Summoner Spells Back to Top

Come on this is adc don't be a fucking moron

New Runes Back to Top

Masteries Back to Top

Not much to say here, pretty standard adc masteries. Right now Fever is trash so warlords is the way to go, but in the future if it gets buffed then it may be viable again.

So lets talk about abilities. Do not, I repeat waste a point in Q at any level until you have to. It is important to be maxing E, this is because of its early game damage and the bonus AS it gives is very helpful in lane. At rank 3 (level 5) it does an extra 105 damage on top of your AA damage. Your also have this up every 4 AA, so you basically need to be treating this like a Caitlyn head shotcaitlynpassive.png. If you couple this passive with a your W you can do up to 145 extra damage (with a blue card) on top of your AA damage in one hit for probably around a total of 200 damage to the enemy adc. Your E passive is up a lot of the time too so make sure you abuse it whenever you can.

The next tip I have is for having a smoother laning phase, this is to use red cards like jinx rockets. By this I mean when you want to pull a red card and throw it at the back line caster minions so that it will hit the enemy with the AOE too, the cards on your W have 1 to 1 AD scaling so as you pick up some AD items they will start to chunk people much harder. This is a good form of harass and easy way to whittle down the enemy. Honestly the red card is the card i use the most when harassing, I wait for me E passive to be up and then pull a red and walk up and AA the enemy adc (assuming its safe to of course) they will most likely try to walk back but because of the slow you should be able to get at least 1 more AA before retreating back to continue cs'ing. And obviously one of the strongest parts about adc tf is the gold card. A 6 item adc tf can out dual any 6 item adc assuming both have full use of their kits. If you can pull the gold card before they kill you you are almost always guaranteed win in that fight, now this can be countered with a QSS so watch out for that before engaging 1v1 on other adc's.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

come on you know how to play adc

Core Items

    Ideal first back
If you cant get BF work towards this
    Core items in your build
    Most common build
Catch me if you can build

Situational Items

If high health targets or need help self peeling
More burst damage for better poke + tower damage
Can be subbed for LW if team fights are extended and you need more speed to kite
Good for 1v1's or if your getting focused to hard
Ever since the nerf to the AS on active its now worth getting GB

Basically RFC is going to be a big part of your kit. Having a long range point and click stun is very strong. After that you want an IE to follow up on the crit your getting from RFC, this just help with the sustain damage. After those two items along with boots your last 3 items are very situational.

Zonyas can be good for 1v1s flanking or just as self peel and it does add some damage to the E passive and the W so its not bad stat wise.

Tri force is a good burst and poke item with the sheen but does have less total damage stats

Since your immobile bork is great for peeling for yourself and just shredding high health targets

VS

Ashe

Easy

As you will find out with time people without a dash ability do very poorly against adc tf because of his ability to simply walk up and trade and their inability to dodge gold cards.

VS

Caitlyn

Hard

Holly shit fuck this champion. If your going up against a cait then your going to have a bad time. The massive range difference makes it impossible to trade because more times that not you will have to take an AA or two just to walk up top her and use yours. The best thing to do is wait for your E to come up then pull a red card and hit her when she goes for a cs.

VS

Corki

Hard

Corki has high burst and a good escape, the main problem is if you ever walk up to gold card he will just Valkyrie away and even if you do throw the card he will be out of range to AA after making trades impossible. I would recommend harassing with red cards AOE damage and then flash gold carding for the kill.

VS

Draven

Medium

Draven is probably one of the only adc's that can out trade tf when is using both his W and E in unison. I would say to throw red cards at minions near where his axes are landing and then just try and use the gold card to stop him from catching his axes during long trades.

VS

Ezreal

Hard

Ezreal is very similar to corki in his problems. He is just going to poke you down with Q's and then kill you with and ult. Like corki its best to just harass with the AOE of red cards and then you will have to flash gold card when you think there is kill pressure in order to stop him from Eing away.

VS

Graves

Medium

This one is kind of a skill match up. Its important to not tank too many Q's when walking up to trade so in order to trade effectively you should wait for him to Q minions and then go for a trade with your E and W up. You can also hard punish him if he uses his dash aggressively with a well timed gold card.

VS

Jinx

Easy

All i can say is you basically can do to jinx what she does to you but better. Use red card AOE for harass and then just gold card the bitch when its time to kill her.

VS

Kalista

Easy

Adc tf is the bane of Kalista's existence, this is due to having a targeted stun and completely shutting down her ability to kite you. Play the lane right and she shouldn't be a problem late game.

VS

Kog'Maw

Easy

Again like lots of other poeple kog has a weak lane and no escape so just harasses with the AA when E is up and the AOE from red cards then just pull the gold card when the time is right.

VS

Lucian

Medium

This is very similar to the graves match up in where it has a lot to do with skill. Just try and not take harass from his Q and then punish if he dashes aggressively.

VS

Miss Fortune

Easy

Again similar to ashe and kog where she has no escape. Harass with red AOE and e passive and kill with gold, what else do i  have to say.

VS

Sivir

Medium

Sivir can be more of a pain because of her spell shield. The thing to know here is her spell shield does have a fairly long cd so she cant shield every card. So the best tactic here is to bait it out with a red or blue then go after her with a gold when you know its down.

VS

Tristana

Hard

Trist has some good burst that does need to respected and also has an escape similar to corki's which makes her hard to catch. For killing her you are probably going to have to catch her out of position with a gold card at the ready otherwise she will probably burst you before you have a chance to pull a card.

VS

Twitch

Medium

Twitch can be tricky and for him timing on card pulling is crucial. If you are both about the same place in cs and kills then he shouldn't be able to burst you before you have a chance to pull a car BUT you do have to hit the gold card on its first rotation because if you miss it then its probably too late.

VS

Urgot

Easy

Lol

VS

Varus

Hard

Varus's Q harass can defiantly be a problem and when you try and walk up to kill him post lvl 6 he will most likely ult you and strait out range you so its best to either engage with ult on him or a flash gold card if you are going for a kill.

VS

Vayne

Easy

Vayne already has a weak laning phase and adc tf makes it so much harder. When post 6 dueling all you have to do is not stand next to walls and hold your gold card until she presses R. After vayne ults just hit her with the gold card as soon as you can and you will waste a significant portion of her ult duration making killing her much easier.

Things to remember when playing adc tf Back to Top

  • Your base stats are shit compared to other adc's so your going to have to rely on your pure mechanical outplays along with a but of luck. AKA having a damage oriented support greatly helps you get through lanning phase and scale into the late game god you are.
  • Some general tips to help your lanning phase:
  • 1) use red cards to push and harras with the AOE damage 2) trade with blue cards when your E is up for a ton of damage stacked onto one auto 3) once you have RFC trading is super easy.
  • You are a split pushing monster. yes AP tf does split hard too but with you having AD and the blue card damage against towers you will shred these things apart. I will usually split until I'm sure people are right on me then simply ult our before I can be killed and then repeat this process. The map pressure can be great and if a team fight start else were you can be there ulting in behind your front line and start pumping out the DPS.
  • 1v1's are where adc tf shines. Make sure you can hit gold cards the first time they show and as long as the enemy isn't 6-0 you should do fine.
  • Reds and golds in team fights. While the blue does do the most damage out of the cards it doesn't help with and form of cc and most of your damage should be from AA's anyways. Use reds when no one is focusing you and you just need to pump more DPS and use golds when they have a priority target out of position or when you need to peel for yourself.
  • When ulting always ult into your back line not theirs. You are an adc not an apc and even if you do have a zonyas you will not have the ability to 1 hit someone like AP TF does so your ult should only be used for chasing after a team fight or regrouping from a split push.
  • Also your ult has good escape use if used correctly. If you are getting engaged on from a gank in lane then watch carefully for the cc to be used on the other team then ult back to your own tower. I cant tell you how many times a J4 has done the flag and drag combo followed by his ult only for me to just ult out of it because he has no more cc to use.

What supports goes well with adc tf and which ones to watch out against Back to Top

Supports that go well are the ones who have good engage and cc for the team. ADC tf shouldn't need peel since he has his gold cards so having someone like a 89_64.png or 412_64.png allows them to go in and go ham while he sits safe with his gold cards in the back line. CC supports also are good in lane since tf can initiate with a gold card, they can use their cc and by the time they have used all their cc your gold card should be up again very soon making escape impossible for the enemy laner. As for sustain supports like 267_64.png and 37_64.png they still work but are not great. Playing with a supp like this means you have to always be on the same page or else you will both die since you both are very squishy. One of the best supports for tf is 53_64.png. This is because of then endless cc him and tf can chain together, the pull brings them into gold card range then blitz knocks them up and you hit the card followed by blitz ult for silence while the whole time your whaling on them with more cards than a street magician in the middle of downtown New York.

People to watch out for are obviously the ones will the skill shots that can lock you down. Im talking about 412_64.png53_64.png89_64.png25_64.png99_64.png. Not having any escape yourself will pretty much mean you have to burn a flash to stay alive. If you do get hook/bound then your best bet is to pull a gold cards asap and throw it at the enemy adc as to stop them from wreking you nan as you run the fuck away.

And always remember Back to Top
