Summoner Spells Back to Top

The Summoner Spells used for AD Nida are very situational, BUT... that being said, as a top laner TP Flash are your default choices as it allows you to be more global, TP Ignite is only used if you are vs a lane you know you can dominate and if you know you won't be roaming / using tp to help your team, Barrier / heal + Flash are only used if vs a hard match up like Darius, even then TP is usually better.

Masteries Back to Top

This is a basic top lane bruiser page, but works well on AD nida due to Fervor of Battle

Your primary spell to max is E, This is because it's great sustain for laning + the ats steroid early is great for poking down your enemy laner, if you're vs a squishy laner and you have high kill pressure, stick some more points into Q for your cat form Q , creates great damage and usually catches enemy laners off guard.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Your basic start, Dorans provides a nice amount of dmg early to your autos for last hitting and harass
Good for when you're vs a laner that can out sustain you or you can just poke all the time, the burn effect can also make the difference between winning and losing a trade in lane
this is only for when you're vs laners that can shove you in fast or can just straight up kill you early, refillable saves you god in the long run and the cloth is just there for extra def + it builds into iceborn

Core Items

this will be your ideal first back, if you're winning lane and need more dmg, start building the phage into a tri force, if you're vs a tankier laner, build it into black cleave instead
Choosing between these 2 is important. NEVER get both, the sheen procs do not stack and is just a waste, get Tri force if you're ahead and want to try snowball, and get Iceborn if you need to kite or need the def, 9 times out of 10 you will likely get iceborn + black cleaver
if you need MR , Get one of these: Get Hexdrinker if you are going for a assassin role, it's shield is great and can later be upgraded into maw Get Abyssal if you feel you need more ap dmg / healing to stay in lane or if they have a lot of MR on the enemy team due to its aura Spirit visage is great, it boosts your self sustain while making you tankier love this item
These items are your ideal armor items Iceborn is just great, gives armor + helps with kiting due to the sheen Hourglass allows for bigger heals, a bit more dmg from your spells and a on use invulnerability, Frozen heart is good vs ats % based enemys like vayne, randuins is good in all other situations that you may need armor for, GA is a 2nd life... , Thornmail is a nice option if the enemy AD wants to focus you all the time
This build is all about the dmg, it allows you to burst down enemy carries with ease , while also melting tanks with the % dmg coming from Lord Dominik's + Blade of the ruin + RageBlade, while still giving you a nice amount of kite with iceborn and cleaver
All round hybrid ish build, good def, good dmg, Downside it falls off in the late game
    Great items to consider
Ideal build if you're going even with the enemy team

Situational Items

The build for AD Nidalee will change every game you play, like most champions should, the only things that you will most likely keep the same is the Spirit visage, it gives great sustain and def vs mage's.

With the current changes in 6.9 to mage's and the addition of AP items, i have found building rageblade vs champions like malphite to be surprisingly good, it adds great wave clear and pressure in the lane

the build order for rage blade would be, iceborn - Boots - Rageblade + ???? <-- def items

VS

Aatrox

Easy

You should never lose this lane 1v1, no excuse, you out poke him, range him, sustain him, and dominate him, you can also easy zone him from farm with your traps, place traps around his cs and lane so if he steps on one you can use it to reset your pounce for easy herass

VS

Cho'Gath

Medium

this can go either way, use cat form to jump out of rupture, if you land a spear try pounce in and do dmg and then pounce out as he tries to rupture

VS

Darius

Hard

He outscales you in every way, just stay safe farm from tower and call for ganks if he over extends, you will likely lose 1v1 to a Darius so try not to feed and do the smart thing, it can get boring but literally turn the lane into farming simulator

VS

Dr. Mundo

Easy

Blade of the ruin derp and GG

VS

Gnar

Easy

Blade of the ruin derp and gg, don't engage him on mega Gnar

VS

Hecarim

Medium

So, this lane gets weird Pre 6 , you can bully him with ease he still out dmgs you in a straight up duel, but with lane harass you can wither him down, after 6 he starts to win lane he becomes much tankier than you and his ult completely shuts you down

Build iceborn and get swiftness boots and if you get a good window of opportunity pre 6, call your jungler in and get a kill, other than that stay safe farm from tower and use your tp to secure dragons

VS

Irelia

Hard

Irelia will destroy you if given chance now, the changes in season 6 has made her much more powerful than ad Nida, much like hercarim , stay away from her and just farm from afar

VS

Malphite

Easy

no change for malphite, just poke him down, auto him so he doesn't get his shield up and use bush vision to your advantage , ward Tri brush and Rift herald to prevent ganks as Malphites R is a great setup for you to be ganked

VS

Maokai

Hard

Too tanky, he is way too tanky for you, he can out sustain you under tower, so pushing him in is not a good idea, his W % dmg scales too well for AD nida to handle early, and his wave clear can leave you under tower early on into the game, you NEED help in this lane, either get your jungler to gank you a couple times, or just roam in between siege waves to pick up kills mid

VS

Olaf

Medium

Olaf does a ton of dmg to you, but you are quicker and out range him, dodge his Q's as much as possible and be annoying as possible with your autos early on,

VS

Pantheon

Easy

Poke him all the time, anytime his passive is up, auto him. any time he goes to cs, auto him, if he goes to W you, put a trap under yourself before hand, this will apply your passive so you can cat form W-Q then W away for a easy trade

VS

Renekton

Easy

No issues, he does a lot of dmg, but he can keep away from him at all times while still autoing him down, lvl 6 gets a little tricky but you shouldn't have trouble with the correct mindset and itemization

About me ^_^ Back to Top

well not much to tell, ive never realy got high rating or been "pro" at league, but ive played alot of AD nida and had alot of fun with her to think i can make a guide on her :) although if you want to hear from a pro i would say look up RF legendary this is just a item / masteries / runes guide :3
mechanics are all based on experience and cant be taught so i suggest Bash your hearts out and spam dat nida baby

Wall hops Back to Top

Wall hops will save your life, its a great way to juke and poke people from places they cannot reach, and is also a great way to escape

i did not create this video, but it does show the walls nidalee can hop over using her W in cougar form

Mind set Back to Top

i see so many people on league with toxic and flame attitude, this is negative do not be like them, just cause you're having a bad game or someone is feeding on your team, doesn't give anyone the right to be abusive or sour.

Keep a positive mind set and think about what good comes from the situations you're in.
If you die in a teamfight , look at your positioning or your build, and then look at the enemies build / positioning , no need to flame your team cause "they didn't collapse or peel for you", if you die most of the time its your own fault, there is always something that could be done better.

if you have a toxic player on your team, instead of replying to them and trying to reason with them, just mute them, no good comes from reading there comments, it just distracts you and forces you to go on tilt. do your team a favour and mute them

just remember... its only a game.... no need to get mad over spilled milk, if you lose, take a break. watch a youtube video. practice csing / wall hops in a custom match, then queue again with a relaxed mind :)

If you win , good job you did it, you won the game and gained some LP, but no need to type "gg easy" :3 that doesn't help anyone and just makes you look like a jerk

Warding Back to Top

27151f16b2c2190486920759adc6009cede14aae WARDING!!!! I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH! WARD!!!!

Warding will save you more than any def item, any summoner spell , and any call out from your team, in a game where fog of war is always present, you want as much vision as possible, keep a pink ward in Tri bush at all times, and your trinket in river as much as possible, this can prevent you to getting ganked and feeding kills to your laner / enemy jungler, if you think its a trap when you go to ward, scout it first with your Q or W in human form, there is never any excuse for dying due to lack of vision, you can and should prevent it at all costs

Laning Back to Top

In the laning phase you should focus on farming and using your TP to gank bot / secure dragons.

Make sure to keep your river and tri bush warded at all times and to call if your laner goes missing, even if you know he has recalled.

Time the enemy summoners!
If you force a flash from your laner make sure to ping or type F rapidly into the chat with timestamps on!, this will give information to the jungler and can setup a easy kill if you deny vision

Make sure to communicate with your team as much as possible with valid information, there is nothing worse than having your laner tp bot and get 2 kills cause you didn't call that he had tp off cd, it many situations that act alone can snowball your lane and even the game.

Securing dragon with your tp is very important, you can split top while your team starts dragon, then tp in once the fight starts, this will allow you to keep pressure in a far lane forcing someone to recall to deal with the mess you're making, or sacrifice a tower. Meanwhile you still have tp to help your team even if a fight does start.
if someone does recall to go top and stop you TP to dragon and force a fight as it will be 4v5 in your favor.

Mid game Back to Top

In the Mid Game, you want to make a choice, are you either going to split and be a thorn in the enemy team forcing someone to come top and deal with you, or are you going to roam

If you decided to split make sure to ward.. Warding is crucial to a good split, force as many objectives down as you can just by pushing a side lane. if your tp is down, do not split, you will need tp to help your team in fights / objective securing. you do not want to be at top lane without tp while the enemy has 5 people at dragon, it leaves your team at a disadvantage and will likely force your team to forfeit dragon

If you decide to roam, be sure to try snowball other laners, help mid get a few kills where you can, counter jungle and ward deep into the enemy jungle to deny jungle pressure, and roam with your jungler to help bot
Just because you're roaming it doesn't mean you should ignore your lane tho, keep a eye on it to see if anyone starts pushing it out. you don't want to have minions destroying a side lane while you're roaming and objectives are coming up,

play smart!

Late Game Back to Top

Depending on how your Laning and Mid game went, late game is usually where ad nida starts to fall off

You will focus mainly on taking down the enemy adcs / apcs, or if you had a bad early game and mid game and was forced to take a tankier / ap role, you should be focusing on peeling and healing your adc, so that he can do the dmg without the worry of him / her being deleted from the fight

Make sure to ward around baron, your support can only place 3 wards, do not leave all the responsibility to him be a team player, and keep possitive

Conclusion Back to Top

I do not claim to be the best Nidalee or top laner, but that being said, i hope this helps anyone who want's to start playing nidalee top be sure to leave a comment saying if the guide was helpful or even if it was bad :3

i intend on keeping this updated and fresh as possible and to keep adding information to this as i come across new things
