Summoner Spells Back to Top

So basicly this is your main summoner spells and I wouldn't choose any other over this.

Mostly I start with jungling with my W. You need a bit of damage to start of with and the damage is descent. After I finished the golems or Gromp, I immediatly go E so I can jump in the buff and be faster with clearing. Once your camps are done, you mainly want to level your E first for the longer range and damage. Most people max their W first, but hey do what you like but I recommend going E first for the range because you will be ganking alot, early, mid and late game. After the E you will want to upgrade your Q for the slow and last but not least your W.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Core Items

    1. Okay this is your core (Cinderhulk is quite strong on Zac) and you will want to rush Cinderhulk --> Boots
2a. This is my core if the enemy team is balanced.
2b. You can run this as core if you want a bit of damage (explained later) or if the enemy team is Mostly AD
    3. Don't underestimate this item. It is a strong choice when chasing tanky enemies. If so, build this right after your 2-3 tanky items.
    4. Choose between these items for finishing your build (depending on what core you built). (only build Zhonya if you want both damage and armor, otherwise go for the tanky items)
    Example Full Build A
    Example Full Build B
This is if you really need a pure tank full of ''YOU CAN'T KILL THE BLOB M8'', but I would recommend A and B over this.
ADDED: PATCH 5.13 Alright listen up, this is the build I use now. This is freaking powerful with the new buffs.

Situational Items

You want damage or you build the thornmail + warmog core? Choose this.
DON'T BUILD THIS. A mini zac will cry everytime one is created.
    See explanation.
    No. This needs a buff.
DON'T. It doesn't stack. IT DOESN'T (BUT WHY IS IT IN RECOMMENDED NOOB??) NO
3083_32.png  Warmog is a item I generally like alot on Zac, I build this often when I find that the enemy has many AD players or if a good chunk of health regen is needed to prolong fights.

3158_32.png Now you may wonder ''Why not Mercs or Ninja?''. Well when you enter your pre mid/mid game, you will already be quite tanky. The cooldown is great for spamming your skills and basicly jumping more often with your E.

3512_32.png Okay only build this if you want to siege faster or if you really need the stats.

3800_32.png Now this may seem like a poor choice because Zac has no mana, but listen up. You get a good chunk of health, health regen and a great active. Although I build this item rarely, it is only needed if your team has no real speed initiations.

3075_32.png i want to explain another thing about this, in a way you can always go for option 2B, because with this item you will have all the armor you need, a great passive and it is cost efficient. You will be running with a example build roughly:

4k health, 190ish armor/MR and 150ish AP.

As the current patch is, if played right, she can easily dominate your jungle if it's unwarded. You generally need to ward or ask your teammates, 1 on 1 you wont win early, maybe late, but I recommend fighting her in a teamfight.

This matchup depends on your teammates how well they can handle her.

This fucker is a pain in the ass to play against. Play safe, ward alot, buy pinks. The whole story.

This guy is a beast when played right. But the reason why i place him as medium difficulty, is because people still aren't used to him.

About me Back to Top

Hi. I'm a Dutch Gold EUW player. I mostly main Support and Jungle (In general tanky ones) since season 4. I made a account a long time ago, but I was to busy with Guild Wars 2 and School at the time. Now I am studying atm and while I have little time, sometimes I have the time for many matches. This is a quick guide on how to build Zac and basicly help your team to victory.

These were my latest matches with Zac (ignore my nasus and bard games haha).

lol1.png
lol2.png

And here are my Season 5 statistics (6,2 KDA) (I will need to update these stats weekly ._.):

Zac Back to Top

Zac is a tanky and balanced jungler. In the right hands he can cause chaos in the enemy team and carry your team to victory (atleast in gold). NEVER build zac full AP. You will jump in enemies many times and if you build full AP you will die within a second. Zac is a tank. Build him like a tank first. Damage is a later concern (you already have sustained damage).

This is for example what Zac can cause:

carrying.png

Now in this game, I decided to early gank right after wolves the toplane to give irelia the early firstblood. After that I multiple times doubleganked (none expect the double gank inquisition) botlane to give them the advantage, luckily our nidalee was performing great. But because of this early advantage in the first 10 minutes, you basicly carry the game if they handle their advantage good.

TL:DR: Being a annoying fuck with Zac is your key to victory.

Pro's & Cons Back to Top

Pro's:

  • Great early till late ganking power
  • Knock-ups and slows often
  • Sustainability (heals etc)
  • Teamfight potential is great
  • CC tank
  • Second Life

Cons:

  • 1vs1 is lackluster
  • Your ult and E can be a hit or miss and can cost you a teamfight
  • If counterjungled, it can cause problems
  • The passive can also be useless
  • You're team needs to react on your moves. If they don't, it will be a problematic game (atleast your kda won't change alot on the brightside...)

Early, Mid and Late Game Back to Top

EARLY

Start: Gromp --> Blue Buff --> Wolves

  1. After you're done with gromp, pop a potion and E right into the blue buff, repeat when you go to the wolves and you will end up with around 50-70% health. Now you will be lvl 3 and you should check immediatly if a lane needs a gank. If yes, immediatly head there and E right into their face (try to aim a bit behind them so they bounce towards your teams side).
  2. You ported back, grab a trailblazer 3713_32.png and if you have firstblood or assist, further upgrade it into the cinderhulk direction. Head to the red buff area, repeat and around lvl4-5 you will need to keep an eye on the lanes where you should gank (ganking positions will be explained in the ganking section).
A tip (you don't have to follow this tip): help the winning lane.

If you help the winning lane, let's say botlane, you can let them have more freedom by roaming and like that you can focus on the other lanes more while botlane also helps with helping other lanes and objectives.

MID

In this phase you will generally be making initiations. You will have Your boots and 2-3 tank items probably. Lane phasing will be almost over.

*More will be added*

Ganking Back to Top

As shown in the picture is the path you follow 1-2-3:

ganking locations.png

After you're done with this path, you immediatly check if you can add pressure or gank. The number 4 indicates what the perfect E jump locations are IMO.

*more to be added*

Objectives Back to Top

DRAGON

Only initiate a early dragon if you ganked bot and killed at least 1 or 2 of them or if the jungler is or down or toplane. NEVER initiate if you don't have vision or have no idea where their jungler is.

If their team is initiating the dragon, you have a few options:

  • You can yolo E jump into it and steal it and flash out of it (risky).
  • You have botlane and mid to help you, so fuck it, you jump in and (pre-6) you spam your W and Q or (after 6), immediately ult so your buddies can make the kills. It's not even a problem if you miss the dragon, if you made kills and lost none, it is worth imo.
tip: engage dragon when they are engaging at 50% drag health. Like that they won't run away probably and you have more chance of grabbing a dragon alive.

I will add more explanations. Ganking spots. The general stuff. Throw your feedback in the comments below!
