Summoner Spells Back to Top

I personally run exhaust and ignite due to the ability to turn that 1v1 all in early game. With most AP mids running flash ignite and being rather bursty, you can easily lead the engage with exhaust and cut their damage dramatically. After they flash when they get low, follow through with ignite for an easy pick up.

Spin allows you to do the most damage and have a get away at level 1. You can choose to pick up your W second if you feel confident in your lane match and feel that it can get you a kill without the need of your heal. otherwise max Q first for the passive damage and burst heal. max you W second to help get the AD reduction on your W. This is vital as we haven't taken any points into defense, nor will we be itemizing for it.

Tryndamere is one of the tankiest characters when built with overwhelming amounts of lifesteal. By having hydra as well, it only serves to make each lifesteal item you buy more powerful in unison. With roughly 60% lifesteal and having 450+ damage, you easily crit for over 1000 damage, and will be returning roughly 600-1500 health per hit depending on the number of targets near you. When your ult is almost run out, make an exit (preferably over a wall into jungle etc.) and hit a few minions to bring yourself back to full health. choose your last item based on your needs, be it negating magic damage and increasing your life gain with visage, getting needed MS to catch quick ADCs like Ezreal, or armour pen to break through tough targets like J4 or Amumu.

VS

Ahri

Medium

Avoid taking the true damage from her orb, and when engaging on her spin PAST her to make her charm harder to hit. Keep changing the direction you are standing when fighting her to make her work with her skill shots. Frequently retreat to wraiths to regain health out of lane.

VS

Anivia

Hard

You will have a very difficult time farming around the AOE and point and click harass. Generally avoid engaging them unless they are clumsy or wasteful with their CDs and mana. late game trynd will have a better time engaging anivia when using his ult.

VS

Katarina

Easy

Katarina has very low damage harass with her dagger, and is otherwise forced to get in close to deal damage. Take advantage of her shunpo to W her from behind and get some poke in when she is retreating to tower. Its often easy to bait her under turret with her ult, just pop yours and dps her down.

Updates Coming Soon Back to Top

While the basics are on this version of the guide, I will continue to flesh out the game phases and play style guide sections, as well as adding more match up specifics. I welcome feedback and question in the comments. As a further info about myself, I played tryndamere exclusively in solo duo in S3 and reached gold V in 24 games. I play mostly normal matches and generally face gold-plat mid laners with this build. Ive won 615 more normals than I've lost, of which roughly 300-400 are with tryndamere.
