Don't forget "F" is for your offensive spell in which would be smite NOT FLASH. Gosh everyone knows that. lol Ghost may be preferred to flash for the shorter cool down and the more movement speed allowing you to give chase or flee with much more ease.

I have also tried a much more offensive set with Fervor of Battle as my keystone but it was simply just to squishy. There is some debate weather Runic Armor or Veteran's Scars are better but with the amount you can use your heal and shield I find it is worth the 8% bonus. If you are playing in a team comp it may be advisable to take Legendary Guardian however as 15% tenacity you get with Swiftness is a big bonus i would normally recommend it. Remember to check your masteries before every game to make sure they are set to give you the biggest advantage possible.

Taric's dazzle.png is his only damaging spell and his only spell that does not have a cast time so we will be maxing that first, fallowed by his shatter.png to get that sweet armor and a bigger shield. Taric's imbue.png is his only ability that the mana cost grows every time you upgrade it so it will be last. You don't want to be spending all your mana on the heal till you have enough to use however you please. Don't forget that most of you damage will still be coming from auto-attacks and your taricpassive.png. If a fight is in your favor and you can start as you please (against monsters turrets or ambushing from bushes) be sure to use shatter.png auto twice thendazzle.png.  If you need the stun more obviously you will use dazzle.png first. Just be sure to auto twice before using another spell to get the most damage out put, understanding if you need the heal/shield you don't have time to wait on autos. As your dazzle.png has no cast time it is vary useful for running away put it behind you to keep your followers at bay.

Starting Items

    getting a Refillable Potion to upgrade into a Hunter's Potion is just not worth the good as you may not even use the second Health Potion.
    This should be your first back.
    Don't forget to switch to this once you are lvl9
    If you have extra gold after sheen get one of these. Though if you have somewhere between 300-350g don't bother waiting for the blade and get a dagger

Core Items

    this should be your first full item
    generally you will only get one of these unless you have at least one other building full tank on your team.
    Normally i would go blood razor unless you are the closest thing to a tank your team has. With Trinity & BORK you will have sufficient attack speed, if you feel the more damage and cdr would be better warrior is a great item to take the place for for blood razor
    Once you got some nice damage you need to start staking some armor and MR. Zz'Rot's if you are behind and GA if you are ahead
    Some vary good armor items.

Situational Items

    I don't generally get boots as you have a stun and at least 1 slow with you.
    If you are feeling really quarky.
General rule of Taric jungle 3 offensive and 3 defensive items unless your team needs you to be more tanky or already has enough tank and you can have some more damage if you chose. Make sure to finish your 3078.png before anything else. If you have at least one building full tank you may chose to buy both (if your team is not all that tanky only get one)  3153.png and 3124.png but make sure you finish your 3706.pngenchantment before you buy the second item. 3153.png doesn't have nearly as much damage as 3124.png but has more sustain and constant attack speed unlike the stacking from3124.png. As said above you will have sufficient attack speed if you want to get 1400.png instead of 1416.png but i still prefer 1416.png for the health shred and high attack speed. If you are the only tank you will definitely want to get 1401.png. Buy the time you are done buying Offensive items you should only have about 45 MR  and 100 armor. You may need some MR if they have more then just their mid and supp playing AP champs, especially if they are wreaking you in which case you will want 3065.png if it is fairly constant damage or 3102.png if it is real bursty damage. If MR is not essential to your survival though getting a 3026.png if you are winning is great or3512.png if you are being pushed up a lot or just want to push towers down faster. Once you have enough MR to decently sustain you, armor stacking should be a goal in mind as it will make you shield bigger give you and you shatter.pngbuddy more armor and more damage with yourtaricpassive.png. If the enemy team has 2 or more auto attack based champions then 3075.png is vary viable and if not 3143.png can give you some nice armor, health, and another slow.

Malzahar walking his army out of a bush and silencing you is to much for a early Taric to handle. If he is ad its not so bad and you can take him late game but early he will crush you.

His mobility can be a right pain but if you can land your dazzle.png you can repay the damage. It may be smart to save your dazzle.png till after he uses hisalphastrike.png

Like most ad people Rengo can't handle your armor and damage out put.

Early Game Back to Top

To start you will be hunting The Great Frog "Gromp" warding the river bush may  be smart to give you some warning of invasion. A good leash at Gromp can you are set. As you are fighting blue buff you will need to use one of your 2003.png and the shatter.pngdazzle.png combo about three times or until the blue buff is dead just use your autos to kill the little guys. Try to line your stun to hit all the monsters if you can. After blue you will be short on health depending on how good your leash was  getting Scuttle Bug is not a necessity but still very beneficial if you don't want to use that second 2003.png yet. Pick up your wolves and head over to Raptors you can stun all four if done right but normally you will only stun three but be sure to kill all the small birds before you kill the big one. try to only use your imbue.png if you are at 3 stacks or full mana.  After Raptors getting the other Scuttle Bug while waiting on smite to come up or if you need the health is a good use of your time once you have smite and are satisfied with the amount of health you have take Krugs kill the small Krug first then smite and kill the big one. With the Gift of Heavy Hands buff taking red buff shouldn't be hard at all just keep using that combo and healing. While jungling and you have your imbue.png at 3 stacks you can use it instead of shatter.png. At this point you should have the strength to farm in the jungle comfortably. When you have the gold make your first back.....     --> ON TO MID-GAME -->

Mid Game Back to Top

Now you have the strength to farm comfortably 3706.png and 3057.png's bonus damage. You should be looking for laner that you can gank. If you can get shatter.png on them before you gank that will help a lot or if they have CC you can chain yours off of. Bottom lane is generally a good place to start as the support normally has some sort of CC or top lane ad you have a clear goal of killing one target that you can come up from behind. Just because you can gank now doesn't mean you don't need to farm anymore keep taking camps and gaining gold. After a successful gank in bottom lane look to taking a drake while you have the advantage. Or if the laners are to low/don't want to help with dragon you can push and do a significant amount of damage to turrets with taricpassive.png just keep using a spell every two autos. If someone shows up while you are hitting the tower just leave don't risk your life for a bit more turret damage. The same can be done in top lane but with Rift Herald instead of the drake. Once you get your three offensive items and start working on some defensive ones be sure to take into account how pushed the lanes normally are and who is doing the most damage to you as you start getting tankier.....    --> ON TO LATE GAME   -->

Late Game Back to Top

At this point the only drake you can get is the Elder Dragon, you should be doing a considerable sum of damage and able to take a few hits without to much problems. Team fighting is you preference but if you are to behind grouping could mean that you will get aced and your opponents will just end. There is no shame in trying to run "Generally in warfare: If weaker, be able to avoid them. Therefore a smaller army that is inflexible will be captured by a larger one" to quote the art of war. instead of fighting and dieing try to out maneuver them split pushing and taking objectives. One tactic that can be done is you tank a turret for your ADC to kill after the turret taking almost quarter of your health use your tarichammersmash.png and keep killing it using shatter.png and imbue.png as much as possible. This is vary effective, just taking towers and backing, and made even more so if you have 3056.png and or 3512.png.

Use your abilities in this order Q E Q W (repeat) or Q W Q E (repeat) just remember to auto twice after each spell. Be cautious to your mana consumption early game you can blow through your mana  rather quickly.
