Grasp of the Undying- 4: The health isn't bad, you get bigger and percent max health is good. You are a jungle not a top
Aftershock- 8: Max health, armor, and magic resist all good stats for Zac already and the stats are based off a 20s cooldown not a shorter one. 40s or once a fight would probably be optimal, but 20s isn't bad for jungle
Guardian- 5: Helps with 2 v 2, sucks that you can't chose it with a spell, AP and bonus health scaling

Why do we have a jungle?

A jungle consumes the most possible resources for a team. Instead of only splitting the 3 lanes of cs.


What jungle should i play?

In general if you want to climb play something fun as boredom is the biggest threat. Any jungler played well can be very effective.

As of 2-3-17  
Which is most important...  
Early Damage: Lee, Elise  
Late Damage: Kha, Rengar, Yi  
Difficulty: Voli  
Team fight: Zac, Sej, Amumu


Who to gank

Champs who low mobility and have limited cc are easiest to gank  
Easiest to Hardest to gank_
Illaoi, Annie, TF, Jhin, Yorick, Lucian, Fizz, Riven, LeBlanc

Champs who have hard cc, high mobility, high damage  
Easiest to Hardest to gank for
Morde, Illaoi, Mao, Jhin, Fizz, Thresh, Malz, Riven

Use op.gg or whatever your preference to look at the scores your teammates. If the player has over 6 games played and averages high kills (varies for rank) (only factor in kd and winrate not assists)  
diamond- 6+  
plat and gold- 7+  
silver- 9+


Repeated ganks

Ganking Top, Bot, and Mid once is 4 burned flashes in 3 ganks and 0 kills in an optimal scenario.  
Ganking Top and Top is 1 burned flash in 2 ganks and 1 kill in an optimal scenario

Their best player  

Gank him early, if they get fed avoid them in all plays and pushes, unless you can out number them for sure.


Predict enemy jungle

If bot is late they started top  
If top is late they started bot

Around 3 minutes they will finish taking the opposite buff and the side they end on becomes susceptible to ganks. If the lane is closer to enemy tower, stay in the area and take the scuttle.

In general if a lane is constantly pushed tried to stay around it while keeping your cs numbers up. If this means invading the jungle this should be okay as your lane has pressure.

Reactive

If their jungle ganks top and you cannot counter, take his bot jungle, gank bot or mid, or take dragon  
If their jungle ganks bot and you cannot counter, take his top jungle or gank top or mid

Catch all lanes at tower to maximize gold if your laner is missing, but if both laners leave you can shove the lane

How To Play Zac Back to Top

Whenever you are headed somewhere take as many camps as you can on the way. E jumping into camps and continue your path. 


Gank lanes early and often. Repeated ganks are more effective than new ganks, burn flash first, then regank

Gank the most immobile person, land behind them, ult back

Claim all farm at tower and push in lanes if it can die to tower and reset before your laner returns

If you see the enemy jungle on the opposite side of you. INVADE

E
  • You can't E tap any walls
  • Tap E and you will hit just in front of you
  • You can hit behind you with E with enough health
  • If you become blobs mid E you fall above that spot
  If the champion lacks a jump
  • For E, lean on the side of their base, if you miss ult
  Picking alone
  • At high level (~ plat +), the easiest way to dodge/miss Zac E is to head to max range and juke back toward him, the majority of players will attempt to maximize distance to catch up. 
 If they have dash
  • Predict the dash, E the dash range (with the circle indicator they should at least jump somewhere if you aim at them so worst case you miss anyway, but have the opportunity to cripple spirits and look cool
Before team fights
  • If your team has some form of peal or tankiness. Remain outside of vision, get a red trinket and possible a good vision ward to make sure. 
  • Often the lane pressured is mid, if you know one side it warded and don't want to waste clear or don't have it. Just switch sides or back up and sit behind a jungle camp (refer to How to Play Zac)
  • While team pushing mid, don't clear cs, just clear wraiths, wolfs, and scuttles, the distance you can safely be from your team varies on rank and team comps. If you have a solid lead you should be good to leave
  • Cancelling E halves the cooldown. You can always charge and cancel
  • If you are winning, force a fight if numbers are even and you can E at least 2 people (factor in jumps and dashes) even under tower

Passive
  • In a teamfight you are winning go as hard as you want, losing passive is bad, but they won't have time to kill you and you help carries
  • On a chase while low you can often jump ahead of your team and bait a turn around burst and let the team catch up
  • If a bruiser or carry can focus on blobs 0-7, you are dead, after this you probably can survive
  • Can be tp'd and smited
  • Don't make dumb plays, but getting caught bad and losing passive and dying is an even worse thing than usual
Ult
  • You can ult without hitting someone simply to dodge cc
  • Pushing against a wall is optimal, pick up blobs (only one direction to go) and hit bounces easier
Dealing with Split push
  • Wait for them to push to tower, position your E to kill the wave and hit them, smite any stragglers, ult them back into tower
General
  • Take waves crashing into towers
  • If a wave is just outside tower range, tank/freeze it for your laner to come back (if they have left base)
  • While holding a blue buff or freezing a lane, prep E when your teammate gets close and launch asap
  • Around 17 picking up 1 blob and missing 1 auto and hitting 1 person with w is worth dps wise
  • Avoid walls when going into passive (concentrates the blobs)
  • A Syndra W doesn't effect reform time
  • Blobs can never be on opposite sides of a wall of Zac

General Over Divisions Back to Top

Zac is a champion that requires high macro and medium micro play to use to full potential. He can just be played as a disruptive tank like anyone else though.

Bronze- 7: Zac sheer stats makes him a strong but something is clearly lost.
Silver- 6: Zac is still hard to deal with but Zac still isn't being played effectively and people only got better
Gold- 7.5: Gold for me is the breaking point. People in gold are good and Zac can get some good Es
Plat- 8: Plat is the pinnacle of Zac play. It still holds the solo q mentality that allows you to punish stragglers without getting caught yourself, but also rewards big teamfights.
Diamond- 7.5: Although Zacs tend to have to be with their team and he loses a bit of solo q power. He remains strong through all stages for the game

  • Straight buff
  • Possible to grab Liandry's second, but buy 300 armor as you have lots of heath and little resist
  • The buffed part is the 1500 item so just holding that is strong as well
  • Even against non-tanks it is strong

  • Jungle exp changes good for Zac
  • Best at raptors clear, just generally prioritize and take both sides raptors

The strength of BORK and lethality are pretty strong hits to Zac


Big Zac change 5-7-17
- The tank changes seem good for him so far
- More pick oriented and less team fight oriented
- Playing high farm, big team fighter Zac as I do seems to work, but more time needs to be spent looking for picks

With Zac change, he is in a good place

6-10-17
He is too easy to play for how complex they made his kit. He is too forgiving of bad play.  This combined with the fact that we now have 10 bans makes it difficult to get him

You aren't good at siege, you sit in the wings so you can charge E in fog of war and threaten the enemy to back up and kill them if they don't


If you are up sizably (5 kills as a team) and can hit either 2 people, at least 1 being a carry or 3 people total with E, go in

Your non committal wave clear is shit, you can only kinda safely E if enemies fall back. 


If you are close (within 10 team kills), you can hit an enemy and minions with E within tower range killing all minions and keeping them under tower with ult and q
