Summoner Spells Back to Top

113.png is a weird champion. She's one of the only champions with a short cool down dash (her sejuaniarcticassault.png), which means she is one of the only champions that doesn't have to take 4.png. This gives you options! Take an extra combat summoner like 3.png14.png7.png or take 12.pngand split push the enemy team to death. Here's when you want to take different summoners:

Jungling

11.png Smite

You're taking this 100% of the time when jungling. Will speed up your early clear and unlock the jungle items 1039.png1041.png that give you extra experience and resources. Will also let you contest jungle objectives like Dragons, Rift Heralds, and the Baron Nashor. Smite is your best friend in the jungle!

4.png Flash

You're taking this as your second summoner 90% of the time. What's better than one flash? Two flashes! You now have two escapes instead of one, or can engage from twice as far away by using a sejuaniarcticassault.png + 4.png combo. Very powerful if used at the right time! Here are a few examples to see what I mean:

14.png Ignite

Does the enemy team have an insane healing champion like 2.png8.png9.png11.png19.png23.png36.png48.png50.png106.png266.png ? Did your team not take 14.png because they're bad? Take 14.png and help them out! This puts a debuff on healing and also gives you a little extra damage.

This is also really good if you're going to invade a weak early game jungler. For example, champions like 32.png56.png62.png107.png will all get down to low hp around their 3rd buff, which is right around 3-3:30 on the game clock. You can start your red buff, and then go set a trap for them (and first blood) if you know their jungle route.

3.png Exhaust

Does the enemy team have an insane hyper carry like 67.png96.png23.png24.png11.png or a champion that is going to do all their damage in one burst like 238.png55.png107.png13.png80.png92.png ? Then you want 3.png to ruin their day. 3.pngturns strong damage dealing champions into weaker damage punching bags for 2.5s and can turn the tides of a battle in your favor.

12.png Teleport

Does the enemy team have a scary split pushing champion like 4.png11.png23.png24.png27.png35.png75.png77.png98.png80.png114.png238.png or anyone else that wants to 1v1 all of your squishy team mates away from the safety of their tankline? Take teleport so you can deal with them late game on the other side of the map without giving up a Baron. You can also make some absolutely terrifying ganks with this summoner spell:

Supporting

Here your thinking should revolve around "what does my team need to win the game?". There are a few different combinations of summoners that work very well. Again, you have options since your sejuaniarcticassault.png is at most on a 15s cooldown and can work in place of 4.png if you play smart!

3.png14.png This is my all time favorite combo for playing Seju as a support. NO ONE does this! So NO ONE has practice against this! And NO ONE expects the all in potential you can do with these! They have the same cool down, so you can just wait until they're both up, dump them on the enemy ADC and watch them pop as you win every 2v2. You can also do stuff like this if you get bored waiting for your friendly ADC to kill the enemy:

3.png7.png or 14.png7.png Let's say there's an enemy champion like 107.png254.png35.png7.png, who regardless of your best peeling efforts, is going to get to your ADC and do tons of damage. Your ADC may be better off taking 21.png than 7.png to avoid being one-shot, since it gives extra hp. LastShadow9 talks about why this makes sense (with DBZ metaphors) if you're curious. But since you're running 7.png, they don't give anything up!

This can also work if your ADC still takes 7.png, since you can space out the healing and sustain/kite your way through an otherwise tough lane:

4.png3.png or 4.png14.png also work if you think you'll need an extra escape/engage at some point during the game. Not a fan of this though. Will only take 4.png if the enemy has walls like 59.pngjarvanivcataclysm.png or 34.pngcrystallize.png so I can jump over them if my sejuaniarcticassault.png is on cool down. Can also take 4.png if you want to do your sejuaniarcticassault.png + 4.png combo to catch out of position squishies and win games.

Think about what your team needs to win and pick accordingly. Sejuani is a generalist. She's okay at a bunch of stuff which means her strength lies within her flexibility to adapt and fit any team composition. Use this flexibility to your advantage and pick the best summoner spells for the specific game at hand!

New Runes Back to Top

Masteries Back to Top

We've talked about this in the other sections. With Sejuani, you're all about options and there's not one right way to play her. You need to pick and choose your masteries based on what you want to do. Generally speaking, you're going to go down 18 points in the Resolve tree 90%+ of the time, and then you have choices between spending 6 and 6 or 12 points between the Ferocity and Cunning trees. You really want to understand how team fights and 1on1s are going to go at all points in the game to pick your masteries, so we'll talk through a few examples to understand the choices involved.

Jungling

Resolve

Recovery or Unyielding?
Are you the only tank on your team? Unyielding will be more useful later during team fights.
Are you going to be invaded? Recovery will keep you healthier and safer.
Do you need to be strong early or later in the game? Recovery is stronger early, Unyielding stronger later once you have items.

Explorer or Tough Skin?
Tough Skin is just better. Your early jungle clear is a little slow, and this mastery blocks A LOT of damage from jungle camps. Take this 100% of the time since it will also help you during ganks and team fights. You should never need the extra movement speed since you have your sejuaniarcticassault.png to jump over walls and you can always buy 3117.png if you feel too slow.

Runic Armor or Veteran's Scars?
Are you going to be invaded? When? If you're going to be invaded at early levels (2-3) then you want the scars for the extra hp, otherwise Runic Armor is better.
Do you need to be strong early or later? The extra hp from scars is strong early, but the healing is better throughout the game.
Are you going to buy an item with hp regen or a shield? Like 3190.png3083.png3102.png2032.png3065.png? If yes, grab Runic Armor.
Do you have a champion on your team that will heal or shield you like 10.png12.png16.png44.png43.png40.png37.png61.png64.png76.png99.png98.png117.png267.png412.png or anyone buying 3190.png3401.png3222.png? If yes, take Runic Armor.

Insight or Perseverance?
Are you trying to make #LCSBigPlays for a highlight reel? Take Insight for more sejuaniarcticassault.png+4.png plays.
Are you trying to win the game and took Runic Armor? Take Perseverance.
Perseverance will keep you healthier early in the jungle, and be all around better throughout the game than having your 4.png off cool down a few seconds earlier. Insight lowers the cool down on 11.png, BUT there will still be a 15s window from your last smite, so there isn't anything game breaking there.

Swiftness or Legendary Guardian?
Do they have crowd control on the enemy team? If yes, think Swiftness.
Are you the only tank on your team? If yes, think Legendary Guardian.
Does the enemy team have a lot of damage dealers? If yes, think Legendary Guardian.
Does the enemy team want to 5v5? If yes, think Legendary Guardian, if no, then it's a judgement call.
Can you survive a rotation of the enemy team's abilities? If yes, think Swiftness.
Can you survive a rotation of the enemy team's abilities, but only if you take Legendary Guardian? Judgement call here. This may let you walk away from a fight with <100hp, then heal back up over 20s with an item like 3083.png. This is my main consideration when choosing between these two masteries. Swiftness is worth more gold stat-efficiency speaking, but Legendary Guardian can make or break a team fight with the extra combat stats.

Grasp of the Undying or Strength of the Ages or Bond of Stone?
Take Strength of the Ages 100% of the time in the jungle. Seju does more damage with more hp, likes the extra hp, and the sustain from fully stacking this works well with her runic armor and her health stacking item tendencies mid-late game.

Grasp of the Undying does NOTHING for you in the early jungle and Bond of Stone's damage reduction isn't big enough to outshine the extra health given by Strength of the Ages early-mid game. Finally an easy choice!

Ferocity or Cunning?

Do you want a faster clear and more damage for your team? Pick Ferocity.
Do you want more utility and be a little stronger in fights? Pick Cunning.
Want both? Split your points 6 and 6 between the two!

For Solo Queue purposes, I prefer 12 points in Ferocity for extra damage and a faster clear.

Ferocity

Fury or Sorcery?
Sorcery 100% of the time. Both speed up your clear, but Sorcery scales better into the mid and late game.

Double Edged Sword or Feast or Expose Weakness?
Are you the only tank? Don't pick double edged sword.
Are you having trouble staying healthy in the early jungle? Take feast (until you get your mechanics down).
Do you need to do damage 1v1? Double Edged Sword.
Are you going to team fight and play Sejuani optimally? Expose Weakness.

I prefer Expose Weakness here since this will make my teammates better, and my abilities will be hitting the entire enemy team. This adds nothing to help my early jungle clear, but I honestly don't need the other two for anything, and generally prefer to be tankier than give (and take) slightly more damage.

Bounty Hunter or Oppressor?
Are you going to kill 3 unique champions during the game? Bounty Hunter MIGHT be better.
Do you want to do extra damage at all points in the game with your kit that slows enemies every 4-8 seconds? Oppressor is better and more consistent, which is what we want. Sejuani is the kind of jungler that can play a perfect game and have a score like 1-2-18. Oppressor is better!

Cunning

Wanderer or Savagery?
Does Savagery really do anything to help you since most of your clear is ability based? Take Wanderer and move a little faster all game long.

Runic Affinity or Secret Stash or Assassin?
Are you ever going to fight and win a 1v1? Probably not, so don't take assassin.
Are you going to start 2031.png and upgrade it into 2032.png? Probably since this item is OP, so you won't be using the biscuits from secret stash. The 10% longer is decent, but unnecessary.
Is Runic Affinity really really good on junglers? Yes, take runic affinity and have longer Gromp poison buffs, oracles, wolf spirits, Baron buffs, the works!

Merciless or Meditation?
Are you running out of mana? Buy a 1056.png for 400g, enjoy the most stat efficient item in the game, never run out of mana, and sell it for 160g when you run out of item slots. Take Merciless and do extra damage.

Bandit or Dangerous Game?
Would you rather be slightly more immortal or have ~100g extra early game?
Since you won't be spending a lot of time around your lanes (except when you're ganking), bandit is pretty worthless. Dangerous Game works INSANELY well during tower dives and team fights though. Especially since you'll be building a lot of HP with your items which makes that 5% hp regained a very large number. Big fan of Dangerous Game:

Supporting

Similar thought process as above with a few different decisions to think about.

Resolve

Recovery or Unyielding
Are you against a poke lane or an all in lane? Recovery is great against poke, Unyielding better against all ins and or scaling into a tanky late-game.

Explorer or Tough Skin?
Tough Skin is great for taking a lot of harass in lane, or body-blocking the enemy ADC from last hitting minions. Explorer is great if you want to roam towards mid for ganks or setting up vision.
Tough skin stronger for fighting, Explorer stronger for vision/surprise ganks in other lanes. Depends on how you play.

Runic Armor or Veteran's Scars?
Is the enemy lane going to try and all in pre level 6? Take Veteran's Scars to be a little tankier and do more damage.
If not, then take Runic Armor since you'll be taking harass (which you'll need to heal up from), and will probably have shield items like 3190.png3401.png which will be a little bigger.

Insight or Perseverance?
Are you against a poke lane? Take Perseverance.
Are you trying to fight constantly? Take Insight so your 3.png14.png is up sooner.

Swiftness or Legendary Guardian?
Swiftness is great if the enemy team has heavy crowd control or is building the spooky ghost item 3092.png.
Legendary Guardian is better against all in lanes and for fighting at all points in the game. Depends on if you think you'll get caught warding without 4.png behind enemy lines or if you think you'll need to be tanky for team fights.

Grasp of the Undying or Strength of the Ages or Bond of Stone?
Now you actually have to make a meaningful choice here. How will YOU play your lane?
Are you and your ADC looking to fight? Take Grasp of the Undying or Bond of Stone.
Is your ADC going to do more damage than you in fights? Take Bond of Stone.
Do you do more damage than your ADC? Take Grasp of the Undying and get a double kill.
Are you just looking to farm and scale into the late game? Take Strength of the Ages and enjoy the free health!

Cunning

Wanderer or Savagery?
Take Wanderer and move a little faster all game long. No need for Savagery supporting.

Runic Affinity or Secret Stash or Assassin?
Secret Stash is fantastic since the hp potions turn to biscuits and give you extra health INSTANTLY which is great for early outplays. Assassin makes no sense, since you will be in a duo lane, and you won't be getting buffs so Runic Affinity is also out.

Merciless or Meditation?
Take Merciless and do extra damage.

Bandit or Dangerous Game?
Big decision here. Bandit is great for getting extra gold in lane to buy items and get stronger. You're also melee and get 10g every time you give the enemy ADC a love tap. BUT Dangerous Game will let you pull off some ridiculous tower dives with an extra margin of error. Bandit is better most of the time and will get you to a stronger mid game, but Dangerous Game is stronger if your team is super HAM and wants to DIVE DIVE DIVE all game long. Your call!

You can also split your last 12 points so that you can get Expose Weakness in the Ferocity tree to make your ADC do more damage. Options!

Another thing to think about, sometimes it might make sense to split your points between two masteries in one tier. Maybe you want 1 point in Veteran's scars because the 9hp will make your W slightly stronger or let you tank one extra tower hit at level 4. There are always weird scenarios where the math is just right for mix of points. Feel free to experiment with that if you really want to get nitty gritty, but generally dropping all of your points one way or the other will be stronger 99% of the time!

Check the League of Legends wiki for a detailed breakdown of her abilities.

Ability maxing order is:

sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png > W sejuaninorthernwinds.png > E sejuaniwintersclaw.png > Q sejuaniarcticassault.png

Passive: Frost Armor sejuanipassive.png

Sejuani gains 10/15/20/25 bonus armor and 10%/15%/20%/25% slow resist at levels 1/7/12/17 whenever she damages an enemy with an ability or attack. This lasts for 2s and will refresh if you do more damage. So if you keep doing damage, you keep getting extra armor and slow resist. This passive is pretty mindless, as you do damage, you get extra stats. Needs to be one of your abilities though, so 11.png or 3075.png or 1409.png won't trigger this.

R: Glacial Prison

This is one of the strongest abilities in the game if used well, weakest if used poorly. You throw an ice bola in a straight line about 2x4.png  away from Sejuani. This is a skill shot. If you touch an enemy hitbox, it will stun them, and any enemy near them for 1.25-1.75s. If you don't get a stun with a direct hit, you will slow anyone nearby by 30% for the same 1.25-1.75s. It also has some nice base damage and scales with 80% of your AP. Here's an example of how powerful this ultimate can be from one of my games:

You'll also do damage to jungle creeps when the bola explodes. This will help you steal barons/dragons since it'll do damage, stun the enemy jungler and give you a window to jump in with your other abilities. Even when supporting:

Try to use your ultimate when you can hit the largest amount of enemy champions. It does damage and stuns everyone you hit, so it's wasteful to miss any enemies. Most smart players know this and won't clump up for that perfect 5-man ult, so try to get 1-2 carries and 2-3 other champs stunned in your ultimate at a minimum. Your ultimate also works really well when other champions on your team have abilities that hold the enemy in place, or need the enemy held in place to do damage. Here are a few examples of champion synergy + wombo combos with ultimates:

(Notice how we chain together our abilities to keep the enemy locked down for the longest period of time)

(Notice how my friendly Viktor can land every ability because the enemy team is locked down from my stuns+crowd control)

(It's all about waiting for that moment when the enemy team clumps up and lets your team lay all the damage on at once)

(One of my favorite combos to play with is 113.png9.png since the ults have so much synergy. Buy a 3001.pngto make both do more damage too)

Takes a little practice to see the windows of opportunity, but once you get the hang of it, you can make some really nice teamwork plays! Anyone with area of effect skillshots loves a good 113.png on their team to hold the enemy in place for their damage to land. Champions that work well with Sejuani because of this are 1.png3.png8.png9.png28.png30.png32.png34.png41.png37.png45.png50.png54.png55.png57.png59.png61.png62.png63.png68.png69.png82.png85.png89.png86.png90.png92.png101.png104.png110.png112.png115.png120.png127.png122.png131.png143.png150.png154.png80.png157.png161.png201.png245.png267.png268.png412.png429.png432.png420.png

W: Flail of the Northern Winds

This is the ability you always want to max first no matter what. It's too good. This resets your auto-attack animation (so use it right after you auto-attack), and then makes your next auto-attack do bonus damage that scales with the enemy's max HP. You then do area of effect damage around Seju for 4s that scales with YOUR max hp and your ability power. Every time you level this, the cool down decreases (7s at max rank), and the mana cost decreases (25 mana at max rank). This lets you build straight tank, stacking health, and still do damage. You generally want to hit the tankiest enemy with the empowered auto, and then be in the middle of the fight so your area of effect damage is hitting the largest amount of champs possible.

Also worth noting that this applies on hit effects like 3025.png3151.png3100.png with the empowered auto-attack. This is your bread and butter spell for doing the damages, and you always want to max this over the other two non-ultimate spells when you can.

E: Permafrost

This is a weird ability. You need to land either an auto-attack, or one of your other abilities on a champion (1401.png11.png doesn't count), to even use this ability. But when you tag someone with an ability, they get a stack of frost for 4s. You can then use this ability within a pretty large range to do damage, and slow them for 1.5s. It's worth noting that the damage and slow% go up with each level, while the cool down decreases. That means, that with your sejuaninorthernwinds.png+sejuaniwintersclaw.png maxed, and 40% cdr from items like 3110.png3025.png3060.png3190.png3065.png3050.png, that both your abilities will be up every 4s. The frost stays on enemies for 4s, so you can infinitely chain your slow to enemies for chasing/peeling/killing/whatever. This is the main reason we max this after sejuaninorthernwinds.png. The base damages at early levels recently got increased in patch 6.5, so now you want to get a level in sejuaniwintersclaw.png instead of sejuaniarcticassault.png at level 2 for a faster jungle clear. Also worth noting that the slow has very good synergy with 3151.png which gives you a lot of extra damage from the passive, along with the HP, AP, and magic pen that Seju loves.

Q: Arctic Assault

This ability is a one point wonder for most of the game, but also one of Seju's best abilities. It's a 4.png on a 15s cool down that lets you jump over walls and pull off some very pretty combos (watch the sejuaniarcticassault.png+4.png combo videos in the summoner spell section at the top of this guide). The base damage increases with each level, and the cooldown decreases with each level, but we max this last for a few reasons:
  1. You get more from the other spells early game.
  2. The mana cost increases with each level up, and Seju has trouble with mana early-mid game.
  3. Early game fights won't last long enough for you to use multiple sejuaniarcticassault.png, but you will get multiple sejuaninorthernwinds.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.png.
This ability lets you engage, scout enemy territory, and pull off some infuriating escapes:

It's also worth noting that because this ability acts like a 4.png, you can get away with taking a different summoner, which makes 3.png14.png113.png support very strong in certain situations.

Jungling

Starting Items

The new jungle is pretty brutal so you want 1039.png to sustain through it. This is better than 1041.png since your sejuaninorthernwinds.png hits every creep (extra dmg + hp regen) and you won't be auto attacking as much.
2031.png > 3x2003.png from a gold efficiency standpoint after your first back, so it's worth it to go refillable, even though you get slightly less sustain for your first clear.

First Back

At the very least, you want 1041.png (for the extra experience) and 2032.png since this solves your early mana problems. Alternative is to buy 1 or 2 1056.png if you don't want to upgrade your 2031.png. 2 if you're giving blue buff to your midlaner, one if not. 1056.png is one of the most cost efficient items in the game (costs 400g, sells for 160g) and the hp+ap give you more damage. The mana regen from the passive is amazing too and you will actually gain mana clearing a camp if you have two of these and use your W only.
If you have extra gold, start working towards 1409.png. Generally the extra wards are more useful than the alternatives, but sometimes you'll want 1401.png if they have a champ that likes to go fast like 120.png27.png72.png77.png or 1413.png if they have a bunch of assassins like 238.png11.png107.png56.png

Buy a 2043.png as soon as you can. It's worth waiting 30g in fountain to get one of these on the map.

Second Back

You're looking to finish your 1409.png and start working towards 3136.png. If you have extra gold, buy 1001.pngor1029.png. Grab another 2043.png to deny vision around objectives like dragon/herald.

Third Back

You should be almost done with your 3151.png. Around now is the time to upgrade your trinket to a 3364.png (remember, your jungle item gives you wards). Check and see if the enemy team has tier two boots yet. If they do, look to upgrade yours next. Think about what they have on the enemy team and how to counter it.
  • 3047.png - Do they have auto attacking champions like 11.png222.png203.png48.png?
  • 3111.png - Do they have a lot of crowd control like 25.png45.png60.png127.png?
  • 3009.png - Do they have a lot of slows like 68.png22.png20.png111.png3116.png3092.png?

Thought process for mid-late game

Okay, now you have your core items of 1409.png3151.png3047.png, now what?
The stats 113.png likes best are health, magic penetration, ability power, cool down reduction, armor, magic resist. We're looking for items that give us those!

1409.png passive gives you extra health when you buy items with health (which gives your sejuaninorthernwinds.png extra damage) so try to buy items with hp to make the most of this. 3151.png is core for doing damage. You get AP, HP, magic pen (to make your base damages hit harder) and a passive that scales into the late game for shredding tanks. This passive is also doubled every time you activate sejuaniwintersclaw.png, so you get a lot of damage from this one item and don't need to build other damage items.

Another interesting thing about 113.png is that most of her damage is on her abilities, and these abilities can have very short cool downs (~4s). So you want your next items to get you to 40% cool down reduction as quickly as possible. 3110.png3067.png + runes are my personal favorites for this. In 6.9, you now have 3083.png3001.png3152.png for extra cdr so more options!

I like to look at what the enemy team is doing, and what my teammates want to do for picking my next items.
  • Are they trying to split push? Can we not win a straight 5v5?
Think 3060.png3512.png. Banner is hilarious since AP champions like 13.png45.png127.png can't easily clear the empowered minions with their auto-attacks. Can completely shut down a split push strategy. ZZ'rot is better when the enemy team is more balanced and you want to keep pressure pushing outwards. I'll go one or both of these items if my team is horrible and I need to make the enemy split up so we don't get demolished in a 5v5 as well.
  • Are they trying to 5v5?
Think items that help your team and counter the enemy's damage. Items that help your team are things like 3110.png3190.png3001.png3800.png since the auras and actives affect multiple champions. Certain items are better in different situations. For example, if you have a friendly 99.png101.png161.png45.png, they want to stay in the back away from the scary enemy bruisers and tanks. Build 3001.png to lower the enemy magic resist and make them do more damage!
  • Do they have champions that do a particular kind of damage?
For example, 157.png41.png51.png will go for a crit heavy build with items like 3031.png so you want to counter with items like 3143.png (for the crit reduction, health, and armor) and  3110.png to make them auto attack less often (these are especially good against 157.png since the attack speed debuffs increases his yasuoQ.png cooldown).
Or maybe they have a bunch of burst like 1.png104.png127.png121.png that will hit all at once?
I think items like 3053.png3102.png3190.png3401.png that will give me and my teammates shields and extra hp to survive.
  • If the enemy team is trying to poke you down with champs like 81.png115.png76.png99.png101.png then think about items like 3083.png3065.png which will let you shrug off their damage and heal back up. These items are also solid when the enemy team doesn't have enough damage to kill you with one rotation of spells, since you can fall back for 30s and be full hp again.
Here's a fight from a game where most of these happened:

Supporting

Starting Items

I'm not going to lie to you. You're going to get beat by the enemy team in lane playing support Sejuani. And if you die, you're going to get beat up by your own teammates verbally for "playing an off-meta champ and trolling". The solution to both of these is to get items that make it so you don't easily die, so we're starting 3302.png3x2009.png for the extra sustain and health. As you work towards 3401.png, you'll get more health (which gives you more damage on your sejuaninorthernwinds.png), more sustain from the charges (and gold when you use them) and then a big meaty shield from the active to protect your carries (which also scales with your max hp). Because of this, 3302.png outclasses the other support items and lets you sustain through heavy harass during the laning phase.

Now if the enemy team is super passive like a 67.png16.png or 96.png40.png, you can cheat and start 3302.png2009.png2043.png. I'll drop the 2043.png in the enemy jungle since this helps out my entire team and I won't need the extra two pots of sustain.

Remember, if you can't see the enemy jungler on one side of the map, they're probably on the other side of the map. You can get this from one 75g ward.

Early Game Goals

I'll wait and see what the enemy team is doing in lane before I decide what to buy next. Generally you'll back with around ~800g which is enough to buy 2049.png or 3097.png. If they're harassing us and shoving the lane into our tower, then I don't need wards and I'll go 3097.png for more sustain and gold. If they're controlling the wave well (or my adc is bad at wave manipulation), then I'll go 2049.png and ward to see ganks coming. Your goal here is to survive until you hit level 6 and unlock sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png, so buy items that will help you stay alive and don't be afraid to sneak in extra 2009.png or a 1029.png.

Mid Game Goals

Once you hit level 6, you're looking to make plays. That means you want boots. Same principle as jungling, pick from 3047.png3111.png3009.png depending on what the enemy team's champions can do. If the enemy team is farming under their tower, roam mid and get your other carry a kill. Boots help you do that without stranding your ADC for too long. They get lonely!

You're also looking to max out your cool down reduction at 40% so you can have your ultimate up every minute. That means items like 3401.png3110.png3190.png. I will generally finish my 3401.png first, and then work towards 3024.png (if the enemy has fed AD champs) or 3067.png+3105.png (if the enemy has fed AP champs). If there are 2 or more AP champs on the enemy team, rush 3105.png so your team gets the aura for when team fighting starts. This will delay your cool down reduction items a little, but that's fine because you'll get extra gold to buy them later from all the team fights you'll be winning. Think about upgrading it to 3060.png if the enemy AP champs are trying to split push or have no AD wave clear.

Buy a 2043.png every back and be ready to control objectives like dragon and rift herald with it.

End Game Goals

Okay so your build looks something like 3401.png3047.png2049.png3190.png3110.png2043.png. Work towards this if you're not there yet.
Don't be afraid to upgrade your 2049.png-> 2045.png and think about buying items like 3001.png3083.png3143.png3800.png3151.png3512.png for your last item, depending on what your team needs. If you get to 6 items, be sure to buy 2138.png or 2139.png and think about selling your boots in exchange for a 3742.png. Generally the game will be over well before you get to 6 items, but you never know!

VS

Aatrox

Easy

AAtrox is all about those auto attacks, so you're looking for items like 3110.png3143.png3047.png3075.png to make him worthless. Your sejuaniarcticassault.png cancels his aatroxQ.png mid air, and your sejuaniwintersclaw.png can kite him indefinitely.

He gets low in the jungle early game, but will be consistently at or near full health once he gets his first buy in. He's probably going 3930.png, so keep wards on dragon and herald, and try to take every scuttle to delay his farm. If he ganks on the other side of the map, counter jungle him and leave one little creep up at each camp. This will delay his sated and put him on tilt.

VS

Alistar

Easy

This is a pretty boring lane. 12.png is a babysit support who wants to stop your engage and keep his ADC safe. This is fine since you will outscale him level 6 onward in damage and general usefulness. So just farm and be patient.

One thing to worry about, when he hits 6 and gets his ferocioushowl.png, he will set up tower dives for the enemy jungler and mid. So if they're missing and you see the enemy botlane pushing, just back up and play safe. OR set a trap for them with your jungler and mid + a 12.png from top.

Save your sejuaniarcticassault.png until his headbutt.png is on cool down. If he bops you away, you can jump back in with it.

VS

Amumu

Medium

This is a skill matchup. 32.png is one of the champs I play into an enemy 113.png. He's very weak until level 6 and his curseofthesadmummy.png, so you can bully him in his own jungle if you want to invade and counter jungle him. He won't have enough damage to kill you, but you can kill him if you catch him low at a camp.

Once he hits 6, team fights will be decided by who ults last. Wait until he blows curseofthesadmummy.png, and then use your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to freeze the enemy carries and waste his crowd control.

Good items for this matchup are 3190.png3001.png3102.png (you can block his bandagetoss.png engage with the passive on 3102.png). Think about a 3060.png or 3512.png to split up the enemy team if they're looking for a wombo combo.

VS

Annie

Easy
1.png is an immobile mage, so if you see one supporting, call your jungler down for a free kill. Generally these players will go glass cannon AP, so she'll be very squishy if you can catch with sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png and set up kills for your jungler+ADC.
You can see when her stun is up by the white smoke around her mid riff. When this is up, try to bait the stun on you inside your minions to force a bad engage. Extra points if you have 3097.png charges to heal back up afterwards. Definitely bait her stun if your jungler is in the area since she has no other peel or crowd control to protect her ADC.

Mid-late game, Her bread and butter combo is the 4.png + infernalguardian.png, so tell your squishies to buy 3102.png and get a 3190.png to negate her burst.

VS

Ashe

Easy

Any champion who is immobile (no dashes or speed boosts in their kit) is a free kill once you unlock your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png. So this lane is about biding your time to set up those free kills.

Try to bait out her asheW.png so that it hits your minion wave and pushes the lane towards your tower. This will make her a very easy target for your jungler combined with your crowd control kit.

22.png passive applies slows on her auto attacks and asheW.png, so you'll want 3009.png and the tenacity mastery to stay up to speed. These combined with your passive should completely negate her slows and let you gap close into her team.

Be careful of long range asheR.png. If the enemy team is missing, 22.png will use this to engage, so play a little safer until they're back on the map.
Lane's pretty easy if you can do all of that.

VS

Bard

Medium
432.png players are pretty annoying and will try to do bard things to you:

This lane is about being patient and waiting for them to get impatient and misplay. 432.png is very squishy, so if he pushes up too far trying to harass, you can jump on him with sejuaniarcticassault.png3.png14.pngsejuaninorthernwinds.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.png and burst him down with your ADC. Wait until he misses a bardQ.png to do this. Otherwise he'll probably stun both you and your ADC since 113.png has a pretty large hitbox.

Late game, ignore him in fights since he only has one damage ability and try to catch the enemy carries with your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png. Wait until he uses bardR.png to engage if you want a very easy sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png since the enemy team will clump up waiting for the kill when the invulnerability ends.

VS

Blitzcrank

Easy
53.png wants to hook someone and blow them up. This is great because you can get hooked on purpose and start fights!

VS

Brand

Medium

This is not a fun lane. You're a little reliant on your jungler here, because a good 63.png will poke you down and let his % health damage (each ability does 8% of your max hp) over time whittle away your health. Try not to get hit by his poke, and stand in your minions so he pushes the wave towards your tower. I'll take my hp regen rune page and masteries in this match up, and grab an early 1033.png to work towards an early 3105.png.

Now if your jungler comes, this guy is just dead. All he has is damage and one stun. Your job is to jump in, land your slows, take the stun, and drop your 3.png14.png on whoever your team is focusing down. Survive until a good all in opportunity arises.

After level 6 and a few items like 3190.png3401.png, he's just another squishy mage with support items.

VS

Braum

Hard
201.png is pretty anti-fun for us. He's not going to do a lot of damage, but he has a ton of crowd control and can block your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png with his braumE.png. The shield has 18-6s of cool down depending on what rank it is and how much cdr he has, so try to engage when it's down. Good 201.png players will be able to 4.png or braumW.png into a braumE.png if you try to engage from far away with your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png, so wait until the fight starts to use it!

In lane, this is a stalemate, so just keep your ADC safe and farm up for mid-late game when you're stronger. You have more damage than him, but it takes so long to kill him that it's almost not worth even trying on the off chance the enemy jungler makes an appearance.

VS

Caitlyn

Medium
51.png will be a nightmare to lane against until you hit 6, then she won't be a threat. She's going to poke you down all game with her long range, so take your health regen runes and masteries. Pray that your jungler wants to gank!

Once you hit 6 and unlock sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png, the nightmare ends and you can kill her whenever your ult and summs are available. 3110.png3047.png are great items to build for this matchup since they completely shut her down.

VS

Corki

Medium
42.png has ranged poke phosphorusbomb.pngggun.pngmissilebarrage.png and an escape carpetbomb.png built into his kit. He's pretty hard to all in since he'll just sit back kiting you and then carpetbomb.png away at the last second. Because of this, you want to scare him into jumping away and then focus down the support. Other option is to make him blow his carpetbomb.png, and then use the next 26s for an engage while it's on cool down. Be sure to do this if your jungler wants to gank!

I'll take my health regen runes/masteries to deal with his poke, and will actually take 4.png here. Reason being, your sejuaniarcticassault.png can interrupt carpetbomb.png, so if you have fast fingers, you can sejuaniarcticassault.png + 4.png to cancel his carpetbomb.png escape and seal a kill. sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png will stun him mid-carpetbomb.png, but he'll keep flying, so don't use it if you're trying to catch him and can't follow up after a full carpetbomb.png.

Level 6 onward you can do what you want. Try to trade your health for his mana early, since he's heavily reliant on his abilities to do damage. Think about building an item like 3512.png that gives both armor and magic resist since 42.png does both magical and physical damage.

VS

Diana

Easy
131.png is one of those junglers that needs to farm until level 6 before she's useful. That means you need to be aggressive early and won't have to worry about strong counter ganks. Try to do the Season 2-3 camp -> buff -> buff -> gank clear path so you can get a level 3 gank off while she's still farming for her dianaR.png. Her clear speed is much slower than yours, but realize that she will out farm you if you focus on ganking early, so try to only gank when you can secure a kill for your team.

Level 6 onward, this match up is more even. You should be able to 1v1 her if you're both even, but you'll want some magic resist like 3001.png3190.png before you try to fight. Late game, you can stop her combo with your kit and even 1v1 her pretty easily.

VS

Dr. Mundo

Easy
36.png is very weak early and should not be able to get a successful gank off ever unless your teammates are just bad. His only crowd control is infectedcleavermissilecast.png, which you can dodge. Early game, he will get VERY low in the jungle, so try to invade with your support or mid and bully him. Once he hits 6 and gets sadism.png, he starts getting too strong to bully. Then you don't want to fight until you've gotten a 3151.png since he'll be stacking health. Tell your team to buy items like 3165.png3036.png3033.png3153.png to deal with his healing and tankiness.

Keep wards on dragons/barons. He's tanky enough that he can solo dragon after level 6, and duo baron with a high damage team mate if he has two armor items.

VS

Draven

Medium

This lane is a little scary and can go either way depending on how you play it. 119.png wants to go big early and snowball. He's looking for all in opportunities level 2 onward. Don't take health regen runes/masteries because you're only going to get one big fight before a back. Ask your jungler for an early gank, and tell your ADC to watch out for the all in. IF you can keep him starved for kills and gold, this lane is yours after level 6, but if he gets early kills he will snowball and the game will be ridiculously difficult to win.

Try to kill him to reset his passive's gold counter. Every time he catches an axe, he gets a stack, when he gets a kill, he cashes in those stacks as extra gold. If he gets a ton of stacks, kill him so he can't buy an extra 3031.png.

If he's playing with a scary all in support like 53.png89.png412.png113.png111.png then think about taking 4.png to play extra safe and dodge the hooks/engages/all ins. If you give up first blood in this lane because you were cute and went 3.png14.png, your ADC is going to be PISSED, so better safe than sorry!

VS

Ekko

Hard

I hate this champion. He's going to build tank in the jungle, and be just beefy enough to ekkoR.png away after you catch him with every last one of your abilities. You're pretty reliant on your team to focus him down before he can do this, and that's tough when he's tanky. So kind of ignore him in team fights and focus on the other carries!

Early game, he's very weak and won't have good ganks. Problem is, you won't have enough damage to kill him since he can shield with ekkoW.png, kite with ekkoQ.png and jump over walls with ekkoE.png on a lower cool down than your sejuaniarcticassault.png. So that means this is a farming match up early. Be careful of getting counter ganked since a clutch ekkoW.png stun can ruin what you're trying to do and lose a lane for your team.

Late game, you'll be tankier and have more damage from 3151.png, so just wait it out and focus on farming + objectives.

VS

Elise

Medium
60.png will put more pressure on your lanes early game than you can. Your goal here is to farm up and hit 6 as quickly as possible. She has more damage than you early, and is generally stronger in 2v2s so be careful of counter ganks. She might try to invade you, if she does, she shouldn't have enough damage to straight up kill you (if you run by jumping over walls), but she will kill you faster than you can kill her. If she invades, try to kite her towards your mid laner while pinging frantically.

Mid-Late game, you're stronger, so don't be worried if she bullies you in the jungle early. Keep farming what you can and wait for your level 6 powerspike.

When she's in spider form, her repel can be used to dodge your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png, so either wait for it to be on cool down, or knock her into the air with sejuaniarcticassault.png first and sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png while she's airborne.

VS

Evelynn

Hard

Are your team mates smart? No? That's unfortunate, because 28.png is going to be farming them all game. 2043.pngs will win or lose this game for you. Put two of them in her jungle, and 3 of them in your jungle so you can track her movements. Put wards on her camps because that's the only time you can see her (aside from when she's murdering your team in lane).

She has more damage than you, and her evelynnW.png removes your sejuaniwintersclaw.png slow. You need to survive the early game as a team so that you can hit that level 6 power spike and start winning fights. She has a hard time farming, so if your team doesn't let her gank, then she'll fall behind. Keep wards in her jungle, and ping frantically every time you see her to warn your team. If she doesn't get kill gold, she won't snowball, and you can win the late game.

VS

Ezreal

Easy

Easy lane. 81.png wants to sit back and farm his 3070.png, which doesn't give combat stats until he upgrades it later. He just wants to sit at his tower poking with ezrealmysticshot.png early to do this. Take health regen runes/masteries and zone him off his creeps. Use your body to block his ezrealmysticshot.png so he can't farm from far away. Trade your hp for his mana (this is why you want health regen stats) to delay his 3070.png buy. If he auto attacks you, this will cause your creeps to hit him and push the lane toward your tower. This will make it easier to zone him and set up ganks.

Grab 3009.png once he completes 3025.png. Late game, he's annoying, but doesn't have a ton of damage. Think about 3083.png to heal off his poke while the enemy tries to siege.

VS

Fiddlesticks

Easy
9.png is one of those champions that can play jungle or support.

VS Jungle 9.png

Wards are your friends. He's not going to try and fight or gank until he has his crowstorm.png. He may try to solo dragon as early as level 3, so keep it warded. If he's on it, he'll get down to ~1/3 hp and will be a free kill for your carries. Once he hits 6, he'll be looking to gank from weird places with crowstorm.pngLearn how he wants to use his ult, and put wards on those spots so you can see it coming.

You can invade him, but he'll buy some time with his terrify.png if he has a point in it for his laners to come help. Wait for him to use his drain.png before you sejuaniarcticassault.png so you can interrupt it with the knock up. If you don't do this, you will die.

If you see him charging his crowstorm.png, don't sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to interrupt it if you're at max range. The projectile travels too slowly and you'll miss (and lose the team fight). Wait for the ult to go off, land your ult on 9.png, walk away with your team, AND THEN re-engage when the channel is over. 3111.png3190.png are good items for this match up.

VS SUPPORT 9.png

Stand near creeps so he pushes the wave with fiddlesticksdarkwind.png. Kill him with 3.png14.png all in when he pushes up too far. Ask your jungler to come bot and get a free kill. Take sustain runes/masteries to heal off his poke. He's worthless if he ever runs out of mana, so try to make him blow his spells as much as possible.

VS

Gragas

Medium
79.png is pretty much a mirror match up to 113.png in the jungle. You can both play the same way, build the same way, and scale the same way. The main difference is that his gragasexplosivecask.png separates enemies, while your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png stuns/slows them.

Early game, you can't really kill him, he can't really kill you. His ganks will be a little stronger than yours so be careful if you try to gank because you'll be slightly worse in a 2v2. Try not to use your big spells when his gragasdrunkenrage.png damage reduction is up. It only lasts for 2.5s, and your frost lasts for 4, so you can wait to use sejuaniwintersclaw.png to optimize your damage.

One thing that's nice is that he'll need to build a little AP if he wants to do damage, while you can stack hp to do more damage with your sejuaninorthernwinds.png and 3151.png. Mid-Late game is when you start getting stronger and will start winning team fights. Especially if he goes the squishy AP build. Be patient, farm up, wait for your 1409.png3151.png power spike.

VS

Graves

Hard

I hate this champion. He wants to be close range so he can hit all the buttons on his keyboard and blast you in the face with his shot gun. He's all about burst and can out duel you early game in the jungle. Be careful around walls since his gravesclustershot.png will immediately explode instead of the slight delay.

He shouldn't be able to get ganks off unless your team mates are dumb and positioning poorly, so just try to farm and get to level 6 as quickly as possible. Avoid him if he invades and your team isn't coming to help.

Items like 3047.png3075.png3110.png are good for this match up since he's all physical damage, and only has two auto attacks. His auto attacks are weird and fire pellets, so your tabi and thornmail reflect damage for each pellet hit. Think about getting a 3053.png to survive his burst if he gets fed off of your teammates.

Mid to late game you're trying to kite him around so your teammates can poke him down from afar. Use your sejuaniwintersclaw.png to slow him and sejuaniarcticassault.png to stay out of range when his abilities are off cool down.

As a support, use your minions as a wall to block the damage from his auto attacks and let him push the lane. Don't fight until his abilities are on cool down, because he will blow you up. Let him push the lane in, wait for your jungler, and get a good all in.

VS

Hecarim

Easy

You hard counter this champion. He wants to go fast. You make him go slow with sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png. He's a little weak early game and will get low in the jungle. If you have good wards, try to pick him off while he's low at a camp. Otherwise, just farm up and be more useful than him all game in team fights. If he gets a few successful ganks off, he'll snowball a little, but you can bring him back down with items like 3143.png3742.png3025.png that have slows built in. 3151.png will let you win 1v1s, but don't try to fight him until you have that and at least one armor item.

In team fights, 120.png will often engage with his hecarimramp.pnghecarimult.png combo. Wait for him to do this, then throw your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png at the rest of his team. This will shut down any follow up and let your team focus down 120.png and give you a 5v4 to win.

VS

Janna

Medium

Boring lane. Try to all in and kill her before she hits 6 and unlocks reapthewhirlwind.png. Take health regen runes/masteries and trade your health for her mana. She'll be useless if you can make her get low.

Once she hits 6, your team needs to play differently. You can either burst her down before she can reapthewhirlwind.png, or bait out her reapthewhirlwind.png and then immediately sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to cancel it and re-engage (remember she's stationary during her reapthewhirlwind.png channel).

She won't have any damage, so focus on shutting down her carries. Buy items that make them worthless like 3110.png3075.png3190.png3143.png.

VS

Jarvan IV

Easy

Easy match up. He wants to trap you in his jarvanivcataclysm.png, you have your sejuaniarcticassault.png to jump out. He wants to jarvanivdemacianstandard.pngjarvanivdragonstrike.png combo, you have your sejuaniarcticassault.png and reflexes to side step. His jarvanivcataclysm.png creates terrain which will funnel the enemy team into one clump for an easy sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png in team fights.

Early game, 59.png is a little slower in the jungle clearing, and needs at least level 2 before he can fight. Once he blows his jarvanivdemacianstandard.pngjarvanivdragonstrike.png combo, he's on cool down for about 10s and is just auto attacks for damage. Don't try to fight him 1v1 until you have 3151.png. Buy a 3110.png to remove the attack speed buff from jarvanivdemacianstandard.png and double your 3151.png passive damage.

Take 4.png if you're supporting.

VS

Jax

Easy
24.png is generally used in the jungle to counter other 3931.png junglers because of the way his jaxcounterstrike.png works (dodge auto attacks). He is insanely strong once he gets a few items, but is super weak early and has a very slow clear. His ganks are pretty telegraphed too since he'll start his jaxcounterstrike.png before jumping in with jaxleapstrike.png or 4.png + jaxleapstrike.png. You probably won't be able to 1v1 him early, but as you scale up, he won't be able to do anything to you. He'll have more damage than you in 2v2s, but only if you let him auto attack and stick to you. Kite him around with sejuaniwintersclaw.png slows and you can win the fight.

Good items in this match up are 3110.png3047.png3075.png since he wants to auto attack.

VS

Jhin

Easy

You eat 202.png alive as a tanky support with crowd control and damage. He only has 4 auto attacks before re-loading, so try to push the wave into his tower, so he has to choose between last hitting and harassing you. This will force him to use his jhinQ.png and jhinW.png to last hit, which will make him run out of mana, which will make him fall behind when he can no longer last hit AND harass. Be careful if you do this, because you will be pushed up and a prime target for jungle ganks, so make sure you get wards deep enough to escape!

If he's using jhinE.png, be sure to run over the edge of them to trigger the traps, and then dodge his jhinW.png so you don't get stunned (waste his mana!).

Once you hit 6 and unlock sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png, he's dead anytime your jungler comes. Even if he blows 4.png, he shouldn't be able to escape with your sejuaniwintersclaw.png slow, sejuaniglacialprisonstart.pngsejuaniarcticassault.png crowd control and 3.png14.png. Wait for him to get cute with his 4th auto and over extend trying to harass, then punish him while he's reloading.
3047.png3110.png are good items for this matchup. Be sure to body block jhinR.png for your carries (I like to dance while these are hitting me to demoralize the enemy team). Wait for him to mis-position, and punish him with an sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to the face!

VS

Jinx

Easy
222.png is interesting because most of her damage is off of auto attacks. This means you can build items like 3075.png3151.png3001.png and have her do true damage to herself as she auto attacks. Buy a 2139.png to make your 3075.png hit harder and do true damage. This lets you ignore her in fights, while doing a lot of damage. Easier to get this build in the jungle than supporting, but worth mentioning!

She's another one of those dash-less ADCs that you eat for lunch as a support. Wait for her to push up too much, then go for an all in. If your jungler is near, try to bait out her jinxE.png by getting caught, so she has no escape. Another reason you do well against her is that your sejuaniwintersclaw.png diminishes her "Get excited" passive if she takes a tower and then tries to chase you.

Pretty much farm up to 6, wait for her to push up a little too far, then all in with your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png. Try to call your jungler down since you're a walking ball of crowd control and can easily secure a kill (or at least blow every summoner spell).

VS

Kalista

Medium

This matchup really depends on 429.png and her support. If she has something like a 432.png, you have to worry about extra damage from her kalistaW.png passive (easier to land with ranged supports). BUT 432.png will also roam a lot, making her lose attack speed. If she has something like a 111.png53.png201.png support, then it's more of a mexican stand off, where you're trying not to get all in'd. Be careful of specific matchups. If she's playing with a 412.png support, she can save 412.png with her kalistaR.png and he can save her with his threshW.png, so it's difficult to focus one down, and you have to wait for both to be clumped up.

Survive the lane until you can get your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png, wait for her to hop, and then throw your ult where she's going to land mid hop. Any item that reduces her attack speed, slows her hop speed, so items like 3110.png3143.png are very good for this match up. I like to sejuaniarcticassault.png4.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to engage a fight on her, since it's easy to land an ultimate while she's still popped up in the air.

VS

Karma

Hard

This lane is a nightmare to play as a support. A good 43.png will poke you down over and over and over again while stopping every all in attempt. Stand in your creeps so that her karmaheavenlywave.png pushes the wave, and wait for your jungler to gank. Even after you hit 6, it's tough to all in with your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png since she can shield with karmasoulshield.png and heal with karmaspiritbond.png. You have to play for mid-late game when your team has enough damage to burst her down when you land a good catch with your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png. Highly recommend health regen runes/masteries since you will be taking heavy harass. If you can ever make her run out of mana, feel free to engage at will since everything I described above is now a non-issue! Just tough to do since she does a lot of damage, and you can't really regen fast enough to trade your hp for her mana to do this.

VS

Kayle

Easy
10.png jungle will usually run 3931.png3124.png3115.png3146.png type builds and try to do enough damage to destroy your team before you blow her glass cannon build up. The trick is playing around her kayleR.png. At max rank, she (or whoever she targets) is immune to damage for 3s.  Your ult stuns champions for 1.75s. Try to use your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to stun either when she's low enough to be burst down or when she uses her kayleR.png to waste 2/3 of its duration.

10.png does not want to fight early, and needs a few items before her clear speed starts ramping up. You can catch her low at her 3rd or 4th buff and cheese her for a kill, or roam with your support to try and catch her early in the jungle. Counter jungling is another option, since it will set her behind in gold and delay her 3931.png.
Try to control crabs and dragons so she can't get the extra stacks for her devourer. 3110.png3105.png are good buys for dealing with her, since she does both physical and magical damage, which spalshes in area of effect around whatever she's auto attacking with her kayleE.png up. Crowd control her with sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png, and don't let her DPS for an extended period of time.

VS

Kha'Zix

Easy
121.png wants you to jump in head first and leave your squishies unguarded so he can get 5 khazixE.png resets and make #LCSBigPlays. Don't let him do this. Stay right on top of your squishies and save your sejuaniarcticassault.png + sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png for his engage. If he never engages, then congratulations! You just forced a 5v4. If you get impatient and jump in with your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png, he'll jump in and destroy your backline, and then your frontline, so wait for him to blink first and then punish it!

Early game, you don't have enough damage to fight him 1v1. He can kill you, but only if you stand still and let him. Don't do this if he invades, jump over a wall with your sejuaniarcticassault.png and run to your nearest carry while kiting him with sejuaniwintersclaw.png.

If you're even, you can start 1v1ing him after you hit 6. Once you get tanky with an armor item like 3110.png3143.png, he can't really do anything to you. Pay attention to his items. 121.png players will often build 3155.png3156.png3053.png for the extra survivability, and it can cause you to miscalculate if you don't take the extra shields into account.

Pro Tip: Buy 3364.png2043.png so you can see him when he uses his khazixR.png.

VS

Kindred

Medium
203.png is a squishy ADC that you will eventually eat alive as a big scary tank. Problem is, she does %hp damage with her auto attacks once she charges up her passive and her kindredE.png. So if you're stacking a lot of health, it won't really matter between those abilities and her 3153.png. You want to bully her early and make sure she can't get easy stacks. My favorite thing to do is wait for one of her marks to spawn on my krugs, and then leave that camp up with 2043.pngs nearby to see her coming. Very easy to bait her into a dumb invade, and will starve her kit of extra damage.

You can 1v1 her at anytime (if she's not insanely fed and ahead of you), but realize that it will take a while for you to kill her since she can jump over walls with kindredQ.png, slow you with kindredE.png, and delay death with kindredR.png. Save your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png until you know you can burst her down so she doesn't run away with 1hp, or heal forever with her passive from kindredW.png.
3047.png3110.png3151.png3075.png are good items for this matchup.

VS

Kog'Maw

Easy
96.png is weak early, strong late. But his strength is also a weakness if you build correctly. His kogmawbioarcanebarrage.png dramatically increases his attack speed, which means 3075.png2139.png + magic pen items like 3151.png3001.png will do free true damage to him. Good 96.png players will buy a 3091.png to counter this strategy, but I don't usually see this bought until mid-high diamond.

Abuse his weak early game by looking for all in opportunities. He is squishy and has no escape, so should be very easy to engage upon with sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png3.png14.png. Don't let him farm easily, and try to get him to auto attack you near your minions, so they aggro him and let the lane push up to your tower. This makes him easier to gank, and gives more space for him to run back to safety, making it easier to kill him. Don't let him get fed, and try to keep him stuck in the early game without items.

After he gets 3085.png3124.png, he does a scary amount of damage if left alone to auto-attack freely. So don't let him do that. Use your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png when you see him use his kogmawbioarcanebarrage.png to waste 2s of the attack speed buff, and hopefully burst him down before he can use the other 4s of it.

VS

Lee Sin

Medium
64.png is a match up that you will slowly out scale as you gain levels and items on him. Early game, if he tries to invade and bully you, he can't as long as you have your sejuaniarcticassault.png up. If he lands a blindmonkqone.png, you can sejuaniarcticassault.png right before he hits you to cancel the second half of his blindmonkqone.png (the half with the damage), apply frost, which gives you a sejuaniwintersclaw.png, and then you can kite him towards a carry. Because of this, you may want to max sejuaniarcticassault.png second to keep the cool downs equal, but that's up to you. Generally you're fine blocking the first blindmonkqone.png and your team will blow him up while his combo is interrupted.
Hopefully your lanes don't get wrecked early game by him. He has more damage than you early, so try not to 2v2 or even gank if he could be in the area. Farm, wait for sure kills that will get you objectives, and out scale him into the late game.

VS

Leona

Easy

As a support, you are Leona 2.0. You do everything she does, but with more damage and more crowd control as the game goes on. This is a support that you out scale, by playing passively and waiting for her to get impatient. Early game, she's looking to all in, so take tankier runes/masteries that can withstand one big fight versus hp regen designed to shrug off poke. You'll win trades by waiting for her to engage and then peeling. If you engage first, you'll lose trades. Seems like a weird concept, but if you bide your time and wait for her to get impatient, she'll try to go too ham and then you'll have 3.png14.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png ready to punish her.

VS

Lucian

Hard

This is a harder match up (as a support) because there's less room for error. His lucianE.png makes it difficult to land your sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png skill shots, and his passive makes it so he can apply 3153.png3036.png passives twice, which shreds you as a health stacking tank.

Early game, try to hit level 2 first and force a fight before he has his lucianE.png. This will often burn summoners and set you up for success in the next 5 mins or so. A good 236.png will try to line up his lucianQ.png to last hit and harass at the same time. Try to stand in your minions so that if he does this, he pushes the lane up, making it easier for your jungler to gank. 3047.png3075.png are good items to deal with his extra auto attacks.

VS

Lulu

Hard

This lane is rough. You're going to take a lot of harass so you'll want those health regen runes/masteries. Her lulue.pnglulur.png shields make all ins difficult, and her luluq.png slow will keep you at a distance. Eventually, you'll be too tanky for her to deal with, but you have to survive long enough to get there. This is not a good match up and your ADC is going to be very sad since you'll have trouble zoning her back. Try to get her to push the wave with luluq.png so that they're more susceptible to jungle ganks and try to stay alive until team fighting starts.

VS

Master Yi

Medium
11.png is weak early and wants to farm for the first 15 mins of the game to get 3931.png. Your job is to make this as difficult as possible. That means ganking early and often. Don't just gank to gank, gank when it makes sense, but be looking to do it since a 11.png is unlikely to counter gank with any impact. Control scuttle crabs, control dragons, don't let him get stacks. If you can take early towers (towers lose armor after 7mins, look to strike then), then you can invade his jungle and cut off his supply of jungle creeps. If he can't get to his item power spike, he won't be useful, and his team will be too busy raging at him for "not ganking" and "ignoring their lane" that they'll have a hard time responding to your pressure.

11.png does physical damage mainly with auto attacks, so you're looking to get items like 3047.png3143.png3110.png to counter this. Realize that his highlander.png makes him immune to slows like sejuaniwintersclaw.png and 3110.png aura, so don't rely on those during fights. Save your sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png until after he blows alphastrike.png so he can't dodge. Save one of those two spells for when he meditate.png if your team has no other hard crowd control to cancel the channel. In team fights, you generally want to blow him up when he jumps in so he can't kill everyone and get resets.

If he's trying to split push, look to hard engage as a 5v4 with your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png, or send someone with a 12.pngto keep him off your towers. 3512.png is also a good item to deal with split pushing.

VS

Miss Fortune

Medium

Skill match up here. During laning phase, 21.png wants to harass you with her auto attack and will wait for you to move into her. When you move in, she'll use missfortunericochetshot.png to tag you and your ADC with some heavy harass. So you need to stay a little bit split up so she can't do this, or go in for a trade during the 7s that missfortunericochetshot.png is on cool down. She's probably taking thunderlords as a keystone and will use her missfortunescattershot.png to proc the extra damage whenever it's off cool down. Stand near the minions to make her push the wave towards your tower, and wait for either sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png at level 6, or your jungler to come to force an all in. Try to save your sejuaniarcticassault.png or sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to interrupt her missfortunebullettime.png if possible.

VS

Mordekaiser

Easy

You don't see much 82.png botlane anymore, but it's a pretty easy match up. He wants to sit there auto attacking you with mordekaisermaceofspades.png. Don't let him do that. Use your sejuaniwintersclaw.png to slow him and kite him around. If he gets 3116.png, buy 3009.png, and just keep kiting him with your abilities. sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaninorthernwinds.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.png run away is a good combo here. If you can get him low enough, don't be afraid to all in with 3.png14.png since he'll lose damage (and healing) from 3.png, and won't be able to heal from 14.png. If he marks you with mordekaiserchildrenofthegrave.png, just walk away and spam laugh, then re-engage with the spell on cool down.

You can also set traps at dragon because every 82.png player is addicted to getting that giant zombie dragon. Keep it warded with 2043.png in the back of the pit, and collapse on him when he goes to clear it. He's not ranged, so he'll be stuck in the pit with a dragon hitting him for extra damage.

VS

Morgana

Hard

This is a tough match up because of blackshield.png. You can't just sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png from range because a good 25.png will blackshield.png whoever your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png will hit first, and cancel the spell's crowd control and damage. So you have to bait it out, and then engage when it's on cool down. Doesn't seem that bad, but combined with champs like 157.png56.png15.png who also have spell shields and wind walls, it can be a lot of cool downs to mentally track. It's doable, but takes a little practice to find the right engage windows. Usually I'll just sejuaniarcticassault.png in to start a fight and the blackshield.png will come out, THEN I'll sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png as they retreat or collapse on me.

In lane, don't be afraid to go all in. Pre-6, she only has one tool to peel in her darkbindingmissile.png, and will usually try to fish for harass with it. If she misses, you have 11s to engage. Can also stand in your minions and let her push the wave towards your tower with tormentedsoil.png and thunderlords. Once she's 6, think carefully about when you engage since soulshackles.png is very good at peeling combined with darkbindingmissile.png. Don't bite off more than you can chew and wait for your jungler or team to help secure solid fights.

VS

Nami

Easy
267.png has sustain for days with her namiW.png and will try to poke you down with her abilities. Take health regen runes/masteries to trade your hp for her mana. Try to fight in the middle of your minions so that she pushes the wave when she harasses. Be careful of her namiQ.png since you have a fat character model and need to react very quickly with sejuaniarcticassault.png to dodge it. If you make her blow through all of her mana, then she's just another minion to last hit.

Once you both hit 6, she has a similar engage pattern with her namiR.png+namiQ.png as your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png+sejuaniarcticassault.png. The only difference is that she's super squishy and you are not. So don't be afraid to stand your ground, since you have extra combat stats and an extra combat summoner with your 3.png14.png.

VS

Nautilus

Easy

Both of you play a similar role as a tanky champ that can either engage or peel. Main difference between kits is that 111.png will lock down a single target with nautilusgrandline.pngnautilusanchordrag.png, while you can lock down an entire team. This is another match up that you will outscale if you go even, so aim for that!

In lane, play around his nautiluspiercinggaze.png cool down. It's 18s which is massive. when it's up, he gets extra damage and is extra tanky. When it's down, you have 10s to bully him. 111.png has a few engage combos like 4.png -> auto (passive stun) -> nautiluspiercinggaze.png auto attack reset -> nautilussplashzone.png slow -> nautilusgrandline.png -> nautilusanchordrag.png (right when the knock up ends). That's a lot of all in potential with ~3-4s of lockdown from crowd control alone, so be watching for your ADC to misposition so you can intercept the engage. He does magic damage and has a low cool down aoe slow in his nautilussplashzone.png, so think about getting 3105.png3009.png to help your team and not get peeled.

VS

Nidalee

Medium
76.png got nerfed in patch 6.6 and is no longer an over powered snowballing jungle terror. Now you easily win this match up. Her clear is a lot slower now, and she'll have trouble staying healthy in the jungle since her abilities no longer stun camps. This means if she tries to invade and hunt pig riding junglers, that she might become the hunted.

She'll have more damage than you early game, so be wary of ganks that will turn into long chases (she will eat you alive in a counter gank). Most of her damage is from landing a javelintoss.png and then following up in cougar form  aspectofthecougar.png pouncing on you, so if you can dodge her javelintoss.png, you stop her form gap closing and doing damage.
She's very slippery since she can jump over walls in cougar form, and gains movement speed in bushes, so don't try to chase her unless you're sure you can catch and seal the deal. She's surprisingly tanky with primalsurge.png every few seconds in an extended fight.
If you can survive until ~20 mins, you'll outscale and become too tanky for her to do anything, so farm up and try to minimize her impact early game.

VS

Nocturne

Easy

This is a weird match up due to 56.png's global nocturneparanoia.png and nocturneshroudofdarkness.png that can block your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png. Early game, he has a lot of damage, and that's about it. If he tries to fight you, he will win 1v1, so tag him with sejuaniwintersclaw.png and run away. You'll have trouble winning 2v2s due to 113.png having low damage early game, so try to farm it out and avoid fights until you hit lvl 6 and unlock your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png. After that, you should be able to fight him okay.
56.png has a really fast clear speed, but gets a little low in the jungle with standard runes/masteries. You can make a play on him around his 3rd or 4th buff if you can get your mid laner or support to roam with you. After his first back, he'll be close to full hp in the jungle so less opportunities.

Once he hits 6 and unlocks nocturneparanoia.png, you want to play a specific way. Ward one half of his jungle. This will tell you where he is. If he's not on your wards, you know he's probably on the other side of the map. Mirror him in the jungle as he clears so that you can react if he goes in for a DARKNESS kill. Tell your teammates to spam pings when he jumps on them so you know where to run to. This can lead to some very strong counter ganks since 56.png will generally use his nocturneshroudofdarkness.png in the initial engage, leaving him open to a sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png as he chases down your teammates.
Mid-lategame, he'll have items like 3156.png3053.png along with his nocturneshroudofdarkness.png, so hit tab often when you're trying to calculate your damage. Another trick is that you can take 1401.png if you don't want extra wards from 1409.png so that you can 11.png to cancel his nocturneshroudofdarkness.png and let you land sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png. Items like 3110.png3143.png3047.png3075.png are good since he likes to auto-attack.

VS

Nunu

Medium
20.png can be an early game nightmare. If he's good, he'll be living in your jungle, counterjungling you like crazy. He won't have a lot of damage, but a good player will do everything in their power to make you worthless, and beat you by taking rift heralds and dragons all game long. Early game his clear is WAY faster than yours, and he'll be at full hp in the jungle from his consume.png. Luckily, his ganks are pretty meh since his only damaging ability is iceblast.png early. Pay attention to how much this is doing damage wise. If he's level 5, and you notice it's doing 60-80 dmg, then he's probably maxing consume.png first and going to try and solo dragon. Setup wards and catch him in the act. He can solo dragon, but he'll get low doing it and will be an easy target for ~15s.
Mid-lategame, save your sejuaniarcticassault.png or sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to cancel his absolutezero.png charge up to minimize the damage to you and your team. 3190.png3009.png3065.png are good items for this match up.

VS

Olaf

Hard

This is a tricky match up because of how his olafragnarok.png works. It completely negates the crowd control elements of your sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png (which is why you'd be picking 113.png). He is an early game terror, and will stick to and kill your team if they can't dodge his olafaxethrowcast.png. He falls off late game as carries start doing more damage, so you're just trying to farm and survive until you can win a straight fight. His clear speed's comparable to yours, but he'll generally be pretty dangerous even if he's at low health, since you lack the early game damage to burst him down and he can heal back up with olaffrenziedstrikes.png.

Get items like 3151.png3110.png3143.png3075.png3047.png to deal with him and try to get your ADC and Mid fed.

VS

Pantheon

Medium
80.png is another one of those early game terrors that falls off late game. He can be built and played a few different ways, but generally he's going to be a ganking machine for the first 20 mins of the game. A good player, will tower dive as early as level 3 juggling tower shots with pantheon_leapbash.png and his passive.
Your job early is to help your team survive. His damage is pretty telegraphed since he's going to run in and jump to a target with his pantheon_leapbash.png, throw a spear with pantheon_throw.png, then pantheon_heartseeker.png + pantheon_throw.png to finish them off with auto-attacks woven in. Since you can see what he's going to do, try to intercept his pantheon_leapbash.png jump with your sejuaniarcticassault.png. That will cancel the stun, and let you apply sejuaniwintersclaw.pngsejuaninorthernwinds.png while whatever teammate he was focusing can make an escape.
Once he unlocks pantheon_grandskyfall_jump.png, you need to keep half of his jungle warded to track his movements (similar to 56.png) and mirror his path in your own jungle. When he jumps, run there to countergank. He'll usually dive the towers and walk away with very little health for an easy kill.
As you get levels and items, you can 1v1 him if he goes glass cannon, and shrug off his damage if he goes cdr tank. All about farming up and minimizing the early game bleeding!

VS

Poppy

Hard

Tough champion to play against. Her kit is designed to keep yours at bay. Her poppyparagonofdemacia.png cancels your sejuaniarcticassault.png, so wait for it to be on cool down. Her poppydevastatingblow.png does damage based on YOUR % max hp, so try not to take both hits from it. Her poppyheroiccharge.png can take you out of a team fight, and her poppydiplomaticimmunity.png can remove your ability to peel. Not an easy match up.

To beat her you're going to want a 3151.png. She's going to be tanky, and a fight is going to last over several seconds. That item and your sejuaninorthernwinds.png will let you whittle away her health and eat through her shields. If you see her winding up her poppydiplomaticimmunity.png, throw an sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to cancel the channel. Otherwise try to dodge her poppydevastatingblow.png, and keep whacking her with sejuaninorthernwinds.png + sejuaniwintersclaw.png combos.
Early game, she has a faster and easier clear than you, and can invade and ruin your day. It's very easy for her to land a stun in the wall filled jungle with poppyheroiccharge.png if she sneaks in to invade. Jump over a wall with sejuaniarcticassault.png before this happens and just keep your distance. If your laners are paying attention, you can bait her into trying to all in you, and have them pick up a kill. She can win a 1v1 early, but it'll take 10-20s, so you have time to escape or bait. 3083.png is a good item for this match up, since you can run away to disengage (or get poppydiplomaticimmunity.png) at low hp, and be back to full in under a minute.

VS

Quinn

Easy

You eat squishy ADCs for lunch. Build 3110.png3047.png3151.png and enjoy bursting her down any time you land sejuaniarcticassault.png or sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png. Your clear is faster early, and you can win 1v1s and 2v2s at all levels. Her quinnQ.png is annoying, so try to dodge it so you're not left in the dark. 1401.png11.png is a good buy since it'll cancel her quinnR.png and slow her down. Watch her items in case she's buying things like 3156.png3053.png with shields. That build is annoying since you think you have a kill, tower dive, then get punished because you forgot to hit tab and she suddenly has an extra 500hp. Farm up, outscale, be more useful in team fights.

VS

Rammus

Easy

Easy matchup for you. Your sejuaninorthernwinds.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.png3151.png is more than enough to kill him in fights. Tell your team to buy items like 3222.png3140.png3111.png to deal with his puncturingtaunt.png and then ignore him in team fights until everyone else is dead. Early game, he can't really do anything until level 3, and gets pretty low in the jungle. You can invade safely to counter jungle, or try to pick up a cheese kill early. After his first back, he'll be all over the map ganking like crazy, so try to get 2043.png1409.png wards out to see him coming early and protect your laners.

VS

Rek'Sai

Hard

Early - Mid game she'll have more damage than you and be a terror hunting you and your teammates all over the map. BUT, her kit is pretty basic, and telegraphed, so you know exactly what she's going to do. You won't have the damage to fight her early, but late game you win easily. This is a race match up. If she can get a big enough lead early game, she wins. If you can stay even until 25mins, you win. Try to avoid her and keep her jungle warded so you can keep your teammates safe. After her initial knockup from reksaiW.png, you can use sejuaniwintersclaw.png and just kite her around since she needs to stick to a target to auto attack and do damage.  If she burrows with reksaiE.png chasing you, you can do an about face and juke her running in the opposite direction.

VS

Rengar

Easy
107.png wants to build glass cannon and one shot your carries. You want to sit on top of your carries and lock him down with sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png while providing vision of his rengarR.png via 2043.png3364.png. Early game, he will have a slow clear and be weak in his jungle. You can invade, but it's a little risky since he scales with kills/assists, so better just to farm faster than him so you can be more useful in team fights.
STAY GROUPED WITH YOUR TEAM. Your job this game is to keep Rango from getting any kills. If your ADC is going off to farm that wave by himself, go with him. Stay with your carries so Rango can't burst them down.3110.png3047.png3143.png are good items here.

Now, if he's going AP (you can tell this if he buys 1414.png instead of 1412.png), the opposite is true. AP rengar relies on your team being clumped up so his rengarW.png can do AOE damage. His other abilities hit like a wet noodle. In that situation, don't group up, and buy items like 3190.png3102.png to negate his goofy NightBlue3 build.

VS

Sejuani

Hard

Give up.

VS

Shaco

Medium

This is another race match up. 35.png wants to win the game in the first 20 mins, applying so much pressure that your team is hopelessly behind. Don't let him do this. Wards from 3711.png2043.png3340.png need to be used early to track his movements so you can spam danger pings and keep your team safe from ganks. If you can survive and farm with minimal deaths until ~20mins, you dramatically outscale him and he won't be able to do anything. Late game he'll try to split push, but an item like 3512.png can counter that.

Check his summoner spells. Is he running 14.png11.png? If yes, then you should invade as 5 at his red buff and pop his jackinthebox.png boxes. If you don't, he's going to instantly clear red, and either invade YOU, or go to kill your midlaner while they're still level 1 and he's level 2 with red buff, invisibility from deceive.png, and 14.png. Play extra cautiously if he's running these summoners and not ganking, because he's probably looking for you in your jungle. Realize that he's not running 4.png, so after he uses deceive.png, he has no escape for ~10s. Abuse this with your sejuaniarcticassault.png4.png to either run away and make him waste 14.png, or chase and secure a kill. If he doesn't get ahead he will fall behind.

His clear is very fast, WAY faster than yours if you let him set up jackinthebox.png during the first 2 mins of the game, so try to invade and trigger them to slow him down. If you do this, your clear is faster, if you don't, GL keeping up. A good player can farm two camps at once with his boxes, it's pretty scary.

Late game he will try to split push, so make sure someone on your team has items like 3143.png ( deceive.png critically strikes) 3110.png3047.png to deal with him.

One last trick, if he uses hallucinatefull.png, click on one of the 35.png and look at his items. The clone is the one that doesn't have items! Another way to do this, is to target 35.png. His clone will not have the target over it's head after using hallucinatefull.png.

VS

Shyvana

Medium
102.png has one of the fastest clears in the game from her shyvanaimmolationaura.png. She's all about farming up and taking neutral objectives like dragons/barons. Early game she'll have more damage than you, and farm faster than you. Most players will rush 3930.png, and spend the first 20mins of the game farming that up to make her 3748.png3153.pngshyvanadoubleattack.png auto attacks stronger. Don't get hit by shyvanafireball.png since she'll be doing %MaxHP damage to you.
Farm up and hit 6, you're more useful in team fights, and your kit stops 102.png from doing anything. Try to contest scuttle crabs and dragons early-mid game to delay her 3930.png sated.

When she uses shyvanatransformcast.png, you can cancel it with your sejuaniarcticassault.png like this:

Buy your anti-auto attack items like 3110.png3143.png3047.png, and grab anti tank items like 3151.png3001.png. Kite her when fighting. Don't sit there and let her auto attack you. Make her chase you down while slowed by sejuaniwintersclaw.png and you'll out damage her.

VS

Sion

Easy
14.png's a big guy that wants to charge in and smash people. Dealing with champs like this is your speciality since your kit sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.pngstops them from doing what they want to do while dealing %MaxHP damage sejuaninorthernwinds.png. Buy a 3151.png and he'll be scratching his undead head wondering where all his health went.

Early game you have a faster clear than him. Sometimes Sion players will invade one of your buffs and die to it (since respawn timers are so short early game), but due to his passive, he keeps on auto-attacking and keeps the buff. Have your team ward the side of the jungle you're not starting to watch for this and get a free first blood.

You have a slightly faster clear, but will have trouble fighting him 1v1. He's too tanky with deathscaressfull.png active, and his crowd control from crypticgaze.pngenrage.png will make it tough to chase him down. Focus on farming and be more useful than him in team fights.

Mid-game, if you hear him cannibalism.png, try to make a play on the other side of the map, or counter gank with sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png if you're in the area. Your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png will sometimes not stop his ult (feels buggy to me), so don't waste it, but you can sejuaniarcticassault.png into him to stop the dash early (you will take damage though).

VS

Sivir

Medium

This match up is only tricky because of spellshield.png. She can block your engage if you try to sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png from max range, so keep track of that cool down before wasting sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png. She's going to push the lane with spiralblade.pngricochet.png, so be patient and wait for her to run out of mana. When she's pushed up, AND out of mana, she'll have trouble doing much and is a prime target for a jungle gank. She can only block one ability with spellshield.png, so don't be afraid to waste sejuaninorthernwinds.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.png to use up that cool down before dropping 3.png14.png.

You do really well in this match up. If she tries to run or engage with onthehunt.png, your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.png stops the enemy team in their tracks. They have to be close to 15.png to get the onthehunt.png movement speed bonus which makes an easy target for sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png.

Now, if your ADC is stupid, she'll get free mana for days from spellshield.png if they're telegraphing abilities. Good example of this is 51.pngcaitlynyordletrap.png since 15.pngspellshield.png lets her walk over them and get free mana back every 20s. If this is happening, wait for her to use spellshield.png, then all in during the next 20s while it's on cool down, because the long game isn't going to work.

VS

Skarner

Easy
72.png is a tanky champ that wants to run on your team. You are a tanky wall of crowd control that stops champs like this from doing anything. Use your sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to stop him from grabbing any squishies with skarnerimpale.png.

1v1, you can out damage and him and win fights, but he'll run away and spam his skarnerexoskeleton.png, so you should never be able to kill him if he's not dumb. He clears slightly faster than you and will never run out of mana if his shrines are up, but his ganks are pretty worthless until he hits level 6 and unlocks skarnerimpale.png. Try to farm, and control his shrines (you get 15g every time you capture one) and then be more useful in team fights with your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png. Stack cool down reduction items like 3110.png3190.png3065.png so you can get sejuaniwintersclaw.png on a ~4s cool down, and slow him all game.

VS

Sona

Easy

This match up is annoying. She's going to poke you down all lane long with sonahymnofvalor.png. Take health regen runes/masteries to deal with this along with your 3302.png healing. Try to get her to spam her spells and push the lane. If you can get her to run out of mana, she can't do anything. Try to keep her champion selected so you can keep track of her empowered power chord abilities. Those hit a little harder so try to avoid trading (or eat them for your ADC) when she has them charged up.

Once you hit level 6, all in with sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png. She's a squishy mage with no hard crowd control or escapes aside from sonacrescendo.png (tenacity is a good mastery stat to take in this match up). If you're patient and wait for a jungler gank, she should be a free kill between your crowd control and 3.png14.png.

VS

Soraka

Hard

Everyone hates 16.png because she is the most anti-fun champion ever. Caught someone out and have a free kill + objectives? NOPE wish.pngastralblessing.pngastralblessing.pngastralblessing.pngastralblessing.png they're full hp! This support is going to be your primary target in team fights ALWAYS. If you can't catch her with a sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png, don't engage the team fight because she will infuse.pngastralblessing.pngastralblessing.pngwish.pngastralblessing.pngastralblessing.pngastralblessing.pngastralblessing.pngastralblessing.png and you will never kill the enemy carries. She'll generally sit in the far back, so think about flanking or having your team play champs like 7.png105.png107.png56.png that can easily bypass the enemy frontline and burst her down.

In lane, you are stalemated. You won't be able to do anything or even trade if she's playing smart. Dodge starcall.png at all costs and try to make her push the wave with it by standing in your minions. If you don't dodge, she'll heal and you'll never be able to poke down the enemy ADC. Take health regen runes/masteries for this matchup and wait for the enemy ADC to get too cocky and push up too far. That's when you strike and go for an all in (hopefully with your jungler). Your top priority is 16.png because otherwise she'll astralblessing.pngastralblessing.pngastralblessing.pngastralblessing.pngastralblessing.pngastralblessing.png whoever you're trying to burst down. Be careful of infuse.png too. If you jump in with sejuaniarcticassault.png, she'll cast this and block the rest of your combo. It has a long cool down of 24s, so try to bait it out and then engage.

Team fights are going to take longer than usual, so buy items like 3190.png3401.png3222.png to keep your carries alive longer. This is only a hard match up, because most players in solo queue are pretty dumb and don't realize that they have to focus 16.png before the 67.png or 11.png or 55.png like every other game. Be vocal and tell them that the banana goat must die first or else we lose every team fight.

VS

Tahm Kench

Hard

As a support, his kit is pretty telegraphed. He's going to hit you 3 times then stun and eat you. This will be a tough lane to win since he can always tahmkenchW.png the enemy ADC if you land a good sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png engage. Try to use sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png on him when he's low before he can pop his tahmkenchE.png shield so your carries can blow him up.

Stand in the middle of your creeps and zone him off your ADC. Your ADC should be able to harass him down and make him use up his tahmkenchE.png healing. You're probably not going to get any kills during this laning phase if he plays smart around his cool downs, so focus on making it difficult for the enemy ADC to farm, and helping your own ADC farm by keeping pressure off of him. Post 6, be careful wandering around the map since he can travel long distances with tahmkenchR.png and bring a friend. Tell your team to build items like 3151.png3153.png3036.png to eat through his health, and think about buying a 3222.png to get rid of his acquired taste stacks on your carries.

Jungling: Be scared. He's going to go that stupid 3930.png3748.png3742.png3065.png3083.png3047.png build and have extra %Hp damage from tahmkenchR.png passive and tahmkenchW.png. Early game he'll be very weak and have weak ganks. His clear will be a little slow and he'll have trouble staying healthy on his first clear of the jungle. But once he gets rolling mid-late game, he'll be really hard to take down and have a lot of damage against tanky junglers like you. Buy 3151.png and kite him with sejuaniwintersclaw.pngsejuaniarcticassault.png to keep your teammates safe. Be glad that people generally keep the Kench benched in the jungle, because this is not a fun champion to play against as a tank.

VS

Taric

Easy
44.png is a great pick against all physical damage team comps. Since you're playing 113.png and do magic damage on every last one of your abilities, 44.png is not a good pick against you. He is immobile with one dazzle.png crowd control ability. Bait this out, and then all in him for kills. Your ADC will have trouble getting through his shatter.png armor until they get a few items bought, so wait until the enemy jungler comes. This is one of those lanes where you can just laugh off his damage with health regen runes/masteries and bide your time until you hit 6 and unlock your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.pngsejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaninorthernwinds.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.png3.png14.png combo. Have fun!

VS

Thresh

Medium

This is a great matchup for you. The only trick thing is watching his positioning with threshW.png. If you sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png the enemy ADC, and ALMOST kill them, they will be whisked away to safety by threshW.png. Try to focus down 412.png instead, or save your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png until after threshW.png is taken to get two champs instead of just one.

In lane, he'll try to last hit with threshE.png for easier 3302.png proc farming. Try to make him hit you instead to make him screw up last hitting and piss off his ADC for "stealing CS". Don't be the first to engage on him unless your jungler is around. You'll win trades by waiting for him to engage with a threshQ.png, and then counter engaging with sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaninorthernwinds.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.png (make sure you get both 412.png and the enemy ADC with sejuaniwintersclaw.png). If you engage first, you lose the trade, it's weird. Stay behind your minions so he can't land an easy threshQ.png.

Pro Tip: If you're trying to take a dragon, kite it outside of the pit a little so that 412.png can't threshQ.pngthreshW.png into the pit with a tanky friend to ruin your day.

VS

Tristana

Medium

Depending on how good the 18.png player is, this lane could be a nightmare or GGWPEZ. She's going to push the lane with detonatingshot.png, which makes for easier jungler ganks, but it's really hard to catch her because of rocketjump.pngbustershot.png. Her rocketjump.png continues even if you stun her with sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png, but you can cancel her rocketjump.png with sejuaniarcticassault.png. This is one of the few matchups I'll take 4.png over another 3.png14.png so I can sejuaniarcticassault.png + 4.png to catch her out of her rocketjump.png and seal a kill for my team.

Standard 18.png build is 3031.png3094.png rush, so build armor items like 3110.png3047.png3143.png to deal with her.

VS

Trundle

Hard
48.png is who I play to hard counter 113.png. This is not a fun match up, and you have to play completely differently to win. Here's a video of me learning 48.png (and completely missing smite) against 113.png before 1413.png was nerfed (when 113.png was perma-banned OP):

I did not lose a game against a 113.png as 48.png. Here's why.

He will have both trundleR.png and 3153.png3748.png which both chunk you down from a %HP standpoint. This means you can't stack health and resistances like every other match up unless you buy a 3140.png to cleanse his trundleR.png. Which is a little inefficient since you don't really like that item for doing other things. Because of this, you need to channel your inner MisterOink (give him a google if you want some Seju knowledge), and go glass cannon, AP 113.png. Here's your build path:
1039.png3715.png1056.png1056.png1056.png1414.png3136.png1001.png3020.png3151.png3075.png3001.png3053.png
for an end build of 1414.png3151.png3075.png3001.png3053.png1311.png.
Buy 2139.png to make 3075.png and your abilities hit harder.

Looks weird, but you don't want to give 48.png 5k hp and a bunch of resistances to steal with his trundleR.png. This build is all about bursting down the enemy team and stopping long drawn out team fights. You will be squishier than normal. If you get caught, or pick a bad fight, you will blow up and get popped, so we want an item like 3053.png to keep us alive once we jump in. The other items are cheap and make the enemy team squishier. They're also cheaper than regular resistance items (like 3110.png compared to 3075.png) so you can get stronger faster.

Do not stand still and fight 48.png in his trundleW.png with trundleR.png on. You will lose. Make him use those trundleW.pngtrundleR.png then run away with sejuaniwintersclaw.png until they're on cool down 6s later. Look for an opportunity to land a good sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png engage and turn the tables. He can cancel your sejuaniarcticassault.png with trundleE.png if he has good reactions, so wait for him to use trundleE.png before you sejuaniarcticassault.png either engaging or escaping.

If you're not a fan of the Glass Cannon AP build, you can always go straight tank and buy a 3083.png. When he uses trundleR.png, run away for 6s, and wait for 3083.png passive to heal you back up, then fight. Problem is, they can force objective like baron over the 15s you're running away and peeling, so I'm not a fan of this strategy. Glass Cannon works better since it makes trundleR.png3153.png useless, and let's you burst down a weak tank killer. Still a nightmare match up so highly suggest not picking 113.png into 48.png.

If he's a support, he won't have enough gold to be useful and buy real items, so you can ignore him, kill his team, and then focus him when his trundleR.png is down. Less of a threat in that role.

VS

Twitch

Easy

Easy match up. Immobile ADC who's weak early-mid game. Wait for your jungler, and all in when they come. Buy a 2043.png every back, and upgrade your 3364.png at level 9 so that you can see him when he twitchQ.png. This is one of those lanes where you'll want health regen runes/masteries since he'll be poking you down with his poison. Wait for him to push up a little too far then all in with your sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaninorthernwinds.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png3.png14.png combo.
Save your 14.png until you see him do the twitchQ.png animation since it will delay the stealth making him visible and let you save a 2043.png to seal the kill. I need to test this in game since Riot changed 14.png to not reveal stealthed champions, but I'm not sure if it grants vision if you use it before they stealth. Will update this once I confirm.

VS

Udyr

Medium

This champion can be a nightmare early game if he tries to invade. You won't have enough damage to kill him, and his clears are WAY faster than yours. You need to farm what you can, and get to 6 as quickly as possible. Do not chase him. Save your abilities for team fights, and beat his team. He is still a tank and can't do that much on his own, so farm up, and be more useful in team fights.

If he tries the Trick2g Godyr split push gates strategy, think about building a 3512.png to keep his split in check, and try to force a 5v4 or 4v4 with sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png before he takes too many towers. Control dragons early. He needs two dragons to split push, and 3 to be uncatchable. Don't let him get any if you want an easier game.

Wait for him to use udyrbearstance.png before you use sejuaniwintersclaw.png since you'll slow him for more. He's easily kiteable, so in team fights he's pretty worthless. This means he's probably split pushing, so try to force decisive team fights and either win base races afterwards, or have someone with 12.png go to deal with him. This is only a tough match up if you let him snowball and get out of hand with a gold a lead. So don't do it!

VS

Urgot

Easy

I haven't seen this champion played in a season or so. He's an immobile caster ADC who is good at 1v1ing assassins like 238.png. Very weird champ. If you see him botlane, your sejuaninorthernwinds.png will deal with his health and shields, and you should be able to slow him with sejuaniwintersclaw.pngsejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png for easy all ins when your jungler comes. He'll try to poke you down, so take health regen runes/masteries and wait for him to run out of mana.

When he's 6, he'll try to pick people off with urgotswap2.png. Try to get him to use this ability on you, so that you can land an easy sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png in the middle of his team.
Be very scared if the enemy support is 412.png since there are some very legit combos that can happen with urgotswap2.png + threshW.png to pick off a high priority target without putting 6.png in a risky position. Try to stand on the threshW.png or sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png the enemy team when he jumps back to save your poor teammate and win the team fight.

VS

Varus

Medium

This can be a tricky match up. He's still an immobile ADC who's susceptible to all ins, but he's going to play pretty far back and poke + last hit with his varusq.png. So he'll be tough to pick off unless you let him push the lane. Try to stand by your minions so that his varusq.pngvaruse.png shoves the wave toward your tower to make him more vulnerable. Once he levels varusw.png, back off if you see 3 stacks of blight above your champion since his abilities will do extra damage. Recommend health regen runes/masteries to deal with his poke and trade his mana for your health.

Once he hits 6 and unlocks varusr.png, you need to play more carefully. This ability is a little hard to land and has a 0.5s delay upon firing, but if he hits it, a delayed stun will spread from the spot where a champion is hit to other champions. The point of contact is ground zero, so after you're hit, you're stunned, you can move without spreading the ult to other champions. Here's an explanation of how his ult works if you're curious (had an 81.png on my team start raging one game because he didn't know that varusr.png spreads from a location, not a champion when I jumped near him to peel):

VS

Vayne

Hard

I hate this champion. I hate this champion so much. This is the only champion in the game that can 3 shot you even if you're 10-0-20 because of her %MaxHP True Damage on vaynesilveredbolts.png + 3153.png passive. The only way you beat her is to focus her down with your team.

Her vayneinquisition.png makes her go invisible when she uses vaynetumble.png, so make sure you buy 2043.png and upgrade 3364.png at level 9 to see where she's going and not get juked.

Luckily, she's one of the weakest champions in the game during laning phase since she won't have any damage yet, and she has a very short range. Your job, is to make it so she can't last hit a minion. Stand on top of the minions she's trying to kill, and zone her off the wave. Try to hit level 2 first, and force an all in to blow her 4.png7.png. Take health regen runes/masteries so that you can plop your fat character model on top of the creeps so she hits you instead of them. Try to use your health bar to cover up the creep's health bar to make last hitting harder. DO EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER TO STOP HER FROM GETTING GOLD and call your jungler down to kill her as much as possible. If she goes too big and dies tower diving, type "new vaynespotting high score XD" in all chat to get her team raging. Do not let her reach late game and you'll be fine.

When team fighting, wait for her to vaynetumble.png before throwing your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png so she can't dodge it. Chain your sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png together to make sure you secure the kill with your team. Good items are anything that lowers attack speed since she does true damage and ignores armor. So items like 3110.png3143.png are amazing and 3047.png passive will make her hit a little less hard.

VS

Vel'Koz

Easy

He wants to sit back and poke. If you can catch him with a sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniglacialprisonstart.png, he should be squishy enough to pop if your team focuses him. Be careful because his velkozE.png can cancel your sejuaniarcticassault.png if he times it right.

Pretty easy match up. Stand in your minions so he pushes the wave when he tries to harass with velkozQ.pngvelkozW.png, and buy an early 3105.png so your team doesn't get destroyed by his velkozR.png in fights. Try to fight him out in the open instead of in the jungle so he has a harder time landing velkozW.pngvelkozR.png on your entire team.

VS

Vi

Easy

She will have more damage than you early if you just sit there and let her auto you to death (so don't do that). Kite her around with sejuaniwintersclaw.png, and you should be able to 1v1 her ~lvl 9. Your clear is faster, and most 254.png players will try to power farm viR.png early and then gank bot lane. You can either gank early without fear of a counter gank, or match her farming and counter gank bot lane at lvl 6 with your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png.

In team fights, wait for her to engage with viR.png, throw your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png on the enemy team when they try to follow up, and then sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaninorthernwinds.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.png 254.png so that you can quickly burst her down and then win the resulting 5v4.

Items like 3110.png3047.png are good for this match up.

VS

Volibear

Medium

He'll try to invade and fight you early. Just run away from him and kite with sejuaniwintersclaw.png before sejuaniarcticassault.pnging over a wall. You outscale him around lvl 9 and will start winning fights then. Build a 3151.png second item, and ask your team to build items like 3165.png3033.png to deal with his passive and 3036.png3153.png to deal with his health stacking.

He'll try to solo dragon lvl 5 onward, so keep that warded. Another one of those free kill if you can catch him with his hands in the cookie/dragon jar/pit since he'll get really low. Don't get greedy and dive him since his passive heals for so much. Try to time it too if you can so you know when it's up or down. Ask your team to take 14.png too if you just don't want to worry about it.

His volibeare.png is a slow and he'll likely be building 3742.png, so think 3009.png for boots. His volibearw.png needs three auto attacks for the active so 3110.png3143.png are good items to slow him down. If he's going the 3930.png3748.png build, then think about a 3083.png so you can disengage and heal back up after a team fight since he can chunk you down pretty quickly.

Keep farming, and be more useful in team fights with your area of effect abilities. And try to peel him off your carries with sejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.png.

VS

Warwick

Easy
19.png will stay in his jungle farming until he hits level 6 and unlocks his infiniteduress.png. He will then use his infiniteduress.png, get a free kill, and return to his jungle to farm stacks for his 3931.png. Every time his ult is up, he will gank and kill someone. Your job is to either gank like crazy early (without fear of a counter gank) or invade his jungle and make his life miserable. He has no way to stop you since you can jump over walls and won't just stand there trading auto attacks with him. Your clear speed is way faster, so be sure to farm fast and make more of an impact early.

Mid game, take towers and move your ward line with 3711.png3361.png2043.png into his jungle so that he can't farm 3931.png stacks. Group with your carries and cancel his infiniteduress.png with sejuaniarcticassault.png (save this until he ults) or sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png if he's clumped near his teammates.
Good items for this match up are 3110.png3151.png3075.png3047.png3001.png since he likes to auto attack. Tell your team to buy 3033.png3165.png to deal with his hungeringstrike.png heal and passive. Or just drop 14.png to keep him in check. Pretty easy match up if you don't let him get rolling.

VS

Wukong

Easy
62.png is weak in the jungle early, and heavily reliant on blue buff since he uses his abilities to farm. He's a little stronger in 6.6 since Riot changed 3077.png passive to work on every auto-attack again, but he still needs to farm enough gold to get that item before he starts flying through the jungle. His ganks won't be effective until he hits 6 since he has no hard crowd control without his monkeykingspintowin.png. Once he hits 6, he becomes very scary, so be ready to counter gank with sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to minimize his damage out put. His monkeykingdecoy.png is nice since it's one more target for your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to hit in team fights. Be sure to use 3364.png2043.png to see him when he stealths and not be fooled by stop jukes:

VS

Xin Zhao

Medium
5.png is another 3930.png jungler who needs to farm up before he's really scary. You have faster clear times, but don't want to fight him early since he will out damage you 1v1 and win 2v2s. Once you hit level 6 and unlock sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png, you'll start winning fights, so be patient and farm.

Try to control dragons and scuttle crabs so it takes longer for him to stack his 3930.png. If you get ganks off, take towers and move into his jungle with vision from 3711.png3361.png2043.png to cut off his stacks and keep him weak. Late game he is terrifying, so do everything you can to stop him from snowballing and getting items. He is heavily auto-attack reliant, so items like 3110.png3143.png3047.png3075.png are good buys.

VS

Zac

Medium

This guy is a tanky monster who will be stacking a lot of health and trying to be all up in your team's business with zacE.pngzacR.png. Buy 3151.png ASAP. I will finish that item before my 1409.png in this match up just to stop him from getting out of control. He uses health to use his abilities and heals off of his little bloblets, so tell your team to buy 3153.png3165.png3033.png to deal with his health and healing. 3190.png3001.png are good items for this match up.

Early game, he has similar clear speeds as you, but will get a little low in the jungle. You can invade him, but he's very slippery with zacE.png and takes forever to kill with his passive. Remember that you can 11.png his passive blobs to seal the kill faster.
Your sejuaniarcticassault.png can cancel his zacE.png while it's charging, so save it until he uses his zacE.png to escape.

VS

Zilean

Medium

This champ is annoying. You can land a solid all in and secure a kill only to have him chronoshift.png and undo all your good work. He'll try to harass with timebomb.png, so try to pick one up and then walk into your minions to push the lane and piss off his ADC. If he runs out of mana, you can do whatever you want, so try to trade your health for his mana (by dodging his timebomb.png) and then engage when he's too low to do anything. Wait for your jungler and then all in with your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.pngsejuaniarcticassault.pngsejuaninorthernwinds.pngsejuaniwintersclaw.png3.png14.png. He can only chronoshift.png one person, so wait for him to use it, and then switch focus to another target.

Late game, he can waveclear with timebomb.png, so an item like 3060.png will let you siege and ignore his one damage spell. 3009.png are good if he goes 3092.png and for timewarp.png. Play smart around his chronoshift.png and you'll be fine.

VS

Zyra

Easy

A squishy mage with no escape. Wait for your jungler and all in. She'll try to harass with her plants so bait out her zyraE.png and attack when it's on cool down. Make sure your ADC is auto attacking her plants to get rid of her DPS and get some extra gold.

She can't use her plants until she hits level 2, so try to hit 2 first and force an all in before she has her full kit unlocked. Stand near your minions so she pushes the lane with her zyraQ.png, and then all in when your jungler comes. She should be a free kill if she's past the halfway point on the map.

Late game, be wary of her zyraR.png and buy items like 3190.png to help your team.

Introduction Back to Top

113.png is my favorite champion and I've been playing her for 5 seasons and have over 5 thousand games worth experience across my league accounts. This guide goes over how to play her in the jungle and as a support, based on what I've found works best. Feel free to argue with me in the comments down below if you don't agree with anything. Happy to argue back so we both can learn <3

Laning Phase / Early Game Back to Top

Jungle

Your main goal here is to farm and get into the mid game with your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png unlocked as quickly as possible. You are not an early game champion. You are strongest at level 18, weakest at level 1. Look for ganks, but only if they're a sure thing. You don't have a lot of damage early, so make sure that the enemy laner has ~200hp when you gank, or that your laner has damage (don't gank for a level 1 75.png against a full health 27.png, because you're not going to do anything but waste time).

If the enemy jungler is passive and not going to be ganking your team mates constantly (9.png11.png32.png19.png54.png254.png), then you can try a fast farming strategy to hit level 6 sooner than usual:

This only works against passive junglers and won't work against junglers that want to invade 20.png102.png28.png64.png60.png106.png you all day. But it's viable if you can make it work and lets you hit a huge power spike a few mins earlier than usual. This also helps you farm your strength of the ages health faster!

As soon as you hit 6, look to gank a lane and take an objective. Bot lane is usually a good target since there are two champions to kill (and hit with your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png) as well as two objectives (bot tower and dragon) nearby to take. Still use your brain though. If your bot lane has something with weak damage like 96.png40.png, then you're going to have less kill potential compared to a high damage duo like 89.png119.png. You might be better off aiming for top or mid if this is the case. Here's an example of a standard level 6 play:

For items, try to finish your 1409.png2032.png1001.png and start working on your 3136.png. Be sure to buy a 2043.png every back to control objectives like dragon/herald!

Support

Your goal here is to SURVIVE. 113.png support is all about waiting for power spikes and then capitalizing on enemy mistakes. The first 5 levels of the game are going to be BORING. Sit there and babysit your ADC while they farm up. Use your health regen runes/masteries + 3302.png2009.png to survive the enemy bot lane harass, and wait patiently for a gank or for your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png. There are some tricks to optimally use the relic shield (read this post for a good guide).

Usually the enemy bot lane will get bored and start becoming more and more aggressive to the point that they'll make a mistake. If this happens, force an all in with 3.png14.png and get 1-2 kills while blowing all their summoners. This makes it easy for your jungler to come gank and take advantage of your crowd control kit to snowball an early advantage and start taking objectives.

Another thing you can do is setup a 12.png gank from one of your solo laners. Here's an example of my support doing it for me when I was playing a 113.png top game:

To set this kind of gank up, do the following:
  1. Check and see if your solo laner's 12.png is up or will be up in the next 3 mins.
  2. If yes, place a ward as far back as you can in the far lane bush.
  3. Type in chat and tell your friendly laner that you have placed a teleport ward for them, ping it, and tell them you will set up two kills for them.
  4. When they're ready, start an all in, and use your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png3.png14.png to secure kills.
  5. Take the tower and maybe dragon.
  6. Congratulate your laner on the excellent gank and tell them what an amazing playmaker they are.
If your ADC is forced to back at a weird time, don't be afraid to roam mid, or invade with your jungler. Sometimes you can pick up another kill, and at the very least you can spread wards around the map and help your team. Item wise, you're looking to complete 2049.png3047.png3401.png around the time the first tower goes down.

Middle Game Back to Top

Jungle

Laning phase is over and now teams are starting to group up and fight for objectives. Here's what you want to do at this point in the game:
  1. Group whenever your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png is up, and force a fight over a tower or dragon. (Win the fight, take the objective).
  2. Farm whenever your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png is down. Farm farm farm farm farm farm farm farm farm. Levels and gold make you stronger, so get all of the resources you can and wait for your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to come back up before picking a fight.
  3. Take all of the outer towers. There is a lot of global gold locked up in these. Each one gives 125g x5 = 625g to your team (that's two kills!) and 220g split up evenly among whoever's nearby when the tower dies. Don't leave this gold on the table, make sure you take every last tower to make your team stronger.
  4. Control dragons. The first buff that dragon gives is worth a few thousand gold late game. Stop the enemy team from getting this buff, and make sure that your team has it. The second buff gives your team extra damage against towers which helps you with taking all the towers faster. This is great since as a tank, you won't have a lot of damage against towers from your 3110.png3190.png3083.png items, so get this and help destroy the enemy base. Dragons are very undervalued by the majority of the playerbase for how much gold the stats are worth. Here's a good example from Riot about how to setup and fight for a dragon:

  5. Look for a pick. Seems straightforward, but if you can catch out one of the enemy carries, you can turn a losing game into a win very quickly. Here's one of my games where we made this happen after a rough early game:

Look to complete your core items. That means finish 1409.png3151.png3009.png and start buying your resistance items like 3110.png3190.png depending on what your team needs.

Support

Now is when your team stops raging at you for the "off-meta-troll-support" pick. Now you are a FORCE to be reckoned with and should start dramatically outscaling the enemy support from a damage/tankiness perspective. Every time your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png is up, look to make a pick and take an objective. Same rules as jungling. Help your team take the outer towers to earn the global gold, and ward around objectives like dragon to prep them for your jungler. Figure out who your most fed carry is and follow them around the map to help them kill everyone. Tell your team to group when ults are up, then force good fights and start the snowball rolling!

You should have items like 2049.png3401.png3190.png3110.png which max out your cool down reduction at 40% and give your team shields and useful auras.

Late Game Back to Top

Jungle

Ah late game. Teams are at or near full builds, and you are at your strongest. Depending on your build, you now have 4-6k hp, and are very scary. One mistake, one slip up, one misplay, one catch, and the game is over. Now Baron is very important, and you're looking for one last team fight ace to march in and destroy the enemy nexus.

Your job is to initiate a game winning fight. You're looking for an opportunity to land your ult on 3-5 members of the enemy team, in a position where your team can optimize their damage. You're looking for fights like these:

Try to catch the enemy team in an awkward position where you can hold them in place for your team's high damage abilities. Then march on the nexus and end!

Support

Same deal here. You're now a 4-5k hp support with the potential to lock down the entire enemy team for 2-4s with crowd control, and a decent amount of damage built into your kit from your base damages alone. Figure out if your job is to peel for your carries or if you are the engage. Sometimes you'll have champions on your team like 62.png120.png254.png154.png32.png14.png22.png1.png19.png who will start the fight for you. In these cases you can use your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png to follow up, or peel the enemy assassins off your carries. If your team is something like 82.png41.png76.png21.png, then it's going to be your job to catch people with sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png and start fights, since no one else can really do it. Figure out if your job is to initiate, peel, or both, and then do it to win the game!

Advanced Tactics: Input Buffering Back to Top

Remember those videos at the beginning of the guide that showed off our sejuaniarcticassault.png + 4.png combo? Those are an example of input buffering! Essentially, you use an ability with an instant cast (like 4.png) to cancel the animation of another ability. This is important because doing this lets you use your abilities faster.

Here's a solid video explaining the concept:

And here's a video showing how you can use this mechanic with 32.pngcurseofthesadmummy.png4.png that's a little easier to see + follow:

All they're doing is using an ability, and then using 4.png immediately after to cancel the animation, and reposition. Makes it tricky for enemies to react since it's a smoother + faster combo hitting them.

You can do this with Sejuani too. You can sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png and then 4.png immediately afterwards to cut the cast time in half, and extend your ultimate's range!

Same concept as the sejuaniarcticassault.png + 4.png combo. Cast the ability, and then immediately 4.png to cancel the animation while repositioning. Worth learning!

Advanced Tactics: Global Taunt Back to Top

113.png is a tank. Tanks are there to soak up damage and enable their teammates to maximize their damage. 113.pngis also ridiculously hard to kill with her base stats and crowd control kit. But what happens if the enemy ignores you during a team fight? You won't have a lot of damage and aren't really a big threat after you blow your sejuaniglacialprisonstart.png

How do you fix this?

Enter the global taunt. This is a hidden passive you can unlock on multiple champions in the game (it comes standard on 17_64.png). It makes the entire enemy team tunnel vision on you and try to kill you before your higher-priority teammates. To unlock it, you must be as annoying as possible. That means spamming laugh, dancing, taunting the enemy in all chat with cute emoticons ヾ(@^▽^@)ノ ^o^ (*^▽^*), and even channeling your inner Trick2g (try holding ctrl + rapidly hitting 1, 2, 3, or 4). Make sure you follow the Summoner's Code and have fun with it, but generally you want the enemy so annoyed that they're blowing 4.png7.png and ultimates to dive two towers deep trying to kill you. Like this:

Or this:

Or blowing multiple summoners and damage spells while you walk away with almost no health:

Or wasting summoners trying to kill you while you walk away with 1 hp LOL:

Why is this a good thing?

If you can unlock the Global Taunt, you essentially shift the enemy's big damage spells onto you instead of your frail and fragile carries during team fights. This allows your team to live longer, do more damage, and win you the fight. Think of it this way: Would you rather have a tank 113.png,  or your fed 18.png11.png as the last standing champion after you ace the enemy team and have a 30-60s window to work on the enemy base? Your KDA will suffer a little, but you'll take more objectives and win more games in the long run.

Also, it's ridiculously fun to get the enemy raging in all chat when you pull this off properly. (*^0^*)
