Summoner Spells Back to Top

The most common combination of summoner's is the 11.png4.png combination!

Those summonerspells both are mandatory for her to be a) a jungler and b) to do her awesome knockup engages and stuff like that!

Using other summoners isn't good on her and I would highly recommend to always run this combination!

Masteries Back to Top

Ferocity:

Fury - The Attackspeed will help us clearing and just gives us a little more strenght earlier on, also our abilities are mostly attack focussed!

Double Edged Sword - It's basically just a mandatory Mastery for each kind of melee jungle champion, it helps to make better use of Rek'Sais early-game. - Now with 6.12 even better than before!

Natural Talent - Just for some more power, we don't make any use of sustain due to Rek'sais amazing jungle sustain!

Opressor - It's really powerfull especially early on because we are going to have redbuffs in the early-/midgame and we dont need any kind of DMG scaling for later!

Resolve:

Recovery - Help's us to stay healthy all game long!

Explorer - It's just to be as fast as we possibly can, also it works well together with air dragons and other movementbuffs that we might get out of combat.

Veteran's Scars - Just another tool to make Rek'Sais early game as powerfull as it gets! - Really powerful on 6.12 huge buff gotten to it!

Insight - This is very mandatory on each jungler that uses the defensive route of the mastery tree's! It helps you to set up engages as often as you can and stuff like that!

Swiftness - Just super powerfull together with Swiftnessboots for example, but also if you didn't get those to go with Ninja tabies or merc's this will help you to be less affected by CC and is mandatory for Rek'Sai!

Strengh of the Ages - A very powerful tool if you use it right and it also makes you alot stronger early on if you are good at getting those stacks!

Why do we max those, and what we get from that?´

Maxing Q:

We go to max our Q ability reksaiQ.png "Queen's Wrath" for the damage that it provides just as the jungleclear!

Going E second:

Some of you might say now, that you saw pros on the stage max their reksaiW.png "Burrow" (W) second but that's not what we do!

This is a guide mostly based around the SoloQ-/Normalgame aspect for League of Legends we are NOT going to be a "knockup-bot", we want to help impacting and carrying the game alongside our team!

Because of that we max our reksaiE.png "Furious Bite" (E) second, it provides the highest amount of DMG after the Q and helps us to have easier objective control because we can use it at 100 energy to make it deal true DMG so we just end up using it to help us smite and to do DMG to camps or champions!

W as the last spell to max:

We are going with W last because we dont get much from it, other than some additional DMG on the enemies nearby just as some Movementspeed what doesnt give it enough value to max it.
We have Tremor Sense anyways, on Rank 1 just as on Rank 5 of our reksaiW.png!

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

    Start Items
We buy that after we did our 3 camps
Try to buy that after ganking

Core Items

    CORE ITEMS
USUALLY 3d item against mixed comp
    Usually 4th against mixed comp
    Always 5th
    AGAINST MIXED COMP IF AHEAD
    AGAINST HEAVY AD COMP
    AGAINST HEAVY AP COMP
VS AD COMPS THAT DONT REALLY CRIT BUT ARE SLIPHERY

Situational Items

GOOD IN MOST CASES AS LAST ITEM IF AHEAD (NO MATTER WHAT ENEMIES RUN)
You can either get both or go with MAW if ahead and banshees if you need to prevent beeing oneshot
    HEAVY AD COMPS
    VS AD COMPS
    VS CC AND AP COMPS
usual game with mixed dmg without heavy cc
That's a very good item that you could add for the Banshees/SV if your team has none and you badly need it. It's possible even worth as second/3d item!

Why so many different builds?

I recommend you to follow the builds for most comps because it's very likely that especially players on lower elos don't know what to build in what situation!

Why do some comps against ad's that dont crit not have a randuins in it?

For example is a 3143.png "Randuins" very bad against some team comps that only run Champions that don't have a huge amount of crit, or that don't need to be kept together!

Why Banshes and SV?

Also 3102.png"Banshees" will probably not do the job that 3065.png "SV" does because they are somewhat similar, but actually very different items!
You can surely buy both without feeling bad, because SV will make your reksaiW.png "Burrow" alot stronger because it's highers your regain.
While Banshees on the other hand mostly only provides HP, MRES as well and a Passive, that prevents you from beeing bursted out or hooked because it provides a Shield that takes the first ability thrown at you!

Why can't I buy titanic after BC?

Also stacking DMG is very bad, what means that buying 3071.png "BC" into 3748.png "Titanic" might as well prove you alot of HP but it will not give you what you need to be a tanky frontline that deals DMG while beeing the first man in!

Why not more DMG-Items as option other than those 3 or 4?

Rek'Sai is not really a Carry-Jungler, she's a 'CONTROL-JUNGLER* that's why she has somewhat less DMG than some other alternatives and that's why stacking DMG on her is mostly bad!
For example can some Champions go and buy a 3078.png "Triforce" or something like 3153.png "Botrk" or even a 3142.png"Ghostblade". But those items are not going to help you playing Rek'sai playstyle correctly, nor is her ability-kit any good for using those!

VS

Amumu

Easy

Just kill her, nothing much to say, she get's a bit annoying once she has her Ult but she will kinda stay no problem.

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Ekko

Easy

Just kill him, go after and invade him as much as you can, once 6.11 is going live this champion will be very horrible.

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Elise

Easy

She's evenly strong as you in the earlier stages of the game, the biggest adventage that you have is your tunnels!

She has a very high amount of burst DMG, dont get to surprised if she opens on you and you loose quite a bit of health, keep in mind that her follow up DMG will be really horrible afterwards!

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Fizz

Easy

~______~

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

He's a horrible champion to deal with a jungle Rek'sai but in my opinion pretty strong once he starts scaling up!

VS

Graves

Easy

He will probably out do you by lengths because he has a really absurd amount of DMG and lategame scaling, don't invade or fight him unless you have a perfect setup of vision and followup by your team!

He cannot keep up with your clearspeed early levels, neither can he deal with your ganks so just do that and let him do his passive to little agressive early game play style that is not even comparable to Rek'sais ways to impact the game!

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Hecarim

Easy

He's very fast at moving around the map but if you provide a little bit of vision and keep track on him he will not become any kind of a problem.

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Jarvan IV

Easy

Didn't really meet any Jarvan's lately, but what i can say is that Jarvan also has a very large variety of gankingpaths to use, but he cannot deal with you in any stage of the game. He is not a big problem.

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Kha'Zix

Medium

You can probably not duell him once the game has gotten into the mid-/lategame phase but you can outduell him early on.

Following the fact that Kha'Zix probably has the highest single target DMG of all junglers if somebody is isolated just avoid duelling him once he's lvl6 +

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Kindred

Hard

Avoid fighting her, She's really much stronger than you in a direct 1v1 situation unless she has little to no mana/hp!

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

Try to gank and to avoid dealing with her!

Try to deny the stacks by hanging around on lanes that she marked the player in it and clear the camps that got marked!

VS

Lee Sin

Easy

Don't fight him once he hit's lvl 6, he might be stronger than you once he has his ult!

You can even go after him in the levels before and you will have little to no problems killing him if you avoid the execute DMG on his Q by just knocking him shortly before he jumps on you.

He's really bad at the moment and you should have little to no problems dealing with him.

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Master Yi

Easy

lol

VS

Nidalee

Hard

She's alot stronger than you if she finds you out of position and is ready to 1v1 you!

DONT fight her if she hits a spear, you can engage her to prevent her spears to deal alot of DMG but DONT fight if you cannot slow her with red or something like that because she will easily outkite and kill you.

She can be very annoying because she's awesome at counterjungling and invading.

But it's just the same with almost all matchups, you outgank a nidalee very simple!
You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Nocturne

Easy

He can't really deal with your ganking early on and his rank1 ult CD is way to large to be any competition to your ganking and jungling strength early on, he starts getting annoying at level11 once he starts oneshotting your adc or other weak parts of your team that are slightly out of position!

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Pantheon

Easy

He's alot stronger than you in the early stages of the game and his ult makes him deal with your tunnels, but you can start impacting the game a lot easier early on when he has no access to his ult!

You have still a higher variety of ganking paths because you can just do all game what he needs his ult for!

VS

Rengar

Medium

He's stronger than you early on but you outdo his ganks quite easily, also because he's going mostly full DMG he will loose lots of value in the midgame till he hits his final DMG spike you should already have led your team to victory by using your tunnels and awesome splitpush/ganking ability!

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Rumble

Hard

He has an insane amount of impact at any stage of the game and his ganks might look a little off but once he has acces to his ult he really starts to be INSANE strong, DONT 1v1 him unless you are packed up with lots of Mres already!

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

Just use him early on and make sure he can't impact the game later on that much by just snowballing your lanes!

VS

Sejuani

Easy

Haven't really seen her in a long time, but what I can tell u is that she has no options to deal with you! Her ult gets annoying but before that you should already have invaded, maybe killed or destroyed her game already!

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Shyvana

Medium

She outscales you quite heavily, but she has no options to deal with your ganking if you and your team respect that you will just outjungle her easily, but if you give her time she will eventually go crazy so don't underestimate her!

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Skarner

Easy

He's incredible tanky and a pretty strong champion at the moment, his DMG is quite decent and his lvl6 + ganks are really annoying, also he has a decent clearspeed.

But if you do it right he cannot deal with you in any meaningful way!

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Vi

Easy

She cannot keep up with your jungle, ganking and roaming speed!

She is really annoying in locking down a target, but you can easily peel her off by just knocking her up after she landed!

Also she cannot keep up with your ganks, just go and use her.

She scales equally well to Rek'Sai depending on what build she chooses!

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Volibear

Hard

This champion is a monster, don't duell with him or pick 2v2's he will just go and delete you.

Try to play around him as well as you may!

AGAIN I HAVE TO SAY - AVOID FIGHTING THIS CHAMPION!!!!!

You have easier ways to gank by using your tunnels for a high variety of routes and ganking paths!

VS

Xin Zhao

Easy

lol

Rek'Sai as Splitpusher - Use your Ult correctly! Back to Top

Why is Rek'Sais ult so good?

You have 3 ways of using Rek'Sai ult, either you use it to join a fight again or to use the homeguard to do an unexpected super fast reengage from base when they saw you escaping with a very little amount of HP and you ult backin they might not be prepared for you having full HP again!

Using Rek'Sai as a splitpusher!

And the other, and probably the most broken thing about Rek'Sai is, that you basically have a Teleport with ALMOST NO COOLDOWN!
You can for example go bot/top for your midlaner if he doesn't run teleport (ATTENTION: VERY ADVANCED PLAYSTYLE!) just make sure to leave a tunnel behind when you are splitting from your team and you will be able to apply alot of pressure all around the map!

I would not recommend you to use her as a splitpusher unless you are a very advanced player at League of Legends!

Always beeing ready to contest objectives or to fight!

Also you can always use your ult if you need to back really fast shortly before a dragon spawns or the baron incase you are to low to fight you can use it as a TP just as mentioned above!
The next and also very important part is that it just keeps fights going!

Jungle-Route Back to Top

How the Jungle-Route works and why we use it?

Why that route and why is it good?

I use that jungle-route to have the best profit from my bonus XP on the big monster!
By buying both parts of our 3715.png "skirmisher sabre" we already end up getting +50 bonus XP on big monsters and we start snowballing REALLY hard from that point on!

Also we have the HIGHEST POSSIBLE UPTIME on our "Redbuff"! What is VERY important for ganking, also we have a window of opportunity to invade enemies jungler because he will not use this jungle-route and end up beeing out of position for his and our buffs and we might be able to steal 1 away!

As you can see on the Map (Sorry for the really poor editing, I have little to no Idea how to do it!)

Jungle Route Rek'Sai - angepasst.jpg

Depending on the side of the Map we either do:

1) Blueside - Botside Start:

    - Krugz - Wraiths - Wolves // Base
    - Redbuff - Start Ganking if you find a good option
    - Give your FIRST Bluebuff at about min 5 to your midlaner (If hes playing an AP champion)

After that just make sure you clear all your camps at the time they spawn and get controll on what camp spawns when! Keep an eye on enemies buff to see when they spawn and where he started to figure out where he might be now!

2) Blueside - Topside Start:

    - Gromp - Wolves - Wraiths // Base
    - Redbuff - Start Ganking if you find a good option
    - Give your FIRST Bluebuff at about min 5 to your midlaner (If hes playing an AP champion)

After that just make sure you clear all your camps at the time they spawn and get controll on what camp spawns when! Keep an eye on enemies buff to see when they spawn and where he started to figure out where he might be now!

3) Redside - Botside Start:

4) Redside - Botside Start:

Warding and avoiding Wards as Jungler Back to Top

Why are wards important?

That's a question that I especially faced in the lower elo's! After I talked to some bronce, silver and gold players I figured that they are not refusing to ward, they just DON'T KNOW what it's good for, to avoid that I will quickly introduce you to the advantages you get by using wards!

Advantages:

- Your team has more information about what is going on at the map
- You have a better overview around some informations and you can avoid runing into a bad countergank
- You are avoiding to be caught off-guard by having a very good view on the situation!
- You can WARN your team about what is going on by placing your free yellow wards and buying a pinkward

Negative:
- NOTHING

How can I avoid walking through wards and the most common warding spots!

That's something very interesting about League of Legends, some of the spots used for warding are very common and you can simply avoid them!

- Using a sweeper also REALLY helps (upgrade it on level 9)
- Buying pinkwards and keeping some areas clear of wards is MANDATORY

You can see the most common spots for green-/pinkwards on the map below!

Avoid Wards and Common spots - Rek'Sai G

Yes I know it's alot but those spots should ALWAYS be checked because you should never assume that nothing is warded unless you can tell for sure!
The higher you get the more people will know about those spots what makes jungling sometimes really hard, because of that you better always find the most uncommon ganking paths what should be pretty easy on Rek'sai!

(Sorry for the really poor editing, I have little to no Idea how to do it!)
