Recovery - Will help you to regain your lost hp if you'll get poked but still watch out!

Explorer - Most of the time someone will chase you in the river so using this will help you to increase the chances for you to survive.

Runic Armor - Sona abilities are based on increasing the movment speed, healing and attacking. With this your abilities will be stronger

Insight/Perseverance - You can choose both of them but i prefer Insight because sona has some cooldown on her skills.

Wanderer - You need it to escape, very importent.

Secret Stash - Very effective during fights, 1 Bisquit and you can regain the amount of mana you need to stay alive(besides of the healing effect :P)

Meditation - Sona is a mana drainer in the early stage of the game so this will help you to get a little bit more mana so you'll be able to stay with your adc longer.

Bandit - You can't take farm but you need money. this is the perfect choise to gain money fast without to take your adc farm.

Intelligence - Like I said before, sona need this for her a little bit long cooldown's.

KEY MASTERY - Windspeaker's Blessing / Thunderlord's Decree - Windspeaker's is very effective and increase the power of your

and the shield an ally champion is getting by staying in the aura zone but i preffer Thunderlord's Decree because it's doing damage and the

is mana drainer so I prefer at the early stage more damage.

Maxing the first will help you to do a lot of damage to the enemy champions which is a good thing. This skill is also importent for the early and mid game because you can poke with this and it's very effective with Thunderlord.

Is importent also the heal your allies but it's not very effective before the third upgrade and it's also taking a lot of mana so watch out while using this!

Will help you to escape, I think that 1 point is all what you need before the late game, it will help you to escape.

The ultimate move that will help you to capture some enemy champion's that will try to kill you. It's good for escapin and not only for stun to kill so remember this.

A Good headstart, will help you with mana regan and healing yourself(and also some damage to your pokes).

Core Items

Eye of the watcher is for wards, Mikael's will help you agains supports with cc like morgana or leona and also give you good mana regan. Zekke is for a little bit power, ardent is for manaregan and more ap while rabadons give you extra boost of damage

Situational Items

Switch Rylai's Scepter with Zeke's if you see you need to do more damage or to slow them.
Switch with Eye of the watcher in the late game for another boost of AP(100 ap + rabadons passive) and it will give you mana also
