Flash - Of course.


Ghost - Allows you to kite, dodge, reposition, escape or run down an enemy champion.

Barrier - Provides a shield on a low cool down if you afraid of being dove by a jungle and the enemy mid laner (exhaust would only stop the damage from one of them).

Cleanse - If the enemy team is running a CC (Crowd Control e.g. Stun, Root, Snare and Knock up) orientated team and you don't want to chain CC'd. It also cleanses summoner spells allowing you to completely waist the opposing team's exhaust or ignite if they happen to target you.

Exhaust - If you want to duel a target and mitigate their damage as well as hindering their ability to kite/dodge effectively and making them an easier target to kill.

This page gives Jayce both sustain and damage, the mana regeneration is great for stacking up your tear of the goddess swell as giving you mana during the early stages of the game. Feast give Jaycee the ability to cope slightly better in lanes where he might get poke down by champions such as 134.png61.png and 103.png  just to name a few.

R

Q - Take 'Q' first a level 1 so you can maximise early damage. Max this ability because it outputs the most damage and you overkill kit revolves around it.


W - Take this second so you can farm easier and achieve your level 3 power spike. Max this ability second, even though Jayce's 'E' is crucial to your kit (in ranged form) maxing it does not increase damage output or lower cool down. Maxing   
'W' allows you take AA (Auto Attack) trades very well in lane.

E - Take 'E' at level 3 and use it to fire you ranged 'Q's through to increase range and damage.

Starting Items

    Take these to items for mana sustain and health sustain through out lane but also to get a gradual gold advantage when you back.

Core Items

    Once you reach full build you will have maximum cool down reduction as well as enough mana so you can siege down enemy towers for long periods as well and armour penetration to deal almost true damage to squishes and shred through tanks.
    Optional build.

Situational Items

    Against a tanky team composition.
    Great amounts of life steal to not just give you mana sustain but great health sustain. Swap it out for Duskblade of Drakthar.
    Against heavy AD (Does educe cool down reduction).
    Against heavy AP (does reduce cool down reduction).

I know it may seem stupid to start ancient coin on Jayce but trust me, the sustain you get through lane with this build is amazing. 


For build order go Ancient Coin and Refillable Potion -> Tear of the Goddess -> Boots of your choice (one of the three listed above) -> Black Cleaver -> Manamamune (Which when fully stacked upgrades into Manamura) -> Yoummus Ghost Blade -> Duskblade or Bloodthirster -> Mortal Reminder or Lord Domniks Regards

Just poke him down and dissenters using your hammer for 'E' to get away when he uses his 'Q' to engage you.

Hard

She can use her 'R' to kite around you so just poke her down and engage if she is out of position or if your jungle provides a sufficient gank.

Easy

Her lack of movement make it easy for you land your 'Q' and 'E' combo. She is also very Squishy and requires time to power up allowing you to abuse your base damage against her.

Cassiopeia

Medium

Make sure to dodge her 'Q' and 'R', if you are hit by either of these spells chances are you will either loose the trade or fight.

Poke him down and make sure to take 21.png so negate some of his burst when he uses his ultimate.

Kassadin

Hard

Kassadin prior to hitting level 6 will be easy but he will be hard after hitting level 6 because he will be able to roam better than you and his burst is incredibly damaging to you and very easy for the Kassadin player to pull off.

Orianna

Hard

She can poke you down and if you get onto her she can shield herself and use her 'R' to either kill you or save herself. Her amazing wave clear will keeps you occupied clearing minions and she should be able to keep you at range quite well.
