The True Power of Death Back to Top
Yorick is fun to play with a simple ability set to use. Sadly, no one plays him very much. There are good reasons why people don't use him, but I will list my own thoughts with my own experience. The biggest number one reason is probably due to his early game. Yorick's whole power and play style are linked to his abilities and with little mana cannot do much. This doesn't mean he is hard to use, just hard to play as. What I mean is that his abilities and play style are simple to use, but to play him depends on how well you can trade your attacks, manage your mana, and know when to attack or retreat. It also doesn't help if he is in lane against a ranged opponent due to his close to mid rang combat. However, Yorick's power will shine through after the early phase of the game. Yorick's whole style is to be in the face of his enemies and outlast his opponents in a fight. Although Yorick lacks any gap closers to engage and start a team fight, he can dish out as much damage as he can take, and can stick to enemies easily thanks to his Q and W abilities. Now again, one must survive the early phase of the game and unlock the the raw power Yorick has with all his abilities. In the end, Yorick is possibly the strongest champion late game and no one can duel him all because of his abilities allowing him to outlast anyone. Now Yorick isn't hard to learn, he has a simple ability kit to use, he is just a pure fighter. The difficulty with Yorick comes from his lack of mana early game, as well as knowing his opponents. If you want a champion that brings overwhelming power and enjoy being up close to your enemies, then Yorick is a very fun champion for you. I hope that this guide will help and show the true power of Yorick, and if it did, give a thumbs up. I choose to play Yorick because he was one of the least champions used; and now, he is one of my favorite Champions. I will continue to edit and update this guide, so come back every now and then.
