Summoner Spells Back to Top

Summoner Spells

red_line.png

127.png Lissandra is a great champion and she can take a lot of different Summoner Spell combinations. When playing her, you should take the best set of Spells to give you the winning game outcome.

4.png Flash is the first Summoner Spell I would recommend on  Lissandra. Flash is a great Summoner Spell and can be used in a range of situations and scenarios. Flash is the most reliable Summoner Spell in the game. I would recommend taking it every time you play  Lissandra.

12.png Teleport is one of the main Summoners that you will be using and it can be used in a variety of ways. I would recommend using Teleport to get back to lane quickly and to help your other lanes out. In the late game, you can use this to your advantage and Split push.

14.png Ignite is a good Summoner Spell if you are comfortable in winning the lane. Ignite is good in the early game and laning phase to secure objectives and kills. Unlike exhaust, it is less reliable. Only take Ignite if you're comfortable in winning the lane.

3.png Exhaust is a good defensive Summoner Spell. If you're against an assassin champion, then I would recommend taking Exhaust. You should take Exhaust as it will completely take them out of team fights. If the enemy is mostly AD, then you can also take Exhaust.

6.png The final Summoner Spell is Ghost. Ghost is less reliable than Flash but it can be good in certain situations. Ghost will allow you to escape engagements and protect you. However, Ghost takes a while to get to its peak movement speed. So keep that in mind when taking Ghost.

red_line.png

I would personally recommend taking 4.png Flash 12.png Teleport in most matchups, but if you're comfortable then you can take any of the other combinations!

Rune Suggestions

red_line.png

127.png Lissandra is in a weird spot with the Rune system. I personally feel that Sorcery is a great Rune tree for her. This is because this Rune tree benefits her abilities and resources. You should take Arcane%20Comet.png?width=32 Arcane Comet as your main keystone. Arcane%20Comet.png?width=32 Arcane Comet is good as it will deal even more damage to enemies in the laning phase. As 127.png Lissandra has multiple skill shots for the enemy to dodge, taking Arcane%20Comet.png?width=32 Arcane Comet will force the enemy to dodge even more in the lane. This is just one reason why this Rune is good on her. The next Rune I think you should take is Manaflow%20Band.png?width=32 Manaflow Band. This allows you to get mana back when going for trades and using your abilities. However, if you're against a burst champion such as 134.png Syndra, 63.png Brand, 163.png Taliyah or 142.png Zoe, then you should take Nullifying%20Orb.png?width=32 Nullifying Orb. This will protect you against some of their burst damage. For your next Rune, you could take either Celerity.png?width=32 Celerity or Transcendence.png?width=32 Transcendence. Celerity.png?width=32 Celerity is good as it gives you bonus adaptive damage, however, it is not as reliable as Transcendence.png?width=32 Transcendence. Normally, you will take Transcendence.png?width=32 Transcendence as it gives you extra cooldown reduction. On 127.png Lissandra, we will not be building much cooldown reduction early, so getting 10% bonus cooldown reduction is good on her! Personally, I like Celerity.png?width=32 Celerity. For your final Rune you should get Scorch.png?width=32 Scorch. Taking Scorch.png?width=32 Scorch will give you some extra damage in trades and allow you to make trades go more in your favour.

red_line.png

For 127.png Lissandra's secondary Rune tree, I recommend that you take Perfect%20Timing.png?width=32 Perfect Timing and Minion%20Dematerializer.png?width=32 Minion Dematerializer. Perfect%20Timing.png?width=32 Perfect Timing will give you a "free" 3157.png Zhonyas in the early game, however it has a 1 time use and takes a while before you can use it. Minion%20Dematerializer.png?width=32 Minion Dematerializer is a very good Rune and will allow you to push waves quickly and apply pressure to the map. Unfortuantly, Minion%20Dematerializer.png?width=32 Minion Dematerializer only grants 6 minions so keep that in mind when taking this Rune. Alternativly, you could take Cosmic%20Insight.png?width=32 Cosmic Insight on her and gain the bonus cooldown reduction.

Abilities

red_line.png

Lissandra's Passive is Iceborn

127.png Lissandra's next ability periodically costs no mana. The cooldown of this can also be reduced by 1 second every time 127.png Lissandra applies CC to the enemy. This can be from her lissandraw.png W or lissandrar.png Ultimate.

liss1.png

red_line.png

Lissandra's Q is Ice Shard

127.png Lissandra throws a spear of ice in a direction which deals damage to the first enemy hit and slows them. If the spear damages an enemy, it then shatters gaining increased range.

liss2.png

Tips and Tricks

Your lissandraq.png Q is going to be your main source of poking in the early game. It has a rather short cooldown which will allow you to constantly use this ability. Even with your lissandrapassive.png Passive, this ability will run heavily on your mana resources. So, it is important to keep an eye on your mana throughout the game and when going for a combo.

In the later stages of the game, you should be able to one shot minion waves and quickly push them.

red_line.png

Lissandra's W is Ring of Frost

127.png Lissandra freezes all nearby enemies and briefly roots them.

liss3.png

Tips and Tricks

Your lissandraw.png W should only be used in trades or as a last resort in the lane. If you see the enemy coming forward towards you then you should use your lissandraw.png W and root them in place. lissandraw.png Ring of Frost is a great ability because it can push any gank back.

You can use your lissandraw.png W offensively as well as defensively. An example 127.png Lissandra combo would be lissandrae.png E + lissandraw.png W + lissandrar.png R + lissandraq.png Q or lissandrae.png E + lissandrar.png R + lissandraw.png W + lissandraq.png Q.

red_line.png

Lissandra's E is Glacial Path

127.png Lissandra casts a claw of ice that goes in a line forward dealing damage to enemies it passes through. Reactivating this ability will make 127.png Lissandra blink to its location.

liss4.png

Tips and Tricks

In the early game, you have to watch the map before using your lissandrae.png E offensively. This is because it is your main source to escape and not having it available can cost you your life. During the laning phase, you can quickly push waves with this ability and your lissandraq.png Q.

If you need to escape over walls or terrain, then your lissandrae.png E may be able to help you! Remember to recast the ability to blink to the position.

red_line.png

Lissandra's Ultimate is Frozen Tomb

Enemy Cast: 127.png Lissandra freezes the target champion and stuns them briefly.

Self Cast: 127.png Lissandra freezes herself for 2.5 seconds and becomes immune. She 7.png heals herself during the duration. Enemies that walk around her once she is frozen will be dealt damage and slowed.

liss5.png

Tips and Tricks

You can use your lissandrar.png Ultimate in a range of ways. If you are receiving an allied gank then you can use it to CC the enemy in place and allow your ally to follow up. Alternatively, if the enemy is ganking you, then you could use it on yourself to save yourself or use it on the enemy to escape. In team fights, you should use your lissandrar.png Ultimate on the enemy champion who is closest to you.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Like most Midlaners, we should tkae Doran's Ring Start.

Core Items

Your first core item is going to be Hextech Protobelt. This item is very good and will allow you to clear waves quickly, deal damage to the enemies and also get into team fights.
Your second core item is going to be Sorcerer's Shoes. These are the best types of boots on Lissandra because they allow her abilities to penetrate the enemy champions. I recommend these every time.
Your third core item is going to be Zhonya's Hourglass. This item is a must have on Lissandra because of it's active. In team fights, this item is a life saver and you need it. Grants a ton of AP and some defense.
Liandry's Torment is going to be your next item. I recommend this item because it gives damage, defense and magic penetration. These 3 things are needed on Lissandra!
Your next item is going to be Void Staff. As Lissandra is an AP champion, she needs as much magic pen as possible. This item will give her what she wants and needs to kill enemy champions!
Your last and final item is going to be Rabadon's Deathcap. This item is really good on any AP champion as it gives them a huge ammount of AP and will increase your current AP too.

Situational Items

Used to be good. Still decent but I don't like it. However it is still viable if you want to get it.
This is a newb trap. Don't purchase this item on Lissandra. It isn't valued on Lissandra.

Items

red_line.png

When playing 127.png Lissandra, you have a rather basic and generic build path that you will rarely change. However, in some games, you may want to change your build order. The same principle should be achieved each game in which, you get lots of AP and magic penetration.

Your starting item should always be 1056.png Doran's Ring. This item is needed for sustain and early game damage. It is a good item and is the only viable item out of all the possible early purchases. Your first core item is going to be either 3152.png Hextech Protobelt or 3157.png Zhonya's Hourglass. If you're against an AP champion, then take 3152.png Hextech Protobelt. If you're against an AD champion like 238.png Zed or 91.png Talon, then take 3157.png Zhonya's Hourglass. This is needed early because of the enemies one shot potential. 3152.png Protobelt is mainly used to clear waves and engage on the enemy, whilst 3157.png Zhonya's can be used defensively in every fight. Your second item is going to be 1001.png Boots. I recommend 3020.png Sorcerers shoes as your main pair. However, this build does have a lot of magic penetration, so you could get 3158.png Boots of lucidity instead for the extra cooldown reduction.

red_line.png

For your third item, you should get the other item that you didn't get first. So you want to take either 3152.png Hextech Protobelt or 3157.png Zhonya's Hourglass third.  For your fourth item, I would recommend that you get 3151.png Liandry's Torment. This is a great item for 127.png Lissandra because it will buff her defences and her ability to deal damage in trades and team fights. For your 5th item, you are looking to buy 3135.png Void Staff. 3135.png Void Staff is a necessity on practically all AP champions including 127.png Lissandra. I recommend getting this item 5th because it will give you more damage and more penetration in team fights. By this time of the game, the enemies will be rather tanky and will stack resistance. For your 6th and final item, you need to get 3089.png Rabadon's Deathcap. 3089.png Rabadon's is a very strong and item efficient item. You need to get this to deal even more damage in the team fights.

VS

Ahri

Hard

Ahri has major mana problems in the early game since her abilities cost a lot. The main offender is her Charm at 85 mana - step forward outside the minion wave or play aggressively in an attempt to bait her to use it as often as possible. She will quickly run out of mana after a few Charms.

Ahri has almost no pressure when her ult is on CD. Trading your ult to force her to use hers is always a good idea. Once you force her ult, which is a 110 second CD, continue to apply pressure to her and look for trades since she won't have a lot of options left to stop you.

If you're behind versus an Ahri, make sure to to keep track of her 110s ult CD. If it's down you can feel safe farming, but once it's up you need to try and farm close to your tower.

Try standing outside the minion wave so you don't get hit by stray Ahri Q's that are aimed at the wave. Ahri will look to all-in off of Q poke but if it never lands, she can't 100 to 0 you.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Anivia

Medium

Anivia's pre-6 laning is fairly weak. She has low waveclear and a poor auto-attack animation - pushing her under tower when possible will give you a strong advantage on her since she will drop a lot of CS under tower.

If Anivia's stun misses, look to all-in or trade with her, especially pre-6. Her Q CD is 12 seconds at rank 1, but if it doesn't land pre-6 then she has no way to proc the extra damage from her E. If it misses post-6 she has no way to keep you in her ult so her DPS suffers, therefore, she is defenseless when it's on CD so look to kill her.

Pay close attention to your positioning since Anivia will be looking to use her wall (17 sec CD) to trap you into an easy stun. As long as you play around this ability it's much harder for Anivia to score kills.

Make sure to have enough waveclear or sustain to keep up with her constant pushing power post-6. Attempt to make plays when you notice her mana getting low or deny the enemy blue buff to help you maintain a stalemate where she cannot pressure you.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Aurelion Sol

Easy

Aurelion's only defense before level 6 is his Starsurge stun that has a 10 second CD. Whenever that ability is down, Sol has no way of dealing with champions that can get on top of him.

Aurelion naturally pushes all the time but has no reliable escape. Coordinate with your Jungler to punish Aurelion for shoving in the early game.

He will be looking to roam a lot and impact the map. Make sure to get vision around mid lane or a yellow trinket in the middle of the lane so you can warn your team of his roams as early as possible.

Try to set up ganks with your Jungler by using your E + W + R Combo on him.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Brand

Medium

Brand often uses his W which has a 10 second CD as his main source of waveclear - it's also his main source of damage early on. Look to harass him while it's down.

If he ever uses his Q for poke, look to immediately all-in or trade into him because it's his only way to defend himself. Bonus points if you can do this away from the minion wave post-6 so his ult doesn't bounce to you.

Brand's burst comes from the combination of landing 3 abilities that trigger his passive Blaze. As long as he's not able to trigger Blaze, he won't be able to kill someone during an all-in.

Avoid standing close to the minion wave to prevent waveclear abilities like his W or his E from hitting you as well.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Diana

Easy

Diana applies the most pressure when she lands her Crescent Strike (Q) allowing her to get off multiple dashes with her ultimate. Dodge her Q and her ability to chase you down will be extremely limited.

Diana's shield has a 10 second cooldown - after you see her use it to push a wave, look to harass her because she has no real way of fighting back pre-6.

Stay away from minions that have the Moonlight passive on them post-6, Diana will look to R to them for a free gap-closer into a trade.

Diana has zero mobility outside of using her ult on minions or champions. If you ever see her use her Q to farm, step up and fight her. Be ready to dodge the next one mid fight by using a dash or Flash if needed because as long as her Q's don't land, she does no damage.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Ekko

Medium

Ekko will try to use his ultimate at critical health. Try saving your CC when he's low, you can try to punish him for holding onto his ultimate at very low HP.

As long as his E is down, you don't have to fear an all-in from him. Make sure to keep track of his E CD, which is 8 seconds at rank 1, and look to harass him when has no way to fight back.

Ekko will be looking to land his Parallel Convergence from fog to score a kill on you. Do not fall for this trick - when you see an Ekko missing be prepared to dodge it.

Ekkos like to hard shove the wave and roam in farming scenarios. Make sure to ward well around mid lane to stop his attempts of killing your teammates.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Ezreal

Easy

Ezreal is weak in the early game but don't get too overzealous trying to harass him out of lane - Mystic Shots add up. Harass him but always make a point to use minions as cover so it's harder for him to fight back.

If you can sidestep his Q as you walk up to him for an all-in, he has no way to defend himself aside from running away with his Arcane shift. Be ready to Flash his ult or use your Ultimate if needed because it's his only true form of burst early game.

He has weak waveclear so stand inside your minion wave while shoving him in to avoid his poke damage from Mystic Shot.

Try to dodge his abilities with your E or your Ultimate. If he uses his E to get closer to you, use yours to escape.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Galio

Easy

Galio tends to spam his abilities for waveclear in the early game. If you can step up and zone him after he uses his Q, Winds of War, he will drop a lot of CS.

Remember that he has a non-combat ultimate so he is much weaker in duels. Look to fight him right after he burns his Q on the minion wave so he won't have damage to fight back.

His gank assist is something to be feared, especially his taunt + Flash combo. If you ever see the Galio charge up his taunt and a Jungler appears, the likelihood that he will Flash is extremely high, so be ready to Flash away yourself.

His objective is to push the wave and look for roams. Try your best to keep up with his waveclear and be ready to move out to help your team whenever he has his ultimate, Hero's Entrance, up.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Jayce

Hard

Jayce's Acceleration Gate has a 16 second cooldown in the early game - don't sit back once you see him use it. Instead, look for a kill since he'll be missing his escape and a good amount of damage potential.

Jayce has 6 abilities to play with, but they cost a lot of mana. To make him go OOM quickly, try to bait them out by forcing him to poke you back

Keep the minions between you and Jayce to stop his poke damage. However, do not stand on top of them because the splash damage will still hit you.

Jayce players like to go into the Fog of War and then hit you with an E + Q combo. Avoid this play pattern and you'll be able to stay healthy enough to farm.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Katarina

Easy

Kat's damage output and mobility comes from the daggers she drops on the ground. Make sure to stay far away from them so you don't give her easy trades, or chances to close the gap on you.

Freezing against Katarina can deny her ability to all-in you and cause her to miss a lot of last-hits. Her only way to last hit from range is Bouncing Blade, which has an 11 second CD at rank 1.

Shunpo has a 14 second second at rank 1 if she doesn't pick up a dagger. If you notice her use it without the ability to pick up a nearby dagger, look to all-in her since both her escape and main sources of damage will be gone.

She will look to all-in you as soon as she completes a Cutlass or Hextech Gunblade. Until then, you're fairly safe to farm out against her since she won't have much kill pressure until she gets one of these items active slows.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Kayle

Medium

Kayle's biggest weakness in the early game is that she doesn't have enough CDR to keep her Righteous Fury (E) up permanently. You have a 6s window after her E runs out before she can reactivate it. Prepare yourself to engage Kayle just a second or two before E times up so you have the maximum window to punish her.

She has no escape tools, so if you catch her without her ultimate, Intervention, which has a 100 second CD do not hesitate to kill her.

She will almost always shove you into tower - avoid fighting her so she isn't given the chance to dive you under tower. You'll be safe due to her low range and her inability to freeze well.

Kayle will often look to hard shove you into tower. Be mindful of the splash damage - avoid standing in the minion wave and you should be safe to farm out against her.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

LeBlanc

Easy

Leblanc's damage primarily comes from her passive. As long as it does not proc, she will never kill you. The most common ways she uses it are by hitting you with W and then waiting to hit you with Q, or by using W forward into landing her chain. Watch out for these combos - once they've missed, retaliate because she'll be out of good options in terms of trading back onto you.

If LeBlanc uses Mimic, she won't be able to use it as an extra escape. This is a good time to fight - her options for damage output or retreating will be very limited.

Respect her kill pressure whenever she has Mimic up (54 second CD at rank 1). She can easily set up her Jungler, or even look to use Ethereal Chains on you twice for a solo kill. Whenever you see her use it, be ready to Flash the first chain or you will die.

Her waveclear is weak, she's often forced to use her gap closer, Distortion, to help her finish off a wave. Look to push her in as much as possible to reduce her offensive capabilities.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Lux

Easy

Lux's E provides good poke, but her real damage in the early game comes from auto-attacks that proc her Illumination passive. Do your best to dodge her E as it will proc comet( if she chose it), but even if it lands, the most important thing is to stay out of her auto-attack range. You can re-engage the Lux after 6 seconds and the passive wears off.

If you notice Lux miss either Q or E, step forward to punish her since her damage output is quite weak and she cannot effectively fight back.

Lux will look to hide in the Fog of War in an attempt to land Light Binding (Q) into her full combo. Whenever she disappears, don't fall for this trick and stay away from walls to give yourself more movement space.

Stand outside of the minion wave to force Lux to choose between poking you or pushing out the wave. This will leave you open to farm in a much safer manner.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Orianna

Hard

Look to harass Orianna when her ball is far away from her. It's hard for her to shield herself at the right time since she'll have to account for the delay it takes the ball to travel. The other added bonus is that Orianna gains flat armor and MR when her ball is on her, meaning your poke will also do more damage during this window

Whenever Orianna loses her Flash, her mobility is severely impacted. When this happens, time your all-in so that you go in as she throws out her Q when she attempts to poke or farm. This will allow your initial burst of damage to connect before her defensive stats from her E come in.

Orianna players will look to bully you with a Q and W combo. Stand in your minion wave to reduce the Q damage and try to dodge the full combo whenever it's up (9s CD, but watch CDR items), then look to CS while it is on CD.

When farming out against Orianna, the most dangerous thing you can do is be within auto range. If this happens, she will look to slow you with her W into hitting you with autos, followed by ulting you back into the slow for more autos. Due to Orianna's passive, Clockwork Windup, she will be able to kill you or drop you to very low HP from this combo even at max HP.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Teemo

Easy

Swap to Sweeping Lens when laning against Teemo and be active about clearing his mushrooms. You can use it mid-fight to disable any incoming mushrooms. As long as you don't run into random traps, you should be safe to farm against him. When in doubt, run along the path your minions take to lane so they'll act as mine sweepers for you.

Pre-6, Blinding Dart (Q) is Teemo's only real defensive tool and lasts 1.5 seconds with a 8 second cooldown. Time your trade or all-in right as the blind is about to expire to get the maximum value out of your aggression.

To snowball against Teemo quickly grab a Control Ward to place it in the river along with a Sweeper right at level 6. This will allow you to keep the river clean of Noxious Traps (R) and help your Jungler gank. Once you take away the usefulness of his ultimate, he is much less effective and slightly less annoying.

Teemo players love using his passive, Guerrilla Warfare, to camp random places in the lane or in nearby brushes. When they are ahead, they will commonly pretend to Recall to set up an ambush on you. It's best to always second guess whether or not he is truly gone.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Vel'Koz

Medium

Whenever Vel'Koz uses his E, a knock-up, he his only self-peel option. Look to all-in him during its 16 second cooldown. Once you're on top of him, it becomes very difficult for him to use his ultimate.

Vel'Koz is a pure skillshot champion. Look to dodge his Q by standing in the minion wave and quickly stepping out from the wave to dodge his W, which he often uses to heavily push you in. It's a bit of a dance where you dodge in and out of the minion wave but if you get boots early on it makes the whole process a lot easier.

Getting hit by Vel'Koz's Tectonic Disruption (E) knock-up or his Q slow will result in getting destroyed by his ultimate Life Form Disintegration Ray (rank 1 CD 120 seconds). Grabbing early movement speed to help you avoid getting hit by these combos is strongly advised.

Vel'Koz's waveclear abilities are amazing and he will likely be able to out shove you in a farming situation. Look out for him using fog or brushes to launch poke from while you last hit under tower.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Xerath

Medium

Fight Xerath in close combat whenever possible. His stun (Shocking Orb) lasts longer the farther away you are from him, ranging from two seconds at max range to 0.5 at point blank. His ultimate (Rite of the Arcane) needs to be channeled while he stands still, making it very hard to use in melee range.

Xerath has moderately long cooldowns early with 14 seconds on his Eye of Destruction (W) and 13 seconds on Shocking Orb (E). If you see him miss or waste one of them, it's a good time to all-in him since he'll be defenseless and very squishy.

Xerath's passive, Mana Surge, gives him mana back on proc when he autos minions, but gives double when he hits a champ. Make sure to pay attention to when it's up so he doesn't get the bonus mana. He will quickly run out of mana if he attempts to continue to poke you.

When behind against a Xerath, try to buy tier 2 boots ASAP and come to lane with at least one potion. When trying to dodge his poke, make sure to go for last hits after he uses his spells since they have a long CD.

Tips provided by Mobalytics. https://mobalytics.gg/

VS

Yasuo

Medium

If you're reliant on projectiles, play around Yasuo's Windwall, which has a 26 second cooldown. As long as you're not using your ultimate, you can safely use your projectile to bait out Windwall without committing. When your abilities come back up, abuse this window timing. You can also keep the wave close to your turret which will inhibit Yasuo's ability to use his dash for mobility and allow you to trade more aggressively.

Yasuo is like a gnat when he's behind. He may be mobile and annoying but at the end of the day he can't actually fight back and escape. If he overextends and you want to fight, make sure to focus and step forward past the wave so to cut off his escape route.

Play cautiously and let Yasuo push the wave to just in front of your tower but not under it. Yasuo will have a hard time using minions for mobility and trading which will give you breathing room to farm and harass safely.

Keep Yasuo under tower or stay close to your tower when trying to just farm out, it will greatly limit his ability to use minions for mobility. Be wary of taking the option to push into his turret because it will often open you up to ganks.

VS

Zed

Medium

The major cooldown you should play around is his ultimate, Death Mark, which has a two-minute timer at rank one. While it is down, you are free to farm and trade on him as much as you like since he'll have little kill pressure.

Zed's Living Shadow has a 22 second cooldown at rank one, but is reduced by two seconds every time Shadow Slash lands. When it's on cooldown he has no escape and cannot poke very well, so play aggressively on him.

Laning against Zed is about dodging his poke. The best way to not get poked down into kill range is to avoid getting hit by both Razor Shurikens during his W-E-Q combo as you do not want him to also get the Electrocute proc off. To do this, step diagonally as you see it come out, and then quickly change directions. Standing in the minion wave also helps as the Razor Shurikens do reduced damage the more units they pass through.

When trying to farm out against a Zed the key is to not get poked down into kill range. Play around his Living Shadow, which is a 22 second cd at rank 1, while also standing inside the minion wave to reduce his Razor Shuriken damage.

Early Game Back to Top

Early Game

red_line.png

The early game for 127.png Lissandra is pretty simple. Your main job is to farm and poke throughout the early game and get items in preparation for the mid to late game where you’re at your strongest. If you’re in a good matchup then laning should be no trouble, however, if you’re against a horrible matchup then it’s going to be relatively hard.  Until you get your first item, you will be trying to avoid long and extended trades. Instead, you want to just poke with your lissandraq.png Q and keep a distance.

Because you are relatively weak early, in some of the toughest of matchups such as 91.png Talon, 238.png Zed or 55.png Katarina. Once they come in to you, use your lissandraw.png W and back off from them.

Thanks to 127.png Lissandra’s kit, she can safely farm from a distance and also set up ganks for her team.

Mid Game Back to Top

Mid Game

red_line.png

The mid game for 127.png Lissandra is where she is stronger and really shines. Thanks to your kit and your abilities you should have no trouble finding chances and team fighting. You will also have upgraded 1001.png boots by this time so you can roam and help other lanes. If you’re ahead of the enemy then I recommend that you try to push your advantage and go for trades whenever you can.

You can quite easily split push as you can push them quickly with your lissandrae.png E + lissandraw.png W + lissandraq.png Q combo. If you didn’t win lane, you can still push effectively. I recommend pushing and clearing waves whilst also looking for opportunities where you can 12.png teleport or roam and help your team.

Your mid game is practically the same as most mid lane AP champions.

Late Game Back to Top

Late Game

red_line.png

In the late game, 127.pngLissandra should be looking to team fight with her team. Ideally, you and your team will be on the same page and you should have no trouble team fighting. Thanks to your kit, you can either go in and lissandrar.png ult yourself or go in and lissandrar.png ult an enemy. Alternatively, if you’re not comfortable in being the front line you can peel for your team and deal damage to the enemy’s frontline. You have a lot of CC in your kit. Use it on the enemy who comes in to fight you.

A little tip for 127.png Lissandra: In team fights, you can use your lissandrae.png E to get into the team fight and use the lissandrar.png ultimate on yourself (ALT+ lissandrar.png R.) This will make you unable to attack or be damaged. This is something you want. If your team is not quite in the team fight yet, you should then use 3157.png Zhonya’s straight after. They will then be in the team fight and help you.

However, 127.png Lissandra is also good at flanking in team fights. So you could try to do that if you wish.

Pros and Cons of Lissandra Back to Top

Pros and Cons of Lissandra

red_line.png

Whilst 127.png Lissandra seems like she is a very good champion, she does have some pros and some cons to her. Here is a list of what makes her good but also bad.

red_line.png

Pros:

  • Gives her some sustain with her lissandrapassive.png Passive.
  • Good poke in the early game and in team fights.
  • You can quickly push waves with your abilities.
  • You have 2 CC abilities which are very helpful. Your lissandrar.png Ultimate and your lissandraw.png W are very useful.
  • Your lissandraw.png W and lissandrar.png R can stop an enemy gank.
  • You can use your lissandrae.png E offensively or defensively.
  • Rather good in team fights with her AOE abilities.
  • Good at peeling for her team and also one shot the enemy.

Cons:

  • Her lissandrapassive.pngpassive is relatively weak because it only gives you 1 ability.
  • Easy to run out of mana even with your lissandrapassive.png passive.
  • Very skill shot reliant.
  • Low mobility even with her lissandrae.png E.
  • Cannot roam as quickly compared to top pick Mid lane.
  • Hard to play from behind.

Combos Back to Top

Combos

red_line.png

127.png Lissandra’s kit is quite unique. There are not many champions with 2 forms of CC and not many of them have the same amount of poke as she does. Here is a list of combos that can help you improve your game!

red_line.png

lissandrae.png E + lissandraq.png Q | This is a combo you will mostly use to push waves and poke the enemies.

lissandrae.png E + lissandraw.png W + lissandraq.png Q | This is a combo that you will use when you’re against a ranged champion. You want to check that the Jungler is not nearby before using this combo.

lissandraw.png W + lissandrae.png E + lissandraq.png Q | Example combo when the enemy is melee and jumps onto you. This combo is very good against champions like Diana or Talon.

lissandrae.png E + lissandrar.png R + lissandraw.png W + lissandraq.png Q | This is a full example combo. I would recommend using this if you’re receiving a gank from an allied champion.

lissandraw.png W + lissandrar.png R + lissandrae.png E + lissandraq.png Q | This is another example combo if the enemy jumps onto you.

lissandrar.png R + lissandraq.png Q + lissandrae.png E + lissandraw.png W| Another example level 6 combo. This combo will be used if the enemy miss-positions to far forward.

As we can see, there are quite a few different combos you can use on 127.png Lissandra!

Tips and Tricks Back to Top

Tips and Tricks

red_line.png

You should go in for trades or engagements when the enemy wastes a core ability. If you cannot match the enemies roam then you need to push the wave. You can do this with your lissandrae.png E + lissandraw.png W combo. You can use your CC abilities offensively or defensively. In the laning phase, you can use an ability for free without the mana costs. I recommend that you use the costliest one. You should play around your lissandrapassive.png Passive and use your combos when it is up. This is because it will save you mana. If you need to escape an enemy gank, you can use your lissandrar.png ultimate on the enemy champion and escape with your lissandrae.png E. Alternatively, you can use your lissandrar.png Ultimate on an enemy, your lissandraw.png W on the other and escape with lissandrae.png E. Your lissandrae.png E is a gap closer, you can use it to escape by reactivating it. You need to consistently poke with your lissandraq.png Q during the laning phase and abuse its range. If you’re against a melee champion, you need to bait their escape abilities and then go in on them. You can use your lissandrae.png E to get over walls and terrain. Thanks to your AOE abilities, you can easily steal the enemy Junglers raptor camps. If you take 12.png teleport on 127.png Lisssandra, be prepared to 12.png teleport to help your team. Casting your lissandrar.png ultimate on yourself will grant you some 7.png healing and damage to the enemies- you can use this to your advantage in team fights.

Team Fighting Back to Top

Team Fighting

red_line.png

In team fights you will be predominantly fighting who ever comes and engages on your team. As 127.png Lissandra has multiple CC abilities she can do this quite easily. One of her jobs is to deal damage and peel for her team. She can do this because of her kit.

In team fights, you need to poke and keep poking until the fight is over. If you are able to one shot the enemies, then you could use your lissandrae.png E into them, and then cast your lissandrar.png Ultimate on yourself. However, it is important to note that your team needs to be around to follow up. Because 127.png Lissandra is not a tank and can die quickly in team fights. You need to poke and focus anybody who comes close to you. Remember to keep using your abilities throughout the team fight. In some cases, you will be the teams only source of poke.

Team fighting for 127.png Lissandra is pretty simple. Try your hardest to deal as much damage as you can, get as many kills as possible and finally, help your team survive the team fights by using your heavy CC abilities to protect them.
