Summoner Spells Back to Top

3.png - Exhaust. This is my default summoner for support. It is amazing at turning around all ins, tower dives, and ensuring that your ADC can get the kills you set up especially with bot lane becoming a party in nearly every game you play. This also scales much better in the late game and can single-handedly turn around team fights if you exhaust the high damage threat.

14.png - Ignite Very situation as a Teemo support. I only recommend taking this against high sustain teams or into a Raka or Nami. Your goal is to get your ADC fed and between your poison and this you will most often steal kills from them.

Masteries Back to Top

This is my standard Support-mo mastery page. We take thunderlords for the aa-Q-aa trade to chunk the enemy adc, and the rest of the masteries extend our ability to roam and deal damage.

teemopassive.png - Teemo's passive is the key to winning lane. It gives you zoning and brush control, and is critical to maximizing your harrasment in lane.

blindingdart.png - Your bread and butter as support. Wait for your passive to kick in and then aa-q-aa the enemy adc and quickly back off when they go for a trade or cs. This will chunk them hard and once you get the timing down it will deny them the cs as well. Try to always make sure it is ready for when they go for a cannon minion. The blind is also critical in skirmishes to ensure your adc comes out on top which is why we max this first.

movequick.png - As a Teemo you want to roam and ward as much as possible, especially with your mushrooms. This allows us to do this and get back to lane faster leaving less time for the enemy to gank our adc.

toxicshot.png - While this ability is critical for other lanes we will not be relying on it for last hitting and will not have the items to maximize its effectiveness until late game so we leave it for last. Take 1 point into it at level 1 if your not invading or being invaded as it will proc all 3 stacks of spellthiefs.

teemorcast.png - Perhaps one of the most iconic abilities in the game, the Shroom. A ward with explosive results, this will give you brush control, vision, and net you unexpected kills. Make sure to zone off your lane from ganks with this as your priority and then branch out from there and place them at dragon, baron, and jungle chokepoints.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Standard start which will allow you to clear your brushes if needed or ward river / tribush.

Core Items

Your core each game. Make sure to upgrade your trinket to sweeping when you buy Sightstone. Redemption is just to good on any support right now and when it gets nerfed then you can ignore it.

Situational Items

AP Build. Get void staff if they have built mr instead of gunblade, otherwise skip it.

VS

Alistar

Easy

Keep out of range of Alistar's W Q combo and it should be an easy lane. Be mindful of his passive heal and his ability to tower dive after 6.

VS

Annie

Medium

Levels 1, 2, and 3 you need to bully her hard. Keep an eye on her stun bar and play passive when she has 3 stacks or the the stun is ready and always be ready for flash tibbers once she hits 6.

VS

Bard

Easy

Your early damage prevents early roams from the bard and once you hit 6 you can shroom up and make him pay for collecting his meeps. Be cautious of his stun and try to auto each caster once to help push the lane. Having a minion advantage goes a long way against bard.

VS

Blitzcrank

Easy

How you play this lane will depend on the adc matchup. If your adc is willing to play aggressive and his high kill potential such as a draven, start Q first and let him grab you. Immediatly blind the enemy adc and go ham with your own adc for an easy first blood.

VS

Braum

Medium

The key to dealing with Braum is to not follow up your first aa-q-aa combo as he will use his w and e in order to prevent all yours and your adc's damage. however you will be able to get in a free follow up combo where his wall will be on cd

VS

Janna

Easy

Your aa-q-aa combo will eat through Janna's combo and the blind portion will negate the bonus damage she gives her adc.

VS

Karma

Hard

Karma has a lot of damage and the ability to lock you down, as well as a shield for her adc. Poke with Q as you can and avoid her skill shots.

VS

Leona

Hard

Leona has a lot of tankiness that you wont be able to deal with early and the ability to lock you down from a range. Avoid her Zenith blade and heavily harass the enemy adc to prevent them from following up.

VS

Lulu

Hard

All the range and utility to prevent you from doing your job and to help her adc or jungle to shut you down. Play safe until you can start getting ap and roam when you can.

VS

Morgana

Hard

A stun, snare, and a shield that blocks most of your damage and your blind. Ward up and play safe, bait out her q, and focus whoever she does not shield.

VS

Nami

Medium

Nami has a lot of sustain and two forms of hard cc, as well as poke that can hit you while stealthed. The key here is to take ignite, avoid her Q, and harrass every time your combo is up then step back and make her burn her mana.

VS

Zyra

Hard

Zyra has a lot more aoe damage than you and hard cc as well as a much better team fight. Step on her plants when you can, and help keep your adc safe.

Summery Back to Top

I decided to OTP Teemo this season and primarily play him top, though I experiment with a lot of different builds on my other account. I find Teemo works very well as support especially in lower elos where adc's do not respect his damage or blind duration. After level 6 your lane should always be safe from ganks with smart wards and mushroom placements.

TIPS

  • Always keep mushrooms up just inside the dragon pit where you can see the edge of the dragon. This will ensure that even if they use the exploding flower to get into the pit you will have vision of them fighting it.
  • Shroom cross points in the enemy jungle. This will cause them to hit the mushrooms more often and give you an earlier warning of potential ganks.
  • Against ability based adcs such as Miss Fortune or Lucian it can be more beneficial to poke down the support instead as your blind will have minimal effect.
  • Roam mid anytime your adc backs or your enemy laners back. If your jungle joins in as well it will lane a kill more often than not.
  • When you go to roam, make sure to shroom just outside the middle of the lane behind your adc to give them a place to fall back to.
  • You can trade in for an early sweeper as you can use yourself and your mushrooms as wards. Denying vision can be just as good, and sometimes better, than having vision from a ward.
  • If the enemy consistantly steps on your mushrooms and does not sweep, invest in a 3165.png after your Liandris. This is especially true against champions like Soraka, Nami, Dr. Mundo, Xin Zhao, or other sustain champions.
