Before we talk about all his abilities in-dept, let's take a look at his passive.
Here are his numbers for gaining towards re-mounting (Courage)
5 = Epic monsters + Tower
15 = Hitting a champion
20 = Kill or assist
Pretty simple.
But it's how we can abuse/bait getting re-mounted.
Baiting with Baby Kled
Although the Yorick isn't the greatest player, this is the ideal set up.
Have Courage almost at max.
Engage in combat to gain the remaining Courage needed.
Go for the kill
If you look at the my HP at the end, you'll see I took very little damage, just because I went from Baby -> Mounted -> Baby, and the only health I lost in the fight was from when I was mounted - the health that is easily re-attainable.
Re-mounting/Balls to the wall
Once you're Baby Kled in a team fight, you should either be
Exiting the fight
Going HAM as you're trying to re-mount
?????
Here is an important clip showing to not panic in situations.
So I went too HAM in this clip going for the Jinx and getting de-mounted.
I already know there's no way out but to fight
So the thing with being Baby Kled is that you sometimes gotta go balls to the wall and auto some people, kill or get an assist, then you're back to full mount. Towards the mid/late game, you're bound to get re-mounted during the fight, so don't let Baby Kled...
When you hook on to someone, the radius of the circle becomes smaller, making it hard to trade early with it, since you have to get so close to your opponent - 1.75s is a long time to be next to someone, so it's better to use it as a full combo tool than to use it to poke/harass your opponent.
To simply put it, when you want to go in for the full combo, just start off with (Q) and follow up with your (W) auto attacks
Helpful Tips:
-Before you de-mount and go into Baby Kled, make sure to use your (Q) as it persist through de-mount.
-Good Counter to invisible units such as + + for it give vision of stealth units if hooked.
How to use (Q) as Baby Kled
When in Baby Kled, this is all you're given. Sure, you have W but you do less damage while de-mounted, so this why maxing (Q) is probably to best option, as it gives damage increase to both (Q)'s and helps in both forms.
There isn't much to say about the ability, just use it to:
Farm from a distant
Use to gap close
Escape.
Helpful Tip:
-Using Q to escape over terrain can help in tight situations.
Before I talk about the skill, can we just agree that having the (W) go off when you auto something is quite annoying at times. But I guess it's a way to balance the skill and not letting you use the skill when ever you'd like.
So with that in mind, you have to be cautious on how you use your W, for it is most of your Damage - You like to auto, W helps with that, those two make up your damage.
When you're looking to trade, you must have your W up, or at least a few seconds on cooldown before going in.
*Very important that W is up for trade/all in - there's no point to use your Q if you're not going in*
Q + W = Pain.
Just keep in mind to have W up or else you aren't going to win.
*Also, don't be afraid to get up in their face and just start with W and follow up with Q*
*MAKE SURE YOU HIT YOUR LAST W!!*
The last hit of W will do the most damage.
How to use (W) as Baby Kled
You want to have some Courage building up and use your small, frail stature to bait people into fighting you.
Four hits of your (W) will grant you 60 courage. So poke with Q, and sneak in a few autos for your range is increased slightly
Once you have (W) and some Courage, you can go in and bait, then, watch them stand there aimlessly as you get re-mounted and have free range to all your abilities again.
Pretty simple and clean dash - but more than the eye can see from it.
The most important part of the ability is that you can dash TWICE! (if you hit them)
There are some little draw backs from the skill, but all of good positives.
Cons:
Can not dash through walls it's pretty lame, but oh well.
Have to hit the enemy with it for the skill to be useful.
Pros:
Can dash twice Great for gap closing even more
But is probably the best feature of the skill.
You can use it follow champs over...
Walls
The way the skill works is, when you hit an enemy with it, it'll sort of mark that target, allowing you two dashes to the enemy champion. And make sure you read that right. TO the champ, not just dash where you want.
Ideal situation:
(E) enemy champ -> use skills -> dash another time.
*The ability last some time, so you can space out your dashes*
Now, to use it the fullest is to watch for enemy champ's position.
If you're fighting in the jungle, they could easily flash over the wall. That's where our Second (E) comes in handy as we can follow up the flash and continue to stick right on then.
Flash situation:
(E) enemy champ -> use skills -> *they flash* -> use 2nd (E) -> resume killing.
Helpful Tip:
-Pay attention to whether or not you've use your 2nd (E). Sometime when you're fighting, you'll (E) on an enemy, kill them and go back to fighting, but when you look at your cooldowns, you'll see that (E) is up. So then you try using it and you're brought back to the dead champs body. very annoying as it interrupted what you going to do
Think of the skill as Sion's ult, but instead of moving the champ, your destination and path is predetermined as you pick the spot you want choose.
The best part about the ability is:
Gain a shield, overtime
CANNOT BE STOPPED/SLOW/STUNNED
Godly engage
Give movement speed for the entire team
The only downside of the ability is that you might overshoot/undershoot/misdirect the ultimate, then it becomes wasted...
So learn to ult well until you're a god
Helpful Tips:
How to avoid Kled Ult
Flash:
If he didn't wait until the last second, I wouldn't have locked on and follow him over the wall.
Positioning:
I placed the ult really poorly - it was too close to the wall, very close. Even with the ult so close to the wall, the radius of the ult was the saving factor.
The Yorick could have easily moved further away, making run into the tower.
Get level 2 fast, Skill up (W), land your (Q) and then go HAM **If you're good enough, it helps if you (Q) them while still level 1, and then hit level 2 and trade. They Probably won't expect it**
If not:
You should be actively looking to kill your lane opponent because of how good your kit is. **That's like, playing Fiora and just farming all game. You don't want to break even in CS, you want to CRUSH your opponent.**
