Summoner Spells Back to Top

Flash/Ignite: Standard things, give you more mobility to escape or outplay and more killpressure because of the DoT True DMG

Flash/Cleanse: Use this if you're not really confident in your lane vs a 127.png or 25.png

Masteries Back to Top

Note:

you can use Precision over Intelligence, but i'll explain why i run Intelligence over Precision.

At 40% CDR LeBlanc's W has a 6 sec CD while using it and you have a return pad of 5 sec, so the downtime on her W when timed perfectly is 2 sec. With 45% CDR the CD is 5.5 sec which makes the downtime only 1.5 sec. That extra half a second off can cause the enemy to use their skillshots too late, which gives you the oppertunity to escape.

Now for the rest of the questionable masteries:

Double Edged Sword > Everything else, since it got buffed that it's the same for ranged and melee. Thank you /u/StingerLittle pointing that out!

Vampirism > Natural Talent since NT gives AD (which LB has no use of) and the amount of AP is just too small to have a influence, meanwhile Vampirism is able to give you more lane sustain, which makes you even more opressive in lane.

Savagery > Wanderer since LeBlanc has a bit of a hard time lasthitting and she already has insane mobility with her W. LeBlanc actually does decent when she just farms (she is often picked in LCS since she scales decently with farm compared to other assassins). The extra time faster roaming with Wanderer really isn't that much.

Assassin > Secret Stash since LeBlanc likes damage and we already have a lot of lanesustain because of the other masteries anyway.

Max leblancslide.png 1st: CD goes down and the DMG per LVL is pritty high, so it gives a lot of mobility midgame when maxed.
Max leblancchaosorb.png 2nd: Base damage is pritty high but CD does not go down per LVL, which is why you max it second.
Max leblancsoulshackle.png 3rd: Base damage is OK but we just need the utility, so we just need 1 point into it.

If your Jungler plans on ganking LVL 3 or you want a LVL 3 cheese kill then take E third, but in general LVL 3 W gives more poke since using E is normally a waste of mana if you purely use it to proc Q.

The reason you want 2 points in Q early is because a LVL 2 Q deals more damage than a LVL 2 W. After that mobility is your primary focus so you start maxing W after LVL 3

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

    Standard starting items
    You should usually get these items at your first back.

Core Items

    Standard Build: Morello's first followed up by Abyssal.
    Magic Pen Build: Morello's into void for when they build a lot of MR early.
    Poke Build: Luden's into Morello's when you need more poke or when they have heavy waveclear.
    Fuck Zed Build: Zhonya's into Morello's so AD matchups like zed can't screw you over.
    Midgame Core: These are the 3rd and 4th item that makes LeBlanc disgustinly strong. At this point you'll do so much staight up burst that unless the ADC builds Maw + Mercurial, they'll just get blown up instantly.

Situational Items

    Last item: Zhonya's makes going all-in in teamfights easier, Ludens gives more burst and waveclear, Abyssal gives a lot of MPen and MR, Rylais makes you tanky and gives you a bit more CC while not sacrificing on DMG, GA if you just keep dying. The elixer speaks for itself.
    Sell boots for Liandries tornment, you still gain the same amount of MPen like Sorcerer's, but you gain more HP and AP which makes you hit harder and become tankier in trade of some MS, which you dont really need because of your W anyway
This is a example that you will use most of the time:

VS

Ahri

Medium
Pritty easy matchup since her charm got nerfed, go in with leblancchaosorb.pngleblancslide.png. If she hits her ahriseduce.png and throws a ahriorbofdeception.png afterwards, dodge the return of that ahriorbofdeception.png with returning to your leblancslide.png.
If your jungler ganks you post-6, use the leblancslide.pngleblancsoulshackle.pngleblancmimic.pngleblancchaosorb.png combo to lock her down insanely hard so your jungler has a easy time ganking you. This combo basicly locks her down for 3 whole seconds. This guarentees either a kill or her flash.

Use the Standard Build

VS

Akali

Easy
Snowball off her Pre-6. watch out Post-6 because she has pritty insane burst. Buy a Pink for in teamfights to see her.

Use the Standard Build

VS

Anivia

Easy
Snowball off her Pre-6. watch out Post-6 because she has pritty insane burst. Dodge her stun and you basicly won the trade.

Use the Standard Build

VS

Annie

Easy
Easy matchup, just a bit tricky. Try to hit 6 before her and kill her when she hasn't hit 6 yet. If she hits 6 BACK IMMEDIATELY. Buy a 1057.png before anything else. Make sure she doesn't snowball and you can burst her down after she uses ult, since she can't burst you down anymore. 1 more tip, stay full HP all the time, since her burst when you have full HP and a 1057.png is still like 70%-80% of your HP. She got nothing after her burst so you can kill her right then.

Use the Standard Build but build Abyssal first

VS

Aurelion Sol

Easy
Snowball off him Pre-6. watch out Post-6 because he has pritty insane burst. Dodge his stun and you basicly won the trade.

Use the Standard Build or Poke Build

VS

Azir

Medium
Skillmatchup. if he places azirW.png on you, leblancchaosorb.pngleblancslide.pngleblancsoulshackle.png and keep aa'ing him while walking away. Don't go back to your leblancslide.png or he'll just poke you, only return when he uses his azirQ.png

Use the Poke Build

VS

Brand

Medium
Sidestep his brandfissure.png and brandblaze.png and you basicly won the trade. Only annoying thing is that he can spam it quite a lot so make sure you have happy feet.

Use the Standard Build but rush Abyssal first

VS

Diana

Hard
She bursts you twice as hard post-6. DODGE EVERY dianaQ.png SHE THROWS AT YOU POST 6 or she'll instagib you. she usually rushes Abyssal so make sure you have a lot of MPen

Use the standard build with Abyssal first or if you're more confident go the MPen Build.

VS

Ekko

Easy
You simply outdamage him until the 30 minute mark, if he plays safe, just roam.

Use the Standard Build

VS

Kassadin

Hard
Farm up and roam, this is a insanely hard matchup. Make sure you get a advantage over him by roaming or by asking the jungler for help, because you're gonna have a extremely hard time killing him during the laning phase and his damage midgame shits on you if you haven't snowballed/he is fed.

Use the standard build with Abyssal first

VS

Katarina

Easy
Just poke with leblancchaosorb.pngleblancslide.png. A good kata will try to doge with her shadowstep.png so if that happens just predict where she will shadowstep.png or proc leblancchaosorb.png with your leblancsoulshackle.png.

Use the Standard/Poke Build

VS

Lissandra

Medium
Wait for her to use her lissandraQ.png and then engage on her with leblancchaosorb.pngleblancslide.png which will win you the trade almost Always. If you are scared of her lissandraR.png (this is her ult for the people that don't know), don't hesitate to get 1.png in this matchup.

Use the Standard Build

VS

Lux

Easy
Dodge her snare and you outdamage her Big Time. She'll be annoying all game long though because her damage is insane even when behind, just remember that no matter how far behind she is, she will still oneshot you if she hits her snare.

Use the Standard/Poke Build

VS

Malphite

Hard
U ded bud, FF20 GG EZ.

Just kidding, I just haven't played against enough AP malphites to know this matchup, and to be honest, i don't even want to learn because i need to face a AP Malphite then. *shudders*

Use the Standard Build but with Abyssal first, that's your safest choice i guess.

VS

Morgana

Hard
It's not hard because she'll shit on you, it's hard because you can't kill her because of her stupid blackshield.png. It makes you unable to burst her down and you can't CC her. Morg won't be able to do much to you except hardpush the lane. So make sure to clear the wave hard and start roaming.

Use the Poke/Standard Build

VS

Orianna

Easy
You basicly shit on her as long as you dodge her orianaizunacommand.png and orianadetonatecommand.png. Not much to explain about it.

Use the Standard Build or MPen Build

VS

Syndra

Medium

Sorry mate, i litteraly have maybe played twice against Syndra ever with LeBlanc so i can't help you with this one.

VS

Talon

Medium
Dodge his talonrake.png and poke him with leblancchaosorb.pngleblancslide.png. If he engages on you just leblancsoulshackle.pngleblancchaosorb.png and leblancslide.png out of his talonrake.png. Use 3157.png to block half of his talonshadowassault.png and if you're Lucky you can also block talonrake.png.

Use the Fuck Zed Build

VS

Twisted Fate

Easy
Easiest matchup of your life, he is litteraly free food. Gross Gore and every other TF main will hate you lol.

Use the Standard/Poke Build

VS

Veigar

Easy
Same as TF, just don't get stuck in his veigareventhorizon.png. Easy matchup, he is helpless against you if he can't hit his stun.

Use the Standard/Poke Build

VS

Xerath

Hard
He is a pain in the ass to deal with. His longrange poke is hard to dodge so make sure you buy some early boots (maybe even upgrade it) so you can sidestep his shit. Xerath has a problem when you come close range, since he doesn't have much disengage. Build Luden's first because it gives you even more MS.

Use the Poke Build

VS

Yasuo

Medium
Same as Talon. If he engages on you use leblancsoulshackle.pngleblancchaosorb.png and walk away, use leblancslide.png to get out if he is too sticky, if not then use your leblancslide.png when your leblancsoulshackle.png locks. Don't poke him, if you let him engage on you you will win the trade every time if you follow the steps mentioned above.

Use the Fuck Zed Build

VS

Zed

Hard
Probably the most fun matchup in the game, but it is in his favor early game. Sidestep zedW.pngzedE.pngzedQ.png and engage on him with leblancchaosorb.pngleblancslide.png. If he dodges with zedW.png then go back to your leblancslide.png and use leblancsoulshackle.png on him to proc your mark. Post-6 dont use your leblancmimic.png. Only use leblancchaosorb.pngleblancslide.png and when he zedR.png you, use your leblancmimic.png to get away since it mimics your leblancslide.png.

Use the Fuck Zed Build (Obviously)

Combo's Back to Top

Before heading into combo's

LeBlanc has some auto attacks in her combo's (some of which are animation cancels as well) that really can add up to some extra damage. The auto attacks are shown as a picture of iceborn gauntlet
Auto Attack = 3025.png
Also when a ability is between brackets like this (leblancchaosorb.png) it means you can use it to dodge skillshots if needed. [W, xS] Means you need to wait x seconds. [W, xS] + 3025.png means that you need to AA during that time.

Laning Phase

Poke:
leblancchaosorb.png -> leblancslide.png -> 3025.png -> leblancslide.png
Generic poke combo, the aa is a animation cancel as well.

Dodge Poke:
leblancslide.png -> leblancchaosorb.png -> leblancsoulshackle.png -> 3025.png -> leblancslide.png -> 3025.png
Useful when they throw a skillshot at you. You can usually AA them after the lock because they wasted a skillshot on you that is now on CD.

Quick Long Range Poke:
leblancslide.png -> leblancchaosorb.png -> leblancsoulshackle.png -> leblancslide.png
You usually want to use this combo when they have more burst than you and don't want to be close to them, but do want to poke. No AA this time because you want to get out quickly.

Super Long Range Poke:
leblancslide.png -> leblancmimic.png -> leblancchaosorb.png -> leblancsoulshackle.png -> leblancslide.png
Same as the Long Range Poke, just a bit longer though.

Level 3 Cheese:
leblancchaosorb.png -> [W, 2.5S] + 3025.png -> leblancslide.png ->  [W, 2S] + 3025.png  -> leblancsoulshackle.png -> 3025.png -> leblancchaosorb.png -> 14.png -> 3025.png
you usually want to do this after you poked down the enemy with 2 basic poke combo's. this combo packs around 6 aa's + 2 q's + 1 w + 1 e. at lvl 3 you should have around 33 AP and 60 AD. the average mage should have 30 armor and 30 mr (not including runes). This should be 23% damage reduction. Now lets calculate the damage of the combo. AA = 60x6 = 360, 2xQ = (110 + 26) x 2 = 272, W = 85 + 20 = 105, E = 80 + 33 = 113. The total dmg is 360 + 272 + 105 + 113 = 850 dmg with a reduction of 23% = 655 dmg. Ignite at lvl 3 = 110 dmg, so we have a total of 765 dmg. This is not totally correct since we didn't include armor, hp, mr from runes and masteries from the enemy and our own MPen, but with the calculations you can already see that this is quite a lot of damage. Use this combo when 1 of their abilities is on cooldown. Keep in mind that this is a really risky combo i like to use and it could turn the other way around if they have more damage than you early game (for example vs a AD matchup).

Level 6 poke:
leblancchaosorb.png -> leblancmimic.png -> leblancslide.png -> 3025.png -> leblancslide.png
Your ult has a low CD and no mana cost so use it as much as you can. Sometimes targets are too tanky to burst down at level 6, you should use your ult for poke then since the CD is around 30 seconds anyway and don't lose anything while using it.

Fast waveclear:
leblancchaosorb.png -> leblancslide.png -> leblancmimic.png -> leblancslide.png
If you want to back asap, use your Q on a cannon and then burst down the wave.

Last-Hitting:
3025.png -> leblancchaosorb.png
The Q cancels your auto attack animation and does around as much damage as a auto attack, so it's a nice way to last-hit a caster minion under turret.

All-In:
leblancchaosorb.png -> leblancmimic.png -> leblancslide.png -> leblancsoulshackle.png -> 14.png -> 3025.png -> (leblancslide.png) -> leblancchaosorb.png
Standard all-in Combo, nothing special about it.

Flash-Dodge All-In:
leblancchaosorb.png -> leblancslide.png -> 4.png -> leblancsoulshackle.png -> leblancmimic.png -> 14.png -> 3025.png
Its a risky combo since you could end up wasting your flash for nothing. Basicly you want to QW really fast on a target like Ahri or Lux, they will panick and use their charm or bind instantly. You flash instantly to the sidebecause you predict them throwing out CC. Now you throw your double chains, and because of how the scaling works, a mimicked E hits just as hard as a mimicked Q, so you dont miss out on any damage.

Bait All-In:
leblancslide.png -> leblancmimic.png -> 3025.png -> leblancslide.png -> leblancmimic.png -> leblancsoulshackle.png -> leblancchaosorb.png -> 14.png -> 3025.png
Use this combo when they play super safe and you need to bait out a cc.

Lockdown All-In:
leblancslide.png -> leblancsoulshackle.png -> leblancmimic.png -> leblancchaosorb.png -> 14.png -> 3025.png
This is a handy combo when your jungler ganks you and you want to lock down a slippery enemy midlaner like Ahri.

Teamfight

Standard assassination:
leblancslide.png -> leblancchaosorb.png -> leblancmimic.png -> leblancsoulshackle.png -> 14.png -> 3025.png -> (leblancslide.png)
Normally you can't just QRW on the carry because your W is pritty shortranged. That is why you W in and use your E to proc your QR.

Long range assassination:
leblancslide.png -> leblancmimic.png -> leblancchaosorb.png -> leblancsoulshackle.png -> 14.png -> 3025.png -> (leblancslide.png)
There are 3 uses for this combo. First possibility is to R onto the carry so you can secure the chain (for the people that are bad at hitting chains). Second possibility is to assassinate from a even bigger range for carries that stand a big distance behind the frontline (for example Twitch with ult or Azir with his soldiers). Third possibility is to chase someone down since the gapcloser is gigantic and you still hit them with CC, which makes them unable to escape. You could also use 4.png before or after R to cover even a bigger distance.

Golden Blowup:
4.png -> leblancchaosorb.png -> leblancmimic.png -> leblancslide.png -> 14.png -> 3157.png -> (leblancslide.png)
When you are unable to perform the standerd or long range assassination, you sometimes have to be a bit risky, this is when you use the golden blowup. Basicly you flash into a direction that gets you closer to the carry and instantly blow him up with qrw+ignite. Use zhonyas so you don't die in the middle of 4 enemy members. You need to use the zhonyas first because your W position still puts you up way too close to the enemy team, so you need zhonyas so your team can follow up and that way you can go back safe to your w after the zhonyas. Only use this in scenarios where you really need to win the teamfight (for example when your team is behind or it's the last teamfight in the game)

Golden Bomb:
4.png -> leblancslide.png -> leblancmimic.png -> (3157.png)
If you're pritty fed, you can use this combo to blow up every single squishy (if they haven't built a lot of MR) instantly. It's a pritty known combo and it can single handedly turn over a teamfight. You can also use your QE before zhonyas if the target isn't dead Here is a video of febiven winning the teamfight because he used the golden bomb without the zhonyas in the match of FNC vs AHQ in Worlds 2015. Here is the clip.

Peel:
leblancsoulshackle.png -> [W, 3S] -> leblancmimic.png -> leblancchaosorb.png
As Leblanc, you don't always have to assassinate. If you're not able to assassinate someone because it's too risky, peel for your carry. This combo gives a 3 second slow and a 3 second stun if you add it up, that's some pritty hard CC which gives your carry much more survivability.
