Summoner Spells Back to Top

Hey FeeIsBonoboMan here,
Welcome to my first guide on LoLKing ever!
Me not englando so sorry for poor grammar or spelling at some points of the guide :)

This build is still under construction. There are so many things i plan on implementing in the near future, that being said the guide is not 100% finished yet, but i wanted to give you the basics it needs to pull off the Jungle Rune Mage 13.pngimage4.png

New Runes Back to Top

Masteries Back to Top

Explanation

Savagery : All your spells are single target spells so you get much out of it
Wanderer : Would be great too, if Ryze had a better early clear
_______________________________________________________________________________________

Runic Affinity: Rune mage runic affinity ? any further questions ? no but srsly you want to keep the blue as long as possible
Cookie Mastery: just no use at all
Assasain: Good dmg theoretical but you need your masteries for the most part to have a do-able clear
_______________________________________________________________________________________

Merciless : Eventho the other mastery got something to do with Mana, Merciless provides so much damage you dont want to miss it
Meditation : You actually shouldnt need it. Okay early it would be great to have some extra mana to spend in the Jungle, but you can full clear it even without it.

Bandit: Nahhhhhh. Bruhhh. u aint no laner. bruhhhh
Dangerous Game: Well whats left ? 5% Mana and Hp on kill is decent
_______________________________________________________________________________________

Precision: Steps up ryze dmg espacially in mid game teamfights.Take it!
Intelligence: Also very viable on Ryze, but I only chose to take it in full AD matchups (enemy team full ad) Why ? -> If the enemy team is full ad you can do this:

Take the
blue magic resist Runes and dumpster them. Get cdr per lvl (at lvl 18 - 15%)
Buy Frozenheart
3110.png during the game                                                                      (20%)

Buy Zhonyas Hourglass3157.png                                                                                     (10%)

                                                                                                                                   = 45%

Stormraiders >>> Thunderlords

-More Movespeed = More Spells = More Dmg
-Stormraiders has the better late game scaling
-Cant get slowed if Stormraiders is popped
-Synergizes insanly well with your E E Q / E W Q / W E Q Combo
There is no exception imo for this choice :)

2 Options with R:
-Get your ult at lvl 6 if you might get a tp gank off against immobile targets
-Wait till lvl 10 & 11 to max ur ult instantly (if you're up against mobile enemys such as Leblanc, Fizz Thresh & Ezreal )

And now enjoy some copy-pasterino :^)
______________________________________________________________________________

ryze-arcane-mastery.pngArcane Mastery

Ryze's spells deal extra damage based on his bonus mana, and his maximum mana is increased by 5% per 100 ability power.

ryze-overload.pngOverload
Cooldown: 6 Cost: 40 Range: 1000
Passive: Ryze's other basic abilities reset Overload's cooldown and generate a Rune for 4 seconds, up to a maximum of 2.
Active: Ryze unleashes a runic blast in the target direction, dealing 60 / 85 / 110 / 135 / 160 / 185 (+45% of ability power) (+3% of bonus mana) magic damage to the first enemy struck and consuming all of his Runes.
If Ryze consumes 2 Runes, he shields himself from up to 60-200 (based on level) (+60% of ability power) (+3% of bonus mana) damage for 2 seconds and gains 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% bonus movement speed for the duration.
Flux: Overload deals 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 / 100% bonus damage based on Spell Flux's rank and spreads to all nearby enemies marked with Flux, consuming the mark on all targets.

TL;DR Its a straight skill shot which deals damage. Even more damage if you hit your E before.

ryze-rune-prison.pngRune Prison
Cooldown: 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 Cost: 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 Range: 600
Ryze instantly deals 80 / 100 / 120 / 140 / 160 (+20% of ability power) (+1% bonus mana) magic damage and roots the target enemy for 1 second.
Flux: Rune Prison's root duration is doubled to 2 seconds.

TL; DR Point and click snare which roots your enemy for 1 second. For 2 if you E before.

ryze-spell-flux.pngSpell Flux
Cooldown: 2.25 Cost: 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 / 100 Range: 600
Ryze hurls an orb of runic energy at the target enemy, dealing 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 (+30% of ability power) (+2% bonus mana) magic damage and marking them with Flux for 3 seconds, causing his next basic ability against them to consume the mark and gain bonus effects.
Flux: Spell Flux spreads to all nearby enemies, applying its damage and marking them with Flux.
Enemies killed by Spell Flux or while marked with Flux also trigger its bonus effect.

""TL;DR"" Point and Click damage spell which upgrades your Q and W if casted before. Its also necessary in order to get your shield and movement speed buff. Options to get the shield  E E Q or W-E-Q  E-W-Q. If you cast E on a creep/ champ and kill it with the spell the E spreads to creeps /champs around it. If you e twice on the same target it also spreads. If you E and Q on a creep and it dies it also spreads.

ryze-realm-warp.pngRealm Warp
Cooldown: 120 Cost: 100 Range: 1500 / 3000
Ryze opens a portal to a nearby location. After 2 seconds, all allied units within the portal's sphere are warped to the target location.
If Ryze becomes unable to cast or move, Realm Warp is cancelled.

TL;DR An AoE Twisted Fate ultimate with lower range esp. lvl 6.

Situational Items

In General

Either 3070.png->1001.png->3706.png->3010.png ->3027.png ->1402.png

      Or 3070.png->1001.png->1402.png ->3116.png

Depends if you want you damage spike as early as possible and your team overall is more midgame
focused ->3116.png

If you want to win in the long run rather then the mid game3010.png ->3027.png

________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Itemization

1402.png Stalkers Blade: Enchantment Runic Echos
This is my go to jungler item everytime i guess you could get 1410.png but the slow and the juicy burst are more
usefull.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________

3027.pngRod of Ages
I tend to go this everytime I get ahead. The Mana Ap and Hp it provides are just unbeatable cost efficient.
Why do I get it almost everygame even tho i think we need a mid game spike ? Cause i have no trust in my
teammate tbh. I always expect a throw and if that happens I want to have the best set up for the late game.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________

3048.pngSeraphs Embrace
This is the bad boy you want every game and its fairly easy to get with 13.png due to his spammy nature. Your first
item to buy will always be 3070.png but you will upgrade tear to3003.png only if its close to be fully stacked. (approx after
your 3rd item). Needless to say this is one of the best items for Ryze. Its shield scales with Mana and it also
provides much Mana and Ap.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________

3165.pngMorello Nomicron
This is the item you chose, if your early wasnt too god. More or less you dont choose an item then choosing
another  itempath which is
3070.png->1001.png->1402.png->3165.png->3116.png or 3070.png->1001.png->1402.png->3116.png->3165.png
If im forced to play lane Ryze this is a must have. I feel like in the jungle its almost as good the problem is if you
build it you give up alot of tankiness / penetration in favor of ap cdr and mana, which would be viable if you had 7
slots.1402.png this fills up the space your 3165.png would occupy. If your on 6 items it is indeed worth to sell your 1402.png in
favor of3165.png.Or as suggested before you substitute Rod of ages for it if your early wasnt too hot.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________

3157.pngZhonyas Hourglass
Always recommended against ad comps. Also very good if you are ahead  and need to make sure the enemy assasin
does not burst your ass off.238.png105.png
________________________________________________________________________________________________________
3110.pngFrozen Heart
Only recommended against a very high amount of ad damage in the enemy team. If they have a balanced comb I
 tend to not buy it.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________
3030.pngHextech Glp-800
I want to make a extra section just talking about if its good or not and why, casue discussing this items will take
some time and a lot of math
________________________________________________________________________________________________________
3151.pngLiandry's Torment
This items is as frozen heart just in a very specific match up usefull. The enemy team needs to have an unusual
amount of tanks / tankiness. If the supporter is a tank toplane too and jungle aswell, you might think about
getting this as last item. This is only true if these three are the biggest threat to you team if the adc is far ahead
and the enemy midlane you might aswell get something to survive them or clap them.
A typical use of liandry would be this build3020.png3027.png3048.png3135.png3116.png3151.png
________________________________________________________________________________________________________
3089.pngRabadon's Deathcap
If you are 8/0/0 and steamrolling the enemy team you can buy it,but i really dont think it's that good, due to its
lack of utility.(no slows , no shields, no penetration, no health, no mana, no zhonyas passiv)
________________________________________________________________________________________________________
3001.pngAbyssal Scepter
Against ap comps very good and also very good if the enemy ap jungler is ahead28.png76.png and might wanna invade you. If that's the case get an early1057.pngand finish 3001.pngit later on.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________
3025.pngIceborn Gauntlet
I dont really think that it is that good. If youre up against Ad comps3110.pngis far superior and to get some slow you just build3116.png
________________________________________________________________________________________________________3026.pngGuardian Angel
This is really hard to tell when to get this. It's generally depending on the situation of the game of the game both team combs how fed you are. There are too many things to take into account to give a general advice if it is worth to buy. But i can say i find my self really really rarely buying this item (almost never).
________________________________________________________________________________________________________
3102.pngBanshees Veil
When you need to avoid a spell you rather want to get 3157.pngand if you think about the magic resist and health you rather want3001.png3027.png3111.png. Due to the fact that you dont need a Catalyst anymore to build it, it's not really worth it.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Honorable Mentions (you will never use for obvious reasons)

Which boots to choose?

You have the choice between 3047.png3009.png3020.png3158.png3117.png3111.png

3111.png - Both teams are equal (in terms of gold) and everybody wants to teamfight with an enemy ap carry going ham on you or they have a shipload of cc.

3117.png - When your pulling the tyler1119.png and run it down mid. Recommended build
3117.png3117.png3117.png3117.png3117.png3117.png. You cant stack tears for obvious reasons.

3020.png-  Both teams are equal (in terms of gold) and everybody wants to teamfight while your team is fairly tanky and you need to bring the pain. While the enemy team is stacking magic resist.

3047.png- Full ad enemy team otherwise not very good to buy this and even with a full ad enemy team if they are bruisers and assasins who damage you with abilities rather then autoattacking you, it is just semi usefull.

3158.png- Both teams are equal (in terms of gold) and everybody wants to teamfight while your team is fairly tanky and you need to bring the pain. And you feel like some extra snares would come handy casue you need to peel for somebody.

3009.png- Your team is ahead and you want to chase and hunt your enemies down.

Pros and Cons Back to Top

Pros

+You are a special snowflake :^)
+Great Burst
+2 sec snare as a ganking tool
+You are basically a Swiss Army Knife (so many different uses of your Combos)
[[Especially your R has such an unkown potetial]]
+Element of the Surprise because noone will anticipate you can whoop ass like that
+Great survivability in teamfight due to your shields (if you position well)
+You cant get ganked (Ryze is immobile bur if you go jungle instead of mid you will have an easier
time farmin up and getting your items without getting shrekt by the enemy jungler)

+Fairly Tanky
________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cons

-Your first clear is meh
-You need to position very carefully in Teamfight (compared to the old ryze)
-Huge mana surge
-Due to your bad first clear you're open for invades (so keep your shit warded)
-Your Ultimate
-High Skillfloor and Celing (Ryze seems like a pretty straight forward champ, he aint :^) )(okay compared to the old new ryze hes as simple as a rock but w/e)
-Your Ultimate, even tho its provides a lot of utility it's very easy to mess everything up

Jungle Route Back to Top

If you read the part where i dicuss the types of junglers that can mess you up, should already know which route to choose.

Route.jpg

Explanation:

Passive Jungler:32.png You just go full greedy casue you know he wont invade you anyway

1.Grump
11.png
2.Blue Buff
3.Wolves
4.Raptors
5.Red Buff
11.png
6.Golems
11.png
If you kited well you should have some health left to gank either Top or Bot now (depending on wich side you started)
If there is no opportunity dont think too long just go back and get your
3070.png and 2043.png.
______________________________________________________________________________

Aggressive Jungler:64.png  You want to play it safe therefore you start at blue to avoid a level 2 invade u mustnt lose blue at all cost!!!

1.Blue
2.Place a ward over the wall as shown in the picture above
3.You beg your toplaner botlaner to ward the unwarded jungle entry
4.Grump
11.pngwhile one eye is glued to the minimap

5.Wolves [EYE IS STILL GLUED]
6.Raptors [short pause for your eyes]
7.Ward over the wall before starting Red
8.Red Buff
11.png
9.Repeat step 3
10.Golems
11.png

You started blue so you will at this point have no mana left therefore
just go back and get your 3070.png and 2043.png.

But But Does It Work ? Back to Top

Ryze History.png
Yeahhh somewhat..... :^)

Okay now the question of the day why are all those games normal games ?
Im Currently in a bad spot in platinum V if i drop i maybe wont have the time to get back up there because of the beginning of a new college semester. So i just sit it out for this season and next season there is a lot of ryze jungeling to do !

Realm Warp - Curse or Blessing Back to Top

Prologue

First off, When it comes to Realm Warp you need to understand that it aint an initiation tool. Of course you can use it as such but most of the time you 5 man tp into the enemies you just get clapped. The reason for this is the warp takes 2 seconds to channel and the enemy team can prepare themselfs get in position lay out traps and you just stand still and wait to get hammered down. Thats because of your ultimate kind of stunning you which makes it incredible easy to hit all skillshots and because of the small affect radius it has all AoE dmg will hit almost everyone of you.
not my video all credit goes to Jaka Kedačič
Your ultimate is a great source of utility flat out initiating as I said wont do the trick.

There are noumerous scenarios where this ult will come handy and there are a couple of plays you can pull off with it.

Different ways to use Realm Warp

1.The Fakie

This is just flat out a mindgame with you being more or less under full control. So warp behind an enemy to alter their pathing. No one will dare to just straight up walk into you ult with the risk of a 100/0/0 Ryze popping up and slapping their face. So naturally due to the high channeling time they just run the other way because your ult is very easy to juke by just walking in the other direction. Here is the trick you watch the movements of your opponents closly after you ult if they keep on walking there maybe enemys so just dont do the port.(( If you are sure there are no enemys due to vision or death timers go for it mess that kid up.))But if they are changing the direction (what they most likely will) just walk out of your ult and catch them. This isnt always easy to pull off becasue it needs certain terrain to work like in the picture below. Its also very risky to do in the late game because you are mostlikley to be grouped. So that you may think ""i'd never take that fucking warp"" but your ADC thinks ""WEHHHH were going on a journey"". Long story short: he dies you lose.(and id kinda would be your fault) So you need to communicate a bit and try to read not only your enemies but also your own team.
Explanation:
Ryze11.JPG

So every line resebles the movement the player could make
Red line: If mao continues walking his path just warp in and kill him.
Yellow line: If he alters his movement walkout of your ultimate and slap him.
Sidenote if you want to pull this off you need to position yourself near the edge of the circle otherwise you maybe wont make it out in time depending your current movementspeed and reactiontime :^)

2.Double Objectives

If you created a timewindow for you and your team to do Baron you might as well get the (elder) Drake too. It's important to watch the deathtimers tho and think about how fast you can do it.
(no video required i guess)

3.Team Disengage

After executing a clutch baron or drake call you often find yourself conered in the dragon/baron pit with ryze ult you can all get away safely. It's important to tell your team while doing it to run to you if you get conored. Write something like " if they engage run to me i ult out"(bad english i know but it safes time imo.

4.100% Safe Escape

Just build
3157.png and you are able to escape every situation .Activate your passive and ult away. Yes it still
affects
you even while you are untargetable.

5.Minion Warp Pressure King

This one is more complicated to pull off, because you need to get the timing right to properly do it.
(full explanation video incomming)
