Summoner Spells Back to Top

4.pngOffers extra mobility, which Jhin hasn't got any of.

7.pngEssential in lane for trades, and also gives you that extra health and Movement speed.

New Runes Back to Top

Masteries Back to Top

Fury= extra attack speed (Scale's with passive)

Fresh blood= Extra damage on your first basic attack. (6 second cooldown, good for trading in lane, and strong when your first aa is your last shot)

Vampirism= I prefer the 4% spell vamp and lifesteal above the mastery "natural talent" (gives +10ad at lvl 18). Jhin makes use of spells and aa's a lot. And late game this will give you more advantage than natural talent.

Bounty hunter= Deal 1% extra damage for each unique enemy champion you killed. With Jhin it is easy to get kill's and execute enemy's. As you got 5 unique champion kills this will mean you get 5% extra damage. If you get an critical shot of (for example) 800 damage. +5% this will make it 840. but this will add up with your ad scaling on abilities. and will give an edge in late game fights.

Battering blows= +7% armor penetration Need I say more?

Deathfire touch= even tho this mastery has been nerfed, it is still really strong on Jhin. And I prefer it above all other keystones.

Recovery= gain 2.0 health per 5 seconds. A bit of sustain in laning phase.

Tough skin= Take 2 less damage from champions and neutral monsters basic attacks. This will also a bit more sustain in the laning phase.

Runic armor= Shieds, healing, regenaration, and lifesteal on you are 8% stronger. This is especially strong with an comp that can shield a lot, but will also work with redemption which is an most have item these days on supports.

Insight= Reduces summoner spell cooldowns bij 15%, Jhin has no that much mobility, and summoner spell are the only things that give him escape tools. That is why 15% cooldown reduction is essential on him.

I never ever upgrade e until it is the last ability.

The other ability's scale so much better when leveled up, and have way more need that your e.
I switch q and w up since they both are very efficient.

jhinq.pngJhin's Q- This is a very efficient wave clear/ trade tool. You can cast it direct after an auto attack which is
good for trading. But when you kill an minion or enemy with your Q it gets extra damage on the next target it jumps to. This is great for wave clear, which I already mentioned, but if you manage your trade well you can control the last bounce on the enemy for maximal damage output.

jhinw.pngJhin's W- A long range ability, good for long range poke/execute/ or farming. But his W also snares an champion when you hit that champion with an auto attack, or an ally with an aa or ability. Which is a great setup tool to catch someone out/or zone out. This is a part where you can setup and carry skirmishes or picks.

jhine.pngJhin's E- a plant you can throw on the ground. When an enemy champion or monster steps on it it will deploy, slow and explode within some seconds. The damage is strong, but most of the time the enemy champion can just easily step out of it. But this ability will trigger the Jhin W , so you can snare them when on top of this plant and maximize the damage. Stack them on top of each other to output most damage.

jhinr.pngJhin's R- Great zoning/catch and long range ability. 4 shots than you can shoot from long range. When hitting an enemy it will slow them for 0.5 seconds. You can use this ability to zone them away or in a corner. Slow the enemy up to catch them out, or just to kill them from long range when escaping. The last shot (4th shot) does a lot more damage. Try to use this one to execute an enemy or chunk down the carry.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Normal start, very very situational is a cull. Maybe when you lane with a janna or soraka vs a strong engage lane. and you want to not fight go for a cull.

Core Items

ninja tabi is situational vs an AD team or a strong ad assassin. Otherwise go for Bersker's Greaves. Guardian angel can be vs a heavy CC comp with an assassin. Vs a heavy cc comp QSS can be very good as well. Vs a heavy AP comp get MAW of malmortius.

Situational Items

MAW of malmortius= VS heavy AP comp/maybe ziggs ADC/Rumble top. Strong ap carry vs heavy CC= Mecrurial Scimitar. Cull= Laning with Janna/soraka vs strong all in botlane. Stall laning phase, dont fight, just cs and get advantage by that cull and csing. Executioner's calling= VS Soraka. The Bloodthirster= If you want AD/Life steal, vs a low armor team.

VS

Ashe

Medium

Your damage output is stronger, if you know how to work with Jhin, care for his R since if you are stunned you get bursted easily without any mobility.

He can also easy R when you R.

VS

Caitlyn

Hard

Outranges you early easy. Wins trades. Try to lane safely. You need to be far ahead to win vs cait 1v1.

VS

Draven

Hard

Stay back, CS. Wins all trades and 1v1. Only with a gank or hard cc and mistakes of him you can kill him. Otherwise stay safe.

VS

Ezreal

Easy

Fairly okay matchup. Your last shot for poke, and aa range is in your advantage. He can dodge skill shots by his e easly. But in lane you are fine against him.

VS

Lucian

Medium

Can dodge your W and R easy. Has high damage output since buff. Play a bit safe, and only fight when he is cc'ed and you can burst him.

VS

Sivir

Easy

She can spellshield on of your abilities, and use R for extra movement speed when you ult. But overall you should win trades, and win lane easily.
