Summoner Spells Back to Top

14.png - To secure kills/good against team compositions that has heals

4.png - Escapes/Flashy plays

21.png - Lissandra's base movement speed is slow (325), so you can get harassed easily by burst champions that has an escape. This will be good for champions such as 7_64.png121_64.png91_64.png80_64.png84_64.png101_64.png38_64.png etc.

12.png - Good for counter-ganks or if you want that much more presence in other lanes when you decide to go gank other lanes.

Masteries Back to Top

Masteries are mostly based on personal preference, but this is the route I've decided on for Syndra.

Double-Edged Sword - This is really up to you, You'll do more damage but just be careful since you'll take more also.

Dangerous Game - Syndra kill potential is pretty high so this skill can proc a lot, and helps during team fights or laning to push.

Meditation - I personally don't like Meditation since I don't really need it but it helps during laning phase since your spells uses a lot of mana.

The rest is usually what are recommended for an AP page, you can consider taking Butcher into Feast if you need the health/mana back from creep kills and easy csing.

===================================================================

If you are against burst AP mid with BURST (45_icon_64.png7_icon_64.png and/or AD middle (121_icon_64.png64_icon_64.png91_icon_64.png80_icon_64.png62_icon_64.png59_icon_64.png) :

Syndra New Masteries BURST.png

You don't have to get Spell Weaving, but it's optional if you know how to rotate your auto attacks between your spells. You can take off some points for Meditation if you need the Mana Regen early. You can switch out some points for other points you prefer.

The leveling path of Lissandra is pretty self-explanatory. She has high mana costs for her abilities, kind of like Syndra; so don't spam too much!

Iceborn Ability.png

This has similarities like 20_64.png's passive but way longer. It's good during laning phase where you have to focus on farming, decent for team fights but you'll probably only have 1 free spell cast in a team fight. Not great but it's a mediocre passive.

Ice Spear Ability.png

Probably Lissandra's cheese spell, equivalent to 134_64.png's cheese spell but just weaker and can impair movement speed while costing A LOT of mana. Maxing this first would be the best option so you can dish out as much damage as you can. Take note that this abilities spell range is kinda short than other spells so you'll be in range for the enemy to potentially trade harass as well, but since shards can pass through the target it hits you can harass while standing behind minions; and the shards can increase the cast range of the spell.

Ring of Frost Ability.png

This ability is really good for ganking other lanes, having your jungler gank your lane for an easy kill or forcing the enemies flash; all in all it's a good ability with an instant root. Maxing this second would be a good choice since the ranks increases the root duration.

Glacial Path Ability.png

What makes Lissandra so capable of ganking other lanes really easily, initiating, or just traversing around the map. It does decent amount of damage as well, the claw range is really long and you can actually teleport pretty far away from where you started casting the spell!!

Frozen Tomb Ability.png

It's like a built-in Zhonyas for Lissandra or can deal a good amount of damage, stunning, and slowing enemies around the tomb. You can use it to either bait yourself to cancel a lot of damage from the enemy team, or initiate to stun and deal large amounts of damage to the enemy, while having a huge AOE slow which is good in team fights!

increased slow after the buffs make her a true ice queen - situational!
Really good on lissandra, helps with engages and cc.

Situational Items

3001_32.png - If the enemy team composition has Double AP (Mid/Top), this item will work very well against them, plus most of Lissandra's combo is close range, so you'll benefit a lot with this item if you need it.

3102_32.png - If the enemy team has AP burst champions, or CC that you don't want to be a part of. (45_64.png53_64.png32_64.png25_64.png

98_64.png etc.)

3151_32.png - If you want to slowly damage and burn their health down to burst and secure an easy kill. Would be good if you plan to rush a 3136_32.png.

3026_32.png - Very situational, if you want to be as defensive as possible, and having it give you another life while having 3157_32.png can make you a very tanky adversary. But I would just rather get 3157_32.png since you already have your ultimate.

3128_32.png - Using this before doing your combo will do a lot more damage like any other ap champion who has this item. You can buy it if you're ahead and just want to assassinate people.

3165_32.png - Morellonomicon is a really good item on Lissandra. Has 20% CDR, Mana Regen, AP, and Healing Reduction debuff at 40% or lower health. If you don't want to build 3174_32.png and you already have a 3070_32.png to rush into 3003_32.png and need the CDR but don't want to build Athenes, then 3165_32.png would be good for your build path.

3070_32.png - You don't have to build Tear on Lissandra. 3028_32.png into 3174_32.png is enough mana/mana regen for Lissandra if you know how to conserve your mana. I still think 3040_32.png is really strong so I usually build Tear.

===================================================================

Normal Route

Starting: Depending on the situation and who you're up against,  if you're rushing to 3070_32.png or 3028_32.png you can start  1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png. If against AD Mid: 1029_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png. If you prefer boots then 1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png.

First Buy Back: 3028_32.png (Magic Resist for defense, Mana Regen, a good starting item against AP mids), or get 3191_32.png if against AD mids. Or get 3070_32.png if you want to go a tear route, since Lissandra's abilities cost a lot of mana.

Middle Game: 3020_32.png3070_32.png1058_32.png1026_32.png after tear you'll probably start farming and saving up for a 3089_32.png. After buying deathcap you can progress onto getting 3003_32.png.

Core: 3020_32.png3003_32.png3089_32.png By this time it will probably be middle game progressing into late game. Lissandra is pretty strong early and middle game. You can decide if you need 3151_32.png or 3135_32.png depending how much MR the enemy has, or you can start building 3191_32.png eventually building up to 3157_32.png.

Final: 3020_32.png3003_32.png3089_32.png3135_32.png3157_32.png3151_32.png

Summary: You'll have enough mana to keep spamming your spells, whenever your spell hits 3151_32.png will proc and lower their health even more. You can use 3157_32.png easy baits and potentially even use Lissandra's ultimate on yourself for double Zhonyas. Everything else is pretty self-explanatory.

Situational: If you keep on getting focused in teamfights and/or need some tankiness you can get a 3027_32.png, just make sure to rush RoA as your first item if you need it. 3001_32.png is pretty good on Lissandra since you'll mostly be pretty close to the champion when you use your combos on them.

===================================================================

Chrispy's Route

**Keep noted that I'm using CDR runes/masteries, so I start the game with 20% CDR**

Starting: Depending on the situation and who you're up against, either start 1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png if you need to dodge skillshots, 2003_32.png2041_32.png2044_32.png if you need to out sustain the enemy, if you're rushing to 3070_32.png or 3028_32.png you can start  1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png. I personally like to go 2039_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png if I feel like I won't really have any mana issues and want the extra harass from having an Elixir, if you need to just play safe and poke i'll go the Faerie Charm start.

First Buy Back: 3070_32.png1001_32.png so you can start stacking your tear right away. Buy extra 2044_32.png2003_32.png if you need them.

Second Buy Back: 3108_32.png I usually get this to start building into Athene's. You can also get 1056_32.png if you have the extra gold and then start building into 3028_32.png to finish your Athene's; and/or you can rush Tier 2 boots 3020_32.png if you want that early movement speed and penetration. I only build Athene's because with the 20% CDR from Athene's i'll always be at Max CDR (40%) so I basically wouldn't need a blue or anything, and can just spam all day.

Middle Game: 3020_32.png3003_32.png3174_32.png - By this time you'll be finished with your archangels, and if you spammed enough you'll have the upgraded seraph's while finishing your Athene's. Once you finished Athene's you'll have the max cap of 40% CDR, so you can spam longer while having Seraph's give you additional Ability Power and an extra barrier.

Core: 3020_32.png3003_32.png3174_32.png3089_32.png By this time it will probably be middle game progressing into late game. Starting building a  3191_32.png and progress onto building a 3157_32.png for some armor and the active.

Final: 3020_32.png3003_32.png3089_32.png3135_32.png3157_32.png3174_32.png

Summary: Athene's help with dishing out more spells and magic resist for some defense, Deathcap for higher burst, Archangels (Seraph's) for the added barrier and +120 AP since you maxed your tear, Void staff to progress into late game and Zhonyas if you want to bait in teamfights. You will have 40% CDR combined with Athenes + your CDR masteries.

Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

Early laning phase you can poke 103_64.png with your ice shards and wait until jungler come ganks, and use your glaw + root and try to secure a kill or force a flash. Ahri won't really be a problem for you until level 6 when she can use her dashes to outplay you. But when you're both 6 you should have the upper hand since your ultimate can stun and slow her and give you opportunities for free damage. It's only easy because you have slows and you can root her into place if she tries to outplay you with her dashes.

In team fights she will do the same thing, poke around and wait until someone low and dash to try to get the kill, or try to initiate and dash + charm someone to catch them off guard and force a team fight. Just burst her down since you have a good team fighting ultimate and can possibly lock 2-3 people around your tomb.

VS

Akali

Medium
Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

84_64.png should be an easy match up as usual until she hits level 6. Try to harass her as much as possible with your ice shards and other abilities and try to get an early jungler gank with your claw + root combo.

Once 84_64.png is 6 it will get a lot harder since she has dashes now. But when she dashes on you, you can quickly root and start ice sharding her. You can even root + ice shard + claw away to a turret before she can be free again and dash at you for more damage.

In team fights she will generally go for someone low and burst them down and try to get her reset dashes to do as much damage as she can, while shrouding and juking everything else. If you can get a good vision on her you can use your ultimate to lock up 84_64.png and have everyone focus her before the root goes off and she forces a shroud.

VS

Anivia

Medium
Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

For 34_64.png she isn't that big of a deal early levels, try to harass her and get early jungle ganks before she hits level 6. Just dodge her ice balls and you should be fine and will only get damaged by her auto attacks if she wants to harass you. Just keep harassing her with your ice shards.

Once 34_64.png is 6 she will be able to lane clear creeps really fast, try to harass her as much as possible, you can't go to close or she will just Glacial Storm you and Frostbite for free damage. It's more of an outplay kind of matchup, once she is low you can claw in and combo and force her egg and secure an easy kill.

In team fights she will just be annoying and either wall someone off or ice ball stun someone that's out of position, she also has her Glacial Storm so most of your team will be slows. Once you use your ultimate on someone out of position or low health depending whoever is near that person they will be slowed then you'll just have to do as much damage as you can and hopefully your team can clean up the rest and kill whoever you stunned.

VS

Annie

Medium
Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

For 1_64.png she should be pretty easy for you until level 6. Use level 1-5 as your advantage and harass her; while going in with claw + root whenever the jungler comes for easy ganks since she has no escapes, you'll probably make her force an early flash, then come back and secure the kill.

When 1_64.png reaches level 6 it will be a little bit harder, if you're low you can try to time when she tries to go in and stun you. If you have good reflexes and caught her flashing and about to stun you, you can frozen tomb yourself to negate all her damage, then turn back on her and do some of your own damage.

In team fights she will try to use her Ultimate on as many people as she can, or just on one person that's out of position, try to be ready for it and use your ultimate on 1_64.png or someone that's out of position, you two can be the two champions that can start a team fight. If not just wait for the right opportunity to rush in and ult and dish out as much damage as you can.

VS

Brand

Medium
Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

63_64.png can probably do the same harass as you can. Try to harass behind your minions with your ice shards. He will keep on trying to pillar of flame and con flag whoever is burst to do additional damage to you. You can wait for early jungler ganks again and initiate with your claw + root + shard to do damage and force a flash or even secure a kill. Once you both are 6 you have the upper advantage, just try not to get harassed too much and make him go all in to try to kill you.

In team fights he will probably try to use his ultimate and hit as many enemies as he can, or use his pillar of flames and fireball to try to stun someone for his team to lead up the charge. Try to stun whoever is the most threat and slow the rest of the enemy team down and dish out damage while your team tries to clean up also.

VS

Cassiopeia

Medium
Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

69_64.png is probably the champion with the most lane presence and lane pressure for early laning phase. She will try to poison you and twin fang you as much as she can. Just try to dodge her Noxious Blasts so she doesn't have a change to do a twin fang resets on you. Her weakness is jungle ganks so having an early jungle gank and using your claw + root + shard combo to make her force a flash easily or even kill her.

Once you both are 6 it's whoever can get someone to low health first and go in for the stun that can win the fight. Since your stun is instant you should be able to win the fight. If you're low health she might use her ultimate and try to finish you off, and if you're facing her then you're probably dead.

In team fights she will try to save her ultimate for the perfect moment to stun as many people as she can, or just to catch someone off guard and just have the slow from the ultimate on them instead of the stun to try to have her team follow up and kill. Try to position yourself and use your ultimate at a good time where it can impact the fight the most.

VS

Diana

Medium
Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

131_64.png is like the same as 84_64.png, pretty weak until level 6. For levels 1-5 try to harass her as much as possible, early jungle ganks will help too since you can set up ganks easily.

Once you both are 6 she will try to be more aggressive and go in towards you, whenever she dashes towards you try to root her and get away while using your ice shards on her. When she's low use your ultimate and try to kill her.

In team fights she will either initiate into you guys and moonfall to disrupt and/or catch someone out of position, you can either lock Diana up with your ultimate and try to kill her if she doesn't have zhonyas. If she does have zhonyas then you'll have to use your ultimate on the next biggest threat and just kite/peel Diana off of you or the carries.

VS

Evelynn

Easy
Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

28_64.png should be an easy matchup laning wise since she excels at roaming lanes. If she is roaming lanes try to push your lane as much as you can and attack the turret, but also just be wary of where she might be running off to. Having 2043_32.png's in lanes and the usual warding spots is good to know where eve is going at all times. You shouldn't have that much of a problem against eve, just get early jungle ganks and you'll be fine.

At level 6 she can try to go on you with her ultimate, when she runs up to you, you can just root her and start doing damage to her. If you think you can kill her you can use your ultimate on her and try to finish her off.

In team fights she will try to come at the last moment and try to use her combo and finish someone off, if she does that you can either use your ultimate to stun her and have your team focus her before they die, or just save it for the right moment when someone is caught off guard or low health.

VS

Medium
Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

105_64.png will tend to be super aggressive and try to dash on you and land some auto attacks while jumping away when you try to do damage. When he does that to you just quickly root him and ice shard his face and even claw if you want for more damage. Even though you can just hop away baiting him to waste it and having your jungler come for an early gank would be really good for you.

When you both are 6 just try to dodge his shark if you can, if you cant and the shark is on you and you're low health, you can just use your ultimate on yourself before the shark does damage to you and have his ultimate be useless when he tries to go on you to do his combo.

In team fights he will try to initiate with his shark on someone off guard and/or to just start a fight. Try to focus the person with the highest threat and also use your ultimate at a good time if you have a good clear range to use it and have your team focus that person down.

VS

Gragas

Medium
Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

79_64.png should be a pretty easy matchup for you. Since he is melee ice shard him whenever he tries to go into melee range and/or auto attack; just punish him every time he tries to go in for a creep kill. Early jungle ganks will help a lot too but root him before he can body slam away and escape.

When you both are 6 you can use ultimate on yourself to make his ultimate do no damage if you see him throw a big barrel to your face; and/or just harass him until he's low and claw + root + ultimate + shard and dish out as much damage as you can before he dies.

In team fights he will generally use his ult to try to split off the team and push someone closer to his side so they can destroy that person. Try to use your ultimate on the person with the biggest threat to your team and just use your abilities and focus on the important targets.

VS

Jayce

Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png or 1029_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

Hard thing about 126_64.png is that he's like Nidalee 2.0 but more classy. He can do everything that Nidalee can do but it's more melee oriented. So early phase he will keep going aggressive towards you with his hammer and knock you away. When he does that you can try to trade back damage by rooting him and doing your ice shards; as well as using ice shards to the minions in front of him so the shards can hit him and still do damage.

Once you are 6 though you should have a little bit of a better advantage, make sure to get early jungle ganks to try to snowball your lane. If not then try to poke him until he's low then go in and do your usual ultimate combo to try to secure a kill.

In team fights he will just be like nidalee and poke in the back and then go all in to try to get a kill and repeat. Try to use your ultimate on whoever is the biggest threat and/or out of position and do as much damage as you can.

Consider getting an early 3191_32.png if you're worried about his damage.

VS

Karthus

Easy
Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

Karthus should be a pretty easy matchup for you. Most Karthus' just wants to farm and progress into middle/late game where they are the most strongest. Try to harass him as much as you can as well as getting early jungler ganks.

When you both are 6 if you're low health and he tries to requiem you can just use your ultimate on yourself if you need it to survive, or if he is next to you, you can use your ultimate on him to cancel his requiem.

In team fights he will tend to be the one that goes into all of your team and tries to do as much damage as he can before he dies, and then some more and even requiem too. There's always that good choice to focus a Karthus and a bad choice to focus him, try to find which choice will make you win the game and communicate through your team on what to do.

VS

Kassadin

Hard
Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

Basically you'll use this champion if you want to destroy Lissandra, as he can obviously beat most ap middles.

38_64.png is usually a hard time for anyone, since it's Kassadin. Try to harass him early game and get as many early jungle ganks as you can before he's 6. All he can really do to you is void sphere and run away and try to cs. Since he is melee try to punish him as much as you can whenever he tries to go in for cs.

When you both are 6 he will have the upper advantage by just teleporting and dealing damage to you and then running away again and again. He can also roam lanes and get easy kills because he's Kassadin. There's nothing really much you can do except to harass as much as you can to get him low and then try to do your ultimate combo to secure a kill and/or just roam other lanes and try to get kills for your team.

In team fights he will try to jump on whoever is low and kill them, then run away and repeat. You can use your ultimate on him if you're confident enough that your team can focus him before he can teleport away again, if not then use your ultimate on whoever is the other biggest threat.

It should be a pretty even match up early game, but you should have the higher advantage since 55_64.png mostly has to melee to farm her creep wave. Try to ice shard her and punish her whenever she tries to go in to cs. Your attack range is 550 so it's really easy to get some easy harass on her. You can lead in easily with your jungler and kill her or have her force a flash.

When you both are 6 it should still be really easy for you. If you feel like you're going to die and she starts to use her ultimate on you; you can just use your ultimate on yourself to negate most of her damage. If she's low you can finish her off with your combo as well.

In team fights you can save your ultimate for her ultimate if your team doesn't have any cc to negate it their selves, or just use your ultimate on whoever is the biggest threat depending on the situation.

VS

Kayle

Early game and levels 1-6 should be pretty easy for you, most of it is just free farming most of the time. Try to harass and ice shard the minions in front of her for easy damage. Early jungle ganks will be very good as well.

When you both are 6 you both basically have an immunity ability. You can either choose to do a bunch of damage to her by stunning her with your ultimate and killing her before she wastes her ulti; or bait her ultimate and then finish her off after.

In team fights she will try to use her ultimate on whoever you guys are focusing, you can save your ultimate to use on Kayle when she's about to save someone, or just use your ultimate right away as initiate to make her waste her ultimate and finish her off; really depends on the situation.

VS

Kha'Zix

Medium
Start: 1029_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

The only problem with 121_64.png is his all in at early levels of the game. He can all in you at around level 2-3 and that's probably the only annoying thing you have to deal with. If he's successful he'll keep on cheesing you and eventually snowballing. Since he his melee try to harass him whenever he tries to go in for a last hit.

When you both are level 6 you now have your ultimate to save yourself. Most Kha'zix does their abilities mid-air and will do huge burst onto you. You can use your ultimate on yourself before he lands everything on you to negate his damage. OR you can use your ultimate when he is low and try to finish him off.

In team fights he will try to make plays and either go invisible and poke one of your carries. You can deny this by using your ultimate on him and having your team kill him off; or just save it until anyone is out of position.

VS

Hard
Start: 1004_32.png2044_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png2004_32.png  or  1001_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

7_64.png is pretty hard for Lissandra because she's mostly an in-n-out champ. Does huge burst and then can just pop away easily and repeat so it's really annoying to go against her.

You can consider going MR quints and glyphs for that extra MR so you can survive her early game burst and still farm for your items. Try to get early jungle ganks since you won't really be able to kill her.

Once you both are 6 she will become even more burst but you have your ultimate to back you up too. If she uses her burst and you know that it will kill you, you can use your ultimate to save yourself. If she is low health you can use your ultimate on her and try to secure the kill.

In team fights she will just go in and burst a target and come out. IF she does that you can use your ultimate to root her in place and have the rest of the team destroy her before she can do anything.

Consider buying an early 1057_32.png, you can also make 3102_32.png later on or 3001_32.png.

VS

Lee Sin

64_64.png is only a threat if he lands his Q's on you, if he does then pray it doesn't do too much since he will Q+E and start to punch you down. Whenever he goes on you or lands a Q and charges at you, you can use your W and instantly root him, while running away and shooting ice shards. It's hard to gank a lee sin but with Lissandra you can set it up easily with your claw + root + shard for your jungler to quickly come in and get some damage to him before he safeguards; or even kill him.

When you're both 6 it will really depend on the player but Lissandra should have the higher advantage. When he's low you can use your ultimate on him and try to burst him down. If you're low and he's about to go in and use his ultimate on you, you can quickly ulti yourself and negate any high burst from him.

In team fights he will usually go in and destroy someones face, you can either choose to quickly peel for them using your instant root (W) or even just use your ultimate on lee sin and have your team destroy him.

Consider rushing 3191_32.png and eventually building up to 3157_32.png

For 99_64.png, she will mostly just be long range trying to kill creeps from far away and will snare you if you try to get close to her. Just try to use your ice shards on the minions if she's behind them so it can splash and damage her as well. When she's low you can wait until she misses her snare then go all in with your claw + root + shard.

When you both are 6, just keep harassing until she misses her snare. Then you can all in on her and probably make her force a flash or kill her. If not you can just push your lane and gank other lanes.

In team fights she will just always be in the back shooting spells off. If she gets out of position you can initiate and use your ultimate on her and have your team focus her, or just anyone out of position since your ultimate is a good initation into a fight.

25_64.png should be a pretty easy champion to deal with. Just poke her with your ice shards and if you get early jungle ganks just gank with your claw + root + shard to try to get a kill.

Once you both are 6 you'll still have an advantage. If 25_64.png tries to go all in and ults you, at the last second before her second tick of her ultimate goes off you can ultimate yourself to negate the damage if you want, or if she's low you can go all in on her yourself. This matchup is mostly of who can catch who first.

In team fights 25_64.png will try to flash + ultimate as many people as she can and bait out her zhonyas so she doesn't die before her second tick hits. Just try to use your ultimate on whoever is the biggest threat, it's really hard to say "Use your ultimate on _____" because it really depends on the situation.

The only real problem for 76_64.png is her spears, if you can dodge them you'll be fine. Early levels you should harass her before she's level 6 and has cougar form. Try to ice shard her and get close to her and use your root so you can hit her with another ice shard easily. Set up your ganks with your claw + root for your jungler.

Once you both are 6 she'll have cougar form. Whenever she tries to jump in and take cs try to go up to her and root her while using ice shard to harass her down. When she's low go all in and use your ultimate and try to secure the kill.

In team fights you'll mostly just have to dodge her spears, if she is out of position you can initiate for your team and use your ultimate on her and try to kill her off while peeling for yourself and the rest of your team.

61_64.png constant harass with her ball is the only thing that's pretty annoying when facing an Orianna. Just try to harass her with your spells as well while avoiding hers. Early jungle ganks will always help since she can set up ganks really easily.

Once your both 6 you have the higher advantage, get her to low health and then burst her down with your ultimate combo.

In team fights if the 61_64.png has good positioning with the ball she can use her ultimate and hit all of your team mates, if not and/or she's out of position you can use your ultimate to initiate the fight and kill her.

Start: 1029_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

80_64.png's super annoying since he can just run up to you and throw a spear, get you to low health, jump in and do his combo to you and easily kill you because of his passive. Try to stand as far away as possible from his spear range so you can't take any damage and try to farm with your ice shards. Your auto attack range is 550 which is really good so you can also continue to farm with your autos. Try to get early jungle ganks before Pantheon gets fed off of you.

When you both are level 6 you should have the higher advantage, when he's low try to do your ultimate combo and finish him off. He will try to roam around and ult down in other lanes to snowball his team.

In team fights he will generally go on someone and burst them down, you can either use your ultimate on pantheon when he jumps in and negate his damage for a short time, or use it on someone who is out of position. It really depends on the situation.

Consider rushing into 3191_32.png and then you can start with the usual build you want to use and eventually building up to 3157_32.png.

Medium

Start: 1029_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png2003_32.png

58_64.png is pretty hard early levels because he has so much damage early game. Whenever he tires to spin and go in on you root him before he can get his stun off of you, and just run away while casting ice shards at him. Keep on harassing him whenever he tries to go for cs. Early jungle ganks can help as well but he does have a little escape.

When you both are 6, 58_64.png will be more tanky since his ultimate gives him health, try not to get baited into it. When he's low just keep on trying to harass him, if you use your ultimate on him try to kill him before he can get his ultimate off; if he does get it off then you'll probably not going to be able to kill him so try to wait for ganks or go hard in the paint and make him waste his ultimate then go on him.

In team fights he will be pretty tank and will go straight towards you or the AD carry. Try to peel for both of you guys. He will fall off late game if he isn't fed or not building glass cannon.

13_64.png has small spell range for his abilities. Try to harass him with your ice shards by using your minions to your advantage and shredding him from far away, once he's low you can try to go in and use claw + root + shard combo. Or just set up ganks for your jungler whenever he tries to help you.

When you both are 6 you have the upper advantage due to your cc on your ult. If 13_64.png gets close to you and uses his abilities + ultimate to maximize his damage you can ult yourself which also deals damage to him and negate a big part of his burst on you; then proceed onto spamming your ice shards and ignite until he dies.

In team fights ryze usually builds tanky later on, try to focus him early if he is out of positioning, if he's in the back of the fight shooting spells and you can't really reach him try to get the nearest person that's the biggest threat. If not then you can charge in with your claw and try to use your ultimate on Ryze to start the fight.

50_64.png shouldn't be that much of a problem for you. Just avoid his snares and you should be fine. His other harass with his abilities still but just try to stay out of range and poke him with your ice shards. claw + root + shard when your jungler is nearly to set up good ganks.

When you both are 6 you still have the higher advantage. Make sure to bring 14.png so his healing from his ultimate doesn't do that much when you try to take him out.

In team fights he will just be that high-sustain champion. You don't have to focus him down and you can use your ultimate to focus on someone else like the AD carry.

VS

Syndra

Only bad thing about facing a 134_64.png is that she has constant burst with her Q, then if she has her ultimate she has one of the highest bursts in the game. Try to harass her with your spells while avoiding hers. Early jungle ganks is deadly against her since she has no escapes, since your claw + root + shard is an easy set up gank for your jungler to make her force a flash or kill her.

Once you both are 6 you should have the upper advantage, dodge her stuns and her balls and once she's low you can just go in with your ultimate and burst her down, her ultimate without her balls on the field is still a lot of damage so keep in mind of your own health and you both will just die and trade off each other. You can even bait her ultimate and use ultimate on yourself.

In team fights a good Syndra can land easy stuns to initiate the fight and use her huge burst to kill someone. If she's out of position you can lead the team fight with your ultimate and try to have everyone focus her before she can do anything.

Twisted Fate

4_64.png shouldn't really be a problem for you. He has very good wave clear with his cards but you also have good wave clear with your shards, so this can become a farming lane. Try to harass him with your ice shards and get early jungle ganks (Your claw + root + shard combo can easily lock him in place, since Twisted Fate lacks mobility, but can do everything else really good).

When you both are 6 he will try to use his ultimate and gank other lanes. Try to ward near areas that are close to the river so you'll know where he's going and alert your team. If you are too late then quickly push your lane and get some damage on the tower.

In team fights he will try to go in and pick someone off or just stay in the back and fling all the cards he can. If he is out of position use your ultimate on him and engage with your team, he will just be slowed to death and die. If you can't seem to get a good reach of him then you can Flash+Ultimate.

Twisted fate has abilities to recover his mana, you have high mana usage for your spells. Consider getting an early 3070_32.png or 3028_32.png; and a blue wouldn't hurt from your jungler.

45_64.png is only difficult because if you're not good at dodging the stuns he can damage you for free. Since Lissandra has a low base movement speed it will be hard to dodge those and really depends on the skill of the players. Consder rushing 3111_32.png to avoid not getting stunned for a long time. You can't rush and build high AP either since his ultimate will hurt you even more. Try to poke him and harass behind your minions since your Q can shard past the minions for additional range; and consider having early jungle ganks as well.

In team fights he will try to burst one enemy to death, run away, and repeat. Try to catch him off guard before he can attempt to burst anyone down. Consder buying a 3102_32.png later on to negate some of his damage.

101_64.png has a lot of burst when he turns 6. Early game just avoid all of his long range abilities and poke him back with your spells. Setting up for early jungle ganks would be great too since Xerath has no escapes.

When you both are 6 he will probably have more burst than you plus he can do it long range. If he goes up to you and stuns you with his E + ultimate, quickly ultimate him or yourself when that stun wears off and either go all in and kill him before you die or just ult yourself and use your claw to run away.

In team fights he will try to burst someone down or just burst the whole team with his ultimate. You can initiate with your ultimate on him and have your team focus him down before he can do anything. If he has Zhonyas then focus someone else.

The good thing about 127_64.png vs 238_64.png is that whenever Zed tries to go in on you, you can just root him and have free harass. During laning face try to harass him with your abilities as much as possible. Whenever he tries to go in for cs try to punish him for it. Early jungle ganks can help if you can set up your claw + root, but just know it's hard to gank a Zed since he has his shadow teleport crap.

When you're both 6, 238_64.png will try to go on you when you're low, when he uses his ultimate try to root him as soon as possible and run away while ice sharding him, so his ultimate damage can hit you without doing too much damage.

In team fights he will try to burst on someone whoever is low, and can get away pretty easily. When he tries to burst and go on someone you can initiate the fight with your ultimate and have your team focus him as soon as possible before he can teleport away. If he does then just focus on someone else.

115_64.png can just keep throwing bombs and keep harassing you over and over, but he has no escapes which is good for you besides his W if he can land it correctly. Try to set up for your jungler with your claw + root + shard combo to make him try to run away and force a flash, or kill him.

At level 6 he will have more burst than you but you should try to catch him off guard and kill him before he can use his burst on you. Get him to low health and then run in and engage with your Ultimate and try to finish him off.

In team fights he will try to use everything and use his big bomb ultimate to try to damage as many people as he can. You can initiate the fight by using your ultimate on him and having your team destroy him before focusing someone else, or just initiate on someone who is out of position; really depends on the situation.

143_64.png is only really annoying because of her plants, especially when she builds a 3151_32.png.

Early game just try to harass her with your ice shards, when she cant spawn anymore plants and have 0 plants, that's when it's time to go deep, and jump in and claw + root + shard then get out before she can lay plants again; just make sure to dodge her roots. Early jungle ganks will be really good since she has no escapes.

At level 6 you should be able to win the trade depending how much health both of you guys have. If she has low health try to go in with your claw + root + shard + ultimate + shard and and try to kill her before she can use her ultimate and kill you.

In team fights she will try to either initiate with her snare + ultimate. Try to not have your team get caught and if they do then you have to force a fight and use your ultimate on the biggest threat, AP or AD carry.

Teleport Spots Back to Top

Glacial Path Ability.png

Lissandra's claw ability makes it really easy for her to traverse around the map and can actually be a really good champion to gank other lanes and help them snowball. You can teleport almost anywhere you would like, but these are just some of the important spots you can jump to and gank for your team mates.

The buffs to Lissandra makes her a lot more stronger, in terms of lowered cooldown on her Q ability. Now you can spam more later into the game!

Lissandra's gameplay is similar to most AP middles, but since she has an instant root and movement impairing abilities you'll have to know when to go in and not be at risk of dying. Lissandra is one of those champs that you have to be cocky with (like Akali, Ahri). If you're too scared to go in, then maybe just stick with long range champions like Lux.

Lissandra's Base Stats.png

Lissandra's base stats are decent, her attack range is actually really long comparing to other mid champions. Only thing is that her movement speed is really low (comparable to Anivia, Ashe, Orianna, etc.)

Early Game

Focus on trying to cs and at the same time harassing the enemy. Try to ice shard the enemy's minions in front of the enemy champion so the splash from the ice shards can hit the enemy champion in the back. If you're not worried about getting snared or damaged you can claw + root + shard the enemy and then run away and repeat. Setting up ganks for your jungler with your abilities can really help win your lane.

So even if the enemy is behind their minions you can still hit them if you hit the minion in front of them with your ice shard. If you can't seem to kill the enemy with the help of your jungler or it's just not working out, you can push your lane and begin to roam and help/gank other lanes.

Middle Game

Lissandra's middle game is really good as well, and also this would be the best time to make plays in order for you guys to close the game.

Your ultimate can easily be game changing. If there's someone out of position and your team is there you can initiate using your ultimate on that person. Having them stunned for 1.5 seconds is enough time for your team to do enough burst to kill them and/or if not just make them force a flash. If the enemy team is around that targeted person they will get slowed and damaged from her AOE slow. With enough of your perfect ults you can easily close the game and/or have a free baron and be up ahead in everything.

Late Game

If you guys can't seem to close the game, Lissandra is still pretty good late game as well; all of her crowd control and slows can really benefit team fights, and that's what late game mostly consists of. Same thing as usual, if you see someone out of position try to initiate with your claw + root + shard, you don't even have to waste your ultimate since you have an instant root. Probably 1 or 2 good ultimates can make you guys close the game easily. Lissandra is really good at picking someone off and/or chasing someone down so the team can catch up and kill them.

About Me Back to Top

Hello! I'm DJ Chrispy and I play on the North American Server. I started playing halfway into Season 2 and was referred from friends. I have never played a style of gameplay like this before so everything was new to me.

I started to really enjoy the game and began to rank when Season 2 almost ended.

I was 2159 when Season 2 ended with Platinum in Solo Que, 3v3s, and 5v5s (Didn't have much time at all to go for Diamond) :(

I main AP middle, also love to play AD Carry. Decent at Support/Top/Jungle.
