Summoner Spells Back to Top

Taking 4.png is almost always recommended for every champion because it simply offers so much.
I prefer 12.png on TF because it allows you to make a lot of map movement plays and truly become a global menace. Or simply back and TP back to lane without missing too much gold and exp

Other possible spells are:
  • 14.png You take ignite when you wish to snowball your lane and kill the enemy early or they have someone with lots of regen (like Mundo)
  • 21.png Barrier is great when you might get bursted down in the lane or if they might take ignite against you
  • 7.png Take heal for when you want to negate dps like Cassiopeia
  • 1.png Cleanse is only good versus a lot of cc and you feel like you'll die before you can get any damage out
  • 6.png Ghost gives you a move speed boost for if you need to run away or chase hard.

Masteries Back to Top

This is my recommended mastery page. 12/18/0 gives you bonus damage with sorcery, merciless, oppressor, and assassin. Dangerous game allows you to gain some hp and mana back when you kill an enemy.  You also take the thunderlord mastery as when you land a W empowered auto with your E up it grants you 2 stacks allowing you to Q for the proc and surprising your enemy with the damage. Or allowing you to W-Q-Auto for a easy proc in lane

twistedfatepassive.png Passive: Loaded dice. Grants TF bonus gold (1-6) whenever you kill an enemy unit. Higher chance to grant 6 gold

This is the main reason TF becomes a farm heavy champion. This allows you to first back with an extra 100-250 gold if you're really good at farming and helps you snowball heavily on leads, but also allows you to come back through smart farming.

wildcards.png Q: Wild cards. Throws out 3 cards in a fixed but separating path each dealing full damage to every unit hit.

TF's poke ability, Wild cards has a very high amount of damage and has one of the highest ranges of any skillshot in the game. Use this to surprise your enemies with some poke or clear a wave very fast. While it does require some practice to get use to, it is not hard to master.

pickacard.png W: Pick a card. Allows TF to pick one of 3 cards that will enhance his next auto attack:
Blue restores mana and deals the most damage
Red deals AOE damage and slows the enemies
Gold stuns the enemy for up to 2 seconds at lvl 5

TF's bread and butter ability, one of his abilities that makes him stand out from every other mid laner in the game. This ability is great for mana sustain with the blue card in the laning phase, wave clear with the red card, and massive length stuns with the gold card. Using the blue card + Q to poke the enemy down in lane results in a lot of damage, or you can gold card + Q for untradeable damage.

cardmasterstack.pngE: Stacked deck. Every 4 auto attacks TF does bonus magic damage on hit, passively grants attack speed

This ability is very underrated but is actually very good for farming and very sneakily doing a good amount of extra damage with your w on hit. It's also very good for csing as the bonus damage helps out a lot.

destiny.pngR: Destiny. Reveals every enemy champion (stealthed or not) for a certain amount of time. TF can also tp a very long distance away in 1.5 seconds.

The second thing that makes TF stand out, Destiny makes TF into the ultimate solo-q champion as you can snowball your side lanes simply by ganking and providing massive pressure all over the map. Destiny is also very great for cleaning up fights as you can reveal all the low hp enemies and tp onto them and kill them quickly, or allow allies to kill them

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

    Standard (and recommended) starting items
For facing lanes that have a lot of skill shots

Core Items

You can either rush a lich or a ludens first item because they both work well, and it's more of a preference thing. But getting both items as your first two items is a wonderful start to the game. Always get CDR boots as you want as much CDR as you can get
Depending on how the game is going you can get Hourglass (Facing burst champs like Zed or lux) or RFC (for if you're doing great and want a longer stun range) first, but i do recommend getting them both
Getting rod of ages as your first item and delaying the lich/ludens combo is down to preference, since rod gives you much more health and 100 ap

VS

Ahri

Medium

Skill matchup as if you can dodge her skill shots and land your own you'll pretty much win

VS

Akali

Hard

If you can keep her down pre 6 you'l be ahead but she gains a massive amount of damage at 6 so winning this lane might just be too hard, so try to roam a lot and win other lanes

VS

Annie

Hard

Tilt material

Winning against Annie will require you to be 10x smarter than her and abuse her lack of power after shes used infernalguardian.png

VS

Azir

Medium

If Azir is bad you'll most likely win, but if he'd good this becomes a very hard skill lane to win. Remeber that you can stun him and out poke him, but he out dps's you hard

VS

Twisted Fate

Medium

Mirror match ups just means you better land your stun first
