Summoner Spells Back to Top

As with most Junglers, these two summoners are generally the best to take. I have tried Ghost instead of Flash, and its simply not as efficient with his movement speed ultimate.

A simple explanation, you can Flash - W into an opponent, Flash over an wall to escape, Flash into an objective to steal it. Ghost's only use is either slightly better ganks if used or to chase opponents, which in most circumstances will be the wrong choice.

Masteries Back to Top

Woah, ok its Mastery time. For an extremely detailed guide on Masteries, check out Riot Phreak's video on 2016 Runes and Masteries, its up to date with the recent changes. My idea for jungle runes came from watching his video.

The only two options I can see would be to either go 18-12-0 (Bloodlust), or 0-12-18 as above. Generally, the swap is for either the Bruiser build, or generally if you think you will clear faster and maybe not go juggernaut enchant. Strength of the Ages is generally an excellent choice, as it is one of the few keystones to give a flat stat, and free HP on a tank is super worth.

Pretty simple one. Max the Q. Its an AoE CC attack, useful in all situations. The biggest two things to learn to do with Sion is to land the stun on his Q, and to slow targets by knocking minions into them with E. Other than the infamous 'Wall Grabbing' Technique, his Ult is fair to navigate.

One point in each skill is necessary to start in order to have good gank pressure.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Core Items

Situational Items

Normal Jungle start, get Frozen upgrade because it is currently the best (slowing move speed and damage = great ganks).

The core items are adjustable, Randuins for heavy ad comps and especially carrying ADC's on the enemy team, Locket if they have more than one AP threat (Such as 105.png Top and any Mage mid). Situational only against Heavy AP comps.
3742.png Works really well with Sion's Ultimate, so this is one of the only champs I recommend this item on.

ZZ'Rot is still an great pushing item, place it in a lane and it will auto push, if you wish to pressure the map while going for an objective like Baron, can place it and still have the raw stats in a fight.

Surprisingly, Nidalee matchup is fine. Yes Nid is likely to early invade your jungle, but with your CC and general bulk, its unlikely you die without getting a reverse kill from your passive or else your lanes arriving in time to help.

With MR, you can wall her spears in mid-late game without taking damage, denying her poke.

Jungle Pathing Back to Top

Generally, unless unique reasons such as a red invade, this is the path to go.

START: KrugsKrug_Square.jpg.Smite.png> Red Brambleback_Square.jpg (HP Pot 1) > Wolves Greater_Murk_WolfSquare.png > Blue BlueSentinel_Square.jpg.Smite.png (HP Pot 2) >Check lanes. This is crucial, you will need to look for how the lanes are pushing, the hp of enemies, who needs help winning lane, and think/check where is warded. You can go either secure Scuttle Crab, or go for a gank on Top.

First back buy 3706.png and HP Pots. If extra gold, Boots or Pink Wards. Vision is super key, get Pinks to place along river. If ever you see the jungles top/bot then their opposite jungle is free, take enemy Krugs/Gromp.

Often if unsure, a good place to go is Bot. You can do Birds Razorbeak_Square.jpg and Krugs Krug_Square.jpg if the lane is not ready for a gank, but if you let them know you want to gank they should allow the push so you can come in to gank and get First Blood.

Also key jungle pointers, whenever an objective is upcoming such as dragon or baron, smite either your own or the opponents Bird Razorbeak_Square.jpg camp in order to clear out vision from around the pits. However, do not do so if it would mean not having your smite available for taking said objective, look at charges available.
