Master Yi is weak in early, especially ganking before you got your ult , so take Thunderlords for more effective ganks.

You can go for other key masteries but in my opinion Master Yi is already OP in late, so I prefer Thunderlords for a better early game.

I prefer getting W

at lvl 2 for better jungle sustain (more information in the "jungle routes" section.

Passive

- every 3rd AA hits doubled, nothing more to explain

- Master Yi´s Q is important, its a gap closer and you can try to dodge many spells, such as stuns, slows, etc.

- it´s cooldown is decreased by 1 second for every autoattck you do while its on cooldown

- don´t use it if the enemy is in AA range! You need it to dodge stuns and so on.

- The W can be used as AA reset or to heal you, pretty good in early jungle and in late for better sustain.

- You also get less damage while using your W

E

- Passive: just more damage

- Active: true damage! activate it in fights but remember that your passive is on cooldown too after you used the active!

R

- activate it for ganking and of course to chase enemies down

- the cooldown isnt that high, just use it!

- you can´t be slowed while using it

- kills and assists make Highlander last longer!

Starting Items

standard start items, I like the refillable potion as you already have good sustain with your W and dont need 3 health potions
if you prefer 3 helth potions, take them

After your 3 core items you can build pretty much evereything that makes sence, here are a few examples I prefer
in the end upgrade your stinger to nashors tooth

Situational Items

vs heavy ap (build it after your 3 core items if possible)
if you feel to squishy (after your 3 core items, not before!!!)
if you are fed and if you are like me and just love this item ;D

Why blue Devourer?

- I recommend the blue jungle item

because you have no CC without it

- and of course devourer

because you are Master Yi :D

Why Stinger?

I really like that build as you have an - compared to other Master Yi builds - early power spike because Stinger

just costs 1200 Gold. When your inventory is full you in the end upgrade stinger

to Nashors

which gives you more AP damage on hit, so its pretty useful.

Jungle Routes Back to Top

Start where you want, I prefer to start at the Gromp. Clear that camp and go to the first Buff, clear that camp and rush the second buff. After that you should still have a good amount of HP, so you can gank very early if any lane is pushed in very far.

You also can make your whole jungle camp after camp if noone needs help on his lane.

Why skill W second?

You also can skill your E

after the Q

but i really like to skill W

second because you have just so much sustain, you can do it before each camp, maybe you have to wait a few seconds but its worth as you can stay in the jungle forever and gank more often.
