Summoner Spells Back to Top

21.png
Barrier: Generally best summoner spell for ADC in the current meta since supports want to take heal. IF YOUR SUPPORT DOESN'T TAKE HEAL, YOU NEED HEAL!!!
4.png
Flash: best summoner spell in the game, a no brainer.

Masteries Back to Top

6111.png
Fury: Attack speed is a good stat for vayne especially since she's a true auto attack based adc!

6121.png
Fresh Blood: As an auto focused ADC more damage is always welcome.

6131.png
Vampirism: Extra sustain is better for vayne than natural talent since she has no AP scaling and wouldn't utilize half of the stats given.

6143.png
Battle Trance: If you're in combat for 3 seconds Battle Trance is the consistent mastery of choice at this tier.

6161.png
Warlord's Bloodlust: Warlords or Fervor are options but Uzi prefers Warlord's for the bit of extra sustain.

6211.png
Recovery: HP regen is better than %increase stats since you aren't buying defensive items much.

6223.png
Tough Skin: Some damage reduction is appreciated!

6231.png
Runic Armor: Since you have a lot of help from your team in addition to your vampirism+Warlord's Bloodlust you can utilize this well!

6241.png
Insight: Lowered CDR means more chances to flash forward....I mean save yourself from danger...

Tumble: Tumble is the skill that makes you such a slippery mobile character! Using tumble well is the key to good Vayne play. Once you perfect your Tumble skills you can dodge many a skillshot!

vaynesilveredbolts.png
Silver Bolts: Passive skill that is the reason Vayne demolishes tanks. Percent true damage is ridiculous and outputting constant auto attacks on the same target makes you shred.

vaynecondemn.png
Condemn: A dual survivability skill and a way to score kills for yourself with pinning enemies against the wall. Getting good Condemn angles with your Tumbles will net you many kills.
vayneinquisition.png
Final Hour:While Uzi is playing on 7.18 you'll have the opportunity to play on the current live patch. This means whenever you get a kill or an assist while ulting your ult will last longer! Use this to your advantage in positioning and killing not only the tankline but the priority backline!

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Core Items

Situational Items

A standard starting item set is Doran's Shield and a potion. This setup is great for a laner like Vayne who scales well into the late game! Uzi still goes really aggressive even though he starts this. Understanding when to go in and when to not is a great skill. Whenever they're cs-ing and you don't have a creep to cs, is a great place to start.

After that Uzi rushes Guinsoo's Rageblade. This build gives him a constant stream of DPS relying heavily on his Silver Bolt procs. Once you get your stacks up of Guinsoo's in a fight you get a Silver Bolt proc every other auto attack! I would only go this build if you have an Ardent Censer support to supplement your damage though! Otherwise you can go B.F. Sword into a Zeal item such as Phantom Dancer.

Right after he buys the Guinsoo's he buys a Q.S.S. into a Phantom Dancer. This build is all well and fine if you need that much help with CC. If they have multiple forms of CC you can look towards getting Q.S.S. to help you in midgame teamfights.

Once you have achieved a few items your build is highly flexible depending on the enemy's team composition. If they're heaving focused on tanks and CC another item that will help is Blade of the Ruined King. Remember that in the current state of Vayne her Q will not apply critical strike damage to the bonus damage from it. This doesn't mean you can't buy crit chance but I wouldn't first item Infinity Edge.

VS

Tristana

Trist early game can be a one-sided affair that you'll need to take into account! Remember you scale well into the game, but you do need to pull the trigger eventually or you'll get outscaled. Taking good trades can lead to a great lead!

Introduction Back to Top

RNG has been synonymous with Vayne almost as long as Vayne has been in the game. You can see a lot of the confidence Uzi has in his play, not only by his decision making but even by his runes! Below we have some insight to some of the things he seems to look for and also things every Vayne player should be on the lookout for!

Early Game Back to Top

Early laning phase is when Vayne is the most fragile. Whenever you play Vayne remember that you need to live through lane at all costs! Being wary of enemy ganks is the most important aspect to your play. While Vayne can turn many situations, if you put yourself into a bad position after it's never worth it.

Paying attention to your enemy laner's tendencies are a huge indicator! If the enemy has been playing passively for the past 7 minutes and then randomly start going aggressive you can tell something is probably up. Another thing to be wary of is, if your lane is getting pushed into your turret with a fat wave, ward the bush behind your turret. The worst thing that can happen is if you die when there's a big wave at your turret!

Mid Game Back to Top

After an item or two your power will start coming online. Vayne is one of the best duelist marksman and if she has the sneak advantage almost no one can duel.

As a hyper scaling character you need to always be farming, whether that's champions or creeps it matters little. If your team is ahead and grouping for objectives you can as well assuming you can start fights! Playing around the edge of the fight is an important skill to be a good marksman. A good analogy to how to play teamfights is imagining a teamfight like a bubble. You can poke the bubble little by little and be fine, but if you're in the center of the Teamfight bubble you'll just pop it.

If you are split pushing always be very careful of the enemy's location. If you see no one on the map and your team has recalled its a safe bet that you're about to have a party centered around yourself! If you can flank their split pusher and are on decent footing vs them you can easily engage them! Using your R -> Q from outside of vision will enable you to get into range while invis! Potentially setting you up for a solid Condemn into a wall for an easy stun. Taking the opportunities that present themselves is a huge part of the play of Vayne.

Late Game Back to Top

Full late game Vayne is where you make it or break yourself as a Vayne player. As a true late game carry, your positioning is of the upmost importance. Staying safe is very important but to make the God plays you will need to throw yourselves into danger sometimes. Understanding cooldowns of the enemies and of your teammates can make a dangerous play much less so with that knowledge!

Staying away from their priority targets is a solid solution for a character who has Percent True Damage. Focusing the games from front to back is always an option. If you decide to play in this way make sure to always get your procs off if possible! The name of the game is Silver Bolt Procs and being a nuisance.

Uzi plays Vayne to an extremely high level. Through practice and understanding of the game you can also achieve this. Pay attention first and foremost to yourself, but after that you need to always have vision of the enemy. Not only so you know when to attack but when to skillfully retreat from danger and save your life.
