Summoner Spells Back to Top

I think there's not really much to say here. You are Jungle, so you must take 11.png. I haven't seen it or tried it, but taking either 3.png,14.png, or12.png instead of 4.png might be viable. You can use your gragase.png[E] to get through most walls, but you run the risk of relying on it being up and early on it has a decently long CD time. I always go 4.png11.png.

Masteries Back to Top

There is nothing really special to my Rune Page as you can see. There is definitely other options you can take though. Here is my thoughts though.

Sorcery: you are playing an AP champ...

Expose Weakness/Fresh Blood: I take Expose Weakness to pretty much boost team Fights and Ganks. If you are just playing Solo and don't look to gank much or group fight much, then by all means go Fresh Blood. It gives you more DMG, but that's all. I rarely actually finding myself Auto Attacking anyways, so I find a lot more use in Expose Weakness.

Natural Talent/Vampirism: Always Take Natural Talent. Simple as that. I know some people who take 1/4 just for the chance of maybe getting some cheese, but I wouldn't advise it.

Bounty Hunter/Double Edged Sword/Battle Trance: Bounty Hunter just is less efficient. If you look to push late and feel you can kill pretty much all 5 of them, then by all means use it. Double Edged just gives you a boost from the start and unless you are playing a squishy, which Gragas isn't that squishy, I would always take Double Edged.Battle Trance is Viable. You really won't just 100-0 a champ in like 1 second, so taking that isn't out of the picture. It all comes down to your preference.

Recovery/Unyielding: Recovery just helps with early clear and staying up in HP. Again just a preference choice.

Explorer/Tough Skin: Gragas already has High mobility with his gragase.png[E], which allows him to jump through like 75% of the walls on the Rift so taking Explorer would just be a waste. Tough Skin stacked with Recovery is just like the best for clearing early. You take less dmg and have a little extra HP Regen too.

Runic Armor: Your gragasw.png[W] is a self healing, so you obviously want to stack it with Runic Armor to make you heal even more.

Insight/Fearless: For the most part Insight will always be better. Your Spells will come up quicker which allows you to make more plays.

Swiftness/Legendary Guardian: I personally almost never take Legendary Guardian on any champ. I just like the reduced Slow and Tenacity too much.

Grasp of the Undying/ Courage of the Colossus: To be honest I have never tried Grasp of the Undying, but if I had to just think about it I would say that it is probably viable. With that being said, I still always go Col. It just gives you an insane shield for the most part and it can very well save your life.

VS

Elise

Easy

You should just always win this. If you dodge her cocoon, then she is a pretty free kill.

VS

Evelynn

Easy

You should just destroy her. She has a terrible clear early. Look to invade and get the cheese. Stay aware of the roams though.

VS

Hecarim

Medium

Another pre 6 you should win. If he gets ahead by a good amount, then it will be rough for everyone though. So make sure you play this one smart.

VS

Lee Sin

Hard

Lee has one of the best clears in the game. The best way to play this is to get ahead and never look back. You can 1v1 him pre 6 pretty easily if you play it clean

VS

Olaf

Medium

You pretty much just have a better kit pre 6. Look to take advantage of that early.

VS

Rek'Sai

Hard

I actually found this matchup to be surprisingly difficult early on. I'm not sure why but pre 6 or before you get items it seems a lot harder to 1v1. If you play it clean you should win. Late game you will win.

VS

Zac

Medium

Pre 6 you should win. Just play it clean and eZ kill. Look to just hard farm early and gank as you do a full rotate. You will 100% get out ganked by Zac early on seeing as he is one of the best early gankers. Once Zac gets 6 be aware of rather or not he has ult. If he does then proceed with caution.
