Summoner Spells Back to Top

Summoner spells

Since you are playing AD carry, you always want to take 7.png and 4.png
There are no other real valid options.

If you want to play Jhin midlane, i would either recommend barrier of exhaust.
My personal prefference goes out to barrier, but in certain assasin matchups (such as Zed) exhaust can be very usefull.

Masteries Back to Top

Masteries

Ferocity

Socery is the best option because the 2% spell dmg will give you more dmg then the AD you get from Fury.

You either want to take double edged sword of feast as second mastery. This depends a bit on your playstyle with Jhin, but both options are good. I like double edged sword because i think the 1,5% extra dmg you take wont make a difference later on in the game. You either get caught and die, or take no dmg at all in most cases.

Natural talent/vampirism are both valid options, again personal preference.
Same goes for bounty hunter and opressor.  I would take opressor if you aren't confident on Jhin, and bounty hunter if you are.

Battering blows, since you are dealing physical dmg.

Deathfire touch is the Go-to keystone on Jhin.
This will scale insanely hard because of your passive (scales with bonus ad, and lategame you have 700+ ad)

Cunning

You want to take secret stash for more lane sustain, merciless and dangerous game for more dmg.

Skill order - R/Q/W/E

As with all champs., upgrade R whenever you can.
Q max first for lane harras, en better last hitting.
W max second for longer snare duration.

If you are against a jungler that wont gank early on, you can consider taking a second point in Q at lvl 3, and get E at lvl 4.

Now, lets get to the most important part.
How do you want to use Jhin his skills?

Q - Dancing grenade.

This ability is mostly used for in lane harras, and lasthitting when reloading.
Optimaly you want to get 3 minions near a lane opponent low, so you can Q the minions, and it will bounce to the opponent with maximum dmg. The most early way to land this, is to get minions low near your opponent, en Q them if he goes in for a last hit.

The cartridge can hit a maximum of 4 times. Each kill by the cartridge increases the damage of subsequent hits by 35%.

A well timed Q together with a 4th shot can suprise your opponent with some high burst dmg.

W - Deathly Flourish

In lane you want to use this ability mostly to follow up on the engage of your support.
This way you get of a guarenteed snare, so you can chain CC the enemy AD carry with a bit of dmg.

Late/midgame you want to use this to follow up on your teams engage/pick.
Since the cooldown on this ability is quite long, its important to only use it to snare opponents, or kill them with a longrange snipe. Dont use this ability for damage if you know it wont kill ur target, since you may need before the ability is up again.
You can also do a cool trick with this:

E - Lotus trap

Most of the time you want to use this for the slow it provides, and the proc it gives so you can snare people with deathly flourish.
If you dont hit the opponent with W while they are moving over the trap, they wont take any dmg, or they must be boosted, because the trap takes too long to explode if you just walk over it.

R- Curtain Call

My favorite ability in League.
You can use this ability in different ways.

- To clean up afther a teamfight
- To engage a teamfight
- To make sure a teammate can escape

I will be adding more indeps information about this soon.
Just make sure that you dont ult if its safe for you to auto/q. Since that will give you more dps.

Situational Items

The ghostblade+duskblade i will build every game.

The ghostblade provides you some mobility (something that jhin lacks, but needs) and armorpen, while the duskblade adds to your burst, and also provides you with some nice armor pen.

In around 80% of the games i get rapid fire cannon as a 3th item. Its the best of the zeal items for jhin because you dont want to get up close, but still want to kite people with autos. RFC realy helps alot with this.
You also benefit alot from the extra movementspeed when you crit.

Then you can either build one of the last whisper items, or a infinity edge.
Depends on the game, lots of enemy armor = lw, lots of squishys = IE.

Grab a qss of you need one at any point in the game afther you have ghostblade+duskblade.

VS

Ashe

Medium

You should have more dmg early on, but be carefull poking, since you might need to blow summoner spells to get out alive if she slows you on your way out since we dont have any escapes.

VS

Jinx

Medium

Be carefull not to take too many rockets to the face without returning damage.

Also be aware of her ultimate when you are low and want to ult, because with the indicator she can easily snipe you down.

In my opinion a even, snowballheavy matchup.

VS

Miss Fortune

Hard

VS

Tristana

Hard

You can outpoke her early on., but with almost even gold she can just jump on you and straight up kill you if ur supps CC is on cooldown and she is around lvl 9.

VS

Twitch

Easy

You should be able to outpoke him early on with Q+crit.

Be awere when the enemy supp runs to you, because chances are twitch will apear next to you. And this is a problem since you dont have any escapes

VS

Vayne

Easy

Jhin should dominate this matchup pre 6, in a way that you are far enough ahead to not get any problems in the laning phase. Punish her when you can every time she g

Save Matchup Clear Matchup Close oes for a cs. Due to vaynes short AA range, its very easy to line her and some minions up for a high dmg Q.
