Summoner Spells Back to Top

Flash can be capital to help you repositionning, or combining it with your quinne.png spell : flashing in and knocking your ennemies back into your support, or your allies in teamfight.

As an advice, don't overreact and use heal for nothing, try to save it for securing the first blood, or the last second before you or your support dies (because God knows how much Adc's forget to help their supports).

Ignite can also be an alternative, because you can place everything on the first blood, and try to go in in the early levels and it can be a great tool for that.

What is also interesting to take so as to use Quinn's incredible mobility is the Ghost summoner spell, because it has a lower cooldown than flash and if used effectively is a great tool for every situation.

Masteries Back to Top

Since the nerf of Warrior's Bloodlust, I like to take Deathfire Touch for extra Dot (Damage Over Time), to help you with those early trades.

You could also take Thunderlord's Decree, but you would lose that early game lethality that's really crucial in laning phase.

These masteries (i.e. Greenfather's Gift and Battle Trance) also allow Quinn to use all of her burst potential, and deadly use of brushes !

Since the rework of Quinn, the main ability has changed from your quinne.png to your quinnq.png, since it does more damage now, but it also applies your passive, which is your best tool for poking, and dealing damage in general.

It should then become the ability you max out first (After your ult of course), then comes your E, and finally your W.

Alternatively, you can also choose to level up your Q at level 3 instead of quinnw.png, since it doesn't really help you much, but then again, the active is quite good to avoid a gank, or look out for an early Drake. The passive also brings extra movement speed after activation of the passive, which helps with your trades early game, and also chasing late game.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

    Classic.
Ward wisely the bushes, keep it if it is not necessary. Help your support by also warding the river/River bush.
This is an alternative build, because it brings more gold (That you absolutely need), still damage, and a form of life steal.
This could help to start an item (Hello Death's Dance), but you would lose the extra life steal that you have with the other starts

Core Items

(No particular order) This is what an ideal game build should look like, if you know how to position in team fights, and if there aren't any assassins threatening to one-shot you.
You can take the elixir when you have enough money, and you are full build, and you can either take the Oracle to help destroy the ennemy vision, or bring more vision to capital points with Farsight

Situational Items

If you're feeling cheeky, then don't worry replacing one of your items by this.
If you need to split push, or backdoor, then this is the ideal item (since now there is no valor form, you can use that as much as you want)

Berzerker's Graves can be replaced by other boots, but these are the one that you should have, considering they bring Attack Speed, and although it might be interesting to have 3117.png to go faster with your ult, I think that it is just silly, because it brings nothing but MS (Movement Speed).

You could just as well replace the boots by a 3046.png, because you probably have enough movement speed, and also it has that great passive.

Critical Chance is a key element on Quinn, because it now reduces the cooldown on the passive, which is really a key element of your kit.

Oracle might seem like the better option late game, considering your insane movement speed given by all of your passive items, and your infinitely lasting ult, because you can explore the whole map and destroy so many enemy wards.

Unfortunately, if you are in silver division like yours truly, Oracle would be virtually useless, because no one wards.

What I personally do is I buy Death's Dance first item (by starting with one longsword and 3 pots) and then it really depends on the ennemy composition.

  • Varus

  • Vayne
    Easy

VS

Caitlyn

Hard

Caitlyn is quite a horrible champion for Quinn, since she just simply out ranges her, and has ridiculous abilities, because she can get away back to safety with her E, and continue attacking with the Q, the autos, and the ult

VS

Draven

Easy

Draven is not the hardest matchup, since Quinn's Q can deny his vision and he might have trouble retrieving his axe because of Quinn's Q, or E.

VS

Ezreal

Medium

Ezreal can easily make your life in the Botlane horrible, since he can just play safely and poke you from a distance, and E out when you're too close.

To help with that kind of champion, you could go with a good Blitzcrank/Thresh/Leona to make him eat CCs

VS

Jinx

Easy

Jinx is quite weak against bursty Adc's like Quinn, since a lot of her kit revolves around being able to poke from a distance, and Quinn can deny her from doing that thanks to the E.

VS

Kog'Maw

Easy

His lack of mobility makes him vulnerable to you and particularly your E, because since Kog'Maw needs to be stable to be putting DPS, you can just toss him around, and it is going to be a real pain for him

VS

Miss Fortune

Medium

It's not the hardest matchup, but if you meet a Mf, try to stay far, because she would poke you from afar anyway, and when you have 6, engage with your support.

VS

Tristana

Medium

Playing against a Tristana is like playing against a Miss Fortune, you should stay safe, and then go in with your support.

VS

Varus

Hard

You will have a very hard time winning a matchup against Varus, if you see one, just play safely, and try to stay away from his abilities.

VS

Vayne

Easy

You're Vayne's hardest counter, because of your knokback, you can doge her E, or deny her A.

Your Friend Supports Back to Top

Quinn works especially well with very high CC-based champions, like Leona, Nautilus, Blitzcrank, or Thresh. But she can work quite well with very high damage based bursty supports like Annie, Karma or Brand even.

I personally prefer having Thresh with me, because he puts Great amounts of CC, and as well as quite a lot of damage.

Don't hesitate on helping your supports by buying Pink Wards, or putting your trinket in key places, to prevent Ganks, get vision on the enemy jungle, have vision over Drake, or even put it in bushes in your lane, to prevent any "surprise intervention" from the enemy support or Adc.

I would also like to point out that Nautilus and Quinn go extremely well together and if you are duo queuing Adc/Support, you should probably ask your supp to take Naut.

Quinn from the beginning to the end. Back to Top

If you have a premade support, you should tell him to pick Tresh, Nautilus, Leona or Blitzcrank, because Quinn is squishy and she's very good with Hook champs.

You should use your "Passive + Auto attack + E + Passive + Auto attack + Q + Passive" combo for poking. It's the MAIN poking combo... Use it all game long.

Don't hesitate on taking the Rift Scuttler if you have the occasion, and if your jungler is not against it, because it brings gold and vision to a key area of the jungle.

After farming and making some kills, you should recall with 1300 g to come back to lane with 1038.png, or 3133.png, to have a bit of Cooldown Reduction.

You should try to get as much kills as possible in the botlane, but many kills do not mean that you should not concentrate on last hitting, and making that sweet farm money as well as the money you get from killing.

Remember that you are extremely helpful to the team if you manage to one-shot the enemy Adc (Or at least kill him without any problem), so you should put an emphasis on laning phase.

When you get your ult, you can roam between lanes at a speed that not a lot of enemy midlaners or toplaners expect, so you can come quite fast to any lane and help your team, get an assist for yourself, or even get a kill or two

You can easily carry your team by split pushing or carrying, (because Quinn can travel really fast to reach the enemy base), in teamfight, by isolating the enemy carries and burst them down.

Quinn Solo Lane Back to Top

Even though this is an Adc Quinn guide, I have to adress the question of Quinn Solo Lane and particularly Quinn Top.
First of all, I am not against it, but I think that there are some things you need to know about Quinn before considering going Top with her.
Quinn is one of (if not the best) duelist in the game, thanks to her awesome spells, that work especially well with melee damage dealers or bruisers that usually go top these days.
I recommend you seeing a good Quinn Top guide (sorry, it is not my specialty), and hopefully you can play her.

I hope you liked the guide, if you did, please leave an upvote and a comment, and if you did not like it, then leave a down vote, and explain why you don't like it in the comments (if you could keep it classy, without insults it'd be great)

This guide is going to be updated everytime there is a minor change to the game (masteries, etc...) and also if Quinn is changed

Yes. I am in Silver division, but I've been understanding Quinn since she came out, and she has no secrets for me.
