4.png Flash is an can be used a variety of ways for Zoe. When playing her you can use her flash to extend her q                      range, set up a quick gank for your jungle pre-6, or just to escape. This is an essential spell for Zoe.

14.pngThe reason why I primarily go ignite is because of how well it works with electrocute. I can Q -> R -> AA -> Ignite a champ to kill them instantly mid game. It also helps with running away if you feel an enemy is too close as your w will give you a speed boost for any spell.

3.png I've seen players go exhaust before for champs like Zed or Katarina, which is understandable. I feel that it misses the extra damage that can help Zoe execute, but if you really feel the need to play safe I think Barrier is a better choice.

6.png It's rare I see a Zoe go ghost but this serves as a good way to be sticky on your target. I wouldn't recommend it because there's a likely chance you could get other spells from your w to help you stick to your opponent, but if you want a secondary escape this could help.

7.png/21.png Both of these are good choices for Zoe as it allows her protection if you make a mistake(which happens), but I think barrier is a beter option when it comes to the 2 as it gives you a better chance to soak the damage coming at you even if its ignite. However, people can argue heal is better as it gives you double speed boost with your w and can heal another person but it gets countered by ignite/grevious wounds. It's all up to preference on the 2.

Electrocute.png?width=64This is my primary rune page. I go Electrocute over Spellbook/Arcane Comet because I feel Zoe's goal is to burst a champion, not poke them over time unless you're not in a position to engage. Electrocute also works well with your kit as you can proc it by Q -> AA -> Ignite/W. Also, if you somehow missed your whole kit (Which happens) you can still manage to kill the enemy early by fighting with your spells such as: picking up an exhaust from a minion, exhaust the enemy to proc w, then auto(More Sparkles) them between w then cast ignite to reset w and electrocute will grant bonus damage which should enable a kill.

Sudden%20Impact.png?width=32 This works will with Zoe after she reaches lvl 6 as it allows you to get extra penetration everytime you pull off your combo with your R.

Relentless%20Hunter.png?width=32Ravenous%20Hunter.png?width=32 This is a preference. I prefer Relentless hunter because I roam bot a lot, and usually I can pick off assist or kills down there which gives me the movement speed to roam around more. However, if you're in a lane where you under constant pressure, ravenous hunter can help with sustain as your q does a lot of damage to heal you off of minions.

Nullifying%20Orb.png?width=32 I get Nullifying orb as a last protection. If I make a mistake and it costs me to get free damage from an enemy, the shield from nullifying orb is similar to Hex drinker and it can be life saving.

Transcendence.png?width=32 Transcendence provides Zoe with the final 10% of CD that she needs to reach 40% CDR. With low cool downs, her kit allows her to constantly spam her abilities and more opportunities to chunk enemies down.

zoepassive.png Passive - "More Sparkles" - This grants her auto attacks bonus damage after every spell. This can be used in between spells to chunk an enemy's health even if you miss your q and e.

zoeq.png Q- "Paddle Star" - This is her main source of damage. It has a narrow range and taking aim takes alot of predictions in how the enemy moves. By rank 3, this should be able to 1 shot range minions if you have lost chapter. It's important to use "More Sparkles" in between every q to make best use of the passive if you are in a 1v1 or trying to take down a turret. It can be used by Q- *AA - Q -*AA applying More sparkles twice. 

zoew.pngW - "Spell Thief" - This is what makes Zoe's kit unique. Her ability to steal opponents Summoners or find Summoners from minions. List of items/spells from minions:3030.png3152.png3107.png3.png7.png14.png11.png21.png13.png
It's important when chasing/running away to utilize the speed boost "Spell Thief" gives when using spells. Also, try to use all the w damage before procing it again with another spell.
zoee.png E - "Sleepy Trouble Bubble" - This spell makes the enemy fall asleep after a short period of time, waking them up results in true "double the damage" limit to them. What makes this spell so great is how its range can be increased through walls. You can use this to help gank bot lane as even if they ward, you can use the terrain around them to shoot your "ST Bubble" and land it on them. This can also help in team fights where your almost guaranteed to land this as they are clumped up and catch a pick easily.
zoer.pngR - "Portal Jump" - This spell allows Zoe to jump from one place and back similar to a Leblanc W but Zoe's does the jump back after a second. This spell can be used to angle yourself near a wall and land an E shot that would've otherwise missed, Extend the range of your q, or scout out places that are unwarded. It is important to make sure that you know that you will return to the spot where you were before. This can be troublesome as opponents know where you are return and can catch you out there.

Starting Items

    This is the most common start

Core Items

    Rush Luden's Echo,then Sorcerors, then get Oblivion Orb, then Lich bane, then Rabadons, then Void Staff

Situational Items

    If team is AD heavy, or has an AD assasin replace Oblivion Orb with this.
    If the enemy has a lot of tanks that aren't sustainable, replace this with Oblivion orb.

3285.png It's best to rush Luden's Echo as it is now a mana item and provides the extra poke damage that can help Zoe farm early game with the recent nerfs to Q.

3020.png This is the next best item to rush after Luden's as this will enable you to roam more and give you the extra penetration to help your combo have that extra damage.

3916.png It may sound dumb but it's best to just build this item and not complete it. The purpose is to give you the extra penetration. With this, sorcery and ,sudden impact(mastery) you now have 38 magic penetration when most champs have 34 Magic Resist. This will allow you to do true damage to them with all your spells if they build no magic resist.

3100.png This is what is essential to Zoe as it gives bonus damage + "More Sparkles". This will allow an extra 300 damage with every enchanted auto + More Sparkles, which makes it easy to kill enemies with autos if you suck with landing your skills (It happens a lot to me and I cry every time). Also, it helps instant kill champs with your Q ->R -> AA -> Q combo.

3089.png It depends on whether to build Rabadons or Void first. If enemies are building MR, then rush Void. Otherwise, just build Rabadons. Rabadons is an essential item on all AP mages as that extra AP can help out a lot.

3135.pngYour goal is to chunk as Zoe and you can't do that if your enemies are wimps that build Magic resist. Rush this before Rabadons if the enemy is rushing MR, otherwise just save this item last.

Medium

Early Game- She will win early as she can push you in. However, if you manage to pick up a good spell from a minions you can easily all in her as you have enough damage from your combo and electrocute to kill her.

Mid Game- Your goal is to land E on her. If you land E on her you can poke her out until she can't farm. Watch out for when you R as she can use that opportunity to ult in on you and turn the fight.
Late Game- You should be able to beat her by now. However, she has her team now so it can be costly to try and fight. Try to use your E to catch her whenever or poke her with your Q. Awareness is key in this moment.

VS

Akali

Easy

You should be able to poke her early by using your q->AA combo. Try to freeze the wave whenever you van as she will be afraid to be slept by you if she gets too close. Your goal is to deny her as much as possible to ensure she does not snowball. 

VS

Anivia

Easy

Early Game- You should win early as Anivia is her weakest here. You should be able to engage on her anytime and when, however if you managed to get combo'd by her it can result in you losing the fight. The only thing to watch out for is jungler ganks as her passive can result in you overstaying longer than necessary.

Late Game- Anivia can easily destroy you if you R towards her as she can place her ult on your returns spot and q you. Your goal will be to stay near the walls and combo her/squishies there to avoid getting caught.

VS

Aurelion Sol

Easy

Early Game- More than likely, he will push you in. With your passive it should allow you to last hit minions easily. Once you hit level 3, the moment you get a spell should allow you to kill him easily. Your goal is to stay in his circle as his stars are his main source of damage.

Late Game- He will beat you in roams and pushing potential, but you can pick him out easily as you can catch him off guard with a sleep bubble. If you pull off your E ->Q->R->AA-> Ignite Combo then you will instant kill him.

VS

Azir

Hard

Early Game- Azir will push you in and he has longer range than you. it's difficult to try anything on him as he can just e away or win trades against you. Your best bet is to wait for a gank or just farm up til you get your R.


Late Game - You should beat Azir here. The only fight potential he has against you is if he flanks you or if he catches you using your R inappropriately. You will try and stay on the walls/sides and get picks there.

VS

Cassiopeia

Medium

Early Game- This can go either way, the great thing about Cass is that she's immobile. But she has the potential to poke you out. If you can bait her into an E, then you will win the trade easily. However missing a combo can cause her to take advantage of that and push you out of lane.


Late Game- The biggest Issue with Zoe is how predictable her location can be after using her R. Cass can take advantage of that and ult/w/ a there to cause some sort of damage to you. Late game is not the time for mistakes and this can cause a problem. Your goal will be to poke from the sides and not get caught.
