Good in every situation, 4.png is our preferred 2nd summoner spell, 95% of the time. 4.png has great utility, defensive, and offensive uses, and is synergistic with our high risk, high reward play.

Only consider taking 6.png when evolving khazixr.png at level 6 AND against a team of 4-5 immobile champions like 22.png202.png101.png30.png143.png96.png20.png16.png161.png, and 63.png. Even then, 4.png may still be the better option.

The 6362.png of preseason. We’re looking for as much front-loaded damage as possible so we can burst out enemies before they have a chance to retaliate. 3147.png proc +Electrocute.png?width=32 proc + khazixr.png Duskblade resets will destroy almost every champion come mid-game.
Dark%20Harvest.png?width=32is also viable, as it can proc multiple times in teamfights, but Electrocute.png?width=32gives us guaranteed early-mid game damage and is more useful than Dark%20Harvest.png?width=32 when playing from behind.179.png

 Zombie Ward

Zombie%20Ward.png?width=32 synergizes well with 3364.png and 3147.png, both of which are core Kha’Zix item buys. Zombie%20Ward.png?width=32 gives our wards an additional 3 minutes of vision and spawns3 minute wards on top of enemy wards we destroy. If we place a Zombie%20Ward.png?width=32 on an enemy camp that doesn't get destroyed, we can have vision of that camp for more than 4 minutes!
Eyeball%20Collection.png?width=32 is a viable choice, but Zombie%20Ward.png?width=32 has so much base value that it's hard to pass up.

 Relentless Hunter 

Relentless%20Hunter.png?width=32 at max stacks gives us an additional 48 movement speed. Coupled with 3047.png or 3111.png, we can get +93 out of combat movement speed, which is close to the +115 out of combat movement speed 3117.png provides. Taking Relentless%20Hunter.png?width=32and 3047.png/3111.png gives us the defense to take hits and the speed to secure kills.
Ravenous%20Hunter.png?width=32 is a viable choice, but it doesn’t give us any meaningful combat stats. Our 2031.pngkhazixw.png healing, 11.png healing, and river plant berries should be more than enough sustain.

Triumph.png?width=32 is synergistic with 121.png kit, especially evolved khazixe.png. In skill-based matchups/skirmishes, getting health back from takedowns CAN turn the tides of a fight.

 Perfect Timing 

Perfect%20Timing.png?width=32 is a free 600g item that we will always build up from. When we build into GA without taking Perfect%20Timing.png?width=32, we often find ourselves either struggling to find use for Stopwatch in the midgame or completely forgo it and build into 3026.png whenever we have the gold for it. Perfect%20Timing.png?width=32 is a strong early game item which can get turret aggro off us, dodge enemy abilities, and save us from death. This rune also reduces 3026.png CD by 15%!

 Magical Footwear 

Magical%20Footwear.png?width=32 is a free 300g (more like 400g though with all other benefits included) item that we will always build up from. Magical%20Footwear.png?width=32 is better than 1001.png, having +10 MS, and obviously worse than T2 boots, but this isn't a problem for 121.png. T2 boots are rarely a necessity for Kha'Zix. Plus, we need all the gold possible to rush our 3147.png, so shelling out 600-800g for boots in the early game will delay our 3147.png by over a minute! We can hold off on upgrading boots with Magical%20Footwear.png?width=32 even until 3026.png because they are so efficient.

Void Assault 

Leveling khazixr.png gives us empowered abilities. Take R whenever possible.

Maxing khazixq.png improves Q damage. We max Q first because it is our primary source of damage and is extremely spammable, especially with evolved Q.

Maxing khazixw.png increases W damage as well as W healing. We max W second because it's our primary means of sustain and our secondary source of damage.

Leap

Maxing khazixe.png increases E damage and decreases E cooldown. We max E last because its damage is inconsistent and we most likely won't be able to leap multiple times in fights with unevolved E regardless.

Now the undisputed best starting items for Kha'Zix. 1041.png clears faster than 1039.png, allowing us to buy our 3715.pngsooner. The lack of health regen from 1039.png is not a problem if you can juggle camp aggression effectively.

Red Smite is the strongest smite for Kha'Zix by far. I cannot recommend 1400.png when 1412.png is this good. Red smite will deal more damage while also reducing incoming damage from one target. With a 3147.png-empowered auto attack, we already have a strong CC clow, which makes the slow from 1400.png a bit overkill.

This being said, 1400.png is NOT a bad buy. I personally would only buy it if the enemy team is VERY squishy.

 Choosing 3047.png or 3111.png with 1412.png transforms Kha'Zix from a glass cannon into an assassin with bruiser-like defense. 3047.pnghave are valuable VS team, while 3111.pngare situational buys.

3117.png are still viable, but no longer the preferred choice in a majority of games. The bonus movespeed we get from Relentless%20Hunter.png?width=32 and Celerity.png?width=32 + 3047.png/3111.png gives us similar amounts of movespeed with the addition of increased survivability. The only time I would recommend buying3117.png is when the enemy team is VERY squishy.

*If you are snowballing and return to base with more than 1100g, purchase 3147.png components: 3134.png and 3133.png and look to finish building your 3147.png before your T2 boots. Prioritize AD stats when ahead.

Duskblade has two passives which essentially are an extra 3364.png and Electrocute.png?width=32that resets every time we use khazixr.png! All this, coupled with Duskblade's combat stats 1412.png AAs give us our largest power spike.

Ghostblade pairs well with Relentless%20Hunter.png?width=32, giving us some serious speed when we need it. Kha'Zix's damage and sticking power are greatly improved with 3142.png

3071.png is preferred over 3142.png as a 4th item buy IF weyou're evolving W 2nd AND against hard to kill enemies (8.png516.png26.png40.png427.pngetc).

If we choose to build 1412.png->1001.png->3147.png3077.png can be purchased immediately after, instead of 3047.png/3111.png/3117.png3077.png is an cheapest, most immediate power spike we can buy for its price. If we are behind and unable to buy 3142.png/3071.png within a reasonable aomunt of time, 3077.png is a good buy. It gives us AD, faster jungle clear speed, and additional burst on activation. khazixw.png evolution + 3077.png kills all the small camp monsters! We shouldn't bother with it if we're snowballing though; it'll only slow down our core item progression. A typical 3077.png build progresses as followed:

We give up early 3026.png because of 3077.png slot. 3077.png has no place in a full build; eventually we need to sell it to purchase better items.

Note all our defensive options have AD stats included. 3026.png is a must-buy item in any Kha'Zix build. Feel free to replace 3026.png with 3814.png or 3156.png when GA is on CD. Options 2, 3, 4, and 5 are our best options. Go with option 3 against Cinderhulk junglers and option 4 against Runic/Warrior junglers if you decide to invade. Go with option 5 if the most of the conditions: summoner spells, wave position, kill potential, and health are green-lit.

If 121.png loses against the enemy jungler at level 3 and/or there are no nearby gankable lanes:

How you choose to do this is up to you, but try to path with keeping the uptime of respawning camps to a minimum. 121.png will eventually outdamage the enemy jungler, we just need the experience and items.

Provide meaningful vision to unsafe and/or volatile lanes


Dive/gank-prone champions like 41.png 157.png 10.png lose most lane matchups. Ideally, we center our presence around this lane, be there to match ganks, and provide vision for them if we can't physically be there.

Snowball lanes like 420.png 55.png 92.png are decided by the smallest of advantages. If we don't win 2v2s with or against them early, we need to ward around them so the enemy jungler can't completely decide the lane in their favour. Post-6, 121.png can abuse khazixr.png invisibility to skew snowball lanes.

Here are some general things to keep in mind when jungling:

Kill camps in a systemic order and be there to kill them again when they respawn. Being competent at this is enough to get you to Diamond. 179.png

Recall only when necessary


Every time you recall, you waste around 20 seconds walking back to your jungle. If backing isn't a necessity, stay on the map for as long as possible. We can do a lot in 20 seconds.

Understand the value of a successful gank in each of your lanes and gank accordingly


Not all lanes are created equal. Prioritize lanes that benefit the most from advantages. For example, a 55.png snowball lane will do more with a lead than a 31.png tank lane

On the other side of the coin, deprioritize lanes that are difficult to gank. 40.png 223.png 429.png lanes, for example, will almost never net us a kill or free local objectives near them. Counterganking is the only option here.

When in doubt, farm


If your teammates are pinging you to come gank their lanes, ask yourself if you're in a position to do so. 

"Are ___ and I strong enough to kill ___?"
"Where is the enemy jungler? What are the chances of him counterganking?"
"Am I forcing a gank on ___ lane?"
"Is ___ lane even gankable? (in terms of position, summoner spells, champion matchups, etc)"

If you have multiple reservations about ganking a lane AT THAT MOMENT, don't force it, farm or find something else to do. BUT periodically check in to see if anything changes your mind; a lane can change a lot in a matter of seconds.

Level First, Gank Later

121.png is laughably weak pre-6. Many unexperienced players play 121.png the same way that they would 60.png or 64.png: gank heavy in the early game. Every failed level 3-5 gank sets us even further back from our level 6 power spike. 121.png hits a mini spike after completing 1412.png and his main spike after completing 3147.png. Farm efficiently early game, get evolutions, and transition to a gank heavy playstyle once we have items to back us up.

Stick Around Enemy Laners who Lack Summoner Spells

121.png is a very potent solo lane ganker. Most champions do not have the kits to escape 121.png if they have already used 4.png and/or6.png121.png can abuse immobile champions and snowball out of control. This holds true in the top lane especially, where we can burn the enemy's 4.png, kill them, wait for them to 12.png back, and then kill them again.

IF YOU EVOLVE W

Evolved khazixw.png slows for 80%. khazixw.png->khazixe.png slows the enemy as soon as we are on top of them, giving us 2 seconds to hit freely. khazixw.png is also up 1 second earlier than khazixe.png->khazixw.png,which will increase our DPS in extended fights.

IF YOU EVOLVE R

Evolved khazixr.png ganks are even stonger than evolved khazixe.png ganks, making them almost uncounterable when played correctly. When ganking, walk into brush, press 3142.png and/or 3814.png, and gain invisibility. Start walking towards the enemy laner. Just before your invisibility times out, press khazixr.png and continue walking towards the enemy until you are directly on top of them. Open with 1412.png3147.png-enhanced AA, khazixq.png khazixw.pngkhazixr.png again to reset 3147.png, and enhanced-AA again. If the enemy tries to run away, chase them down with khazixe.png

Don't Engage in 5v5 Teamfights

As much as you want to kill the seemingly isolated ADC, hold back on using khazixe.png or khazixr.png to start teamfights. Wait for some big ultimates and CC spells to come out and then make a safe entry into the fight, amidst all the chaos.

Build Damage Whenever Possible

If you have the opportunity to build 3047.png/3111.png or 3134.png, buy more AD unless you're behind. The best defense is the best offense.179.png

Mirror your starts against early game junglers

121.png is very abusable early game. If the enemy jungler decides to walk into your jungle to contest your camps, there's nothing we can do to stop them. I commonly do this against 60.png64.png141.png107.png, and 59.png.

To avoid all of this, we can start on the opposite side of our jungle, getting a leash from top lane as opposed to bot lane, and mirror our path so that we never risk being invaded early.
