Summoner Spells Back to Top

11.png Smite

This is a jungle guide. There is no reason to jungle without smite.

4.png Flash

Flash is our second summoner spell. Flash is just too strong on Vi to consider anything else. It can be used offensively with the Flash Q combo or defensively to get away from certain death.

12/0/18 Strength of the Ages

This page is what I have been running lately when jungling Vi. Strength of the Ages is very strong at the moment and gives a good amount of health while stacking and then a way to obtain sustain once it becomes fully stacked. There is a reason why almost every jungler is running with Strength of the Ages. The resolve tree also has important things such as Insight which lowers the cooldown of summer spells by 15% which allows for more flash q engages.

12/18 Thunderlord's Decree

This is the  page you will want to run when you want to do damage while jungling Vi. We go 12 points in the Ferocity tree to get Oppressor for the consistent 2.5% damage. The rest of our points are put in the Cunning tree to assist us with our jungling and to pick up Thunderlord's Decree. When coming out of the jungle to gank  is significantly adds to our burst and is very easy to proc when landing our combo.

vipassive.png Blast Shield

PASSIVE: When Vi damages and enemy with an ability, she shields herself for 10% of her maximum health for up to 3 seconds.

This ability is what keeps Vi so healthy when clearing the jungle as well as alive when fighting enemies.

viQ.png Vault Breaker

Vi channels for up to 4 seconds, increasing Vault Breaker's range, speed and damage over 1.25 seconds. Vi can still move while channeling, but she cannot use basic attacks or abilities and is slowed by 15%. At the end of the channel, Vault Breaker is automatically canceled. Enemies hit are knocked back and receive a stack of Denting Blows.

CD: 18/15.5/13/10.5/8

This is our main ability. It is our engage, disengage and cc for fights. Max this first to drastically lower the cooldown of the ability.

viW.png Denting Blows

PASSIVE: Vi's basic attacks and Vault Breaker each apply one stack of Denting Blows to enemies that they hit. At 3 stacks, the stacks consume themselves to deal bonus physical damage to her target. For the next 4 seconds, Vi removes 20% of their armor and she gains bonus attack speed.

This ability really starts to give us damage with the armor shred and attack speed it gives. This is the second ability that is maxed to keep our damage up as the game goes on.

viE.png Excessive Force

PASSIVE: Vi stores a charge of Exessive Force periodically, up to 2 stored at once.

ACTIVE: Vi's next basic attack gains range and deals bonus physical damage, which also hits all enemies in a cone behind the target. Can be used as an auto attack reset.

Recharge Time: 14/12.5/11/9.5/8

Excessive Force is important as it allows us to make use of denting blows. Make sure to use it as an auto attack reset to break their armor and get the attack speed steroid quicker.

AA-E-AA or Q-Auto-E

viR.png Assault and Battery

Vi dashes to the target enemy champion, knocking them up for 1.25 seconds upon arrival and dealing physical damage. While charging, Vi is IMMUNE to crowd control and knocks enemies in her way to the side dealing 75% damage to them

CD: 150/115/80

Our lockdown. Point and click on your target and you will shoot straight for them knocking them up and then slamming them down. This is typically used on a priority backline target like the ADC or mid laner but can be used on someone diving your carries like an assassin or to pick off a wandering support trying to roam a little to far from their team. BE CAREFUL WHEN USING AS THEY CAN REPOSITION WITH A TIMELY FLASH TO PUT YOU UNDER THEIR TURRET OR IN THEIR WHOLE TEAM.

My goal off of my build is to get to 40% CDR. By reaching 40% it allows for more ultimates and more Vault Breakers for catching and locking my targets down.  After picking up the first part of my jungle item I finish it into warriors as it is the best jungle enchant on Vi. The next item to shoot for is Trinity Force or Black Cleaver. Both of these offer good damage as well as some good CDR and health. From here I look to start getting tankier items to survive when I go in with my ult to lock someone down.

Be cautious of an early invade, especially when doing your first round of buffs.  Use your trinket and check the brush when going to do your buff to try and prevent them from getting the early kill and your buffs. If they show ping for your team to collapse and get them our of your jungle.
