The best keystone for Jarvan. It gives you more early presence and overall it's the best fit for jarvan. Also, you will easily proc it with your combo.

Zombie%20Ward.png?width=32 Probably the best single rune in the game. Provides infinite value through vision.

You usually want to take jarvanivdemacianstandard.png because of the bonus passive attack speed. The only time i can see taking jarvanivdragonstrike.png as a valuable option is if you are invading and you need the Q damage to deal the killing blow.

I would rush it as second item when going for a damage oriented build. It makes you extremely scary to duel and every successful gank will result in a kill due to your high damage spike.

Pretty easy matchup, he mostlikely won't invade you. You can invade him. Be carefull after level 6 because his ult is pretty strong.

Elise has a super healty clear and she has a good early game, just be sure you won't get invaded. Elise scaling trought the game is worse than yours tho.

If eve is competent she can use the passive of 1039.png to stay healty in the jungle. If you are low elo this probably isn't the case and you might be able to invade and kill her.

Fiddlestick can be quite annoying due to his cc. Mind that if you combo jarvanivdemacianstandard.pngjarvanivdragonstrike.png before his drain.png you won't have any way to stop him from draining.

Ivern is a pain due to his invade potential, ask your mates to ward the other buff.

Kayn has not so great early game, he will outscale you tho. So try to take advantages early on.

Lee has always been the king of the jungle early game. He's not quite that strong now with the removal of tracker knife he's not in a great spot. Just try to control him early on. If he dosn't snowball he's one of the most useless champions.

A good nida is painfull to play against. If you are low elo you should not worry tomuch about her. If she's not good you might actually invade her. If you are playing vs a competent nida tho, be really carefull even walking in your jungle.

Rammus is another painfull champion later on. He has a weak early game tho, you might wanna try to invade him.

Again another matchup where it totally depends on you Elo. A good shaco is a living pain, a bad one is just another freewin.

Shyvana is a powerhouse right now, but a lot of people do not realize that her first clear is not that healty. You might wanna try to invade her on the first clear.

Udyr is just too strong for you to duel, you have better ganks tho, especially after level 6. Try to help your laner with warding around jungle entrances

Her first clear is decent but not that healty. Be really carefull about his viq.png. It deals a ton of damage when fully charged.

Jarvan's role

Jarvan is a bruiser/offtank. Hypotetically most of the time you act almost as an assassin for the first 10 15 mins (when going 1412.png > 3147.png). 
You can also be the primary tank or generally have a more beefy role with the tank oriented build ( 1413.png )

Jarvan's early game


Jarvan has a good early game. Plan your ganks and try to execute them well. Taking kills early is (in my opinion) not a big of a deal since it speeds up your 2 core items spike). You might also invade some lesser strong junglers.

Jarvan's mid game


This totally depends on how your early game went. Jarvan is soo strong with his 1412.png > 3147.png spike and at this stage of the game you shoul still almost oneshot most of your targets. Looks for picks and just keep control of the game. If snowballing start to ward deep in the enemy jungle. Start to try giving up kills to your carries since your lategame isn't really the best

Jarvan's late game


Jarvan falls off quite a lot lategame. Just keep staying with your team and try to make the most out of your kit (either peel for you adc or try to be as annoying as possible for their adc)

  • 1. Start at the buff of your botlane side to get a good leash (ask for a good leash)
  • 2. Proceed to wolves (this camp is the best in term of damage/exp value)
  • 3. Decide what to do (gank top if possible, gank mid if possible, invade if versus a slow/ weaker jungler) if noone applies just keep jungling

There are a lot of infos that you should process and consider in your mind when junling and even before starting the game, I'll try to break down most of them, and I want you to start to think about those every single game.

It is better to lose a game where you had a WRONG gameplan than win a game where you played randomly. Eventually you will get better at realizing and figuring out things, and getting a good habit of following plans is so beneficial in the long run to climb.

  • Realize what role are you going to fulfill, either main tank or damage oriented
  • Realize your win conditions and start to think on which champ you want to enable (hyper carry? Snowball toplane matchup?)

  • Think about your lanes matchup, who will be pushed early on? Can i get invaded? Do i have mid/top/bot priority? I'll give you an example
Your enemy jungler is : 33.png

Your Midlane is : 55.png vs 163.png

Your Toplane is : 75.png vs 92.png

So now think about it. 33.png has a slow and not that healty first clear. YOU CAN INVIDE HIM RIGHT? Yes you could. BUT think about your lanes. Usually you expect 163.png to outpush 55.png and also 92.png to outpush 75.png the first levels.  

That means that 33.png will have lane mid and toplane priority over your lanes. That means that in a decent game, mid and topwill collapse to you to help rammus, you could most likely die to it and give up a first/blood jungle control.

So before invading check lanes, see how they are doing, where minions are, ping your intentions (even better write it down your gameplan). And then make your move.

Usually junglers will randomly flame laners for not following, but since you are BETTER than the 'standard soloq noob jungler' you will have a plan and you will understand what's going to likely happen in a game before taking bad decisions.

  • Decide a gameplan. Decide your pathing and decide what you want to prioritize. I'll give you an example:
Your Toplane is : 75.png vs 54.png

Your Botlane matchup is 236.png & 12.png vs 222.png & 16.png

So in this game you have a farming fest toplane with 2 tanks without dashes or hard cc's. While you have an early/midgame adc 236.png and a good engager 12.png vs a no escape/dashes botlane. 

In this scenario you ideally want to start on your toplaner part of the jungle to gank bot at level 3. 

Also ask your botlane to come lane a bit late to fake a jungler leash.

Early game clearing

  • Watch the minimap and realize where the enemy jungler started based off the 
  • Check lanes, move your camera a lot while clearing camps. Use your F1/F2/F3 etc keys. Things you are looking for :
  1. State of the lanes: Minions/Pushing lanes/Freezing lanes
  2. Laners habits: Is an enemy laner taking bad trades positiong bad? Is an enemy getting exposed/positioning bad
  3. Mana/Hp of champions
  4. Try to find the weak link of the enemy team.
  • Think also about what the other jungler is going to do, his jungle path and the hypotetical mana/hp he should be at a certain time

Other toughts trought the game

  • What's your role in teamfight
  • Focus on objective. Example:
 You just killed 4 champs on the enemy team. Do NOT chase the fifth unless you can instakill him in a matter of 1/2 seconds. Instead spam ping baron/towers/drakes. Whatever is available
  • Warding and clearing wards
  • Mute people if they are being anoying/flaming you. Do not let them get into your head. Stick to your gameplan.

  • You can jarvanivdemacianstandard.png>jarvanivdragonstrike.png to over walls
  • Your jarvanivdemacianstandard.png grants vision, use it instead of facechecking
  • Your jarvanivdemacianstandard.png gives attack speed to your allies, so be sure to put it down when attacking a tower (better to throw behind you so you will have an escape path ready)
  • jarvanivcataclysm.png Is a usefull tool vs certain champions (example 75.png without 4.png can't escape it) while you can jarvanivdemacianstandard.png jarvanivdragonstrike.png out of it
  • You can flash after your jarvanivdemacianstandard.png>jarvanivdragonstrike.png combo. That will extend the range of your knock up. Your knockup will not deal damage tho
  • jarvanivgoldenaegis.png Is not only a shield but it also slows nearby enemies. Use it wisely while ganking

I started to play lol early in the days (half of the season 1), finished bronze (s1) gold (s2) diamond (every other season) i didn't really try to get higher since i think it would require me too much time.


I like to create guides and contents so expect some other guides coming soon, i don't have any stream or social media.
