Like i said, this guide is to maximize the utility that lee sin already has in his kit so you would like to max the skills that allow gap closing, increase mobility and his survivability overall.

Starting Items

    classic first item for junglers

Core Items

    Warrior > Boots i assigned pink ward as a core item since it's mandatory for aggressive/defensive warding
    "IF" they have no CC (stun, snare, silence...) "Like 0" then buy this
    If you plan on going tank/ the enemy has a lot of tanks
    If you are snowballing heavily and need to gank 1-2 lanes consecutively
    If they have heavy AA comp

Passive

UNIQUE – DREADNOUGHT: Generates Momentum stacks while moving, up to 100, granting up to +60 bonus movement speed 
: Basically 3117.png = more map presence
UNIQUE – CRUSHING BLOW: Basic attacks(on-hit) discharge all Momentum, dealing +1 on-hit physical damage for every 2 Momentum discharged. If 100 stacks are discharged, damage is doubled to +100 and Slow icon slows its target by 50%, decaying over 1 second 
: In short, the more stacks you have, the harder you hit. Max stats = slow

: The main reason to buy this item is that it blocks critical damage, which is why it's important to buy it after 3742.png since late game AD carries deal a shit tons of damage

Guardian Angel

Passive

UNIQUE: Upon taking lethal damage, restores the greater of 700 Health or 30% of maximum Health and 30% of maximum Mana after 4 seconds of stasis. 300 second cooldown.
: Gives you a free pass for your mistakes so you can get away with being cheesy

Upon taking magic damage that would reduce maximum health below 30%, grants LIFELINE and LIFEGRIP (90 second cooldown).
UNIQUE – LIFELINE: Grants a shield that absorbs 300 (+ 100% bonus magic resistance) magic damage for 5 seconds.
: Good against assassin AP carries
UNIQUE – LIFEGRIP: Grants +10% spell vamp and +10% life steal until out-of-combat.
: Increases survivability in Team Fights

Reason I made this guide Back to Top

So I'm a lee sin main since S3 and i've found many builds that good but not perfect. And so recently the S6 world championships are played (October 2016 patch 6.20) and I've noticed that every game that lee sin is played, there is a similar build path that players follow that were like non other guide I've encountered. So i started digging:


First of all, almost every statistics site claims that lee sin is the 40th out of 50 jungle champ, is terms of dealing damage, so we go for max utility, instead of raw damage.

I searched for all Lee sin games won in the S6 World Championship and then I analysed all builds, runes, masteries one by one. And funny thing is that every pro lee player in the Championship had the same build, runes, masteries and I thought that I needed to make a guide out of this since its obviously the best way to build him.

Like i said in the author notes, this guide isn't to one shot enemy carries etc. You won't deal dmg much, you will be the utility man of the team and with scaling stats you wont have a bad late game compared to other builds. This will allow Lee to remain his early game pressure and kit while converting that into Utility in late game so he doesn't get out scaled and become useless.

I hope that I helped you to build lee and made you understand how and what I based this guide on, and the play style of the build.
