Masteries Back to Top

Ferocity:

Fury/Sorcery:

Always take Fury because your Q-Steel Tempest counts as a Autoattack and Yasuo scales really good with Attackspeed.

Double egded Sword/Feast/Expose Weakness:

You could change to feast if you feel like you need the Sustain, don't take Expose Weakness because it doesn't help you in Lane and you want to splittpush later on,so you don't really need that.

Vampirism/Natural Talent:

You could change this, but i like to have the extra lifesteal early on.

Bounty Hunter/Opressor:

Bounty Hunter is better for Lategame but you could take Opressor for better trading and kill pesure in lane.

Battering Blows/piercing Thoughts:

Battering Blows because your Main Damage is AD.

Warlord's Bloodlust/Fevor of Battle/Deathfire Touch:

I take Fevor of Battle because this scales better with Attackspeed and im not playing really agressive early,so i don't need that much Sustain.

Cunning:

Wanderer/Savagery:

Savagery helps for Lasthitting and im not really concentrating on roaming.

Runic Affinity/Secret Slash/Assasin:

You don't need runic Affinity because you're not getting any buffs early on,you could take Cookies but you don't really need them, also i'm concetrating on Splittpushing and 1v1ing,so Assasin really helps.

Merciless/Meditation:

Always take merciless because Yasuo doesn't have Mana.

Bandit/Dangerous Game:

So,this is where my Guide differantiates from normal Yasuo Guides.

If you want to follow my Guide or/and addept my Playstyle, this is very important because it helps in getting fed/farmed without getting Kills.

The Reason behind maxing E is that you gain more Damage with your stacked E,more mobility and your lowering the Cooldown of both the E itself and the cooldown on Targets. It may not seem like much but it actually really helps.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Blade is the Standard.Take this if you feel like your safe in Lane and don't need any defensive Stats from Items early on.
Start with Shield if you're laning vs a Champ with high attackdamage/attackspeed or single target poke like Olaf or Pantheon.
Start cloth armor vs Heathy AD's like Riven or Darius and if you feel like you need the Sustain from 4 Potions.

Core Items

Phantom Dancer helps in Splittpushing and Dueling and also offers Crit and Attackspeed.Frozen Mallet makes you relatively tanky and helps when it comes to sticking on your Target. Infinity Edge greatly increases your Damage and brings you to 100% Crit.
Build this after your first Back.Really important for farming up and scaling!

Situational Items

Boots: Tabis against heavy AD Teamcomps. Mercs against heavy AP Teamcomps and/or much cc.Swiftys against much slows.
Offensive Options: Bloodthirster helps in Teamfights because of the Shield and the great Sustain it offers. Blade is good for Splittpushing and against Tanky Teamcomps because of its Attackspeed and passive.Death's Dance greatly increases you dueling power and opens for a more aggresive presuring playstyle. Trinity Force does not offer Sustain but it offers Movementspeed and more Utility. It also synergizes very well with Steraks and Yasuo's Kit overall.
Defensive Options: Against heavy AP Teamcomps build Maw if you're ahead and Spirit Visage if you're behind or your Team has no Tank.Against heavy AD Teamcomps build Sunfire if your Team lacks on AP Damage and Randuins if the enemy Team has much Crit.Steraks if the enemy Team has much burst and Mercurial Scimitar if the enemy Team has much cc.

VS

Darius

Hard

Try to play as passive as possible early on and wait for Ganks. If you want to all in him try to stay near him so his Q doesn't heal him and deals less Damage.Start Cloth Armor and take Exhaust against him.

VS

Dr. Mundo

Medium
Try to get Executionners Culling after your Zeal. You can kite him relatively easy if you block his Q with your W-Windwall.Start Dorans Blade and take Teleport against him.

VS

Ekko

Easy

Really easy to trade him early on,at level 6 be careful and try to bait his ult so you can get your Knockup on him.

Start Dorans Blade and take Teleport against him.

VS

Fiora

Hard
Only farm against her early.Try to bait her W so you can get your Knockup on her.Start Dorans Shield and take Exhaust against her.

VS

Gangplank

Easy

You have Killpresure early on him, abuse that and try to denie as much Minions as possible.Dont play around your Ult to much because your most likely not be able to use it very often. If he wants to destroy his Barrels try to block his Q with your W.Start Dorans Blade/Shield,both Summoners are good in this Matchup but i prefer Exhaust.

VS

Gnar

Easy

You kind of need to play aggresive against Gnar, because if you don't he would just poke you out of Lane.Don't stand near Walls if you fight him in mega Gnar after 6.Start Dorans Shield and take Teleport against him.

VS

Illaoi

Hard
Works similar to Darius, try to play safe and wait for Ganks. You can block her Q with your W-Windwall.
Start Dorans Blade and take Exhaust against her.

VS

Irelia

Hard

You're stronger pre 6,she's stronger after 6.She spikes really hard with her Trinity Force but you got your Phantom Dancer Powerspike earlier,so try to fight her if you got Phantom Dancer while she hasn't got her Trinity Force yet.Start Dorans Shield and take Exhaust against her.

VS

Jax

Medium
Just farm up and try to get good roams/tp plays later on.
Start Dorans Shield and take Teleport against him.

VS

Jayce

Medium
Farm up and get him after 6.Block his q+e Combo with your W-Windwall.Start Dorans Shield and take Teleport against him.

VS

Malphite

Easy
Just farm and scale. You're not able kill him,he's not able kill you.
Start Dorans Blade and take Teleport against him.

VS

Pantheon

Medium

He has killpresure on you early on,you're stronger than him after 6 if you play it correctly. This is the only Matchup i'm running Warlord's Bloodlust instead of Fevor of Battle.Warn your Teammates when Panth's missing after 6!Start Dorans Shield and take Exhaust against him.

VS

Renekton

Hard

He's way stronger than you in the early/midgame,so try to farm as much as this Matchup allows you to.Start Cloth armor and take Exhaust against him.

VS

Riven

Medium

Pure Skillmatchup. If the Riven plays better than you,you lose and vice versa.I like to rush Sunfire Cape against her,she won't be able to Oneshot you but you still deal a good amount of damage.Start Cloth armor and take Exhaust against her.

VS

Vladimir

Easy

Same as Gnar.Play agressive and try to bully him as good as possible.Wait until he used his W if you want to all in him.Start Dorans Blade and take Teleport against him.

VS

Yorick

Easy

You can kill his Ghouls really easy. You can dash out of his W.Try to bully him early on.Start Dorans Blade and take Teleport against him.

Useful Tips&Tricks Back to Top

Wall dashing:

Position yourself behind the Junglemonster so it stands between you and the Wall your aiming for.Now just try to get as near as possible to the Junglemonster and then just dash. This is not something learned by doing once so you may train this in a custom Game.

ArkaDaTa's 'Beyblade':

E-Q-Flash

This is useful if you need to reposition your E-Q combo. It's also really suprising for the enemy because there's litteraly no reaction time to this. Also not that hard to pull of,but should be trained.

ArkaDaTa's 'Airblade':

Q-Whirlwind/Teammates Knockup-E-Q
Only works with 1.33 Cooldown on your Q.This cancels the Animation of your E-Q and aplies the Damage under your Ult.It can suprise enemies because you deal more Damage and you only need to use 1 Q after it to get your Q-Whirlwind Knockup again.

W-Animation canceling:

Use your Q-Whirlwind right after you used your W to cancel the Animation of your Q-Whirlwind.Unexpected Knockup that can suprise the Enemy.
