4.png Being a must in all competitive environment, Flash allows you to escape some drastic situations in a fraction of second. 

7.pngBeing an ADC doesn't give you a lot of options for tankiness, so having Heal is a reliable source of sustain in a dangerous situation. 


14.pngSometime you just have to get agressive since the beggining. Ignite let's you get a slight damage advantage when facing a foe.

(Passive)

Graves's shotgun is like a real one: two shots and recharge. Every shot fires bullets that deal a part of Graves damage. If all hit an enemy, the damage will be inmense. Critical hits shot more bullets, dealing more damage if all hit.

(Q)

gravesclustershot.png Shots a "T", that go forward and comes back, dealing a lot of damage. Casting gravesclustershot.png and before it comes back casting graveschargeshot.png usually kills and ADC without anybasic attack.

Smoke Screen

(W)

gravessmokegrenade.png Reduces the sight and Movement Speed of enemies inside it, giving you a time to reposition yourself in a fight.

Quickdraw

(E)

A dash is always useful in an ADC because it gives you a chance to reposition yourself in a fight or escape one. Graves's gravesmove.png also gives extra Armor and MR, that can stack up to 4 times, giving him an advantage in early trades.

Collateral Damage

(R)

graveschargeshot.png Deals a lot of damage and throws Graves back a bit. This helps you to deal a lot of damage and probably reposition yourself in a fight to continue the damage.

Starting Items

    Not other viable option really. Cull let's you scale mid-game, but Graves can do it early-game with Doran's Blade.

Core Items

    Graves Critical auto-attacks shot more bullets, therefore dealing for damage. Also it helps with the inmense amount of Mana used in his abilities.
    This is new. I've tried it and it works like a Charm. It gives you early tankyness and destroys tanky supports (Naut, Thresh, Trundle).
    The only Attack Speed item needed. Best boots for almost any ADC
    Infinity Edge helps with the Crits and Deaths Dance heals A LOT. Like really A LOT.
    Usually the elixir is bought after finishing build, but sometimes you can us it before if you need that little extra damage to wreck the enemy team

    Your Choice now. Depends on their team and who is doing the most damage.

The Best thing someone can do is to get you closer to them.

Hard

Cailtyn's range and damage destroys Graves, specially early game. If you want to win, you will have to have a gap closer Support (Blitz, Thresh's Lamp, Naut)

Ezreal

Medium

Ez is one of the best ADC right now and is pretty difficult to hit anything with his mobility. The Black Cleaver should help you with his Gauntlet but it will cost you.

Kog'Maw

Easy

Kog doesn't have a lot of mobility, leaving him usually in a perfect spot to use your gravesmove.png and wreck him

VS

Vayne

Medium

Playing against Vayne with Graves is almost a Support Game. You can poke a lot with your Q, but the real fight will start when the supports decide so.
