Summoner Spells Back to Top

4.png7.png
this is the normal spell combination for botlane. Heal is probably the option you want to go in most situations, it can and will save your life and teammates. Do not be greedy and save it to last second(unless you're me). You should try to use it while you still have around 40%+ health so that you will get back up to a decent amount. Best time to use it is during their combo, this way you will have a good amount of health left. Also use it for kiting if you need to, it doesn't make you a noob.

4.png21.png
This is for a more ballsy game. If you only care about your life then this is the spell for you! You better have a support you trust wont keep dying. Many people say use it before they combo but them people are not the smartest. You want to use it right before they use their spell that does the most damage because your barrier will only take so much, try to use it wisely.

4.png1.png
This is for when you're against heavy cc team and want to be useful. Only take this if your reaction time is fast enough to actually use it and not die, but if you can use it with good timing feel free you take it.

Masteries Back to Top

Warlords is your best option for Vayne right now, it allows you to get through lane phase with a lot less difficulty. It also makes kiting a lot easier with the 30% movement speed boost, you can also use the movement speed boost to engage the enemy because they will not expect the random movement speed if you use it quickly after receiving the buff.

If you want to fight more and deal more damage, then take Fervor. It'll allow you to deal more damage in trades.

vaynetumble.png: Maxing Q before W will give you many benefits and advantages. Each point you put into Q will decrease the cooldown by 1 second. Some of the advantages of maxing Q first are:

-It allows you to maneuver around and dodge skill-shots in lane. Champions like Jhin are reliant of hitting skill-shots, you'll easily out-trade him and even kill him if you are able to dodge more skill-shots.

-You will be able to get more farm because Q resets your auto attack and increases the damage of your first auto attack after using it.

-You can reposition yourself during fights, if you are starting to lose an advantage position during a fight you can easily fix that problem.

-During your ult, if you use Q you will become invisible, this allows you to throw the enemy off and confuse them.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Dorans gives you lifesteal, damage, health

Core Items

this is vaynes core item, it makes kiting a breeze and gives you lifesteal to sustain
do i even need to explain
pick one of these badboys early. Phantom dancer makes fighting easier 1v1, shiv makes pushing/wave clearing easy
this will make you 3 shot the weaklings like their squishy adc and midlaner

Situational Items

this gives you amazing lifesteal and makes kiting easy as you get all your health back quickly
your silverbolts will do a lot of %health damage. but if they stack armor youll need these and also for champs so regent health fast like mundo
against bursty people this is good against ad teams
if you dont want to get 1shot by the ap champs then take this
do yourself a solid and not get stunned for days with this item

Don't stick to one build that works in a game you just had. Your build should be built around the enemies strengths and weaknesses. Here are things that you should take into consideration when buying items :

-The enemy champions ( AD/AP heavy)
-Your allied champions
-How far ahead you are (gold lead ext..)
-Skill level ( good enemy AP midlaner means you'll need MR)
-Your skill level (what you're capable of)
-Is a certain champion fed (enemy and ally)
-Your play-style
-Enemy play-style

Things like these should be considered when making the build.

VS

Ashe

Easy

Ashe is pretty easy to beat with almost every ADC if you're decent. She has a similar range to you and you can easily dodge her W by tumbling into your minion wave.   If your reaction time is fast enough and you're not too close, you will be able to side-step her ult using your Q.

VS

Caitlyn

Hard

Caitlyn is a bully. She will zone you from your farm and poke you when you try to go, her damage is high and you'll be forced to stay in tower.    To try and beat her you must farm what you can under tower and let her push it, it will also make ganking for you easier. Dodge her skill-shots using your Q.

VS

Corki

Easy

Corki's abilities can be easily dodged by your Q, he is a spell reliant champion. If he cant hit his skill-shots then he wont do much damage.   Try to E him back when he uses E to avoid taking too much damage

VS

Draven

Medium

Draven is a high damage early champion. He will snowball easily if you give him a kill.   You must E him into a wall or at least make him miss this axe with it, this way you'll be able to do damage without taking a lot from his axes. You can also dodge his R quite easily using your Q, just remember to dodge it when it comes back.

VS

Ezreal

Easy

Ezreal is ability reliant. Dodging his Q is easily done, you dont even need to use tumble.  Stay behind a minion to stop it hitting you. Dodging his ult is easily done using your Q in time.   He'll try to E away from a wall when you use E, keep this in mind before you E. You don't want him to get away because you failed.

VS

Jhin

Medium

Jhin can be countered by dodging his skill-shots, but his autos still hurt. Try to E him when he uses ult.

VS

Jinx

Easy

Jinx is an easy matchup. Her W E are easily dodged using tumble.  You can engage her when she uses W because of the long cast time, you might even be able to condemn her into a wall during this time.

VS

Kalista

Medium

Kalista is tricky, majority of the time she'll have a lot of lifesteal to be able to heal up the damage you're doing, and by the time you've done your damage she'll have enough spears in you to rend.  Try to get her near a wall or make her have to reposition, she will quickly get into position again so try to keep at an advantage all the time.

VS

Kog'Maw

Medium

Kog's range is far farther than yours when he W's. During this time he'll shred your health down.  You want to stun him into a wall as soon as possible other wise you'll be too torn up to continue fighting.

VS

Lucian

Medium

Lucian does a lot of damage early. Dodging his Q is hard but can be done if timed right. Try to interrupt his ult by using your E.

intro Back to Top

Welcome Harry, Welcome Harshdeep. I Elias welcome you to my guide. Please take this 2009.png biscuit as a gesture of my good will.

fin. Back to Top

The matchups do not mean you'll lose or win with no say, all matchups come down to skill at the end of the day. They are beatable and so are you. The only way to get better is through practice, keep practicing your skills and you'll eventually become Gosu.

If you want to be a successful Vayne player you'll have to learn the basic ADC skills. Kiting is essential for Marsksmans to survive in fights, standing still like a potato will get you killed unless they're a vegetable too. Farming will need to be mastered for ADC to stay relevant in the game (this applies to every role). And remember, towers and objectives are more important than a kill.

teamfighting Back to Top

During a teamfight you will want to position yourself behind your team so that you can safely get damage onto enemies. If you are not able to do this try to stay at a safe distance so that you can get out of a fight if you are losinhg. Use your Q to reposition and gain the advatange
