Summoner Spells Back to Top

4.png

You must take the flash summoner spell. It's really helpful if you make
mistake in your positionning or if you want to get next to a squishy
such as a ADC or APC.

14.png

Ignite is obviously a good choice to snowball : and that's what we want
when we play Talon! Moreover, the DoT (Damage over Time) which comes from the passive talonpassive.png + the
ignite can surprise the enemy so you can take the kill easily with these spells.

talonpassive.png Mercy - Passive

"Talon's spells Wound champions and epic monsters, stacking up to 3 times. When Talon attacks a champion with 3 stacks of Wound, they bleed for heavy damage over time."

This passive allows you to take first blood lvl 2 with your classic combo.

talonnoxiandiplomacy.png Q - Noxian Diplomacy

Cost: 30 Mana

Talon stabs the target unit. If they are within melee range, this attack deals critical damage. If they are outside melee range, Talon will leap at his target before stabbing them. Talon refunds some health and cooldown if this ability kills the target.

Talon leaps to target and deals 80/100/120/140/160 (+110% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage. If cast from melee range, Talon does not leap but instead critically strikes, dealing damage. When Noxian Diplomacy kills a unit, Talon regains health and refunds 50% of its cooldown.

Mind the that if you're within melee range, you will crit, the damage can really surprise your opponent. Use it in lane to sustain.

talonrake.png W - RAKE

Cost: 55/60/65/70/75 Mana
Range: 650

Talon sends out a volley of daggers that then return back to him, dealing physical damage every time it passes through an enemy. The returning blades deal bonus damage and slow units hit.

Talon tosses a volley of blades, dealing 50/65/80/95/110 (+0) physical damage to units hit and returning to him after a delay. On their way back to Talon, the blades deal 60/85/110/135/160 (+60% bonus Attack Damage) additional damage and slow the enemy by 40/45/50/55/60% for 1 second

A great spell that we have to max when we play Talon, it allows you to waveclear your lane and to harass the enemy at the same time if you know when to cast it. Moreover it slows the enemy, so it can be useful in some cases. If you touch your opponent with the goings and comings, you can all-in him with Q + AA.

talonw.jpg

taloncutthroat.png E - Assassin's Path

Cost: No cost
Range: 725

Talon vaults over any terrain or structure, up to a max distance. This ability has a low cooldown, but puts the used terrain on a long cooldown.

Talon vaults up to 0 units over the nearest structure or terrain in the target direction. The vault's speed is affected by Talon's movement speed.Talon cannot dash over the same section of terrain more than once every 0 seconds.

One of the best roaming spell, push your lane and roam as much as you can with it.

talonshadowassault.png R - Shadow Assault

Cost: 80/90/100 Mana
Range: 650

"Talon disperses a ring of blades and becomes invisible while gaining additional Movement Speed. When Talon emerges from invisibility, the blades converge on his location. Each time the blades move, Shadow Assault deals physical damage to enemies hit by at least one blade.

Talon disperses a ring of blades and becomes invisible for up to 2.5 seconds, gaining 40% Movement Speed. When Talon emerges from invisibility, the blades converge on his location. Each time the blades move, Shadow Assault deals 120/170/220 (+90% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage to enemies they pass through."

An amazing spell ! you can use it in different situations and in different ways. Explanations :

1) The enemy jungler ganks you? Press R to escape

2) You want to burst your enemy laner as fast as possible? R - Q - W - AA

3) A messy fight? Press R to go throught the back line and rush the ADC/APC to burst it as fast as possible with the classic combo Q - W - AA

4) The enemy ADC is farming alone on the botlane? Press R in a bush to go to him quickly and burst him down in a few seconds with the combo.

5) Your botlane/toplane sucks? Roam, and use your R to surprise the enemy.

6) The enemy Nexus is naked? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) go to the enemy base, press R to go next to the nexus and start to hit the nexus shouting "XPEKE GIVE ME YOUR ENERGY". ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ FREELO ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ

talonR.jpg

crimson_elite_avatar_by_captainduckers-d Talon strengths :

  • Being a Duelist and  an Assassin at the same time, Talon can delete a target as fast as a 107.png.
  • Shadow Assault allows Talon to roam easily and take kills on every lanes.

  • Heavy AoE ( Area of Effects) damage. If you are fed, you can carry a teamfight alone with the Shadow Assault talonshadowassault.png, the Rake talonrake.png and the active of the Ravenous Hydra 3074_32.png damage.

  • The 3142_32.png and the Shadow Assault move speed buffs allow Talon to run very fast, so he's able to catch a lonely opponent easier. Moreover you can buy 3117_32.png or 3009_32.png to be Usain Bolt \( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)/.

  • He can be invisible, which will disturb the enemy.

  • He snowballs hard.

  • With the right build ( 3142_32.png3035.png3036.png or 3071_32.png ) , even tanks cant resist you.

  • Talon is classy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

ul.jpg Talon weaknesses :

  • No real escape, so if you engage with Shadow Assault, you cant escape from the enemy

  • Squishy

  • Dependent on his items.

  • When he is invisible he is countered by 3341.png, 3364.png, 2043_32.png, 4.png, 25.png, 105.png and 64_64.png
  • Armor can be annoying

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

    Pussy start.
    Aggressive start, my favourite.
    Dont forget your trinket. ᕙ༼◕ل͜◕༽ᕗ

Core Items

    1. RUSH Serrated Dirk
    2. Get the draktharr
    3. Get boots, according to what you're facing. I assume that mobility/swiftness is a matter of taste and you have to pick one of those in most of situations. However, you could need Mercures if there are way too much CCs in enemy team or even Ninja Tabi if they are full AD comp.
    4. A good item for talon atm, there is a good movespeed passive, the AD stat is now buffed and it allows you to debuff the armor of all the enemy team. But the more important : 20% CDR. Tip : If you play Talon top and you're facing a tank, get this as your first item
    5. Get the youmuu AD, Lethality movement speed
    6. Guardian angel
    7. Dominik if there are tanks, otherwise take the last lethality item

Situational Items

Drink is important, mum told you so, i guess ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) . So think about elixirs! Wrath Elixir for more damage and Iron Elixir for more tenacity and fear enemy with your... size.

VS

Ahri

Easy

You can start with 2041.png or 1036.png, as you prefer.

Poke with Rake Talon_Ratissage.png (W).
Note that if you start with 1036.png you will have to poke less with Rake Talon_Ratissage.png(W) or you'll be Out of Mana.

Try to All-in level 4. If you cant, back, take 1037.png or 1036.png and All-in level 6.

Then just push your lane and start to roam.

VS

Akali

Medium

Start 2041.png and poke her a lot with Rake Talon_Ratissage.png(W), DO NOT LET HER FARM.

Akali is a melee champion, so if she tries to farm, just attack her with the AutoAttack reset ( AA - Talon_DiplomatieNoxienne.png )

If she's bullying you, just rush 3155.png

Try to push her under turet, roam on botlane, and dont forget to warn your mates if akali is missing.

VS

Anivia

Hard

Start 2041.png or 1036.png2003.png2004.png

Her passive is really annoying, i advise you to :
- Dodge her Q spell (stun)
- Call your jungler, its easier to kill her + her passive
- Roam a lot (Anivia hasnt got a good roaming potential, outroam her then)
- Get 3155.png and 3111.png if there is another magic damage dealer in their team or if she's bullying you

During the laning phase, your goal is to outfarm her
Then just roam and win the game.

VS

Annie

Medium

Start 1036.png2003.png2004.png and rush 3155.png.

Poke with Rake (W) and All-in level 4 and/or level 6.

Then just push your lane and start to roam.

VS

Azir

Easy

Start 2041.png or 1036.png2003.png2004.png.

Farm & Poke with Rake (W), then All-in level 4 and level 6 (care, if he is level 6 too he can brain you and bump you under his tower really easily because your E Teleport yourself behind him)

dont forget to roam.

get 3155.png if there is another magic damage dealer in the enemy team.

VS

Brand

Easy

VS

Cassiopeia

Easy

VS

Cho'Gath

Hard

start 2041.png and try to farm as you can without getting killed.

roam at level 6, you wont kill him anyway except if its a really low elo, Cho'Gath is obviously a broken champ that you cant trade.

VS

Darius

Hard

start 2041.png and try to farm as you can without getting grabbed.

roam at level 6, you wont kill him anyway except if its a really low elo, darius is obviously a broken champ that you cant trade.

tip : you can cancel his ulti when you press R

Laning/Roaming Back to Top

The Laning Phase :

1. Easy Matchups 4.png238.png157.png134.png :

Start 1036_32.png2003_32.png3340_32.png and be as much aggressive as you can, harass with  talonrake.png, with new talon you can now try to first blood your opponent lvl 2.

If the enemy laner is a melee like 238.png or 157.png, try to attack them when they try to farm with talonw.png + talonnoxiandiplomacy.png+ AA

Even if it's an easy matchup, think about wards, so you know if the enemy jungler is waiting for you and if you are able to kill your enemy without taking risks. Moreover, Talon has no natural escape, so spend 75/100 gold to save your 4.png is really interesting.

2. Medium 103.png268.png7.png61.png101.png / Difficult Matchups 127.png105.png34.png131.png82.png:

Harass with talonrake.png  and focus on your farming.
If it's a hard matchup,i advise you to wait for your jungler to try to kill the enemy.

If the enemy laner is a melee like 131.png or 105.png, try to attack them when they try to farm with talonw.png + talonq.png + AA

If you take the advantage on the lane (your opponent is midlife and you're full life, their spells are in cd, oom...) you can try to kill your enemy, but beware about essential factors like the enemy jungler's position, if the enemy support isn't roaming, etc ...

WHEN CAN I FIGHT? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

1. You have to pay attention to enemy's cooldowns.

for example if your enemy is a 238.png, engage him when he used his shadow Living_Shadow.png to harass you.

When his shadow disappears, and if you touch your  talonrake.png and get 2  ( AA + talonnoxiandiplomacy.png ) and finish him with  and  14.png.

2. Combo (under level 6)

 talonrake.pngtalonq.png + AA ( + 14.png ).

3. Pay attention to the enemy jungler

check the map.

buy 2055.png and use your 3340.png.

4. MIND THE MINIONS

Talon uses AA to fight, which does aggro enemy minions, so be careful about those, cause they can inflict you a high amount of damage. Always think about the good moment to go, otherwise you'll just get fucked.

5. Level 6 Power Spike ᕙ༼◕ل͜◕༽ᕗ

OMG you unlocked a new spell ! Shadow Assault talonshadowassault.png.

This spell is very powerful, you can now kill your enemy easily : R + Q + W + AA

Tip: with Shadow Assault talonshadowassault.png, you can be invisible for a short duration, you can now brain an enemy.

EXAMPLE : your enemy is a 238.png

when he will press R 238.png to kill you, just press R talonshadowassault.png too. GG you are invisible, zed cant do anything more, and all his spells are probably in cooldown.

FINISH HIM : talonnoxiandiplomacy.png + talonrake.png + AA ( + 14.png ).

The Roaming :

Talon has a strong roaming potential with Shadow Assault talonshadowassault.png, you can go to the other lanes to help them (or to take kills ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) and surprise the enemy with invisibility.

Talon snowballs hard, it would be stupid not to benefit about this strength.

Moreover, if your laning phase does not go well, it's a way to come back in the game.

The new Talon has one of the best spell to roam : P A R K O U R  talone.png

Don't hesitate to abuse it, push your lane and roam botlane to get the classic double kill.

[BONUS] The Story of Talon Back to Top

Talon's earliest memories are the darkness of Noxus' underground passages and the reassuring steel of a blade. He remembers no family, warmth, or kindness. Instead, the clink of stolen gold and the security of a wall at his back are all the kinship he has ever craved. Kept alive only by his quick wits and deft thievery, Talon scraped out a living in the seedy underbelly of Noxus. His mastery of the blade quickly marked him as a threat, and Noxian guilds sent assassins to him with a demand: join their ranks or be killed. He left the bodies of his pursuers dumped in Noxus' moat as his response.

The assassination attempts grew increasingly dangerous until one assailant met Talon blade-for-blade in a match of strength. To his surprise, Talon was disarmed and facing down his executioner's sword when the assassin revealed himself to be General Du Couteau. The General offered Talon the choice between death at his hand, or life as an agent of the Noxian High Command. Talon chose life, on the condition that his service was to Du Couteau alone, for the only type of orders he could respect were from one he could not defeat. Talon remained in the shadows, carrying out secret missions on Du Couteau's orders that took him from the frigid lands of Freljord to the inner sanctums of Bandle City. When the general vanished, Talon considered reclaiming his freedom, but he had gained immense respect for Du Couteau after years in his service. He became obsessed with tracking down the general's whereabouts. Talon's suspicions led him to the doors of the Institute of War, where he joined the League of Legends in order to find those responsible for Du Couteau's disappearance.

''The three deadliest blademasters in all of Valoran are bound to the house of Du Couteau: my father, myself, and Talon. Challenge us, if you dare.''
-- Katarina Du Couteau
