Summoner Spells Back to Top

4.png  - Flash

Miss Fortune requires superior and crucial positioning. Flash acts as an escape, setup, chase...you already know!

14.png - Ignite

In the early game, Miss Fortune has no problem zoning, harassing, and dealing tons of damage. However, it's hard to finish them enemies without ignite. Highly recommended spell.

Masteries Back to Top

Standard 12-18-0 Mage Masteries. A few adjustments to maximize your early game potential.

Thunderlords Decree: It is so easy to proc thunderlord's decree with her E. The sole reason why her early game is so nastyyyy.

Fury vs Sorcery:

+Sorcery: A traditional AD Miss Fortune would need attack speed. However, the main source of damage will come from abilities.

Double Edged Sword vs Feast

+Double Edged Sword: Because Miss Fortune's kit makes her very safe in the backline so this mastery is nice! Additionally, this will make her a much stronger bully during laning phase.

Vampirism vs Natural Talent:

+Natural Talent: Both could work theoretically because she will be dishing both AD and AP. However, i'm pushing towards Natural Talent simply because it's raw stats. Spell Vamp + Life Steal won't mesh well with her AoE abilities.

Bounty Hunter vs Oppressor:

+Oppressor: You'll immediately be dealing 2.5% increased damage from your E. If you're confident about getting 3+ unique kills, you can grab Bounty Hunter. However, I don't like the gamble.

Secret Stash vs Assassin:

+Assassin: Every bit of extra damage helps her snowball in lane. Combined with other damage boosting masteries, this is very potent.

Merciless vs Meditation:

+Both Viable: The only reason I grab Merciless is because I tend to have trouble finishing off enemies. The extra boost can be the deciding factor between a kill and an escape. Meditation is viable because this build does not have any mana regen items. Just know that I have never had mana problems.

Precision vs Intelligence:

+ Unlike pure AD champions or pure AP champions, Miss Fortune uses both armor penetration and magic penetration. She uses every bit of this mastery. If you want, cooldown reduction is also good.

R > E > Q > W

This is the general skill priority. I've never been in a situation where I need to change the order.

missfortunepassive.png - Love Tap (Passive)

This passive is niceeeee. You deal bonus physical damage by switching targets every time you auto attack. The sound effect also sounds nice.

+Helps with last hitting/cs. Since you're not AD, your auto attacks are as good at an AP Mage (not good).

+Helps with harassing enemies. Sequence: Love Tap enemy -> Love Tap minion -> Love Tap enemy -> Rinse&Repeat

Tip: Don't gain minion aggro, it won't be worth it. Just faking out the enemy is enough to deny him/her cs.

missfortunericochetshot.png - Double Up (Q)

This is like a powered up auto attack. Has both AD and AP ratios that's converted to physical damage.

+Not only does it scale with both AD and AP, it applies to on-hit effects which is exactly why AP Miss Fortune works.

+Has great synergy with the many items that we will be focusing on.

Tip: If you the first shot kills the target, it'll chunk the shit out of the second target (hopefully the enemy champ).

missfortuneviciousstrikes.png - Strut (W)

This used to be her unique passive but I like the tweaks they made for Miss Fortune and added Love Tap.

+The passive grants nice out of combat movement speed that is good for roaming, rushing, and retreating. Movement speed is honestly very overpowered but people don't seem to realize it. Nowadays, every new champion has some sort of mobility and that should be a waking call.

+The active grants temporary movement speed and attack speed whether or not you are in combat.

Tip: Although this is more ideal for AD Miss Fortune, missfortunepassive.png on different targets to reduce the cooldown on Strut.

Tip: If you've just been slowed, use Strut immediately to "negate" the slow by compensating using fully activated movement speed.

missfortunescattershot.png - Make It Rain (E)

LETSSSSS GOOOOOOOO! This is your signature move that'll make your enemies cry, afk, or /ff.

+Strong base damage with a 80% AP RATIO!!

+Built in slow that has great synergy with your ultimate.

+Nice range so that you can be safe in the backline.

+EASILY procs your Thunderlord's Decree.

Tip: Spam the shit of this early game in lane levels 1-5. Just don't miss it because you'll be in mana debt really fast.

missfortunebullettime.png - Bullet Time (R)

Call gun control because you about to fuck shit up.

+This is the dreaded ultimate that puts clustered enemies to shame.

+Has both AP and AD ratios that is converted to physical damage.

Note: To be completely honest, this won't be as strong as your Armor Pen Miss Fortune. The AP ratio is only .2; the main sources come from your other abilities. With that said, Liandry's Torment will most definitely help compensate the lack of ultimate damage. AND I think you'll find out that your lack of ultimate damage is not a problem.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

    if you're feeling daring

Core Items

    Hextech -> Sheen -> Boots
    CORE

Situational Items

    Common items i personally pick
    less common but completely viable
    cookie cutter end game

Miss Fortune's build isn't exactly going for straight AP. Although her abilities do having AP scaling, not all of her abilities deal magic damage. There's a certain order that'll maximize your snowball potential.

The following build that I will be addressing is not necessarily an AP attack speed Miss Fortune. I would deem this sort of build as a hit-and-run tactic. The main focus is to get a really really strong lead early game and snowball.

Item toolbox is not working for me so I will finish the description of all the situational items at another given time.

Starting Item:

Doran's Ring: Standard start for most AP midlaners. This will help you out a little bit with mana management.

Dark Seal: 99% of the time, I can easily secure a kill before I even hit 6. I rarely get Dark Seal as a first item but you'll have no problem snowballing early. If anything, get this on your first back because it helps by strengthening your potions:)

Essential First Core:

Hextech Revolver: This is actually one of the most op items for early game. Seriously, the unique passive can really dent an enemy every 40 seconds. It also works with your missfortunericochetshot.png so you have to grab this ASAP.

Sheen: Amazing synergy with Hextech and Double Up. It's cheaper than the last time I remembered.

2nd Phase Core:

Lich Bane: Delicious damage. This has cooldown reduction, movement speed, some mana, and a nice on-hit passive.

Boots of Lucidity: The only reason why we cannot get Sorcerers Shoes is because only her missfortunescattershot.png does magic damage. Cooldown reduction will help her all around.

Liandry's Torment: Great for DOT abilities such as missfortunescattershot.png / missfortunebullettime.png. You should notice a spike in damage, despite not having the most AP. Also note that since Make it Rain has a built in slow, the HP-shredding passive doubles:))
