Thunderlords vs Fervor vs Strenght of the Ages

Thunderlords degree gives a lot of burst damage, and you win any fight 1v1 usually. When you gank you basicly oneshot anyone with a full combo if they dont have any armor or health, because the extra damage from thunderlords.

Fervor scales a lot harder into late game. It gives between 1 and 14 AD (based on level), and since every ability Vi has scales with AD, you get a ton of damage in teamfights expecially (because in teamfights you usually have a lot of time to stack it up, and make good use of it).

Strenght of the Ages grant you a total of 300 HP and sustain, which honestly is really solid on any jungler. If you like to play tanky Vi instead of bruiser/assasin Vi, feel free to take this mastery. It could also be necissairy if your team has no tank.

Always max Q first. It gives you less cooldown and better damage.


Here you have two options:

Max W Second: Max W when they have HP stackers like Mundo, Cho Gath, Nasus, Tahm Kench ETC.
The reasoning is because your W deals % max health, which basicly means the more HP they have, the more efficient W is. To create a good synergy with your W, I recommend buying 3153.png. It deals % current health, so it's good against HP stackers.



Max E Second: E gives a lot of burst. It has an insane 140% of max AD, so I generally only max E if they are very squishy, and I have a lot of AD to scale the damage. 1038.png1038.png1038.png In patch 6.5, Riot Studios buffed Vi once again, by increasing her E damage.

Although you have two options, I personally max W second always. It does lots of damage to monsters so your jungle clear is way faster. Therefore you can clear jungle really fast, and scale harder.

    Warrior gives many good stats for Vi. Boots are obviously situational.

If he invades you, don't Q right away, as he can cancel it with his Bandage Toss (try to bait it).

WHY WOULD ANYONE PICK BLITZZ JUNGLE???!? Jungle blitz is terrible because of his low damage, slow jungle clear and his abilities helps him nothing in the jungle. If you come across a blitz jungle, just ward behind your buffs and leash the jungle monsters into the bush, in case he hooks the minions over the wall.

Medium

She has good damage, many shields and most likely will beat you 1v1. Avoid her at all costs.

Late game Vi is much better.

Medium

Pretty even machup. Vi usually wins 1v1 though.

In teamfights, they both offer great CC.
Be careful, as he can interupt your Q with his ultimate.

Hecarim

Easy

Hecarim will ever have any pressure on you. Biggest threat would maybe be a countergank mid.

Jarvan IV

Easy

Vi has better damage. Vi has better scaling. Vi has better teamfights.

You can use Q to get out of his ultimate.
The only thing I would be worried about is his early invade.

Jax

Hard

His E counter Vi hard. He can cancel your Q with it, dodge damage from autos and E.

A smart Jax will also ward hop if you try to Q him.

Lee Sin

Easy

Vi is better than Lee when it comes to damage.

Be careful of early invades.

Master Yi

Medium

You win early, but late game he will use his Alpha Strike to dodge your abilities. Buy armor, or you just explode.

Nunu

Hard

If he is an experienced Nunu, he will invade you most likely (if not gank mid).

If he invades you just walk away, it's not a shame. Ask your teammates to ward for you so you can be a bit more safe.

Shaco

Easy

Vi wins easily against shaco. Be careful of his ignite though. Chanses are good he will invade, so placing a ward in the dragon/baron pit (depending on side) will spot him easily. If you start blue side, put a ward in the river bush. If he plays it correctly, he can cancel your ult by either using his clone or going invisible

Tahm Kench

Hard

Broken Champion atm.

Ban him every single game. He is literally unkillable in teamfights, and he eats everyone.
Be careful not to over extend in a lane, because of his ultimate.

VS

Udyr

Hard

He invades you and you die :(

He scales into a monster.
DON'T pick Vi against Udyr.

The standard combos on Vi are quite simple:

This is gonna be your most used combo. It lets you proc your W, so it deals a lot more damage. Only use the flash if you need to get closer to your target.

These combos lets you get closer, so you can use your ultimate. good to know.

Another great combo. It chains all of your CC, so they can't do anything. You generally use this if you want them locked in a posision for a longer period. NOTE: use your second Q immediately.

GENERAL VI KNOWLEDGE:
Always auto attack once before using E. It creates an auto attack reset, so your damage is way better.
