VS

Aatrox
Medium
Really annoying with his regenerating attacks. Watch out for his knock-up charge-ish thingy.
VS

Alistar
Easy
Alistar jungle got slaughered by Season 3. I wouldn't worry about him.
VS

Cho'Gath
Medium
Cho isn't the best jungler out there, but will get dangerous if fed. Don't go 1v1 with him!
VS

Darius
Medium
Ganking Darius? No problem. Jungling against a Darius? Shouldn't be a real problem if he doesn't get fed. Buying a Sightstone might prevent some of his ganks. Another champ not to 1v1 against.
VS

Diana
Medium
Watch out for the knock-in she has. Also, she's almost impossible to run away from, so you're better of either fighting her with your team or not approaching her at all. If you do happen to end up in a 1v1 with her, make sure you're way ahead in farm & items so that you'd actually hurt her!
VS

Dr. Mundo
Easy
Not much of a threat really. Just dodge 'em cleavers!
VS

Elise
Medium
She's squishy early and has a hard time bursting a fat pig like you down. Otherwise she's very strong overall.
VS

Evelynn
Hard
Evelynn can get really annoying, as she can just remove all slows from her with a touch of a button, and it's hard to keep track of this stealthed bitch. Carry a lot more pinks than you normally would to counter this tramp.
VS

Fiddlesticks
Easy
VERY blue dependant, also, just ult or freeze him if he comes with Crowstorm. Best bet is to shut him down early with an invade.
VS

Fiora
Medium
Another rather unplayed champ. Just don't 1v1 with her. She has 0 cc so she's not the best jungle pick anyway. (I admit playing her a lot there though, sob sob)
VS

Gangplank
Easy
VS

Hecarim
Medium
Very strong if correctly played. Just slow him down and avoid him to reach your carries. He is pretty easy to shut down in team fights as Sejuani, because you got 2 slows, and slowing him down actually decreases his attack damage, so try to utilize your CC on both Hecarim and their carries. Make him a sad pony!
VS

Heimerdinger
Easy
Lol @ Heimerdinger jungle. He's easy to kill, but watch out for his turrets' stacking damage.
VS

Jarvan IV
Easy
He is very durable and his ganks may hurt, but otherwise, he is fairly manageable. A lane fight with him and the lane partners often goes in your favor.
VS

Jax
Medium
You're pretty durable, so Jax shouldn't be able to hurt you that much. A fed Jax is something everybody should fear though, and as the jungler, it's up to you to stop him!
VS

Kayle
Hard
She's almost unreachable due to her speed & slow and attack range. Also, be aware of her damage immunity ultimate, so make sure to either isolate her or just burst her down first, if you can. Lucky she got nerfed though.
VS

Kha'Zix
Hard
This guy hurts - ALOT, so do not go 1v1 with him. Watch out as he can suddenly jump on you out of nowhere and oneshot you! Ban him please.
VS

Kindred
Medium
You can barely fight them as they outheal your damage during all stages of the game. Focus on killing the marked camps to prevent Kindred from gaining bonus damage.
VS

Lee Sin
Medium
Woohooo! Lee Sin is finally nerfed to averageness so you get to outshine him! Get loads of wards to counter him.
VS

Malphite
Hard
His ultimate can turn the tides of any fight more reliably than yours. Your best bet is to ban him. He has a fairly weak damage output though, so if a wild Malph appears, you might even trade well against him.
VS

Maokai
Easy
A fairly slow and low dmg jungler. Just watch out for that CC he has.
VS

Master Yi
Medium
Yi's ultimate renders him immune to slows, making your Permafrost worthless. Not that often seen though.
VS

Nasus
Medium
The most annoying slow in the game! Get a tenacity item and stack loads of health and armor to survive him! Otherwise he's fairly manageable.
VS

Nautilus
Hard
He has more crowd control than you do, so keep that in mind while in team fights. Don't let him reach your carries, because they'll have no means of escaping if Nautilus can grab or stun them! He does fairly low damage though, but is still a force to be reckoned with, so keep him slowed!
VS

Nocturne
Easy
....DAAAARKNESSS!!!! What to do? One auto-attack, Permafrost and Arctic Assault to safety. Never fight him on his... dark ground. He gains a ton of AD on top of it.
VS

Nunu
Easy
A fast jungler, but becomes rather useless as the game moves on. Hard to actually feed a Nunu. Do keep in mind that with Nunu, the enemy team can get objectives such as Dragon & Baron incredibly early so wards!
VS

Olaf
Medium
Another champ with some sort of CC immunity. Don't 1v1 him at any times! And avoid his axes if you're being chased. Save that Q to dash trough a thick wall! Way too nerfed now.
VS

Pantheon
Medium
He has a fairly high damage output, and his ultimate can give him easy kills. Armor stuff and counter jungling are the keys to shut him down.
VS

Poppy
Easy
Poppy jungle may not be that viable, but she does appear every once in a while. She is VERY, VERY blue dependant, so invading her blue will often lead to Poppy afk farming jungle forever, letting you dominate the flow.
VS

Rammus
Easy
One of Rammus's greatest counters is indeed Sejuani. He's a piece of cake, don't worry about him.
VS

Rek'Sai
Medium
Pretty high damage and mobility. You'll outscale her later though.
VS

Renekton
Medium
Beware of his high damage output! Never confront him alone, unless you're the most fed person in the game. Stack armor to reduce his damage.
VS

Rengar
Hard
Very high dmg output, avoid him sneaking to your back whilst jungling!
VS

Riven
Hard
Running away from this bitch can be fairly difficult even as Sejuani. Keep your distance and don't go 1v1!
VS

Sejuani
Medium
Ehh... May the best player win!
VS

Shaco
Hard
Another extremely dangerous champion. Counter jungling hurts Seju real bad, and who else is the king of counter jungling, other than Shaco? Your best bet is to gank more often, and keep other lanes strong + buy a Sightstone to keep track of his movements!
VS

Shen
Easy
I wouldn't worry about Shen, even though he too has a game changing ult. If u see him ultying, throw your own ultimate and your team will thank you later.
VS

Shyvana
Medium
She's a difficult opponent. Hybrid items such as Runic Bulwark negate her damage quite nicely, also Randuin's Omen should counter her hard. Also hardly ever played, so I'm not 100% about this match-up to be honest.
VS

Singed
Medium
Singed jungle is something so random but it still exists. You can stampede over his puddle but never chase him if you can help it! He'll turbo-charge and catch you if you use your Arctic Assault stupidly so be cautious!
VS

Sion
Easy
Never played, easy to burst down. If he's fed or poses a threat, you'll be needing some cc effects to lock him down from gaining life as AD, or loads of burst to get his shield down before exploding in 4 seconds as AP.
VS

Skarner
Medium
Skarner is all about that ultimate. Just protect ur team from getting impaled.
VS

Talon
Medium
Very high damage, but buying a lot of armor will prevent most of it. Also, try to ult him before/after his ult, so that your team is able to finish him off quickly.
VS

Trundle
Medium
Naww this troll is now a force to be reckoned with! His pillar is so lame but you can dash trough the area (not trough the pillar unfortunately)
VS

Tryndamere
Medium
If he chases you, try to estimate when he'll cast his slow as you can completely negate it when you turn your face towards him, making him weep in sorrow. Does some mad damage once fed but that's rarely the case.
VS

Udyr
Hard
Udyr is very durable and should not be confronted alone. Get ready to run for your life if he decides to enter your jungle!
VS

Vi
Medium
I don't see a threat in Vi. You should just hug their carries if she initiates.
VS

Volibear
Medium
Watch out for the pedobear! He does fairly high damage, so avoid confronting him alone.
VS

Warwick
Medium
A wild WW jumps on you - what to do? 1 hit, permafrost and Q to safety! Also, a sightstone helps greatly against Warwick. Insane sustain so you're better off not dueling him.
VS

Wukong
Medium
Keep him slowed before he'll knock and damage the whole team. Avoid his fairly high damage output, depending on his build.
VS

Xin Zhao
Medium
Nerfed to ground as well. He does hurt though so armor helps a lot.
VS

Yasuo
Medium
Master Yi with a knock-up. Buy a ton of armor to counter him!
VS

Zac
Hard
Damn this guy. He can fly from one edge of the map to another. His sustain is also broken... Just be careful!
VS

Zed
Medium
Zed has just fallen back to mediocrity in my opinion. He can easily dodge your ultimate with his skillset which is so lame. Armor and HP is nice against him.
About Sejuani Back to Top

- Lots of natural crowd control. Just look at her. A skill that slows multiple targets all the way to 70%! On top of that, she has no doubt one of the best ultimates in the game
, one which stuns the initial target for up to 1.75 seconds and EVERYTHING around it for the same duration. This is a real gamebreaking-heartstopping-force-to-be-reckoned-with -ultimate. As long as it hits. Not to mention the knock up -part of Arctic Assault!
- Good mobility. Do you know what ninja-moves you can pull off with your Arctic Assault?
It can charge trough 95% of all the walls in the game if aimed at a correct angle! One of my secret techniques for kick-ass botlane ganks is when you play in the Purple team (North-east base), you go past blue buff at the right, and instead of going to drake, you make a right and charge with Q to the river brush over the wall, toss Glacial Prison
to an unsuspecting Caitlyn
and follow up with a greatly slowing Permafrost.
All in one package! The same thing can work for toplane too as in the Blue team, but this is much more effective as there are more people bot. I used my immense Painting skills to create this outstanding artistic picture about the bot lane gank explained above.

- A great natural tank. You always want to stack health items for tons of damage on your Northern Winds.
Also Sejuani
can easily stop the enemy tank/engage champions from reaching your carries simply by applying Frost and converting it into Permafrost
and/or throwing your Glacial Prison
on them.
- Decent jungle clearing time. Not the best, but definitely not the worst. You can mix-max
and
if ganking opportunities are rare and your allies are pushing a lot. More ranks of Northern Winds
slightly increase your clear time, letting you farm ahead of others, but you can still make those ninja-moves with Q and pull off some cool ganks with it so that is why some ranks of E will help you more to let your allies catch up to the slowed enemies and hit them better for more damage. By level 13, it doesn't matter anymore as they're both rank 5 and jungle camps die in mere seconds under that piggy. Otherwise you should max W.
- The worst early game you could ever ask for. 90% of the time you do NOT want to invade as/with Sejuani
as she has 0 level one fighting potential. Unless your team consists of very strong invading champions such as
then they can cover up the loss of your level 1 weakness. Not to mention that if the enemy team invades and manages to steal your buff or two, your game is over for the first 15 minutes. Well not quite, but other champions can recover from a buff loss way better than Sejuani
- Very bad 1v1 or 2v2 pre- level 6. You wouldn't believe how many times Sejuani
can fail top lane ganks when their enemy jungler appears at the same time. Almost any champion can outdamage her in the early stages of the game. All her power is shifted towards mid/late game when she has her core build done.
- Proper itemizing can sometimes be difficult. Seeing allied Sejuanis
rushing stuff like Rylai's
first makes me want to die inside. After
you choose to buy
and then start buying the follow-up items according to the enemy team's damage type & your team's needs and your monetary situation.
- "Omfg Seju is a troll champ don't pick her." = this is just BS now! She's banned occasionally and has the highest win ratio! Or atleast used to have. But anyway, screw the haters.

- "I never see Seju in games so I don't know what she can do." = Mostly new, curious players can put this one out. Try to impress them so they won't leave the game lobby with a bad taste about Sejuani
left in their mouth. Communicating is a key to victory. You can even take the time to explain what her ult does, for example, when you have the time.
Introduction & Stuff Back to Top
Hey there! I go by the summoner name makaronilaama and I play at EU/West. I created this guide about Sejuani at the end of 2012, when she used to be my favorite champion. She's still fun to play when mastered, but I've switched my likings onto other champions such as .
Just as a fun fact: I only play female champions. Well, 95% of the time atleast. Girl power ftw (is Teemo manly enough to be counted as a male?)

Finally Back to Top
Thank you for reading my guide, and I hope it'll aid you on your future games with Sejuani! I did not do a specific section for jungling routes, because it is pretty up to the player and obvious, how to jungle.
- P.S. feel free to comment, I'll most likely answer back to any questions you might have!
