Summoner Spells Back to Top

innTCQD.png

4.png12.png Standard Summoners

4.png3.png The 1v1 Me Setup

The best way to assuredly get back on your mount

Exhaust is a fantastic choice complimenting Kled's ability to 1v1 along with making up for his primary weakness, being un-mounted. With exhaust, Kled is able to both slow and weaken his target to continuously engage them to rebuild his courage and re-mount.

Example:

240.png engages full on into a 51.png

240.png manages to get 51.png low however he is forced to dismount due to the damage he is taking

240.png uses 3.png on 51.png preventing him from both being kited and finished off

240.png remounts and finishes the job

VICTORY!

Masteries Back to Top

The Optimal Mastery Setup

Balance between both damage output and sustain

Explanations Below

The Damage Output

Natural Talent and Fury are the best masteries to support Kled in this, paired with a 1055.png, you'll kick off your AD at 83, a force to be reckoned with from the very start.

Bounty Hunter is also a much greater mastery than Opressor for Kled complimenting his ultimate kledR.png. By becoming a regular for picks, you're fairly certain to always get more out of your bounty hunter pushing on average a 3-5% permanent damage increase.

The Sustain

Kled's greatest weakness early game is being quickly dismounted, the remaining masteries best compliment Kled for sustaining him on his mount in the early game.

The Secrets of Every Ability

Pulling ahead and optimizing the use of your abilities

Images Coming Soon!

kledpassive.png Passive: Skaarl the Cowardly Lizard

Fighting Mounted:

Play it smart, do efficient trades and always keep an eye on Skaarl's health. Its best to do full on engages or trades when his health is around 80-100% however when his health is around 10-20% you want to stay defensive or else an easy engage will put you down for good.
  • Skaarl the Team Player: When SKaarl's health threshold is broken, the damage doesn't carry over to Skaarl, for this case, sometimes you want to use it to block some serious damage from abilities such as 202.png and the final round of his ultimate jhinR.png.
  • Sometimes, It's Good to Dismount: Alot of times you will face players laning against you who will intentionally leave Skaarl extremely low at around 5% to set you up for a gank. A great counter to this in the laning phase is to attack the enemy champion for minion aggro to knock you off when its safe.

Fighting Dismounted:

Remember to be careful, being dismounted makes Skaarl extremely easy to chase due to his heavily reduced base movement speed. The trick to remounting however is utilizing your bonus auto attack range and pistol when dismounted to charge it that Kled's passive does not tell you! Most notably is your increased auto attack range from 125 to 250, remember to really utilize it well to get the edge on your opponents!
  • The Turn Around: When players dive you 1v1, or even 2v1, 3.png is the best way to turn around the fight and guarantee a remount.
  • Going B : Use your best judgement to decide if it is safe to attempt to re-mount in lane or not. Rule of thumb is, if you have no counter measure to ensure safety such as 3.png, being at turret or the opposing champion being at 35-40% HP, you should go back and re-mount.

The Courage Regenerating Cheat-Sheet:

  • 15  : Auto Attacking a Champion
  • 5  : Auto Attacking a Turret
  • 5x : Per Pellet of Kleds Pocket Pistol hitting a Champion
  • 4  : Minion Kill
  • 4 : Epic Monste Hit (Not Worth Hitting just to re-mount)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

kledQ.png Q : Bear Trap on a Rope / Pocket Pistol

Bear Trap on a Rope

A fairly simple ability, there's 3 major points you want to note when using this ability
  • Run with your enemies to ensure the Bear Trap on a Rope triggers its second stage
  • If you land your bear-trap, combo in well using your kledW.png and 3.png for great damage
  • Use this while dashing with your kledE.png or to follow up the small knock back of your kledR.png to guarantee a hook and force enemy disengages such as 4.png!

Pocket Pistol

A great disengage tool, this is fantastic for getaways and wall jumping. When facing opponents, the key to using it is timing the ability to counter hard engages from champions such as 92.png or 64.png making sure your jump back has things to support you such as a brush or minions.
Remember to combine the ability with 3.png and your kledW.png auto attacks to push that big reversal and re-mount for the kill!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

kledW.png W : Violent Tendencies

The meat and potatoes of what makes you scary throughout all stages of the game, this ability being off cooldown is the key to what makes people fear you and the key to your survival. two things to especially keep in note is that the ability is effected by cooldown reduction!

When Mounted

Utilize your kledQ.png, combo it in well by smashing your enemy with your kledW.png and you will guaranteed out-trade them.

When your kledW.png is down however, try to play a bit more defensive utilizing your kledE.png for safety and kiting well until it comes back off cooldown to bring back the offense.

When Dismounted

Utilize your extended auto attack range from your kledpassive.png and the attack speed bonus kledW.png  to prevent yourself from being kited and get back on Skaarl asap. Thanks to the increase auto attack range, you can also pocket pistol first and still attack the enemy to really stack up that courage fast.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

kledE.png E : Jousting

Very straightforward, you dash quickly, it does a little bit of damage, and you cant go through walls with it. There are however some neat tricks to utilize it really well with Kled.
  • The Jousting Juke: Utilizing this ability, you can use the dash through to juke players by tagging enemy champions or jungle, drawing them away and then using your follow up kledE.png to return back to it.
  • Calvery Kiting: Thanks to the 1 second speed buff and distance of the dash, you can also utilize the ability really well with your kledQ.png to ensure the second trigger along with your kledW.png to do damage from enough of a distance to extremely hinder your opponent from fighting back while still being able to get all your damage off.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

kledR.png R : Chaaaaaaaarge!!!

Trumpets trumpets and more trumpets, this is the ability in which people hate as you leave no way to escape, or is there...? When your palying with this ultimate, its best to use it aggressively to follow up. Its best to use this ability to catch out players for your team to make future plays or as a follow up to ensure enemies do not escape your grasp.
  • Follow up your kledR.png with a guaranteed kledQ.png to ensure the kill
  • If an enemy breaks vision (ex. a Bush, or goes invisible) you will kledR.png right past them.
  • Ping before using it! (YOU CANNOT PING YOUR TEAMATES WHEN CHARGING)

Item Breakdowns and Explanations

Pictures / Icons Coming Soon!

Why Essence Reaver Instead of Ghostblade?

Essence Reaver overall is better because it scales well throughout all stages of the game for Kled in comparison to Ghostblade only working well for him in the early-mid game.

Pair with an Infinity Edge to watch the world burn with 1k+ Crits

OR

Pair with a Ghostblade to become an un-kiteable deathmachine

When Should I Zzrots Portal?

This is the item you build when you lost lane heavily and need to make that comeback OR need to win with a split push. By rushing out a portal ASAP, you can make comebacks by forcing strong split pushes on the enemy.

PORTAL TIPS

  • Placement: Place your portals in the tips of bushes facing your enemy to maximize distance and confuse enemies
  • Its a Trap!: Bringing exhaust and using your ultimate kledR.png to make removing the portal solo NOT a good option for your enemies. This tactic comes in really handy especially if you rush a portal early since it allows you to either get free picks, get free objectives, OR get both!

VS

Akali

Easy

Be patient and land your kledQ.png and you're pretty much good to go for the rest.

VS

Ashe

Medium

Be careful, while she has no mobility, an asheR.png followed by her slows will potentially make you kited until death if you did not land your kledE.png

VS

Caitlyn

Hard

Also a tough catch, with the use of her caitlynyordletrap.pngcaitlynentrapment.png and her extreme long range, hitting her with your kledE.pngkledQ.png will be a difficult task as you will likely be required to hit her at maximum range to have a chance of sniping her.

VS

Cho'Gath

Easy

Bully and agressively dodge his rupture.png with your kledE.png to pressure him and counter attack with your kledQ.png and kledW.png to easily come out ahead.

VS

Ekko

Hard

Extremely annoying kite power against you, he will likely be able to kite, un-mount and bully you early game so be careful.

VS

Gangplank

Easy

VS

Hecarim

Hard

VS

Kha'Zix

Medium

No isolation, no problem!

Also be aware that if he stealths with his khazixR.png, your kledR.png will not tag him and you may end up rolling straight past him so, be smart with it and don't overshoot the landing point!

VS

Miss Fortune

Easy

Sword, Face, Crush

VS

Nautilus

Easy

VS

Renekton

Medium

VS

Rengar

Easy

Fairly easy to kite with your kledQ.pngkledE.png and 3.png while still maintaining strong damage. Remember to use the minions for good minion blocking and you'll be good to go at all stages of the game.

VS

Riven

Easy
kledQ.png consistently and poke riven, in this  match up you have better overall control of the situation and you can kite and chase her very easily using your kledE.png as well.

A great deterrent to her as well is to kledQ.png her anytime she tries to dash in for farm or directly at you for damage

VS

Shen

Hard

Be very careful, Shen is extremely dangerous to you as his entire kit is a hard counter to you. Especially his shenfeint.png can be casted to prevent you from finishing off players or dealing your full damage with your kledW.png as his shenvorpalstar.png and shenpassive.png help him trade you toe to toe.

VS

Teemo

Medium

You beat him super early game, but as the game scales up his bantamtrap.pngmovequick.png and blindingdart.png get you kited indefinitely.

The real deal breaker here however is the blindingdart.png can stop the damage from your kledW.png and disable you as a threat. Be very careful with this and bring Mercury Treads and a Quicksilver Sash to cleanse and reduce the blind duration.

VS

Vladimir

Medium

Build a Ravenous Hydra

VS

Zed

Hard

His entire kit counters you and he can kite you very easily, be careful, play smart and only stick to your kledQ.png if you know he cant jump anymore.
