Summoner Spells Back to Top

No other spells are as good as these two.

4.png - Absolute Necessity on Rengar in the Jungle. A must for both engaging and escaping, and also for some nifty plays when leaping out of the brush.

11.png - I don't think this one needs explaining.

Masteries Back to Top

My preferred mastery page, overall probably the best for Rengar.

So what's up with Storm Raiders Surge?

- So a big belief with random Rengars that I see on the Rift is that Thunderlord's is the best for Rengar's combo. Although true in a damage sense, people don't seem to understand it is magic damage and as I mentioned before with this build you don't need the initial TL proc if you're just 1 shotting them without it anyways.

- Rengar is so good with SRS because it gives him ridiculous mobility to chase down the rest of the team once you kill 1 of the enemies. Of course you can also use it to escape. SRS stacks with your empowered  rengarW.png so you nearly reach double movespeed for a few seconds if you time it right. As fun as that may be, I prefer SRS because it allows me to use my empowered rengarQ.png instead and still get the movespeed buff.

- Fresh Blood and Greenfather's Gift pretty much make up for not having Thunderlords. A great way to give you that extra oompf when suprise attacking the poor Janna warding.

When to use Thunderlord's:

- When against a majorly squishy enemy team comp.

- If you are not yet confident with your kill combo.

- If you don't feel the movespeed is necessary (Very immobile enemies).

EDIT: I have found that I do like the extra burst with TLD

Maxing R->Q->W->E is the most efficient overall damage/sustain level order.

Maxing Q and R ASAP is obvious as we need the dmg and cdr to function as knifecat.

However, maxing W before E is new to Rengar because with the rework he now has ridiculous sustain with his W in the jungle and you want the lowest CD on that bad boy possible along with the high base damage it provides which straight up outclasses the max on E.

Core Items

CORE ITEMS - Get whichever boots are appropriate for the game setting. i.e. Enemy Syndra destroying your team? Get Mercs. Enemy Vayne pentakilling nonstop? Get Tabis. It's as simple as that.

    TANK BUILD
Bruiser Build VS Mainly AD Threats

Bruiser Build VS Mainly AP Threats

Situational Items

Core for crit Build (Warrior > Boots > PD > IE) Boots are variable, take what best matches the game.
Finish with any of these items. I prefer Essence Reaver, Rav Hydra and Trinity Force.
    Full AD Build
Bruiser:

I strongly believe that Rengar's bruiser build is his strongest form. You can easily one-shot ADCs and Mids (squishies), and are able to engage without worrying about being blown up by burst as you can survive quite a bit with this build's tankiness and your W's insane heal.

This build was experimented through about 250 games and will likely be modified in the future. I have found it to be most successful for me as it gives a very high AD stat along with great tankiness and medium-high HP.

With full build and stacks you will on average reach very roughly (depending on drags / barons / stacks on BTN) (Build will vary stat results):

2750 - 3250 HP
125 - 200 ARMOUR
125 - 200 MAGIC RESIST
280-  550 AD

Quite ideal in my eyes as you can act as a more mobile and much stronger version of Darius.

Crit:

A very fun and powerful build, only used when enemies are not tanks / your team already has tanks. It's also very gold reliant.

Stat Range (Based on build, objective buffs, stacks on BTN).

2100 - 2400 HP
82 - 112 ARMOUR
53 - 78 MAGIC RESIST
366 - 800 AD

Side Notes:

- Full AD/Crit is extremely situational as it requires you to be fed and ahead of the enemy by an enormous amount (10+ kills by midgame latest), and IMO is not nearly as good as bruiser Rengar as with my build you can engage into a team without dying instantly.
