Summoner Spells Back to Top

31.png - Make sure to use this spell as soon as possible the poro king is OP! Use on close targets or targets that wont move (eg. stunned targets) for easy hits. Also when king is up follow through with the dash usethen Q someone and then press F to return back to a safe location.

teemopassive.png - Use to get behind enemy lines to assassinate low HP targets, backdoor enemy nexus or proxy enemy minions. Make sure to use the passive as with toxicshot.png + 3115.png you have quite a bit of on hit damage.

blindingdart.png - Use this to poke or kill when going all in. Early game can help you last hit minions.

movequick.png- Use this to help run in to poke, to escape fights or to get back to lane after death.

teemorcast.png - Place on relic shrines, in on the edge of bushes, choke points, near your towers and on outskirts of battle away from enemy minions.

If behind or its a close game you can place them in the middle of the lane ready to hit the wave to clear enemy minions if your team is dead.

If they have oracles and are good at clearing your shrooms place them more defensively for when fights break out as they wont want to clear them. Can also place shrooms in middles of lane as minions will still hit them.

SPREAD THEM OUT HITTING MULTIPLE SHROOMS AT ONCE ONLY REFRESHES THE POISON


NEVER HAVE 3 STORED PLACE THEM AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE (place 1 on the way back into lane after death)

DO NOT PLACE NEAR ENEMY TOWERS AS THEY CAN SEE THEM

You can have a max of 25 active shrooms at lv3 with 40% CDR.

--- Howling Abyss Tips ---
  • You are very weak early and need to focus on getting minion kills and assists to get the gold for the first 10 minutes.
  • Health relics spawns at 3:00 and every 40 seconds after that. USE THEM ALL even if it means going back to top up mid team fight.
  • Try to execute yourself to deny enemy team gold.
  • Try only to die or go all in when you have a significant purchase.
  • The Poro King will heal allies close to him.

    2nd buy - need more shrooms 40% cdr
    3rd buy

    5th buy (IF NO MR stacking)
    Finish this when you need inventory slots
    4th or 6th buy - If they >=3 enemies with >60 MR

Situational Items

You will have a total of 35 + 7% magic penetration without void staff 3135.png

Meaning you will be doing true damage to anyone with <37 magic resist (MR)

If >=3 enemies have >60 MR consider buying void staff 3135.png (click on enemies in game to see their MR)

This will give you a total of 35 + 42% magic penetration with void staff 3135.png

Meaning you will be doing true damage to anyone with <60 MR


------- The Maths -------

Magic Resistance is calculated after applying these in this order...

  1. Magic resistance reduction, flat.
  2. Magic resistance reduction, percentage.
  3. Magic penetration, percentage.
  4. Magic penetration, flat.

Meaning if a target has x MR then

x*(1-penetration%)-(penetrationFlat)

will be the MR after magic penetration is applied.

And if we want true damage

x*(1-penetration%)-(penetrationFlat) = 0

With rearranging we get

x = (penetrationFlat)/(1-penetration%)

So for 35 + 7% magic penetration

x = (35)/(1-0.07)

x = 37

Also know that when MR >0 the damage you receive will follow

100/(100+MR)

Meaning if you have MR after penetrations have applied

  • 25 magic resistance × 0.8 magic damage (20% reduction). calculated via formula above (100/100+20) = 0.8
  • 50 magic resistance × 0.66 magic damage (33% reduction).
  • 100 magic resistance × 0.5 magic damage (50% reduction).
  • 200 magic resistance × 0.33 magic damage (66% reduction).
