you can turn his CC against his ADC and fight 2v2 against him fairly well. Wait for him to waste a spell or 2 and then go in on his ADC if you can.

VS

Caitlyn

Hard

Caitlyn can be a pretty rough lane for Fiora support. I would just avoid this lane. Her range is just so long and she can spam traps that if you get caught in will lose you the lane because you wont have any way to engage on her or sustain back up.

VS

Ezreal

Medium

This match up really isn't that hard but ezreals poke is obnoxious. And he can kite away back to his tower if you ult him. You should be able to fight him and his support at most stages of the game but if you get poked down it can be hard to stay in lane against him.

VS

Karma

Hard

Karma is a really rough lane. I would avoid this if possible. Poke champs are really hard for support Fiora as you don't really do that much in the first 1-2 levels. You just have to hope your ADC doesn't get poked down and some ganks work out in your favor. I would not recommend this match up.

VS

Leona

Medium

Leona is a pretty easy match up. I have not played against her though since the new rune system was released so she might be more difficult now. She has a lot of CC that is easy to riposte back onto her ADC which is very helpful. She is also easy to poke and get free damage and gold from.

VS

Nami

Medium

Nami isn't that hard of a match up. You can riposte her bubble back at her and her ADC. Her heal is a little annoying. But just riposte the bubble and you can fight her and her ADC 2v2

VS

Sona

Hard

You should try and avoid this match up on Fiora support. Champions with sustain or poke are rough match ups.

VS

Soraka

Hard

This lane match up has the same issues as sona. Soraka just has so much sustain and nothing you can use to riposte onto the enemy ADC to turn the fight in your favor.

VS

Thresh

Medium

Thresh is almost the same as blitz crank. He has a lot of CC you can reflect back onto the enemy ADC which can turn fights completly around. Its a little more even though beacuse thresh can put out a little more constant damage and he can fight a little ore often than your riposte CD will be back up for.

VS

Vayne

Medium

This match up is fairly even. You should have the advantage before vayne finishes a botrk or which ever item she builds. Since support Fiora is a lot more tanky you can't really 1v1 vayne very easily. It is doable but her true damage is brutal on your full tank/HP build. You should win in most 2v2 situations against her but 1v1 specially after 1-2 items I would avoid fighting her as support FIora if possible.

Notes Back to Top

Your main goal as Fiora support is to fight at level 2 and snow ball a lead so you can build some quick items. If you cant safely do that though don't worry to much about stale mating the game until level 6. After all Fioras late game isn't exactly weak. After the lane phase try roaming around with your team and showing up at fights with your 3117.png A roaming FIora support is something that the enemy have never seen, or heard of before so you should use that as an advantage.

If you can play Fiora well top lane you shouldn't have much difficulty transitioning to playing her support. I would pick her if possible into mostly AD comps. Also picking her as 1st or second pick is nice because the enemy counter picks you in top lane not expecting a Fiora support. That is probably one of the strongest aspects of this pick.

I have won a few ranked games with Fiora support but I would not recommend taking it into ranked unless you have gotten a few practice games with the pick and get comfortable what your role in the game is.

I might expand or work on this guide in the future. I just made it for fun right now because Fiora top lane is fairly weak and I was looking back at Fiora support as an alternative way to play her without getting crushed in the early game.
